Chapter 1004 I Don't Want You to Stay Here Anymore

Joanne and Freya were both smart enough.

No matter what danger they encountered, they could protect themselves with their own abilities.

But Wendy was different. She was too naive.

Even if she fell into Rowdy's hands, Wendy might still believe that one day Rowdy's conscience would smite him and he would stop doing evil.

However, the truth was that there would never be such a day.

Rowdy would definitely make use of Wendy's value and use her to threaten Brian. After Wendy learned the truth, she would most likely collapse.

Yuna did not want Wendy to undergo that kind of experience.

Thinking about that, Yuna felt a chill run up her spine and she looked cold and gloomy.

Emily came over and pulled the hem of Yuna's clothes. "Auntie Yuna, don't quarrel with Daddy, OK?"

Yuna lowered her head and met Emily's expectant and careful eyes.

Her heart softened. Only then did she remember that Emily was most afraid of seeing adults quarrel.

Yuna suddenly regretted it. No matter how agitated she was just now, she should not have shouted in front of Emily. The little boy could not bear such a big shock.

She squatted down, gently caressed Emily's head, and explained, "I am not quarrelling with your daddy. We just didn't agree on something. You..."

Rowdy had never been patient when it came to coaxing children. Before Yuna finished speaking, he had called one of his men and ordered, "Take Emily away."

Emily pursed his lips, looking aggrieved but he held back his tears. It was obvious that he was unwilling to leave.

Yuna had to comfort the little boy. "I have something to talk to your daddy. I'll go to you in ten minutes, okay?"

Emily looked like he was about to cry. He replied with a "hmm" and followed the man out as he looked back repeatedly.

Yuna stood up and looked at Rowdy in confusion. "Why can't you be gentle to Emily? He's still a child. Do you have to scare him like this?"

"He is not a child, but a boy. He doesn't need to be treated gently!" Rowdy snorted coldly. "When I was at his age, I was already in training!"

"You can't send Emily to receive training!" Yuna stopped him without hesitation. "Just take it as a plea from me. Let Emily live a normal life. Don't let him live like us!"

Rowdy roared forcefully, "His surname is Kang, and he is the descendant of the Kent family! From the moment he was born as a member of the Kent family, his life was not in his own hands!"

"Ridiculous! A surname doesn't mean anything at all!" Yuna really found it ridiculous. She sneered and refuted, "Emily is a human being, an independent person. He has the right to choose his own life. What right do you have to ask Emily to live the same life as yours because of his surname?"

Strictly speaking, Yuna was also one of Rowdy's subordinates.

No subordinate had ever dared to refute Rowdy, and Yuna was unprecedentedly the first one.

If it were in the past, Rowdy would not have allowed such a situation to happen at all. Even if it did happen, he would find a way to intimidate her and establish his authority.

However, Yuna was different. She was more important than any of his subordinates.

The most important thing was that the doctor had specially warned him not to let Yuna get too emotional.

Rowdy held Yuna's shoulders and motioned for her to calm down. "Yuna, I can promise you that I won't send Emily to receive training for the time being."

Yuna knew the hidden meaning in Rowdy's words, so she did not calm down. She pushed him away and asked, "What about in the future?"

Obviously, Rowdy did not dare to promise Yuna what would happen in the future.

Rowdy just replied, "Yuna, it's too early for us to talk about this now."

Yuna suddenly changed the subject. "It's not too early to talk about Wendy now, is it?"

Rowdy was speechless.

Yuna's words made sense.

After all, they were just talking about Wendy.

After a long while, Rowdy tried to beat around the bush. "Yuna, you can't help Wendy now, whether you know about what will happen to her or not. So, it's meaningless even if you know it."

When Yuna received training, Rowdy had told her more than once not to do anything meaningless, and there was even no need to know about it.

In other words, he would not tell her anything about Wendy.

Yuna thought for a moment and gave up asking further. She said, "In that case, forget it."

If Rowdy did not want to tell her the truth, she could investigate it by herself.

Gavin was currently receiving treatment in the hospital. It was still unknown whether he could recover or not.

In any case, nothing bad could happen to Wendy now.

Seeing Yuna calming down, Rowdy breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Stay at home with Emily. I'll go out for a while and come back with the doctor at noon."

Yuna did not see Rowdy off. Instead, she went upstairs to find Emily, only to see the little boy sitting at the head of the stairs and the subordinate looking at him with an embarrassed look.

When the subordinate saw Yuna, he heaved a long sigh of relief and said, "Miss Xu, you're finally here! Emily refused to go back to the room. He insisted on sitting here."

"It's all right. Go ahead with your work," Yuna said, "I'll accompany Emily."

"OK!"

The subordinate left the old house in a flash.

Yuna upstairs and sat side by side with Emily. She turned her head and looked at him. "Why are you sitting here? Is the scenery better from here?"

Emily pointed to the door and said, "I can see the door from here."

Yuna suddenly understood that the little boy was afraid that she would leave in a fit of anger, so he sat at the head of the stairs and stared at the door, in case she decided to leave.

She wanted to leave, but it was easier said than done.

Yuna touched the little boy's soft black hair and said, "I won't leave. Don't be afraid."

Emily looked down at the stairs and whispered, "But... I don't want you to stay here anymore."

Yuna suspected that she had heard it wrong. After all, Emily had always wanted her to stay.

After a long while, Yuna asked uncertainly, "Emily, what did you say just now?"

Emily looked up at her and said, "Auntie Yuna, leave quickly."

"Why do you suddenly want me to leave?" Yuna looked at Emily and asked, "What's the matter?"

"If you stay here, Daddy won't care about you. I'm afraid that you and your baby will be in danger." There was actually a pleading look in Emily's innocent eyes. "Auntie Yuna, go back and find Uncle Hayes."

In such a big house, the five-year-old boy was the only one who really cared about Yuna.

Yuna felt warm and hugged the little boy. "Emily, it's good and safe for me to stay here. I won't leave for the time being. I still want to stay with you."

"But what about Sister Wendy?" Emily frowned. "Dad just said that Sister Wendy will be in danger."

Yuna smiled and told the little boy, "Uncle Gavin is sick and can't take care of Sister Wendy, but Uncle Hayes and Uncle Lambert will protect her. Are you relieved now?"

"Uncle Lambert and Uncle Hayes..."

Emily tilted his head and thought for a moment. He seemed to suddenly think it through, and finally his eyebrows relaxed. A clean and clear smile returned to his face.

He nodded and said forcefully, "Yes, I believe in Uncle Hayes!"

Yuna was very curious to know why the little boy was so sure that Wesley would not hurt her and could protect Wendy when Emily just spent less than a week together with him.

"Was this a kind of magical trust?"

Yuna did not ask further. She just pulled him up and said, "Let's go play games."

Emily was a complete game addict. As soon as he heard that, he instantly perked up, took Yuna's hand and ran downstairs to do battle with her in the gaming world.

At noon, when lunch was just ready, Rowdy came back from outside.

If Emily remembered correctly, Rowdy had said before he went out that he would come back with the doctor.

He looked behind Rowdy and did not see the doctor. "Eh?" he asked curiously, "Daddy, where's the doctor you invited for Auntie Yuna?"

"I finished my work and came back early. I didn't wait for the doctor." Rowdy looked at the time and continued, "The doctor's plane will land in ten minutes. Uncle Kim will bring the doctor here. Let's have lunch first. The doctor will arrive when we finish our lunch."

"Oh yeah!" Emily put down the computer and pulled Yuna up excitedly. "Let's have lunch, and then you have to see the doctor. I will be with you!"

The little boy was happier than when he received his favorite toy. Yuna could not bear to let him down, so she followed him to the dining room.

When she picked up the chopsticks, Yuna had a bad feeling.

For some unknown reason, she had a feeling that the doctor from Switzerland would not be able to walk out of the airport smoothly today.

Someone was silently pushing and changing this matter behind the scenes.

"Yuna," Rowdy pushed a bowl of soup to Yuna and said, "Don't think too much. Drink some soup."

Yuna came to her senses and said, "OK, thank you."

After lunch, Rowdy took out his mobile phone. He probably wanted to contact Kim and ask about the doctor.

However, before he could make a call, his cell phone rang and Kim's name was displayed on the screen.

Rowdy frowned, answered the phone and asked directly, "What's wrong?"

"Brother Rowdy, something's wrong!" Kim's anxious voice came, "When Dr. David got off the plane, he was taken away by the police and the Bureau of Epidemic Prevention!"

"Why did the police and the Bureau of Epidemic Prevention target David, who had just entered the country for the first time?"

Rowdy's face darkened, and he roared, "Say it again!"

Kim took a deep breath and plucked up his courage to say, "When Dr. David got off the plane, the personnel from the Bureau of Epidemic Prevention arrived and said that they suspected that Dr. David was carrying some kind of infectious virus and needed to take him away for questioning."
