Chapter 1085 I Want Wesley Dead as Well (2)

In this way, Rowdy had actually gained something.

However, his actions had failed, which was an undeniable fact.

He had carefully arranged it for such a long time, but he couldn't hurt Wesley at all.

"Bang!"

Rowdy punched on the solid wooden table again, and the place where his joints were connected instantly turned red while there were even bright red blood stains on the skin.

Even so, the resentment in his heart could not be relieved.

"Since I've failed to kill Wesley this time, I will kill him with my hands next time!"

The scene in the courtyard was completely different from the scene inside the house.

It was the first time for Emily to spend the Spring Festival, so she was full of excitement. As soon as it was dark, she took Yuna to the yard to set off fireworks.

Back when he lived in America for a few years, his daily life was dull.

Before returning to the country, he had never seen fireworks, but this time he could light them himself.

Looking at the beautiful flowers blooming in the night sky, the little boy was so excited that he screamed.

"This is amazing! Auntie Yuna, I want to stay here and spend the Spring Festival every year!"

Compared with Emily's excitement, Yuna was only calm in her heart.

However, things weren't the same in the past.

During these years abroad, although she didn't often return to the country, she would come back before the Spring Festival every year to spend the holiday with her grandmother.

For her, the Spring Festival was only meaningful when her family reunited.

However, her grandmother had already passed away. She could no longer reunite with her grandmother.

If Emily hadn't been so excited, Yuna would have been worried during this New Year.

She was worried about Wesley.

Rowdy had already said that he would take action today, and it was aimed at Wesley.

If she remembered correctly, Wesley was going to attend Gavin and Wendy's wedding. If he didn't take precautions, he would inevitably get hurt or even die.

After noon, Yuna kept comforting herself that she had to believe in Wesley.

No matter how fierce Rowdy was, Wesley was not that easy to deal with. As long as he reacted, it would not be so easy for Rowdy to hurt him.

"Wesley will be fine!"

Until it was dark, Rowdy still hadn't made a move yet.

Yuna vaguely guessed that Rowdy's action should be arranged in the evening.

As expected, Kai rushed in just now.

Judging from his posture, he must have brought some bad news.

Frankly speaking, Yuna breathed a sigh of relief.

If Rowdy had bad news, it would mean good news for Wesley, which would mean good news for her as well.

Only Emily felt confused.

The little boy tugged at Yuna's hand and said, "Auntie Yuna, what's wrong with Daddy and Uncle Milo? Their expressions are so scary!"

Yuna didn't intend to tell the little boy the truth. She said lightly, "They have some work to discuss. We can just play by ourselves. Don't worry about them!"

Emily tilted his head, blinked his big black eyes, and asked, "Is it something very serious?"

Yuna shook her head and said, "Well... I'm sorry. I don't know about that either."

She could only say that.

If she denied it and said that it was not serious, Emily could be sure that she knew the truth and might not believe her.

It was the wisest choice for her to pretend to be ignorant and keep herself away from everything.

"All right." Emily pursed his lips and said cleverly, "I'll ask Daddy about it later!"

Yuna's heart skipped a beat and she hurriedly said, "Emily, your daddy's job this time... is a bit special. Don't ask him! In fact, you'd better not ask anything about his work. Do you understand what I mean?"

Emily thought for a while and nodded, "I see."

Yuna stroked the little boy's head and said, "Good boy." In order to distract his attention, she continued, "Let's continue to set off fireworks. The later ones will be even more amazing!"

After all, Emily was a child, and he was always more interested in playing.

After Yuna said that, his attention shifted from Rowdy to the sky, and he nodded excitedly. "Okay, let's continue!"

Yuna lit the fire, and the fireworks soared into the sky. They turned into flowers in the sky, which were dazzling and bright, rendering the night sky beautiful.

"Wow!" Emily couldn't help but exclaim, "It's so beautiful!"

Yuna rubbed the little boy's head and asked, "Do you like it?"

"Yeah, I like it very much!" Emily looked at Yuna. His question caught her off guard. "Auntie Yuna, can we set off fireworks together for the Spring Festival in the future?"

Because he liked Yuna, the little boy wanted to spend all the beautiful moments with her.

He asked that question subconsciously.

Yuna didn't know how to respond to him.

She had a lot of things to think about now, but she had never thought of her future.

Therefore, she could not give an answer to what would happen in the future.

Yuna could only say, "Emily, I also hope to set off fireworks with you in the future."

"Well, I also hope so!" There was a naive smile on Emily's tender face. "Auntie Yuna, you told me before that as long as we want, we can do anything! So, we can definitely set off fireworks together in the future."

Yuna was subdued by the little boy's strong logic and could only nod. "That's right!"

"Haha!" Emily laughed happily and pointed to the sky. "Auntie Yuna, look!"

Yuna looked up, and a gorgeous light came into view. There was also a different kind of brilliance in her eyes.

With Emily's satisfied smile and the failure of Rowdy's operation, Yuna could feel that this was a good beginning to her new year.

She only hoped that this good feeling could last.

Before long, Kai came out of the house. After saying goodbye to Yuna, he left in a hurry.

Emily sighed like an adult and said, "I'm so sorry for Uncle Kai."

"Hmm?" Yuna felt strange and looked at the little boy in confusion. "Why would you say that?"

Emily explained in detail, "Uncle Kai looks upset, so he must have been scolded by Daddy again!"

Yuna had to admit that the little boy was too smart.

However, since the operation had failed, it meant that Kai must have inevitably been scolded.

Although the failure this time had nothing much to do with Kai, Yuna couldn't sympathize with him.

In the beginning, Kai chose to work for Rowdy. No matter what he was going to bear now, it was his own choice and no one else could be blamed.

After a while, Rowdy also came out of the house.

Almost at the same time, with a bang, a firework bloomed in the air.

The bright firelight covered the sky and fell on Rowdy's face, which showed his stiff and gloomy face clearly. The killing intent on his body was presented with the white light of fireworks.

Emily was too familiar with Rowdy, and he was very sure that his daddy would become very horrible by then.

The little boy didn't want to be the innocent one to be blamed on, so he subconsciously hid behind Yuna and said weakly, "Auntie Yuna, I'll protect you!"

Yuna couldn't help but smile. She comforted the little boy with her eyes and said, "Go back to your room first."

What she and Rowdy were going to say next was not suitable for the little boy to hear.

Emily was very obedient to Yuna. He nodded, turned around, and ran into the house.

Until she couldn't see Emily, Yuna looked at Rowdy and asked in a confused voice, "Is there something wrong?"

Rowdy clenched his fists and gnashed his teeth, saying, "Wesley was injured and escaped."

"Injured."

Yuna's attention was focused on this word.

Rowdy's arrangement was precise. In the end, Wesley couldn't escape the attack, and he was still injured.

"Is his injury serious? When can he recover? Is he in pain now?"

A lot of questions came to her mind. Yuna couldn't find an answer but found herself ridiculous.

Her worries were meaningless.

Even if she could go to Wesley and ask him these questions, according to his character, he would only say that he was fine and tell her not to worry.

Having been with Wesley for more than a year, she knew him too well - he was powerful yet arrogant.

He would never show his weakness to others, especially in front of the ones he cared about.

She didn't know if it was okay with him to be that way.

Seeing that Yuna was lost in thought, Rowdy thought that she was worried about Wesley. His voice became colder as he called her, "Yuna!"

Yuna came to her senses and her face turned cold. She said in a voice filled with hatred, "Is he just injured?"

Rowdy was stunned for a moment.

"What does she mean by that?

"She hopes that Wesley is not only injured?

Rowdy asked tentatively, "Yuna, I've told you about my action today. What's the result you're looking forward to?"

"I hope Wesley won't live until tomorrow." Yuna snorted coldly. "If I die of illness with him dead as well, I won't have any regrets."

When Yuna mentioned her illness, Rowdy's attention was naturally diverted.

"Yuna," Rowdy put his hand on Yuna's shoulder and said slowly, "the doctors are trying their best to help you. I hope I won't hear you say that again anymore."

Yuna still wanted to say something. "I..."

"Yuna!" Rowdy interrupted Yuna. "You're so pessimistic, which shows that not only you do not trust the doctors but also you don't trust me!"

Yuna stubbornly looked at Rowdy for a moment and then compromised. "Well, I'll try my best to be optimistic and think that I can still live..."

Rowdy didn't know what to say for a moment, so he took Yuna into his arms and said, "Yuna, Wesley has been hit by a bullet, which means that he is not some indestructible god. It's just a matter of time before we end his life."

As soon as he finished speaking, Rowdy held Yuna more tightly.

Yuna knew that Rowdy's series of actions were just to test her.
