Chapter 1042 It's Getting Worse (2)

"Wait a minute!" Emily nimbly rushed over, restrained Yuna's hand, and looked at her in confusion. "Auntie Yuna, what are you trying to do?"

Yuna looked at the needle in her hand and said, "It's useless and troublesome. I want to pull it out."

"No!" Emily shook his head and gripped Yuna's hand in a firm hold. He gazed at her seriously and said, "Doctor said that it can help you restore your strength! You are sick now, so you must listen to the doctor!"

More than a year ago, Emily contracted pneumonia, and Yuna found time to visit him in America.

Overcome by the pneumonia, Emily threw a tantrum. He shouted and refused the treatment, injections and medicine, and created a general ruckus in the children's ward.

Yuna tried to reason with him, but the little boy covered his ears, unwilling to listen at all.

In the end, Yuna could only coax him in a gentle voice. "Emily, you are a sick child now. You must listen to the doctor and receive the treatment, so you will recover. Do you understand what I am saying?"

The little boy did not fully understand but nodded, and then obediently allowed himself to be treated by the doctor. In a few days, he recovered and left the hospital.

Unexpectedly, Emily not only remembered her words, but also used them on her later.

As the old saying went, "Every dog has its day."

Yuna had to stick to what she said, even if she was unwilling to.

She had no choice but to lie down, nodded, and said resignedly, "Okay, I won't remove the infusion until I regain my physical strength."

Emily climbed onto the bed and gave her an angelic smile. He kissed Yuna suddenly and praised her. "Auntie Yuna is so great."

"..." Yuna tried her best to hold back her laughter, but in the end, she failed. She burst out laughing.

In the past, every time Emily listened to her obediently, she would kiss the little boy and say, "Emily is so obedient." She would reward the little boy in word and deed.

She did not expect Emily to imitate her actions.

In addition, Yuna was greatly touched beyond words.

Her words and deeds had greatly encouraged Emily.

Now that she felt uncomfortable, Emily wanted to imitate the way she had encouraged him.

Yuna felt as if her heart had been placed at the heating air outlet, and the warmth had penetrated the deepest part of her heart.

After her parents passed away, Yuna only witnessed the indifference and ruthlessness of the world.

Because of Emily, she firmly believed that there was really warmth in the world.

Yuna touched Emily's head and promised the little boy, "You don't have to worry about me. I will cooperate with the doctor and try my best to recover. Trust me, okay?"

Emily nodded. "I trust you, just like I trust the doctor!"

Yuna smiled and did not say anything more.

Emily seemed to suddenly recall something. He urged Yuna to lie down and said, "Doctor said that you have to get more rest so that you can recover quickly! So, lie down now, and I will stay with you!"

Yuna pulled the quilt to cover herself and suddenly asked, "Emily, where's your daddy?"

If she remembered correctly, she and Rowdy had been in the study before she fainted.

She had thought that Rowdy just wanted to tell her something, but she did not expect that he suddenly wanted to kiss her while talking.

Rowdy was her enemy. Of course, she would not accept his kiss.

She had thought that when Rowdy wanted to kiss her, she could pretend to faint. Anyway, she was a patient, so it was natural for her to faint.

To her surprise, she really fainted.

After she fainted, Yuna completely lost consciousness and knew nothing about what happened later.

However, Emily should know what happened later and where Rowdy went.

"Daddy was here just now, but then he left." Emily thought for a moment and asked, "Auntie Yuna, are you looking for Daddy? We can call him!"

"No, I just want to know why he isn't here." Yuna paused and looked at the needle in her hand. "Who inserted the IV drip for me? Was it the doctor?"

Emily nodded vigorously and said, "It's the same doctor. He promised me that he would definitely find a way to cure you!"

Yuna touched Emily's head with a smile and said, "I see. Thank you."

She just felt that it was a pity.

William was an outsider, so he probably did not have many chances to enter the Kent family's old house unless something unexpected happened to her.

However, if something unexpected did happen to her, she would usually lose consciousness and could not communicate with William at all, let alone hand over the information she had collected to him.

If she did not hand over the information to William and ask him to bring it to Wesley, she would be in danger sooner or later.

What should she do?

After thinking about it, Yuna found that there was nothing she could do.

If Wesley knew that she was in a helpless situation, would he find a way?

At this time, William managed to locate Wesley.

Wesley was outside, helping Joanne prepare for Gavin's and Wendy's wedding.

Although he was no longer the person chiefly in charge of the wedding, he could still help Joanne deal with some small details.

As soon as he finished his work today, Wesley received a phone call from William, who asked to see him.

He made an appointment with William at a pool room.

This pool room only received a fixed number of customers, so it was not very lively. There were only a few people at the pool tables, all of whom were young couples. When they saw Wesley, they naturally greeted him.

Wesley responded politely and took William into a private room.

The private room was very large, equipped with good pool equipment. Warm sunlight shone through the window, making the room warm and bright.

William picked up a pool cue and shot a ball. Then he looked at Wesley and said, "Yuna fainted again."

William sounded like he was used to it, but Wesley was obviously not used to such bad news.

Wesley frowned deeply and asked in a cold tone, "What's going on? How is she now?"

"What's going on... I have to think about how to explain it to you." William thought for a moment, snapped his fingers, and said, "Let's call Yuna's fainting spell as a routine attack for the time being!"

""

Wesley thought gloomily, "If I really want to beat up William now, what should I call that?"

William saw that Wesley's expression was still as sullen as before. If anything, he looked gloomier. William quickly explained, "At present, the sudden onset of the illness does not hurt Yuna at all. It will only make her temporarily lose consciousness. However, her condition is worsening. She will have more recurring fainting spells in the future."

William took a deep breath and continued, "But don't worry. I've already sent the information about Yuna's illness to the top hospitals in America and Britain, and it's confidential. More doctors will join in the research about her condition. There will always be someone who can do it."

Wesley's expression finally looked a little better and he asked, "Did Yuna tell you anything when you were at the Kent family?"

"Sorry, my answer this time will really disappoint you." William shrugged helplessly. "When I arrived, Yuna had already fainted. She was still unconscious when I left. It seemed that Rowdy didn't want me to have contact with her, so he sent me away quickly. I did not manage to talk to her."

Wesley was not surprised. He thought for a moment and said, "Rowdy is still suspicious of Yuna. As an outsider with an unknown background, he certainly doesn't want you to have any contact with Yuna."

"The more he doesn't want to, the more I want to challenge it," William said, "In a few days, Yuna will be back to the hospital for a checkup. At that time, I may be able to 'have a conversation' with Yuna."

Wesley understood what William implied. He stared at the latter and emphasised clearly, "Remember, it's better that you get nothing than put Yuna in danger."

"Don't worry. I will put Yuna's safety first." William tutted and looked at Wesley discontentedly. "Do you have to remind me? Do I look like the kind of person who makes trouble for my friends?"

"No." Wesley first gave a pleasant answer, and then added, "But you would really make trouble for your friends."

""

William silently cursed in his heart and blacklisted Wesley in his mind.

Of course, his thoughts could not be seen by Wesley.

Otherwise, according to Wesley's crafty way of doing things, he might do something very crazy.

William coughed and asked tentatively, "Boss Hayes, how have you been recently?"

Wesley knew that William was asking about Gavin's and Wendy's wedding, and he said simply, "It's almost done."

William glanced at Wesley and asked teasingly, "You will be Gavin's best man, right? Tut-tut, this is the benefit of being unmarried! Look at President Lambert. He is married and will not have time to attend Gavin's wedding as long as his daughter cries, let alone to be a best man!"

"Get married?"

Wesley heard these two words, and his heart skipped a beat

After a long time, Wesley looked at William and said slowly, "I had planned to get married."

William froze for a moment before realizing that he had brought up a wrong topic.

He just remembered what Brian had told him: that Yuna had agreed to marry Wesley at the top of the mountain.

Most importantly, at that time, Yuna was sincere.

But later, Iris and Aunt Helen were kidnapped. In order to save the two old ladies, Yuna lied to Wesley, tried to return to the Kent family and put herself in danger.

If such a thing hadn't happened, Wesley could have gotten married...
