Chapter 1013 I Like You So Much

"Auntie Yuna, what were you looking for in Daddy's study?"

Yuna froze and didn't know how to answer Emily's question.

"Should she tell him frankly that she sneaked in to find evidence of Rowdy's crimes so that she could send Rowdy to prison and bring him to justice?"

No matter whether Rowdy was a good father, Emily loved him.

"If she told him the truth, he would regret helping her, wouldn't he?"

However, she could not conceal it forever.

When Emily grew up, he would know that she came back this time to seek revenge.

He would eventually regret having treated her so well.

Thinking of this, Yuna had mixed feelings and subconsciously loosened her hold.

Emily noticed Yuna's hesitancy and freed himself from her arms. "Auntie Yuna, you don't have to answer my question. I'm happy that you're fine," he said.

Yuna's eyes reddened even more. She closed her eyes to hold back her tears and it was only after a long while that she could finally open her eyes. She looked at Emily and said, "Emily, I'm sorry."

Emily pursed his small lips and reached out to hug Yuna. He said in a low, sobbing voice, "Auntie Yuna, you have to protect yourself and don't let yourself be discovered by Daddy."

He had already guessed that Auntie Yuna into Daddy's study to find something that Daddy didn't want anyone to find out.

However, Auntie Yuna still went in.

Compared with Rowdy's secrets being exposed, Emily was more worried that Yuna would be discovered.

Although Emily rarely lived with Rowdy, he understood the killing trait of Rowdy's character.

No matter what Yuna was looking for, he didn't want her to be discovered, because once she was, she would be in danger.

Emily hoped that Yuna could live well, even if they would never meet again after she left this time.

Yuna's mind was full of Emily's statement "don't be discovered by Daddy," and she almost cried. In the end, she tried her best to stop herself from crying and said, "Okay, I promise you."

Emily released Yuna and looked at her seriously. "Uncle Kim and I will help you to leave this place. Auntie Yuna, go back and find Uncle Hayes."

Yes, Emily knew-for Yuna, the only safe place to be was with Wesley.

In the end, Yuna couldn't help bursting into tears.

Emily wiped away Yuna's tears and pursed his lips with a smile. "Auntie Yuna, I'll miss you."

Yuna held the little guy in her arms, and her heart melted.

For a moment, she didn't want to leave. If she had to leave, she wanted to take Emily with her.

She couldn't let go of Emily. She wanted to see this little guy grow up and have his own life.

However, the current situation did not allow her to have so many choices.

If she wanted to protect her child and survive, she could only let go of Emily and leave the Kent family.

She was destined to be indebted to Emily forever.

Emily reached out and gently wiped away Yuna's tears. "Auntie Yuna, don't cry. If Daddy suddenly comes back, he will think that I bullied you. I don't want to admit that I bullied you. I like you so much!"

Yuna couldn't help laughing and nodded. "Okay. I won't cry."

"Take me to have a shower!" Emily's lovely smile returned to his face in a second, and he looked as innocent as usual. "I want to go to bed early! Uncle Kim said that children who go to bed early will grow up quickly!"

Yuna took the little fellow to the bathroom and asked, "Do you believe in Uncle Kim?"

"I do!" Emily pushed open the bathroom door and looked at Yuna innocently. "Uncle Kim won't lie to me!"

Yuna didn't speak, but sighed in her heart-

She didn't know if it was a good thing that the little guy was so naive.

She only hoped that Emily would never be hurt.

After the shower, Yuna and the little fellow both calmed down.

Emily drank the milk obediently and soon fell asleep.

After experiencing the near-scare, Yuna had no energy to deal with anything. Not long after she lay down, she fell asleep as well.

Before falling asleep, Yuna thought that if there was a chance, she should talk with Kim.

If Kim was really on Wesley's side, with Kim's help, she might be able to escape from the Kent family house.

Yuna didn't expect that at breakfast the next day, there was no sign of Kim in the house.

Halfway through her meal, she pretended to ask casually, "Where's Kim?"

She was not afraid of arousing Rowdy's suspicions. During this period, Kim had always been with them during breakfast.

Kim had suddenly disappeared today. It would not be strange for her to ask about him.

Rowdy said while eating, "I have some affairs to deal with in Canada, so I sent Kim there. What? Do you need him for anything?"

"No. I'm just curious about why he isn't here today." Yuna quickly diverted her attention to something else. "Today's porridge is very delicious. Emily, what do you think?"

"Yes!" Emily nodded and gave Yuna an approving smile. "I like it too!"

Yuna smiled and gave Emily a high five as if she didn't recall that she had mentioned Kim and in the blink of an eye, she had forgotten about Kim being sent abroad.

Seeing that Yuna's attention had been diverted, Rowdy didn't say anything more and left after breakfast.

In fact, it was not so easy for Rowdy to ignore Yuna's actions.

As soon as he got in the car, Rowdy ordered Milo, "Pay attention to Yuna during this period of time."

Milo didn't understand and asked blankly, "Brother Rowdy, is there anything wrong with... Miss Wallace?"

Rowdy remembered when Yuna was in the study yesterday afternoon.

When he found out, Yuna didn't look guilty or panic at all. Later, Emily suddenly appeared and after he checked the surveillance video, Yuna was no longer under suspicion.

However, this couldn't dispel his suspicions.

If he hadn't come back, who could guarantee that Yuna wouldn't have rummaged through his study?

"I'm not sure yet." Rowdy's eyes darkened. "But you can't be too careful."

Milo nodded and said, "I see. I will pay attention to it." Then he started the car.

After the car drove out of the city, Rowdy continued, "Also, if you have time, carefully filter the surveillance footage of yesterday afternoon to see if there is anything wrong."

The Kent family was heavily guarded, and there had never been any mistakes. Rowdy had never checked the surveillance footage.

But this time, he asked Milo to filter out the surveillance footage from yesterday.

"Could it be that there was something wrong within the Kent family?"

Thinking of Rowdy's order to pay attention to Yuna, Milo soon thought of something. He shivered inside and replied seriously, "I see!"

Rowdy didn't say anything, and his eyes became gloomy.

Should he find out that Yuna was up to something, he swore that from today on, it would be the countdown to Yuna's death.

In the old house, Yuna didn't lower her guard either.

After Rowdy left, Yuna handed Emily to one of his men, locked herself in the room, and sorted out everything.

Kim was working for Wesley. He had helped her several times at the most critical moments, which showed that... Wesley really knew what she was hiding.

Besides, Kim worked for Wesley, so it was not difficult to understand why he seemed to hate her so much before.

Kim probably thought that she had killed an innocent baby as Wesley did.

If that was the case, she thought she knew when Wesley had discovered the truth.

It was probably when Kim's attitude toward her had suddenly taken a turn for the better.

Although she couldn't be sure how Wesley knew the truth, at least, she was no longer alone and helpless.

However, even so, her situation was not optimistic at all.

The reason why she was able to escape yesterday was that Kim had helped her modify the surveillance footage.

However, according to Rowdy's skeptical nature, he would not believe everything so easily. Next, he would pay attention to her actions.

That was to say, she couldn't take any action from now on.

Otherwise, once Rowdy found something wrong, she would be dead meat.

In addition, if she guessed correctly, Rowdy would ask someone to filter out the surveillance video, and that person would likely be the meticulous Milo.

Milo was good at it. If he paid attention, he would soon find that there was something wrong with the video, and Rowdy would immediately know that she was guilty.

Most importantly, Kim had been transferred overseas and there was no way for him to help her.

She only had two choices. She could either find a way to erase the traces of the video being tampered with or escape before Milo found something abnormal.

However, each of them was a challenge for her.

Even if she survived this ordeal, she didn't know if she could escape from the deadly disease.

Her fate was still full of unknowns.

Yuna took a deep breath, calmed down, and went downstairs to find Emily.

The little fellow stood at the door of the vegetable shed with his hands clasped in front of his chest. He closed his eyes devoutly and mouthed something silently. No one knew what he was saying.

Yuna walked over, and Emily happened to open his eyes.

She smiled and asked, "What are you doing?"

"I'm praying!" Emily looked up at the sky and said, "I hope that the next time you encounter danger, the angels will help you."

Emily still believed in fairy tales and he also believed in the existence of angels.

Yuna smiled and stroked the little fellow's head. "I don't need an angel. You are my little angel."

"Well!" The little fellow pulled Yuna into the vegetable shed and asked in a low voice, "Auntie Yuna, is Uncle Hayes still at the top of the mountain? I want to find him and ask him to pick you up."

Yuna was stunned and shook her head. "He should not be at the top of the mountain now."

Emily blinked and asked, "Then where can I find Uncle Hayes?"

Yuna thought for a moment, told Emily the address of Prime Villas, and said, "This is the address of Auntie Joanne's house. If you go there, even if you can't find Uncle Hayes, you'll definitely find Auntie Joanne. But, you can't run around. If your daddy found out that you went to Auntie Joanne's house, you wouldn't be able to explain it, understand?"

Emily silently memorized the address of Prime Villas and nodded. "I know!"
