Kai grabbed the walkie-talkie and roared at the others with almost all his strength. "Everyone, cover Brother Wesley to the top of the mountain!"
As Kai said, he knew Wesley too well.
If he had guessed it correctly, what Wesley wanted to say just now was that everyone should be careful and protect themselves.
Usually, Wesley would always keep a cold face. His dignified look would make others keep a respectful distance from him, and they would even think that it was a waste that he had such a handsome face.
However, people who had been with Wesley for some time knew that the biggest difference between Wesley and Rowdy was that he valued their lives as much as his.
Wesley would never sacrifice his men for himself.
It was also for this reason that for so many years, no one had taken the initiative to quit working under Wesley.
Even in such a situation, Wesley still wanted to protect everyone.
But tonight, their opponent was Rowdy.
Everyone knew that Rowdy wanted to kill Wesley.
Since that was the case, Rowdy must have made full preparation to come here. Without the full protection of his men, it would be difficult for Wesley to escape safely.
Kai knew that it would be a selfish act, but he had to protect Wesley well so that nothing bad would happen to him.
Otherwise, more people would suffer.
All of a sudden, Wesley's hand was empty. He looked at Kai with a gloomy face and growled, "Kai!"
There was displeasure and more anger in his voice.
Kai had guessed that Wesley would be angry, but he couldn't care about that.
He shook his head and said very calmly, "Brother Wesley, it's useless for you to do that. I have already instructed them."
Wesley didn't say anything.
He narrowed his eyes. It was rare for him to be speechless.
Kai knew that he would be in danger. He had already ordered his men to protect Wesley and get him out of danger no matter what happened today.
His men would definitely do as they were told.
Wesley had only one choice - to fight side by side with everyone.
He took out a gun from under his seat. With a swift movement, Kai heard the sound of a bullet being loaded. It was not very loud, just like some kind of life-threatening note.
Kai took out a silencer and handed it to Wesley. "Brother Wesley."
Wesley quickly installed it and put it on. At that moment, something hit the car window hard, making a crisp sound.
The window was bulletproof, so there were no cracks. The bullet only left a small white spot on its surface.
The threat of death was so close to them, but there was not much noise at the foot of the mountain.
Everyone had a tacit understanding. They installed the silencers on their guns.
Wesley looked at the white spot outside the window, as well as the occasional burst of fire. A cold smile appeared on his face.
It was Rowdy's style to be so impatient.
Rowdy really wanted Wesley dead, so he sent a lot of people over in an aggressive manner. He must think that he could end Wesley's life like this.
Kai decisively took out his mobile phone, dialed Brian's number, and said directly, "Mr. Lambert, Rowdy has taken action."
"Someone has already reported that to me." Brian's voice was calm. "Kai, listen carefully. The people on the top of the mountain have been sent down, and they will soon arrive. When you can't hold on, the people I arranged will also help you."
In other words, Wesley had double safeguards.
Kai was instantly relieved.
"No matter what happens, it's okay as long as Wesley gets to survive."
Kai breathed a sigh of relief and said in a much more relaxed tone, "Thank you, Mr. Lambert."
"You're welcome." After a pause, Brian said, "Kai, protect Wesley well."
"I will, Mr. Lambert. Don't worry."
As soon as he finished speaking, Kai hung up the phone.
He had no time to talk with Brian. The gunfight in front of him was his priority.
Kai put down his phone and looked at Wesley.
Wesley had already put on the night vision goggles, and the cold outline reflected a touch of fierceness in the night. His lips were tightened into a straight line, which gave him a bloodthirsty look.
Kai said, "Brother Wesley, our men have been sent down from the top of the mountain. Mr. Lambert will be here soon."
Wesley looked around and suddenly said, "Maybe it's too late."
Kai was about to ask what he meant when he found that someone was approaching his and Wesley's car.
The others were busy dealing with the crisis in front of them, and no one could care about him and Wesley.
The danger was pressing forward step by step.
The driver broke out in a cold sweat and asked uneasily, "Brother Wesley, what should we do now?"
Just as Wesley was about to say something, he noticed something out of the corner of his eye.
Almost subconsciously, he pushed open the door of Kai's side, grabbed Kai, and ordered, "Get out of the car!"
Before Kai could react, he had already been taken by Wesley to jump out of the car.
There was a small hillside outside the car. Wesley let go of Kai and rolled down with him.
In less than five seconds, there was a boom in the parking place on the hillside, and then a fire suddenly lit up.
No matter how slow Kai was, he realized that their car had been blown up.
He didn't notice that Rowdy's men had come with a bomb.
"Damn, Rowdy is really ruthless!
"If Wesley hadn't found it in time, I might have... been ignited by now.
"Damn it. That must hurt!"
Rowdy's men reacted quickly. When they found that Wesley had jumped out of the car, they immediately chased after him.
Wesley noticed their movement and raised his gun to shoot a few times. His movements were smooth. Soon someone rolled down in a mess with bleeding wounds, and he curled up in pain.
Kai counted. He hit two men, and Wesley hit four.
Wesley had always been so fast and powerful.
After solving the crisis in front of him, Wesley got up, took the sniper rifle on Kai's back, threw it to him, and said, "Come with me."
No matter what kind of predicament he was in, Wesley would always find a way to break through.
Kai knew better than anyone that he had made the right choice to follow Wesley, and it was the safest way.
Wesley and Kai quickly found a suitable position for sniping with his night vision goggles. Kai would do the observation while he would take care of the sniping.
If they were unarmed, Brian and Wesley would be equally matched. However, when it came to shooting, Brian was not as good as Wesley.
Wesley could basically hit the target every time without a miss and cut off Rowdy's most powerful force in a few moves.
Kai suddenly felt that it was not a good choice for Rowdy to attack them at this time.
It was too dark. His men found that Wesley was gone, and they were down one after another. They could only guess that Wesley was attacking them, but it was hard to find out where he was.
Not only could it not increase their offensive power, but it would also cause them to panic.
After all, they would be at a disadvantage if they were in the open and their opponent was in the dark.
After five minutes, Rowdy's men realized where Wesley was, and they chased after him.
Wesley and Kai quickly shifted their positions under the cover of the night, causing Rowdy's men to fail.
At this moment, the sound of a helicopter was getting closer and closer, which meant that the people on the mountain had gotten down.
Rowdy's men were still unwilling to give up and stubbornly searched for Wesley.
In the end, a beam of light hit Wesley.
Almost in the next second, all the firepower on Rowdy's side was concentrated on Wesley.
Wesley and Kai had fought side by side for so many years, so they sure had a tacit understanding. The two quickly separated and dispersed the firepower. Wesley's men also reacted and tried their best to cover Wesley's transfer.
It was unknown whether Rowdy's men had realized it or not. They basically didn't have a chance to hurt Wesley, and they suddenly started to target Kai.
Wesley reacted faster than his men and turned to cover Kai.
If he wanted to cover for others, he would have himself exposed.
Rowdy's men found the opportunity and pointed their guns at Wesley.
Wesley had been prepared for their attack, so he dodged it flexibly. Even so, he was still pierced through by a stray bullet, which barely grazed his arm.
He felt as if his skin had been cut open. A burning pain spread on his arm, and the strength of his grip on the gun loosened a lot.
Kai noticed that something was wrong. He shouted, "Brother Wesley, how are you doing?"
Wesley signaled Kai to rest assured. "I'm fine."
Rowdy's men probably didn't see any hope and chose to retreat.
It was quiet at the foot of the mountain. Wesley and Kai boarded the helicopter with several of their men and went straight back to the top of the mountain.
Today, there was a party in the Summit Clubhouse. The whole club was brightly lit, and the cold weather could not affect the hot atmosphere.
Wesley came here because he wanted to attend this party, meet a person, and talk about something.
After getting off the helicopter, Kai immediately ordered, "Brother Wesley is injured. Call the doctor over!"
Hearing that, the manager of the club hurriedly took Wesley to the suite on the top floor, which was not open to the public, and the doctor arrived soon.
The doctor checked Wesley's wound and frowned. "Mr. Mu, although your wound is not fatal, it is still very deep. It will take some time to deal with it."
Wesley looked at the time with his wrist and said in a deep voice, "I have something to deal with. Just simply bandage this wound first."
Out of professional instinct, the doctor hesitated. "Mr. Mu, this wound..."
Wesley's voice grew cold with a hint of irresistible order. "Do as I say!"
The doctor suddenly had a hunch that if he talked again, he would die here today.
Wesley didn't have the patience to deal with insignificant people like them.
Thinking of this, the doctor stopped hesitating. He cleaned Wesley's wound, applied some medicine to it, quickly bandaged it, and told him, "You must come back in four hours to deal with it again."
Wesley didn't say anything more. He changed his clothes and went straight downstairs.
Kai also changed into a coat and got rid of the smell of gunfire all over his body. He looked like the usual loyal attendant again.
He followed Wesley closely and asked with some worry, "Brother Wesley, how are you doing?"
The elevator just got to the first floor. Wesley glanced at Kai and said as he walked out, "You have to pretend as if nothing happened no matter what."
Kai quickly understood what he meant and nodded. "Yes, sir!"
