After a moment, Yuna and Rowdy returned to the room.
Emily ran over with uncertainty and expectation on his little face. "Daddy, Auntie Yuna, have you come to an agreement?" he asked.
Yuna motioned for Rowdy to tell the little guy as she was not so articulate in such matters.
"Yes, we have," answered Rowdy.
"Then what's your decision?" Emily blinked and waited expectantly.
"We decided to take Auntie Yuna to the hospital a few days later." Rowdy paused and deliberately asked the little guy, "So what do you think?"
"Auntie Yuna is always right!" Emily said seriously. Apparently, he obeyed Yuna unconditionally.
Rowdy was speechless.
He didn't know if it was good or bad that Emily was so obedient toward Yuna.
A short while later, Kim came over and asked, "Brother Rowdy, if you have picked the hospital for Miss Wallace, do you need me to make some investigations first to ensure her safety?"
It seemed that Kim was really caring about Yuna and did not have any other dire purpose in mind.
Naturally, Rowdy did not have any doubts. He handed Kim a note and ordered, "Go and check out these doctors. Make sure they are dependable."
"Okay." Kim nodded. "I'll do it right away."
Kim was about to leave when he suddenly thought of something and asked, "Brother Rowdy, can you tell me which hospital do these doctors work at? It will be much faster and easier if I know beforehand."
"The Eighth People's Hospital. They are all neuro doctors," Rowdy said directly, "I have done some research and their Neurology Department is the best in Arlington besides the private hospital of Lambert Group."
"Yeah, you made the right choice," Kim said. He looked at the time. "It's getting late. I'll leave now and I'll let you know as soon as I get their information."
"Go," Rowdy waved his hand and replied.
Kim glanced discreetly at Yuna before he left. No one noticed his gaze or knew what he was thinking.
After driving for a while, he stopped and quickly assembled another mobile phone quickly. He sent a text message to Wesley, telling him that Rowdy had chosen the Eighth Hospital.
He dismantled the phone at the same speed after the text was sent successfully and then restarted the car.
In the living room at the Kent family house.
As Rowdy and Yuna were no longer arguing about the doctor thing, the atmosphere in the room eased up a lot.
Yuna said brightly, "I'm hungry. Let's eat breakfast."
"Okay!" Emily was the first to respond. He flew to the dining room and saw the seafood porridge that he loved most. "Auntie Yuna, daddy, come here quickly!" he couldn't help exclaiming.
Rowdy smiled. He looked at Yuna and held her hand as they walked to the dining room.
Yuna glanced at Rowdy's hand and a strange feeling rose from the bottom of her heart.
She had heard that when people were really happy, they would, subconsciously, look at the person they loved or hold his/her hand tightly because they wanted to share their joy with that person.
"So, did Rowdy really love her?"
If he did, she thought it would be quite ridiculous...
After breakfast, Rowdy went out to work. Yuna and Emily began to play games again.
In the afternoon, Emily felt sleepy and wanted to take a nap, so Yuna took him back to the bedroom.
After coaxing him to sleep, Yuna sneaked into Rowdy's study again while no one was looking.
If Wesley really discovered everything she had hidden and was helping her secretly, she didn't have much to worry about.
She could take the files she copied a few days ago to the hospital and find an opportunity to ask the doctor to hand them to Wesley.
If Wesley was helping her, he must have reached an agreement with the doctor whom she could totally rely on.
However, the files alone were not enough evidence to implicate Rowdy to the extent that he would be charged with the death penalty.
She needed more evidence.
Yuna searched thoroughly in the study. She was so intent on her search that she didn't even notice Rowdy had returned home with Kim following him.
Rowdy knew Yuna and Emily's routine very well: they usually played games in the living room at this time.
But today, they were not there.
Rowdy stopped a servant and asked, "Where is Miss Wallace and Emily?"
"They were playing games just now." The servant thought for a few seconds and continued, "But Emily said he was sleepy, so Miss Wallace should have taken him to have his nap."
"Okay," said Rowdy with his eyes lowered. Then he went upstairs without saying anything more.
Judging from the direction he went, he should be headed for the study.
Kim suddenly had a bad feeling when he thought of something.
In an instant, Kim decided to race up from another stairway that led to Yuna's room directly.
In order not to be noticed by Rowdy, Kim decided to push the door open directly without knocking.
When his hand was still on the handle, Emily opened the door from the inside.
Yuna was not there!
Kim pressed Emily's shoulder and asked in a worried voice, "Emily, where is Auntie Yuna? Is she in the room?"
Emily shook his head and said while yawning, "I don't know. I haven't seen her since I woke up."
Kim fervently wished that Yuna was in the room.
However, what Emily said made him feel as if someone had poured a bucket of ice water over him, which made him freeze from head to toe.
The most possible place Yuna could be at was the study if she was not in the bedroom.
Rowdy was already walking toward the study. How could Yuna make it out?
How could he help Yuna?
Kim was right. Yuna was in the study.
She searched carefully around without finding anything useful. Finally, she fixed her eyes on the bookshelf-
"Were there any useful information hidden in it?"
Yuna scanned the bookshelf and her eyes rested on an old disk box. She took it out and found a CD game inside.
"Was this what Rowdy used to play when he was young?"
But to be honest, he didn't look like a man who liked playing games.
While Yuna was thinking, she heard the door opening.
"Was Rowdy back?"
Yuna felt a chill run down her spine. She looked back and saw Rowdy standing outside the study with a sullen look.
What terrible luck!
"Didn't Rowdy always stay out late? Why did he come back so early today?"
Yuna calmly took a deep breath and looked at Rowdy as if nothing had happened. She scrutinized his expression as if she didn't know why he was unhappy.
She knew, of course.
Rowdy's study held all his secrets. No one could enter this room without his permission, even for those who were close enough to him, like herself and Milo.
But she was here, with something in her hand at such a sensitive time. No wonder Rowdy was irritated.
Fortunately, she was just holding a game disk. She could cover up her real purpose with a reasonable excuse.
If it had been an important document, it would not be a good ending for her.
She looked at Rowdy calmly and asked, without putting down the disk, "Why are you back so early today?"
Rowdy kicked the door open and strode in in a grave look. "Yuna, why are you here?" he questioned her.
Yuna, as if she just noticed Rowdy was very angry, put down the disk and apologized, "Sorry, I came in without your permission."
She was not flustered at all as if it was just a common situation.
Things were not at their worst yet. She could still disguise her nervousness. At this time, if she started panicking, her secret would be disclosed.
Rowdy ignored Yuna's apology. He looked as if he could kill someone in the next second. "Answer me! What are you doing here!" he roared.
Yuna took a deep breath and kept stepping back. She seemed to be frightened by Rowdy, yet she was not too overwhelmed by his anger.
She couldn't show any signs of panic.
At this time, any sign of guilt would arouse Rowdy's suspicions!
"I..."
While Yuna was thinking up of an excuse, Emily bounded in like a little kangaroo and asked, "Auntie Yuna, have you found it?"
Yuna did not react. She looked at the little guy, her brain working quickly as she pondered over his words.
Emily skipped in and took the disk. "Wow, you found it. You're great!" he shouted.
The little guy looked happy and excited, but Yuna remembered very clearly that he was still sleeping before she left the room. He didn't ask her to find anything.
Although she did not know what was actually going on, Yuna thought it was a good opportunity to deceive Rowdy.
She nodded and said, "Yeah, I just found it."
"Then why are you still here?" Emily pulled Yuna with all his strength. "Quick! Let's play downstairs!"
Yuna didn't move but looked at Rowdy.
Seeming to just notice Rowdy, Emily tilted his head and looked at him with a strange expression. "Daddy, why did you come back so early?" he asked.
Rowdy didn't relax at all. He looked at Emily sulkily and asked, "What do you mean? Did you ask Auntie Yuna to look for something here?"
"Yes, I wanted to play other games, so I asked Auntie Yuna to look upstairs." Emily blinked and looked afraid and innocent. "Daddy, are you angry?"
Rowdy did not respond. His face darkened and he was probably doubting Emily's words.
Emily walked over to hug Rowdy and rubbed his head against his leg. "Daddy, don't be mad at Auntie Yuna. She didn't come in here on purpose..."
Rowdy looked at Yuna and said, "Why didn't you tell me Emily asked you to come in?"
