Chapter 1063 We Can Have Another Child

Brian led Joanne downstairs.

Joanne had to admit that what Brian did was... indeed different from what she had imagined.

"However, where was Brian going to take her to?"

Before Joanne could ask, Brian had already taken her to the garden outside.

The garden did not have any sound insulation and they could hear the sound of fireworks and firecrackers and had a bird's eye view of the fireworks.

Joanne looked up at the fireworks blooming one after another.

She did not really like fireworks, but the fleeting beauty brought back the best memories of her childhood.

Joanne remembered very clearly that the atmosphere of the Spring Festival was much more vibrant when she was still young.

With the approach of the Spring Festival each year, her mother would take her and Chris out and let them enjoy themselves by choosing their favorite fireworks in the store.

On the night of New Year's Eve, their mother would come out of the house and accompany them to set off fireworks. Or, they would see the fireworks set off by others and personally soak up the atmosphere of the New Year.

It was also for this reason that in Joanne's memory, fireworks were synonymous with beauty.

Unfortunately, this kind of beauty lasted for a very short time, just like their mother's time with her and Chris. Before she and Chris grew up, their mother had left the world and therefore missed many beautiful scenes.

After losing their mother, Chris continued his studies abroad, while Joanne stayed alone in the Scott Family and lived with Steven.

Every year, Chris would fly home and spend the Spring Festival with Joanne.

However, since the year they lost their mother, they reached a tacit agreement. They no longer bought or let off fireworks.

After so many years, whenever she saw fireworks, Joanne would think of her childhood days, as well as those gorgeous and beautiful moments in her life.

After watching the fireworks for a while, Joanne turned her head and looked at Brian. She asked in confusion, "Why did you take me out here?"

Brian pointed to the ground and motioned for Joanne to take a look.

Joanne looked in the direction that Brian pointed, and saw a few boxes piled up, which had pictures of fireworks painted on the boxes.

It was very evident that these were several boxes of fireworks.

Joanne was stunned and stared at Brian in disbelief, asking, "Did you ask someone to send them here?"

"Uh-huh." Brian deliberately asked, "Do you want to set them off?"

Joanne felt a surge of excitement gushing from her, as if a switch in her heart had been flipped.

She stood on tiptoe and kissed Brian's lips hard. "Thank you."

Brian opened a box and lit one up. After a while, with a "swoosh" sound, one firework rose into the sky.

Joanne fixed her eyes on the fireworks. Before she could react, with a bang, gorgeous fireworks bloomed in the air and only dimmed after a long while.

She suddenly became excited and clutched Brian's sleeve like an excited child.

Brian smiled faintly and held Joanne in his arms, indicating for her to continue watching the fireworks. "There's more."

Sure enough, there were still big fireworks, which painted beautiful fascinating pictures in the sky! They blossomed in the air one after another like flowers, looking extremely brilliant and dazzling.

Joanne was keenly aware that this kind of firework lasted longer than other fireworks.

She looked up at the sky, nestled in Brian's arms, and asked, "How did you know that I like fireworks?"

"I saw the look in your eyes just now." After a pause, Brian continued, "This firework is the longest-lasting type in the market. Do you like it?"

"No matter how long it can last, I like it as long as you set it off!" Joanne's tone was almost overbearing. When she turned her head, the light of the fireworks was reflected on her face and the smile on her lips became brighter. She said gently, "Honey, thank you."

Brian stroked her hair and motioned for her to continue watching the fireworks.

The fireworks were still blooming in the sky, but Joanne did not get tired of watching them at all, with a faint smile always on her lips.

Brian was not interested in fireworks, but he liked what Joanne looked like now.

Joanne's eyes were fixed on the fireworks.

His eyes were fixed on Joanne. His look softened and his eyes were full of tenderness and affection.

At this moment, they both saw the most beautiful scenery in the world.

A box of fireworks was quickly used up. The noise died down, while the sound of fireworks could still be heard a distance away.

However, Joanne felt that her whole world seemed to have quietened down.

She was still not satisfied. She left Brian's arms and pulled him, saying, "Are there any more? Set off more!"

Brian opened another box and lit them. Soon, some new fireworks bloomed in the air.

Joanne felt as if she had returned to her childhood days, when everything was beautiful and warm and she had no worries in her life.

However, if it weren't for Brian, she would be spending the Spring Festival alone this year, and she would still not dare to touch the fireworks in her memory.

Joanne turned her head and looked into Brian's affectionate eyes.

She was already very familiar with the feeling when Brian looked at her in this way, but every time she looked into his eyes, it felt as if her heart had been flipped, and suddenly, her heartbeat accelerated.

She seemed to be bewitched and could not look away. She could only look at Brian dazedly.

Brian slowly focused his eyes on Joanne's lips. Seeming to lose his self-control, he put his hands around her waist and held her in his arms.

"Honey..."

Joanne called Brian almost subconsciously.

Maybe it was because of the sound of fireworks, Joanne's voice sounded particularly tender and light, like a soft vine slowly twining around his heart.

Brian's heart skipped a beat. He lowered his head and kissed Joanne's lips.

"Uhh..."

Joanne did not resist at all. She clutched Brian's clothes with both hands, hugged him slowly, leaned against his chest, and responded to his kiss.

Even though they had been married for two years, Brian was still ecstatic about Joanne's response.

Brian held Joanne in a tighter grip. The two kissed passionately.

The fireworks, which were still blossoming, lighted up the skies and outlined their beautiful profiles.

Iris stood by the window on the second floor and happened to see Brian and Joanne having an intimate moment. She smiled and turned around to do her own things.

Iris was greatly relieved.

Iris had been in love, so she knew what people in love looked like.

When Brian and Joanne were together, it was so evident that they were in love.

When a couple got married and lived together, they should be so happy.

She made the right choice when she asked Brian to marry Joanne.

Downstairs, Brian and Joanne did not notice Iris's gaze at all. After exchanging kisses for a long time, they finally parted. They intimately leaned their foreheads against each other and the deep affection between them almost overflowed.

At some point, the sound of fireworks stopped.

A certain impulsive desire in Brian's heart grew stronger and stronger. He took Joanne's hand and said, "Let's go back."

Of course, he was talking about going back to their room.

Brian could not wait any longer. As soon as he closed the door, he directly pressed Joanne against the door and kissed her lips.

His hands were also busy, constantly moving all over Joanne's body. After a while, more than half of Joanne's strength had been drained.

The same happened to her clothes.

In Brian's eyes, Joanne was a work of art from head to toe. Even her collarbones fascinated him.

Joanne's collarbones were a sight to behold, like a butterfly fluttering its wings, elegant and exquisite.

Something in Brian's heart was screaming, about to break through his body. He did not care about anything anymore. He kissed Joanne's collarbones, and from time to time, he left small red marks.

Joanne responded to Brian. After a while, she melted against Brian's arms.

After a long while, Joanne suddenly remembered something and gave Brian a slight push. "Wait a minute. There is one more thing..."

Brian kissed Joanne and looked at her affectionately. "What is more important than what we are doing now?"

Joanne stammered, "Mom..."

Brian kissed the side of Joanne's ear and whispered in her ear, "Be good. Don't worry. Mom's room is on the other end of the corridor."

Joanne was not afraid of being discovered by Iris!

She felt as if something had exploded on her cheeks with a "bang" sound and she blushed. She raised her hand and pounded on Brian's chest. "I'm not talking about that!"

"Hmm?" Brian became interested and motioned for Joanne to continue. "What are you talking about?"

"About having another child." Joanne managed to say a complete sentence and looked at Brian with some uncertainty. "You told Mom so bluntly that we don't intend to have another child, will she be disappointed?"

Brian pondered for a moment and nodded seriously. "Of course."

Joanne's heart was instantly eroded by guilt, and she looked at Brian, feeling quite lost. "What should we do?"

Iris treated her like her own daughter. She did not want to let Iris down.

Brian did not answer but asked, "What do you think we should do?"

Joanne shook her head dazedly. "I don't know." Then she pushed Brian away again and looked at him with some annoyance. "Shouldn't you think of a way?"

Brian raised his eyebrows and pretended to be mysterious. "I have a way. Do you want to know?"

"Yes!" Joanne nodded, with a look of great curiosity in her eyes. "Tell me, what's your way?"

Brian smiled and said clearly, "We can have another child... right now."

Joanne thought that Brian's way was the best solution when Iris hoped that they could have another child.
