Chapter 1037 Rowdy's Suspicion (1)

When Brian was arguing with Joanne at Prime Villas, Yuna and Emily had just woken up from their sleep in the old city area.

Probably because of the approaching festival, the weather had been nice recently. In the past few days, the sky in Arlington had been so blue that people couldn't help having positive fantasies.

Emily, who had always been obedient, couldn't help asking willfully, "Auntie Yuna, I want to go and play in the park, is that okay?"

There was a public garden in the old city area. It was not very big, but it was well managed by the residents of the old city area. There were blooming flowers and flourishing greenery all year round. It was a good place for the residents of the old city area to take walks and get together.

Emily had gone there once and happened to see a big gathering of the residents from the old city area.

The elderly liked to play with Emily. Some children, especially little girls, were very willing to share their snacks with him.

The little boy probably felt the friendship and warmth in the park, so he had a very good impression of the park.

But he seemed to understand that his identity was special. He had never asked to go and play in the park. Today was the only exception.

Yuna's heart softened and she could not refuse the little boy at all.

However, Rowdy had the final say, but his heart... might not be softened.

What was worse, Yuna had to listen to Rowdy now.

Yuna thought for a moment, squatted down, looked at the little boy and said, "I'll take you to ask your daddy, okay?"

Emily saw the look of embarrassment in Yuna's eyes, so he did not pester her. Instead, he nodded obediently and said, "Okay, let's go!"

Rowdy had just woken up, and was practicing boxing in the underground gym.

Yes, there was a semi-underground room in the old house. Only half of the room was above the ground.

Half of the wall above the ground was filled with a window that reached up to the ceiling, creating good ventilation and lighting for the room.

Rowdy liked to practice boxing with human opponents. Yuna had also acted as one of his opponents before, and his attacks and strength were too much for her. After fighting once, she solemnly declared that she would never be his training partner anymore.

It turned out that Yuna had made a very wise decision.

Now, even if Milo was Rowdy's training partner, it was obvious that he could not stand Rowdy's attacks. Rowdy's every move would force him to retreat.

Finally, Rowdy's hook hit Milo's chin and knocked him down.

Milo had already gotten a black eye. After Rowdy's hook, blood also oozed out of the corner of his mouth and dyed his white clothing red, which looked a little shocking.

Emily had never seen such a bloody scene. He covered his mouth and exclaimed, "Uncle Milo!!"

Only then did Milo notice Emily. He forced a smile at Emily, braced his hands against the ring to get up, shook his head, and said, "Emily, I'm fine."

Emily did not believe Milo's words at all. He looked at Yuna anxiously and kept stamping his foot, trying to get Yuna to stop Rowdy and Milo.

Yuna knew well that she could not stop the two hot-blooded and competitive men on her own.

She thought for a moment and squatted down to look at Emily. "Daddy and Uncle Milo are men. This is a competition between them. Once the competition between men starts, it can't be stopped unless the winner is decided. Emily, do you understand what I mean?"

Emily was stunned. After thinking for a while, he nodded and said, "Auntie Yuna, do you mean that they will stop when either of them wins?"

"Yeah, Emily is great!" Yuna gave the little boy an appreciative look. "That's what I meant!"

The little boy was obviously being praised, but he was not happy at all. His bright eyes were full of worry. "But what if they get injured?"

Yuna patted Emily on the shoulder and said, "Don't worry. We have doctors."

Emily blinked in confusion. At this time, Milo was knocked down again. After more than ten seconds, he got up and made a "stop" gesture to Rowdy.

Emily could not help jumping and shouting, "Daddy, Daddy, Uncle Milo wants to stop fighting! You can't hurt him anymore!"

Rowdy wiped the sweat off his body, threw the towel aside casually, came over and said, "This is a boxing competition. I'm not hurting him. Do you understand?"

Emily blinked and grabbed Yuna's hand. He leaned against Yuna while rebutting Rowdy's words. "But I clearly saw you hurting him!"

He was afraid of Rowdy, but he had to rebut his words.

Rowdy frowned, and Yuna saw a trace of anger gathering between his eyebrows.

Rowdy was used to being flattered. He probably could not stand a five-year-old child's rebuttal.

Yuna suddenly felt that if things went on like that, maybe such a small thing would turn into a big deal.

She pulled Emily over to her decisively and whispered in the little boy's ear, "Didn't I say that this was a competition between Daddy and Uncle Milo. Uncle Milo is not hurt, but 'wounded in the competition', so Daddy didn't hurt anyone. Do you understand?"

Emily rested his chin on his hand and looked at Yuna for a while. He reluctantly accepted her explanation and nodded. "I understand."

Yuna breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Rowdy with a little pride in her eyes.

She could not wait to tell Rowdy instantly that children might be able to accept some things if those things were told to them in a different manner.

Of course, she would not say it out in front of Emily.

Yuna gently shook Emily's hand and said, "Don't you have something to say to your daddy? He's not busy now, so you can tell him."

Only then did Emily think of this matter. He looked at Rowdy with caution and expectation in his eyes. "Daddy, I want to play in the park, is that okay?"

Milo looked up at the ceiling to floor window and smiled. "It's a nice day today for strolling in the park."

He admitted that he said this to help Emily.

Apart from his wife and newborn daughter, Emily was probably the only person in the world who cared about him.

Anyway, he should help this little boy.

Rowdy glanced at Milo with a look of warning and displeasure in his eyes. Obviously, he was dissatisfied with Milo for trying to help Emily, so Milo had to look away.

Yuna coughed and said to Rowdy, "Emily is the one who wants to go to the park. Even if you want to glare at Milo, you should answer Emily's question first."

Rowdy looked at Emily and saw the little boy's expectant eyes. In the end, he said, "I'll go with you."

Emily could not believe that Rowdy agreed so easily and was even prepared to go with them!

The little boy's eyes widened and he then looked at Yuna in disbelief.

Yuna was not surprised. Rowdy was willing to go with them because he did not feel easy about their going out alone.

Of course, there was no need to tell Emily about this.

Yuna touched the little boy's head and said, "Let's have breakfast. And then, we'll go to the park."

"Daddy!" Emily ignored the sweat on Rowdy's body and rushed over to hug him. "I love you so much!"

Although Rowdy was a cold-blooded person, he could not help smiling slightly in the face of Emily's childish voice.

He looked at the little boy and said in a rare gentle voice, "You and Auntie Yuna go to the dining room first. I'll meet you after taking a shower."

Milo was going home, so he went out with Emily and Yuna.

Back on the first floor, Milo suddenly said, "Miss Xu, I wonder if you know that Brother Rowdy agreed not only for Emily's sake, but also for you."

Milo thought that if Emily had been the only person who wanted to go to the park, Rowdy would not have agreed so quickly.

After all, it was not safe for Emily and Yuna to stay outside the Kent family home.

However, recently, Yuna had been depressed because of her illness. Only when she mentioned the park did her eyes light up.

Rowdy probably wanted Yuna to bask in the sun.

Milo said it deliberately, for fear that Yuna did not know Rowdy's intention.

Yuna smiled and said, "Milo, I know. But, according to Brother Rowdy's character... we'd better not talk about it publicly."

"I understand." Milo waved at Emily. "Thank you for what you did just now. I'm leaving."

Emily was in a good mood now, and his smile became sweeter. He waved at Milo and said, "Goodbye, Uncle Milo."

After breakfast, Emily directly took Yuna and Rowdy to the park in the old city area.

It was a nice day today, and there were many old and young people basking in the sun. All of them came here with young children and the small park looked very lively.

Someone recognized Yuna and Emily and greeted them warmly. "Miss Xu, is he your child's father? He's so good-looking. No wonder he could father such a good-looking child like Emily!" After a pause, the old lady continued, "But he looks so serious."

Since Rowdy's birth, no one had ever dared to talk about him like this in his presence.

If this old lady knew who he was, she must have a death wish!

Rowdy's face darkened slightly, and he had a cold and murderous look.

Unfortunately, it was winter now, and the outdoor park was cold. So, the old lady could not feel the threat from him, and just felt that he looked more serious.

The old lady smiled at Rowdy and said, "Young man, at my age, you will understand that many things are destined. So, no matter whether anything good or bad happened yesterday, smiling today is the most important thing!"

Rowdy did not listen to the old lady's words at all, and his face suddenly darkened.

Yuna saw that Rowdy was about to get angry, so she quickly stood by his side and poked him with her hand, indicating that he should calm down.

In front of his subordinates, it did not matter how angry Rowdy was.

However, if he lost his temper here, it would scare the old people and children. Also, she did not want Emily to see the bloodthirsty side of his daddy.

She had to stop Rowdy.
