The suggestion in Brian's words could not be more obvious.
Joanne had not understood what he meant, but she did after noticing his suggestion.
What Joanne was curious about was whether Brian would make any other requests apart from this matter.
While thinking, Joanne's look was serious. She looked at Brian and said, "Mr. Lambert, don't you have any other goals in your life?"
Brian glanced at Joanne and said meaningfully, "It depends."
"Huh?" There were many question marks on Joanne's mind. "For example?"
"When I'm with you and when I'm not with you." Brian's dark eyes darkened. "Joanne, when I'm with you, I would only have one goal."
Joanne quickly understood what Brian meant. She blushed and looked at him, too embarrassed to ask him what his sole goal was exactly.
When facing outsiders, Joanne could remain absolutely calm.
Only when she was with Brian did she lose her calmness and rationality. She could not even basically remain composed. She was no different from those young girls who saw Brian for the first time, and she could not control herself at all.
Well, as a matter of fact, it was not her fault.
It was just because Brian was so charming!
Brian saw Joanne blush and look away from him, and his heart melted, just like when he saw Joanne for the first time at the age of 16.
Almost uncontrollably, he lowered his head and kissed Joanne gently.
When Gavin was still a playboy, he had once boasted that no matter what it was, the fresher, the better.
He had thought that the feeling of freshness was the most wonderful feeling in the world.
Brian also enjoyed the feeling of freshness, but only when it came to work. He liked to make new breakthroughs and reach new heights at work.
As for the wife, Joanne was the best.
While he thought of this, Brian kissed her more passionately, and his every kiss was very gentle as if he wanted to integrate Joanne into his body little by little so that they would not be separated for any second from then on.
He was greedy and wanted to feel close to Joanne.
What Brian did not know was that Joanne was also tempted.
After being married for so long, every time Brian approached her intimately, Joanne felt as if it was the first time for her to be intimate with him and her heartbeat was out of control.
It was not that she had no resistance to Brian, but that Brian's male hormones overpowered her.
Joanne opened her mouth and almost subconsciously unclenched her teeth to respond to Brian's kiss.
Receiving Joanne's response, Brian became more eager and tightened his grip on her. He seized every inch of her beauty and swallowed every drop of her sweetness. Finally, he filled her up at full blast and a new round of storm started...
Joanne let out a sweet moan, blooming under Brian's body and becoming as placid as a pool of water...
She forgot about her questions and anything else. She could only think about and feel Brian's touch.
The romance and ambiguity that had just faded spread throughout the entire bedroom again.
The next morning, in the Kent family's old house.
Yuna and Emily were having breakfast, while Rowdy was sitting in the living room and repeatedly confirming a piece of news with Milo.
"Are you sure that David is already on the plane?"
Milo nodded patiently and said with much certainty, "I have already confirmed it with the customs of Switzerland. Mr. David has already boarded the flight to Arlington and will arrive at the international airport of Arlington at noon today."
Rowdy cupped his chin, thought for a moment, and ordered, "Send some people to wait at the airport. I don't want David to meet with any accident!"
Milo answered, "OK, I'll do it right away!"
After Milo left, Kim came over and pretended to ask casually, "Brother Rowdy, are you suspecting something?"
Kim seemed to be able to read Rowdy's mind.
Rowdy's cold eyes darkened, and he showed a gloomy and fierce look. "Kim, you must always remember that there aren't so many coincidences in the world!"
"Huh?" Kim pretended not to understand and prompted Rowdy to continue, "Brother Rowdy, what... do you mean?"
"When the two doctors were about to leave from America, their friends suddenly asked them to help them bring in some things and they were detained at the customs. Now that they're in trouble, their so-called friends disappeared without a trace." Rowdy sneered. "Kim, do you think that was a coincidence?"
Kim scratched his head and looked as if he did not quite understand. "Brother Rowdy, hearing your words, I also feel that something is wrong. Is this a conspiracy?"
"Very likely," Rowdy spoke clearly and slowly, "And I suspect that someone is playing tricks behind the scenes. I will find it out."
Kim nodded and said, "Brother Rowdy, if you need me, just tell me."
"All right." Rowdy waved his hand. "Go ahead with your work."
"OK."
Kim glanced at Yuna and left the old house of the Kent family.
The doctor from Switzerland had already boarded the plane and would arrive at noon today. He wondered if Wesley could stop the doctor.
If not, he would help Yuna get rid of the doctor.
Five years ago, Wesley saved Kim from death. From then on, Kim felt that he owed his life to Wesley, and his life would always belong to Wesley.
If he could help Yuna this time, he could repay Wesley for saving his life. Even if he had to expose himself, it would not be in vain.
In contrast, Yuna was much calmer. She sat in the dining room and had a leisurely breakfast. She was even in the mood to discuss with Emily which snack was best, and she almost argued with Emily.
Rowdy sat next to Yuna, but he did not pick up his chopsticks for a long time.
Yuna glanced at him curiously and asked, "Aren't you hungry?"
"Yuna, don't worry. David will definitely arrive in Arlington smoothly. I'll bring him here and ask him to treat you." Rowdy stared at Yuna seriously and did not answer her question.
Only then did Yuna realize that Rowdy was worried about the doctor's arrival for her sake.
She smiled, put a dumpling into her mouth, chewed it and swallowed it slowly. Then, she said, "I'm not worried at all. Why are you so worried?"
Rowdy glanced at Yuna and frowned in confusion without saying anything.
"Are you curious to know why I got over it?" Yuna smiled and shrugged as if nothing had happened. "I just think that life is short. I'd rather enjoy the moment than worry about some tragedies that has not happened yet."
After a long while, Rowdy said slowly, "Yuna, it is because these tragedies may happen to you, that is why I can't enjoy the moment."
Yuna was stunned.
If she hadn't known Wesley, and if she still liked Rowdy, she would be moved and even cry when she heard that.
Now, in order to make Rowdy believe her, she had to be appear to be moved.
Yuna's eyes turned red, but she kept a smile on her face and said as if nothing had happened, "I'm not afraid, so what are you afraid of?"
For the first time, Rowdy sighed in front of Yuna. He said helplessly, "Yuna, of course I'm afraid. I'm afraid of losing you."
Yuna regarded Rowdy as Wesley, and then her tears started flowing.
She forced a smile and looked at Rowdy calmly. "Do you know why I am not afraid? Because after yesterday's incident, I suddenly understand what 'Fate' is about."
Rowdy believed in money, power, and weapons, but not fate.
It was hard to tell whether it was a look of confusion or a sneer in his murderous eyes. "Yuna, tell me, what's 'Fate'?"
"There are some things that you have tried your best to change. However, in the end, you are still unable to obtain what you want. That is Fate."
Yuna looked very calm, as if she were talking about a very ordinary thing.
Then she continued, "For example, after the car accident, Wesley tried his best to let me receive the best treatment, but the blood clots still formed in my brain. You and Mr. Kent have tried your best to look for the best doctors for me, but in the end, the doctors had an accident and could not arrive in Arlington."
"At first, I was also unwilling to accept it. Why did I have to be unlucky? Now I understand that some things are bound to happen to you, and you can't resist that. As long as the worst situation hasn't happened, you don't have to worry too much. What do you think?"
Rowdy did not answer. Yuna did not know whether he was smiling, then she heard him say, "Yuna, you weren't so optimistic before."
"What are you trying to say?" Yuna looked at Rowdy calmly. "Let me make it clear first. Wesley has nothing to do with whom I am now."
Yuna mentioned Wesley so frankly that Rowdy was not going to avoid it. He said directly, "But after you came back from Wesley, you did change."
"Maybe it's because I met Joanne and Wendy." Yuna looked at Rowdy sincerely. "So, I hope you can promise me that even if I leave this world, you won't hurt Joanne and Wendy."
"I can promise you that I won't hurt Joanne. But Wendy is an exception."
"Why?" Yuna became agitated. "Wendy should not pose any threat to you at all!"
"Who said that?" Rowdy was surprised. "Or, Brian doesn't know anything?"
"Know what?" Yuna suddenly stood up. "What's wrong with Wendy?"
Rowdy looked at Yuna and did not speak for a long time. A smile seemed to form in his eyes, and he seemed to be laughing at someone's ignorance.
Yuna gradually ran out of patience and raised her voice. "Say something!"
Rowdy turned the lighter in his hand and said, "Yuna, you will know later."
Yuna knew that Rowdy would not tell her the truth.
However, Wendy just had a special family background. Now that her parents were dead, what did Rowdy mean when he said that?
An uneasy feeling enveloped Yuna like an evil spell...
