Chapter 1076 As Long as You Won't Cry

She didn't expect that she would hear those sweet words from him. Wendy couldn't respond for a moment, so she could only look at Gavin in a daze.

He patted her head and looked into her eyes. "What's wrong?"

Wendy shook her head and said, "Nothing!"

"Okay then." Gavin stroked Wendy's hair and said, "Let's go."

"Okay."

Wendy held Gavin's hand intimately and walked out with him.

The staff was removing the decoration to restore the wedding set while Brian and Joanne were waiting outside the church.

Noah got here as a single person, and he was the only one outside the car.

He leaned against the car door and looked at Gavin and Wendy leisurely. There was a kind of ambiguous teasing in his tone. "I thought it would take a longer time for you to come out."

Gavin opened the car door with one hand and protected Wendy with the other hand against the car roof. He then looked at Noah and said, "We are not in a hurry. But if you don't get Hazel back, she may go with someone else."

Noah was speechless.

He finally got to experience what it was like to make a fool of himself.

He swore that he would never mess with Gavin and Wendy again.

"Neither of them is easy to deal with!"

Gavin appreciated Noah's depressed expression and then got into the car as if nothing had happened, completely ignoring Noah, who looked hurt.

It was Winston who drove the car.

Seeing that the cars in front of them were leaving one after another, Winston also started the car and followed the motorcade.

No one noticed that this time, Wesley's car was at the back.

Not only that but there were two more people in his car.

One was Wesley's bodyguard, and the other was Kai.

Rowdy once tSimon Yuna that he might take action on Wesley on the day of Gavin and Wendy's wedding.

For the sake of Yuna's safety, Wesley only told Brian about it and kept it a secret from others. He didn't expect that he still couldn't hide it from Kai.

After receiving the news, Kai rushed to Arlington as soon as possible.

Having been with Wesley for so many years, Kai still knew him well.

Wesley looked calm, but in fact, he had a kind of unquestionable pride in his bones.

Today, if Rowdy were to make a move, Wesley probably wouldn't back down. He would choose to confront Wesley head-on.

The final outcome would probably depend on who was stronger between Rowdy and Wesley.

If it were a fair fight, Kai wouldn't be worried.

However, he knew Rowdy too well. According to his insidious style, he would definitely do something behind others' backs and use the kind of trick that Wesley despised the most.

Therefore, Ah Kang had to rush over and keep an eye for Wesley.

Wesley didn't expect Kai to come.

For the sake of Yuna and other people, he even kept the fact that Rowdy was going to take action from Gavin. With Kai suddenly showing up with two of his men, it was hard to say whether it would arouse Rowdy's suspicion.

Wesley guessed that Rowdy might only have tSimon Yuna that he was going to take action today. Once he noticed that Wesley was on guard, Rowdy would definitely suspect Yuna.

Yuna was in a dangerous position, and Wesley didn't want anything to happen to her.

Kai could tell Wesley's worry at a glance.

He took the initiative to say, "Brother Wesley, although Gavin and I are not particularly familiar with each other, we are still friends. It's normal for me to come to his wedding. Even if Rowdy gets suspicious, he won't find any practical evidence. Don't worry."

Wesley frowned and thought for a moment, then ordered in a cold voice, "As long as Rowdy doesn't take any action, don't act rashly."

The implication was that so long as their enemy didn't make a move, they couldn't either.

Even if the enemy made a move, they had to pretend to be unprepared and get back at him after a while.

Kai held objection, but it was Wesley's order, so he had to obey it.

He nodded respectfully. "Yes, Brother Wesley!"

Wesley didn't say anything more and looked out of the window.

The small church was not in the bustling area of the city. It was very quiet on the roads nearby. The noon sun shone through the bare parasol trees, presenting a bright feeling of warmth.

The lane was very narrow, and the cars could only line up and move forward slowly.

Except for the sound of the wheels crushing the ground, it was particularly quiet all around.

However, there were only a few people who knew the huge trouble behind the quietness.

More than half an hour later, the cars were stopped in front of the Cityscape Hotel.

Gavin was the first to get out of his car. He held the door and waited for Wendy to get out.

The others quickly got out of their cars and entered the hotel one after another.

Because people were talking with each other, no one noticed that Wesley hadn't left his ride at the back of the motorcade for a long time.

If they looked into his car, they could see that Wesley was making a phone call.

It seemed that he was busy with the phone call that he didn't get out of his car.

But in fact, he was waiting.

The reason why Rowdy wanted to make a move on him was definitely not just to strike his pride.

It must be that Rowdy also wanted t to create a panic effect.

Now, everyone was present and none of them was prepared. It would be the best choice for Rowdy to make a sudden attack on Wesley in front of the hotel.

"However, I will not give him such an opportunity to do that."

After everyone entered the hotel, Wesley put down his phone and opened the car door.

Kai got out of the car and followed Wesley closely, saying, "Brother Wesley, I don't think Rowdy will take action at this time."

Wesley raised his eyebrows with great interest. "Why would you think so?"

"Because we're now in the center of the city!" Kai gave a reasonable analysis. "No matter how fearless Rowdy is, he doesn't dare to act rashly here, does he? If he does make trouble here, he can't escape the police's investigation."

Kai's words made sense.

However, he had missed something.

After a while, Wesley said slowly, "Kai, don't forget that Rowdy likes to catch others off guard. Since we think he can't do anything here, it's more likely that he will make a sudden attack."

Kai seemed to have realized it and nodded. "I see."

Wesley didn't say anything more. He followed the others and soon entered the hotel.

There were not many people. There was only one table for Gavin and Wendy's wedding banquet. Joanne had booked the largest private room in the hotel.

In the large private room of dozens of square meters, there was a semi-circled French window. Standing by it, one could see the river view of the city at one glance.

At this time, one could see the joy of the New Year by looking out of the window.

The waiter helped take everyone's coats and bags and hung them up one by one.

The manager of the private room came over with an impeccable smile on his face. "Mr. Brian, Mrs. Lambert, would you like us to serve the dishes now?"

Joanne looked around the private room and nodded. "Let's have them now."

The dishes today had been selected by Joanne from the hotel's menu long ago. The chefs got up early to prepare the ingredients and took control of the time to bring them to the table at this hour.

Whether it was the appearance, taste, or smell of the dishes, they were all in their best condition.

Joanne called everyone over. "Come take a seat. Let's eat first. We'll discuss what we will do after the meal later."

"What will we do after the meal?" Noah couldn't help but say, "Of course, we'll play games!"

"Sure thing!" Wendy glanced at Noah and said in a meaningful tone, "As long as you won't cry!"

Noah seemed to have become accustomed to being teased by them to the extent where he would cry.

Therefore, Wendy's wish became very simple - she found everything okay as long as Noah wouldn't cry.

Noah narrowed his eyes and looked at Wendy. "Wendy, don't forget that I'm one of Gavin's attending doctors."

The threat in his words could not be more obvious.

It just so happened that Wendy fell for this trick the most. She instantly shut her mouth and didn't say anything more.

Conor smiled helplessly and asked while having tea, "Gavin, how are you feeling now?"

He didn't sound as distant as before as his tone held a kind of intimacy toward his family members.

Maybe it was because Gavin was in a good mood, he looked much better than before.

He nodded. "I'm fine."

"Great then." Conor picked up his chopsticks. "Let's eat."

What Joanne had ordered were all very authentic local dishes served by the hotel. Every bite they took would leave them with the fragrance of the food in their mouths and the enjoyable aftertaste. In addition, everyone was chatting and laughing, so this lunch was very pleasant.

After the meal, Noah rubbed his hands and said excitedly, "Come on, let's play a game or something. Otherwise, it won't feel like a wedding banquet here!"

Before the others could say anything, Wesley said, "You guys go on. I have something to do, so I'm leaving."

Noah looked at the time and clicked his tongue. He looked at Wesley in confusion and said, "It's still noon. Are you sure you want to leave so early?"

Wesley didn't say anything more about his leaving, and there was no obvious emotion in his voice. "Excuse me."

Noah had always liked to have everyone around, and he wanted to ask Wesley to stay, but Brian shot him a glance.

The look in his eyes was very obvious - he told him not to keep Wesley.

Although Noah didn't know why, since Brian had hinted, he couldn't keep Wesley.

"Maybe Wesley does have something important to do?"

Joanne held the same doubt as Noah. She looked at Brian and asked, "Why is Wesley leaving so early?"

Brian stroked her hair a bit. "He has something to deal with, so he has to go to get it done."

Joanne pursed her lips. "Okay."

She didn't say anything else and ran over to join the others for games.

What she didn't know was that Brian actually didn't tell her the truth.

Wesley left in such a hurry not because he had something urgent, but because he couldn't stay here.

Otherwise, once Rowdy attacked him, it would bring harm to everyone in the private room.

Today was Gavin's wedding, and Wesley didn't want anything bad to happen.

However, his departure also meant that he had to face all the possibilities of good or bad by himself.

Brian didn't dare to imagine what Wesley would face alone if Rowdy launched a full attack on him.
