Chapter 54 You Stole It!

Wyatt's eyes gradually showed interest. He also wanted to know how she would solve this problem.

As soon as Zoey walked over and spoke, some people in the surroundings recognized her. After all, the quarrel just now was rather conspicuous.

But those people did not include the woman who arrogantly said she had lost something.

When she heard the question, she glanced at her sideways. "Who are you? How dare you interrupt me?"

Zoey smiled. "Aren't you in a deadlock? You don't have any direct evidence, and she won't admit it. You can't do anything about it, can you?"

"She was the one who stole my thing! What I said is evidence! Do I need her to admit it?" The woman widened her eyes and said angrily.

"That won't work. Everything needs evidence."

"I am the evidence. You, get out. Someone, come and search. I don't believe that she was not the thief!" The woman looked down on Zoey and drove her away.

"I didn't! I didn't take anything!"

Zoey turned to look at the person who spoke. Seeing that she was wearing a gray uniform and looked familiar, she thought about it and remembered that it was the cleaning uniform of this hotel.

In other words, the woman suspected that her watch was missing and was stolen by this cleaner.

"You didn't take it? That's strange. Did my watch run away? Let me tell you. I checked the surveillance camera. After you left my room, it disappeared! And you said it wasn't you!" The woman's fingers were about to poke at the cleaner's nose.

The cleaner was a middle-aged woman. Her hard work made her look haggard and her hands rough. She shook her head hard. "I didn't steal it. I don't know why it disappeared!"

"We will know if it is true or not after a body search." Someone suddenly said beside her.

Once hearing this, someone immediately echoed, "Yes, yes, we'll know once we search."

"You are right. You must take it. Come, search!" She was impatient and raised her hand to let someone search her.

"I, I, okay, you can search me, but if you find nothing, you can't blame me again!" The cleaner was a woman with dignity.

"Alright, I won't blame you if I can't find it!" The woman waved her hand after saying that. There were indeed several people who took the initiative to search.

Zoey frowned but did not stop them.

This kind of thing was hard to judge, and she couldn't do it too much as an outsider, so she silently observed the matter.

The search only lasted for less than a minute. After a while, everyone looked at each other and stopped.

"How is it? Did you find it?"

Everyone's face did not look good. "No, we didn't."

"What? How could you find nothing?" The woman was anxious. "You guys should search carefully. Forget it. I'll do it myself!"

As she spoke, she separated the crowd to search again.

Zoey couldn't stand it anymore and said, "They already said that they couldn't find it, but you still want to search? Won't she be embarrassed?"

"Who knows if they haven't found it carefully! Or has she put it elsewhere? By the way, you are not her accomplice, are you? Your clothes are not cheap, but are you a thief?" The woman suddenly said.

Zoey laughed angrily. "I am her accomplice? Don't you know that people who slander others will go to jail?"

"You don't even know her. Why do you speak up for her? If you aren't an accomplice, then who are you?" She said self-righteously.

"Can't I defend justice? Besides, didn't you say you would let her go if you didn't find it? What about now? Did you find the thing?" Zoey hated those rich people who used their power to bully others!
