Chapter 1000 You Must Be Like A lettuce

Milo looked embarrassed and did not speak for some time.

Emily ran over and grabbed Milo's clothes with both hands, looking like he was about to cry. "Uncle Milo, where are the doctors Daddy has arranged for Auntie Yuna? Why haven't they come yet?"

Yuna also gazed at Milo eagerly, as if waiting for his answer.

Milo could not bear such great pressure and said slowly, "The two doctors who were scheduled to arrive at the country today are from America. However, when they went through the customs, they were found to be carrying drugs and detained by the local customs. They may be sentenced."

That time, Yuna was really shocked.

If she remembered correctly, Larry had rich medical resources. It would not have been difficult for him to find a few reliable doctors.

But why did he find two drug addicts?

Yuna asked almost subconsciously, "What's going on?!" Her tone was a little cold and sharp.

Milo shook his head and said hesitantly, "It's said that they carried drugs for their friends. They didn't expect that there were drugs in the box..."

Yuna did not have time to think about what was going on. She just needed to respond correctly.

She suddenly became agitated and raised her voice. "Ask their friends to show up as witnesses. Then the truth will be revealed, won't it? Why do they need to go to prison?!"

"The problem is-" Milo whispered in a strange tone, "that we found their friends, but we failed to find any evidence to prove that they had given the drugs to the doctors."

Yuna clenched her fair hands into fists and closed her eyes tightly, seeming to be suppressing her complicated emotions.

Emily soon felt something was wrong with Yuna, and instantly a look of uneasiness crossed his tender face. He pulled the hem of Yuna's clothes and asked, "Auntie Yuna, are you all right?"

Yuna clenched her fists even more tightly and said nothing.

She looked angry, but in fact, she was greatly confused.

Before setting off, the doctors were suddenly apprehended by the customs for carrying prohibited goods, and would go to prison and could no longer come to the country.

Because of the doctors' misfortune, she could escape.

Was all of this just a coincidence?

Emily was used to being indulged by Yuna. This was the first time that he had been ignored by Yuna.

The little boy thought that something had happened to Yuna, so he became more and more uneasy. He looked at Rowdy for help and said, "Daddy..."

Rowdy came over and put his hands on Yuna's shoulders. "Yuna, calm down."

Yuna could not calm down at all. She thought of Wesley after thinking it over.

Could it be that Wesley was helping her?

If it was really Wesley who tried to stop the doctors, it meant that Wesley had already known about her illness.

However, she had kept it an utmost secret. How did Wesley know about it?

Seeing that Yuna still did not respond, Rowdy held her in his arms and pressed her head against his shoulder, saying, "The two doctors from America are not able to come, but we still have a Swiss doctor. Yuna, don't worry. I will help you find a way. Don't be afraid."

Yuna did not listen carefully to Rowdy's words, but thought of another explanation.

Maybe Wesley did not know about the blood clots in her brain. He just happened to know that Larry had invited a few doctors for her.

Wesley did not know what illness she had.

But he hated her so much that he just wanted to take revenge on her and kill her with his own hands.

It could also be a means of revenge to stop the doctors from treating her.

"Is that what Wesley thinks?"

Rowdy could not rouse Yuna from her reverie for a long time, so he hugged her tighter and spoke softly in her ear. "Yuna, I will help you find a way. Don't think about it..."

Emily looked at Yuna and burst into tears. He pleaded, "Auntie Yuna, don't be like this. Can you talk to me? Woo..."

Children's cries were often softer and more pitiful than adults'.

Yuna broke free from Rowdy's arms, squatted down, and gently touched Emily's head. "Emily, don't cry. I'm fine."

Emily rubbed his eyes and looked at Yuna doubtfully. "Really?"

Yuna held the little boy in her arms and nodded with certainty. "Yes."

After getting Yuna's guarantee, Emily was no longer worried about Yuna's reaction. Instead, he was worried about Yuna's illness. He turned to look at Rowdy and asked, "Daddy, will you find doctors for Auntie Yuna again?"

"Of course." It was the first time for Rowdy to look at his son so seriously and he said earnestly, "Emily, I also hope that Auntie Yuna can recover soon."

Emily reached out his hand and wanted to make a pinky swear with Rowdy. "You must keep your promise!"

"OK!"

The promise seemed to come from the bottom of Rowdy's heart, strong and firm.

A smile finally returned to Emily's tender face.

He stroked Yuna's face with his chubby palms and looked at her seriously. "Did you hear that? Daddy will help you look for doctors again, so don't worry, okay?"

After that, Emily hugged Yuna like an adult and patted her on the back.

Yuna could not help laughing. She nodded and told Emily not to worry.

In fact, both Emily and Rowdy had misunderstood her.

She was more surprised than sad about the fact that the doctors were stopped.

Now, she even felt a little happy secretly.

The fact that the doctors could not arrive in time meant that there was no risk of her being exposed for the time being. She no longer had to worry about it anymore.

With that in mind, Yuna's eyebrows relaxed and the smile returned to her face.

Rowdy looked at Yuna. Instead of doubting her, he was relieved.

After learning that the doctors could not arrive, Yuna looked disappointed. There seemed to be a hand with countless barbs poking at his heart. For a moment, he was actually overwhelmed with sorrow.

As long as the smile reappeared on Yuna's face, he would not refuse to find a new life for Yuna, let alone doctors.

Emily took Yuna's hand and said excitedly, "Auntie Yuna, let's go to the yard and see if the seedlings have sprouted yet, okay?"

A few days ago, when Emily went out, he found a stall selling vegetables and flower seeds. He bought a pile of seeds on impulse. He even told someone to buy tools and was ready to clear the land in the yard.

In this season, in the open air, it was impossible for seeds to sprout, but Yuna did not want to disappoint the little boy.

After thinking about it, Yuna asked someone to build a greenhouse.

Probably on the spur of the moment or because he was really interested in it, he took Yuna to the small greenhouse and sprinkled a bag of lettuce seeds there. He saw them as treasures and visited them three times a day. Every day, he would squat in the greenhouse and talk to the seeds. He could not wait for the big lettuces to sprout.

However, this time, the little boy probably just wanted to distract Yuna's attention by taking her to "visit" the lettuces.

Emily was still short and he walked nimbly into the vegetable greenhouse. In less than three seconds, his scream came out.

"Wow, Auntie Yuna, come in!"

Yuna in and found that the lettuces had sprouted.

Emily squatted beside the black soil and looked carefully at the tender green sprouts. His childish eyes were full of excitement.

He could not wait to Yuna's hand and said, "Auntie Yuna, look, they have sprouted!"

Yuna was also a little surprised and could not help giving out a sigh that life was really the greatest miracle in the world.

Emily turned around and threw himself into Yuna's arms. "Auntie Yuna, can you also be like a lettuce?"

Yuna felt choked and almost laughed. "Why should I be like a lettuce?"

"You have to be as strong as it!" Emily explained seriously, "Look, it's so cold today, but the lettuces are still able to sprout. Well, you don't have to sprout. You just need to recover!"

In fact, Yuna knew what Emily wanted to express from the beginning.

The little boy's wish was very simple. He just wanted her to survive healthily.

However, such a simple wish was the most difficult thing for Yuna.

Yuna touched the little boy's head and fetched some water in a watering can. She handed it to Emily and said, "Water the sprouts, so that they will grow faster."

As expected, Emily's attention was diverted. He took the watering can and ran to water the plants excitedly.

After watering the sprouts, Yuna saw that it was almost time and took Emily back to the room. She asked Kim to take Emily to wash his hands. Then she went upstairs to her room.

Yuna did not notice that when she turned around and went upstairs, Kim took a deep look at her and breathed a long sigh of relief.

Kim just felt lucky that Yuna had finally passed through this difficult stage and she was fine now.

Yuna returned to her room and immediately turned on the computer to cancel the email.

Since the doctors Rowdy had invited could not come, there was no risk of her being exposed for the time being, so there was no need to break into the network defense and send the email out.

Otherwise, once Rowdy received the warning, even if there was no doctors to expose her secret, Rowdy would suspect her.

After cancelling the email, Yuna cleared the cache history from the computer. Then she felt relieved, turned off the computer, and went downstairs to find Emily.

Kim had just helped Emily to wash his hands. He came over with the little boy and said, "Miss Xu, dinner is ready. You and Emily can eat first."

Yuna asked casually, "Where's Brother Rowdy?"

"Brother Everbridge Groupd Milo went out," Kim said, " Brother Rowdy said that because the arrival of the two doctors had gone awry today, he had to make sure that the doctor who was due to arrive tomorrow would be able to have a smooth entry into Arlington."

Yuna nodded and took Emily to the dining room.

She was no longer worried.

One doctor was easier to deal with than three doctors.

She was safe in the Kent family for the time being.

If she was lucky, she might be able to discover more valuable information during this period.

Kim walked out of the Kent family's house and called Wesley...
