Chapter 1041 It's Getting Worse (1)

Being in such close proximity to Rowdy and inhaling his scent, Yuna stiffened and had a sudden aversion toward him.

However, in front of Rowdy, she could only suppress the disgust she felt, meet his eyes, and pretend to welcome his embrace.

Of course, she was not looking forward to Rowdy's touch, nor could she accept it.

But now, Rowdy could definitely see all her reactions, so she had to pretend.

If Rowdy really intended to kiss her, she would resort to her ultimate method!

Since Yuna returned to the Kent family, Rowdy had been eager to get close to her, but Yuna had cooked up plenty of excuses to refuse his advances. Later, Yuna fell ill, so he could hang on to his fantasies first.

That was also the reason why he could not really trust Yuna.

He was not a young man in his early twenties. He knew very well that if a woman really wanted to stay with him, she would never refuse his advances.

In addition, he knew Yuna very well. He knew that she would never allow anyone she hated to get close to her, let alone have any intimate contact with her.

Although Yuna never resisted him, he had never really approached her.

How could he completely believe Yuna under such circumstances?

This was the closest Rowdy had been to Yuna.

He swore that he would never let Yuna go again.

Yuna was aware of Rowdy's intention. She closed her eyes and pretended to be looking forward to it, but in fact, she was silently counting down from five.

Rowdy did not notice Yuna's suppressed emotions at all. He even thought that she was really looking forward to his touch.

He raised his other hand and stroked Yuna's cheek. He gazed at her, and was not in a hurry to kiss her.

He seemed to be a hunter who had been eyeing his prey for a long time but was not in a hurry to enjoy it after catching it.

He enjoyed watching the prey's every move after he captured it, which was more pleasant than eating it.

Yuna could feel the heat radiating from Rowdy's palms. At this moment, she was just counting down to one.

After saying the word "one" in her heart, Yuna fell to the ground as if she had lost all her strength.

She had her eyes closed all the time. Rowdy only saw her suddenly fall to the ground. He was stunned for a second and then realized that she had fainted. He exclaimed, "Yuna!"

Yuna could hear Rowdy's voice, but she had to pretend that she could not hear anything so that it would appear like a realistic comedy.

Rowdy suddenly panicked. Regardless of Yuna's facial expression, he subconsciously caught her and called again, "Yuna!"

"..." Yuna did not respond.

Rowdy did not waste any more time. He directly picked Yuna up, rushed out of the study, and walked toward her bedroom.

Before Yuna could celebrate her successful performance, she suddenly felt that something was very wrong.

She just wanted to fake a fainting spell to avoid Rowdy's intimate contact.

However, after she was picked up by Rowdy, a wave of dizziness really overcame her whole being.

The next second, Yuna began to lose consciousness.

Alas, she really wanted to put on a good show in order to pretend that she had fainted.

But now, it was becoming a reality. She did not mean to really faint!

Emily was playing alone downstairs and soon got bored. He hopped upstairs to find Yuna, only to see Rowdy coming out of the study with Yuna in his arms.

The little boy was stunned for a moment and then quickly reacted. He called out, "Auntie Yuna!"

""

Yuna still did not respond.

Emily followed Rowdy to the room and asked, "Daddy, what's wrong with Auntie Yuna? Is she feeling unwell?"

Rowdy did not have time to answer the little boy's question. He said, "Go find Uncle Milo and ask him to call the doctor over for Aunt Yuna!"

"Okay!"

Emily stopped pestering Rowdy. He turned around, ran downstairs, and said to Milo directly, "Auntie Yuna is not feeling well. Uncle Milo, please help her find a doctor!"

Milo was stunned for a moment before he realized what was going on. He took out his phone, dialed William's number and ordered him to come over immediately.

Emily was worried about Yuna, so he did not stay downstairs. He quickly turned around, went upstairs, and ran straight into Yuna's room.

Rowdy had already set Yuna down on the bed.

On the surface, Yuna looked like her usual self. Tucked under the quilt, she seemed to be asleep. Her breathing was even and steady, and she seemed to be in a peaceful state.

But her pale face betrayed her condition.

Emily walked to the bedside and looked worriedly at Yuna. After a while, he turned to Rowdy and asked, "Daddy, didn't Auntie Yuna already see the doctor? Why did she faint again?"

Rowdy said in a hoarse voice, "Emily, Auntie Yuna saw the doctor, but she hasn't completely recovered. When the doctor cures her, she won't be like this. You still have to wait patiently."

Emily blinked as if he did not fully understand, and his eyes gradually darkened. He did not ask when Yuna would recover.

He knew that no one in this world knew the answer to this question.

He could not help Yuna.

The only thing he could do was to accompany Yuna to face the sickness she had.

Emily sat down and looked solemnly at Yuna, who was in a coma. After a while, he suddenly reached out and touched Yuna's face. "Auntie Yuna, if you are tired, you can have a good rest. I will always be with you, as I promised you. I will definitely do it!"

Rowdy looked at Emily and wanted to say something comforting to pacify the little boy, only to see that the worry on Emily's face had somehow faded away.

The little boy was probably very clear about Yuna's current situation. Any words of comfort would not be of any help to him right now.

Rowdy did not say anything in the end. He went to the balcony outside and smoked, while waiting for William to come over.

William rushed to the old house of the Kent family as soon as he received the call from Milo. It took him less than 30 minutes to arrive, so he must have driven over at breakneck speed.

William had to emphasize that when he treated Yuna, he completely regarded her as Wesley's woman.

If she were Rowdy's woman, he would not have put in so much effort.

As soon as Milo saw William, he immediately took the latter upstairs and entered Yuna's room.

Yuna was still in a coma, and her face became increasingly pale. If it weren't for her faint breathing, William would have thought that Yuna had no vital signs.

"Doctor." Emily looked at William with pleading eyes. "Can you find a way to help Auntie Yuna?"

William's heart softened, and he touched Emily's head. "Don't worry, little boy. I will."

"Emily." Rowdy pulled Emily over. "Don't hinder the doctor from treating Auntie Yuna."

"Oh!"

Emily obediently followed Rowdy to get out of the way, all the while gazing at Yuna and never letting go of Rowdy's hand.

He was still young. No matter how calm he looked, he could not hide the worry and uneasiness in his heart.

William quickly finished some basic checks for Yuna and finally decided to give her an IV drip.

He neatly inserted the thin needle into Yuna's vein. The cold medicinal liquid quickly flowed along the infusion tube into Yuna's blood system.

Emily came over and looked up at William. "Doctor, will Auntie Yuna recover after the drip is done?"

William had an apologetic expression, squatted down, looked at Emily, and said, "This solution can only help Miss Xu regain her physical strength, but it can't relieve her illness. However, I will find a way to cure her. Trust me, okay?"

It was related to Yuna's life, so Emily was much more cautious. He looked at William uncertainly and asked, "Doctor, can I trust you?"

William could not help laughing. "Of course, I'm an excellent brain surgeon!"

"Well... Okay, I trust you." As Emily spoke, he reached out and asked William to make a pinky swear with him. "You have to promise me!"

William cooperatively hooked the little boy's little finger and pressed his thumb against Emily's. "I promise that I will find a way to cure Miss Xu."

He was serious.

He had promised Wesley and Brian that he would try his best to cure Yuna. It was not a big deal to make a promise with the little boy now.

Anyway, if he could not cure Yuna, even if Emily would let him go, Wesley would not let him off so easily.

"Doctor," Rowdy called William, "If you are done, come with me. I have something to ask you."

William nodded and followed Rowdy to the living room downstairs.

Rowdy asked directly, "How sure are you about curing Yuna's illness?"

William was also very straightforward. He looked at Rowdy and said, "I'm not very sure, but I'll try my best."

This was not the answer Rowdy wanted.

But he knew that no matter which doctor he invited, no one dared to tell him with certainty that Yuna would be cured.

Yuna's situation was much worse than everyone had imagined.

Rowdy did not say anything more. He called Milo over and said, "Send the doctor out."

After William left, Rowdy smoked a cigarette before pushing the door of Yuna's room open and walking in.

Emily smelled the smoke from Rowdy and looked at him. "Daddy, what's wrong with you?"

"Nothing." Rowdy rarely talked to Emily in a soft tone. "I'm going out for a while. Can you accompany Auntie Yuna?"

Emily nodded and said seriously, "Don't worry. I'll always be with Auntie Yuna."

After Rowdy left the room, Emily sat down by the bed again. He just stayed with Yuna and did not feel bored.

In less than half an hour, Yuna woke up and saw the drip bottle above her bedside. Emily was sitting by the bed, cupping his face in both hands and looking at her. He was frowning, as if he was very worried about her.

Yuna struggled to sit up. Looking at the needle in her hand, she frowned like Emily and was about to pull it out.
