Chapter 87 You Couldn't Defeat Them

Zoey did not even spare a glance at such a vile man like Harrison. Instead, she said to Zayne, "Uncle Reed, I've heard of you from my father before. You seem to be living quite well now."

Zayne smiled and said bitterly, "It's alright. Just live like this."

He didn't say anything. He was still a manager and seemed to be living a good life. If she was muddle-headed, his words might fool her.

However, Zoey immediately sensed that something was wrong.

Zayne was already a manager when her father was in charge of the company. After so many years, he was still a manager.

It meant that he had stayed in the same position for the past few years. He hadn't advanced at all. It was strange.

Generally speaking, everyone in the manager position of the company had to accumulate experience. As long as his ability was not too bad, he should have been promoted long ago after so many years.

And she had long heard from her father that his working ability was first-class.

But he was only a manager now, which could only mean that he was either unwilling to get promoted or was suppressed by someone.

She was more inclined to the latter.

As for who was the person suppressing him, she could figure it out effortlessly.

After thinking of this, she said to Zayne, "Uncle Reed, I know you can't take it easy all these years. Don't worry. I won't let you be wronged when I come."

Zayne smiled and looked at her kindly. "Yes, you are here. It is your father's company. It is reasonable for you to take over."

"Yes. Of course, I will take over my father's company. I will do it well. Don't worry. But Uncle Reed, I have just arrived. I have something to ask you." Zoey said slowly.

Now that Keith was not in the company and Jade had temporarily lost her will to fight, it was an opportunity to figure out the company!

Zayne was stunned for a moment before asking, "What is it?"

"It's like this. Are you familiar with the company's finances?" She thought for a moment and asked him.

"Finance?" Zayne's face changed."Why are you suddenly asking about this?"

"I just read the company's documents and felt there seemed to be something wrong with finance, but I can't tell what the specific problem is. I don't study finance. So Uncle Reed, do you know this?" She stared at his expression as she spoke.

Sure enough, when she saw his unnatural expression flash past, she understood it immediately. Uncle Reed indeed knew something!

She was excited and puzzled. In her past life, she had been muddle-headed. Why had she never heard of Uncle Reed's name? Later, when the Yate’s had trouble, she had not seen him. She did not know what had happened.

How could such an important person be silent?

Uncle Reed did not know what she was thinking. He sighed and said, "It's only your first day at work. Why are you thinking so much? Don't worry about these things."

Zoey was a little anxious. She raised her voice and said, "Of course, I have to care about these things. It is my father's company. I will not allow anyone to destroy it for their benefit! They will gain from the loss of the company! Uncle Reed. Don't worry. If you know anything, say it. I will not let you suffer!"

Uncle Reed shook his head, still unwilling to say, "It's not that I don't want to say it. It's just useless to say these things. You are just a little girl. How can you fight with them? Listen to Uncle Reed. Don't worry about it. Anyway. No matter how bold they are, they won't bully you."

"Uncle Reed!"

Uncle Reed shook his head. "I'm a little tired. Go and do your work. By the way, I'll treat you to lunch at noon to welcome you."

The implication was that they could talk about the past, but there was no need to talk about anything else.

Zoey was furious, but there was nothing she could do.
