Chapter 1071 Wendy, That Wasn't the First Time for Us (2)

Wendy's voice was not loud, but Gavin still heard her.

Gavin didn't guess wrong-Wendy had no impression of what the first time she met Gavin in a real sense was like.

He smiled meaningfully.

Looking at Gavin's unfathomable look, Brian couldn't help but be confused. "When you met Wendy for the first time, you were not in the hospital?"

Gavin raised his eyebrows and shook his head. "No, that was not the first time we met."

Wendy also heard Gavin's words and fell into memories-

Where were she and Gavin when they met for the first time if they were not in the hospital?

Wendy tried very hard to think for a long time, but she couldn't remember where she and Gavin had met before the meeting in the Eighth Hospital.

Wendy became more and more curious. She couldn't help knocking on the door in excitement and asked, "Gavin, when did we meet for the first time on earth?"

Gavin paused mysteriously for a moment and said slowly, "It was at a wine party. You knocked into me and I asked you if you wanted to follow me. You said you didn't want to follow me but your cousin. Then, you ran away."

Wendy had a complicated feeling when she heard that. She bit her nails which had just been painted and asked, "That's it?"

"Yeah, that's it."

Gavin was calm, but Wendy's feeling was more complicated.

Wendy continued to think hard but found that she had no impression of the occurrence Gavin had described. She could only shake her head at Joanne and Freya and asked quietly with her lips, "Am I going to lose?"

Freya could do nothing but spread her hands. "You can't even remember the first time you met Gavin. Of course, you will lose!"

Wendy was also speechless about herself. After a moment of silence, she explained abruptly, "Probably because... our meeting in the hospital has left me with a deeper impression than the first time Gavin and I met..."

Well, it must be-Wendy comforted herself- Otherwise, it was impossible for her to have no impression of her first meeting with Gavin.

"The impression... was not deep enough?" Freya doubted Wendy's reason and looked the latter up and down. "Gavin is so handsome. You knocked into him, but you couldn't remember him?"

Wendy blinked her eyes and said innocently, "Maybe it's because I've seen too many handsome men. I'm immune to handsomeness..."

Wendy didn't expect that her words would be heard by Gavin.

Gavin narrowed his eyes and said in a dangerous voice, "Wendy, can you repeat what you've just said?"

Wendy suddenly realized it. She took a deep breath and hurriedly said, "I've seen so many handsome men, but I fell in love with you in the end. Do you think I have very good taste?"

...

Gavin raised his eyebrows, and the dangerous look disappeared from his face. It was replaced by a faint smile.

He inserted his hands into the pockets of his trousers and said, "Yeah, you really have very good taste."

Noah couldn't stand it anymore. He rolled his eyes at the ceiling and couldn't help but roast Gavin. "Be a man!"

Gavin glanced at Noah and calmly pointed out the latter's sore spot. "When Hazel is right in front of you, you still can't win her love. You are really a man."

...

Noah didn't expect that he could become Gavin's target. He felt as if he had been hit by a stick for no reason.

He didn't say anything but just turned his head silently.

"Hey, it's enough. Wendy is the leading role!" Freya knocked on the door from inside the door and said, "Gavin, Wendy has lost this time. You can decide how to punish her."

Gavin pondered for a moment and said in a meaningful tone, "Can I go home and decide how to punish Wendy?"

Hearing that, Joanne and Freya looked at each other tacitly. The two of them showed an "I understand" expression at the same time and looked at Wendy calmly-

Wendy knew what Joanne and Freya were indicating. She really didn't have the courage to look at them, so she could only choose to avoid it-

She covered her face and closed her eyes, pretending not to see anything.

Seeing this, Freya wanted more to punish Wendy. She smiled and said to Gavin outside the door, "Okay, you can!"

"Thank you." Gavin's tone became light. "Now, you can ask the second question."

"Let me ask the second question!" Freya couldn't wait to ask, "Gavin, when did you fall in love with Wendy? Can you remember it clearly?"

...

To everyone's surprise, Gavin didn't answer immediately this time.

Freya glanced at Wendy and said in a low voice, "Now it's Gavin who can't remember clearly. Good, Wendy, you can beat him this time!"

Joanne shook her head and cast a damp over them. "Actually, it's not necessarily..."

Freya looked at Joanne in confusion. "Joanne, what are you talking about?"

Joanne didn't beat around the bush and directly analyzed it. "Gavin didn't say anything for such a long time. It's not necessarily because he can't remember. There's another possibility-"

Before Joanne could finish her words, Gavin's voice suddenly came through the door-

"If I had to tell you the exact time, it should be the time when I met Wendy for the first time at the wine party."

...

Not only Joanne and Freya but also Wendy was stunned.

After a long while, Wendy came to her senses and asked word by word, "Gavin, are you sure that you fell in love with me at that time? Well, is this... a kind of puppy love?"

Freya couldn't help laughing out loud and looked at Wendy helplessly. "'Puppy love' should not be used in such a context..."

Wendy was in a daze. She couldn't react to anything and couldn't say anything.

Freya thought for a moment and decided to talk about the rightful topic. She asked, "Gavin, how are you sure that you fell in love with Wendy at that time?"

Gavin smiled and said after a while, "In the past, someone asked me a similar question, but I really couldn't remember when I fell in love with Wendy. Now I think about it. If I don't know when, it should be the first time we met."

...

The answer was really touching and perfect.

It was quiet inside and outside the door. At this time, even Freya couldn't say a word.

After being in a daze for a long while, Freya was finally able to utter something. She asked, "Gavin, so, you fell in love with Wendy at first sight?"

Gavin pondered for a moment and corrected her. "Or you can say the moment Wendy knocked into me, she hit my heart."

...

This time, there was a longer silence inside and outside the door.

Wendy was a little confused, but when she heard Gavin's words, she seemed to have suddenly sobered up. She calmed down with a smile on her lips, looking wondrously happy.

Even if Freya could understand Wendy's mood, the former was still covered with goosebumps seeing this.

Freya thought for a while and opened the door silently. There was a deep frown on her beautiful face. "If I don't open the door, I will get enough of your PDA."

When the door was open, Gavin and Wendy were standing face to face.

Wendy looked at Gavin. Without a second of delay, she threw herself into Gavin's arms and buried her face in his chest.

Gavin smiled and hugged Wendy. He circled her waist with one hand and touched the back of her head with the other. His every movement was very gentle and full of love.

Freya uttered "Wow" and covered her eyes. "I was wrong. There is more PDA after I opened the door! Who can rescue me?"

Joanne was amused by Freya's words and couldn't help smiling. She looked at the time-there were only 40 minutes left before 11 o'clock.

She tried to get things back on track and said, "OK, Gavin, carry Wendy in your arms and go out of the door. We should go to the church now."

Gavin held Wendy's head in his arms and gave Joanne a confused look-

He was just confused-Joanne wanted to continue playing?

Joanne understood the look in Gavin's eyes and shrugged indifferently. "Since we've started to play, let's play to the end."

Wendy wriggled like a caterpillar in Gavin's arms and raised her head. She looked at Gavin in confusion and asked, "Play what?"

Gavin lifted Wendy up with a smile and said lightly, "Nothing."

Conor arrived just now. He and Dolly were sitting on the sofa in the living room, watching these young men playing. He didn't say anything, but the smile on his lips was broader and broader.

He played such games when he was young, so he could understand the mood of these young men.

Dolly was not as carefree as Conor. Seeing that it was about time, she stood up and said, "OK, let's listen to Joanne. Let's go to the church."

Gavin looked down at Wendy in his arms and whispered, "We are leaving."

Wendy nestled in Gavin's arms and her cheeks had turned red.

She nodded and looked into Gavin's eyes, which were full of love. She felt her face had become very hot, and she subconsciously tried to hide her face in Gavin's arms.

At this moment, she couldn't deny that she could feel true happiness.

He didn't know if it was a bad idea. The more Wendy behaved like this, the better Gavin's mood would be.

Gavin had lived in this world for so many years, but he had never known the actual shape of happiness.

At this moment, he still didn't know it.

However, he could see that the road to happiness was clear and straight.

Joanne and Freya were standing behind Gavin and Wendy. Looking at the backs of the couple, they were inexplicably moved.

Freya wiped the corners of her eyes. "Why do I want to cry?"

Joanne thought about it and said with a smile, "Because it's not easy. After experiencing so much, Gavin and Wendy are finally getting married."
