Chapter 1089 Wendy's Top-secret Plan (2)

"To do something else?"

Wendy knew what Gavin meant without thinking much about it.

She blinked her eyes and tried to break free from Gavin's arms. She said with a fake smile, "Doing it too much will hurt. Have you ever heard of this saying?"

Gavin denied it without thinking. "I've never heard of it, and I'm not interested in it."

"Haven't you heard of it? Well, then I'll explain it to you..." Wendy still wanted to make the last struggle and tried her best to organize her words. "What it means is that..."

"Isn't it that one should walk the walk instead of just talking the talk?" Gavin interrupted Wendy and stopped her. "Wendy, I also think that practical actions are better than empty talk."

Wendy was speechless.

She had never thought that the saying could be applied to sex.

"This is clearly a crafty argument!"

Wendy blurted out, "Screw you, Gavin!"

Gavin rubbed Wendy's head. "From now on, only I get to screw you."

Wendy was speechless.

She didn't say anything, but in her heart, she was roaring all kinds of curses.

Seeing Wendy's expression, Gavin knew what she was thinking. He suddenly raised his hand and flicked her forehead hard before letting go of her.

He was just teasing her. Wendy felt that her forehead was going numb. She covered the painful part and looked at Gavin in disbelief. "Were you just bluffing?"

"Uh-huh." Gavin rubbed Wendy's head. "How can I bear to wear you out?"

Wendy was furious. She slapped Gavin's hand off her, picked up a pillow, and threw it at him. "Bastard!"

"Do you want me not only to bluff?" Gavin caught the pillow easily. Looking at Wendy calmly, he suddenly asked, "Wendy, do you still want more?"

Wendy didn't want to say anything extra. She picked up another pillow and threw it at Gavin. "Go away!"

Gavin smiled and pampered Wendy. He then took her to wash up.

The two of them had been together for some time, and they had completely grasped each other's rhythm. All their movements were very tacit.

While brushing her teeth, Wendy looked at herself in the mirror and thought-

She didn't know what other people's wedding life was like. She just felt that it was not bad for her to be like this.

She didn't have any special requirements.

She just wanted to be with Gavin.

After breakfast, Gavin packed up while asking Wendy, "Do you want to stay for two more days? It's okay for us to go back to the hospital two days later."

Wendy shook her head decisively without thinking. "No!"

She really didn't want to.

Gavin would soon have his last operation. It would be helpful for the operation to adjust his body to the best state in the early stage.

Everything had to be carried out under the doctor's guidance.

Wendy just wanted Gavin to go back to the hospital as soon as possible and let the doctor monitor his health at any time.

Of course, they needed to finish what they had to do before that.

Gavin knew that according to Wendy's character, she certainly preferred the outside world.

She had decided to go back to the hospital so decisively because of him.

Gavin pulled Wendy into his arms and kissed her forehead. "Wendy, no matter what you want to do after I get discharged from the hospital, I'll go with you."

Wendy snorted and teased Gavin with a smile. "You've already said that!"

Gavin did say that right after they got married.

However, he still wanted to repeat it.

He wanted Wendy to know that he was very serious about his promise.

Wendy took another look at herself in the mirror and decided to put on light makeup so as to cover the light blue of her eyelids.

After everything was done, they went out together.

Today, Gavin's driver was back to work.

Wendy had already instructed the driver yesterday. After getting in the car and sitting down, she just said, "All right. Sir, you can drive now."

The driver understood and smiled. He started the car, and the white car got into an endless stream of traffic.

Gavin had lived here for seven or eight years, so he was familiar with the roads in this area. Soon, he found that they were not taking the route to the hospital.

He glanced at Wendy and asked in confusion, "Where are we going?"

Wendy thought for a moment and named a location next to the destination. She said, "The Century Square! Before we go back to the hospital, I need to buy something first!"

Since they got together, no matter what Wendy did, she would discuss it with Gavin in advance.

She rarely made such a sudden decision.

Out of curiosity, Gavin couldn't help asking, "What do you want to buy?"

Wendy had already made up her mind. She blurted out without hesitation, "The lipstick! There is a brand that has a particularly nice shade. I want to buy it! Well, later you can help me see if the shade is really as nice as the makeup streamer said it would be!"

Gavin was not surprised that girls would buy these things. He held Wendy's chin and looked at her for a moment. "Wifey, your lips are already beautiful enough."

"Wifey?"

It was the first time that Gavin had called her that.

Wendy felt sweet as if her heart was covered with honey. The sweetness was shown on her lips, which made her look sweet and brilliant.

She leaned in and kissed Gavin. "This is a reward for you!"

Next, Wendy stuck like glue to Gavin and talked about all kinds of things, trying to distract his attention so that he wouldn't have the chance to think about other things.

Gavin was too smart.

He could see through the fact that she wanted to marry him, and he could definitely see through her thoughts.

This time, she must give Gavin a surprise.

The car went for more than 20 minutes and stopped at an intersection.

Century Square was a shopping mall owned by Lambert Group. Gavin often went there, so he was very familiar with it. This intersection was obviously about 80 meters away from the mall.

The driver explained skillfully, "The parking spaces in the shopping mall are full, and there aren't many parking places left around. I may have to go somewhere far to find a parking lot." The aged driver smiled apologetically and continued, "Special Assistant Gavin, Mrs. Shen, you may need to walk for a while to go to the shopping mall."

"It doesn't matter. We'll take it as an exercise!" Before Gavin could speak, Wendy pulled him and said, "Let's get out of the car!"

Gavin was dragged out of the car without knowing why, but he found that Wendy was not walking in the direction of Century Square at all.

He vaguely felt that Wendy wasn't taking him to a shopping mall.

Sure enough, not long after they started walking, Wendy stopped in front of a building with a few floors. She pointed to the front and said, "Before we go to buy lipstick, let's do something here first."

Gavin looked in the direction of Wendy's finger. The name "County Clerk Office" came into his sight.

Of course, he knew what business the County Clerk Office did.

He just didn't expect that Wendy would bring him here.

At the wedding, he did think about it that he and Wendy were not a legitimate couple without a marriage certificate.

However, he did not mention it in the end.

He thought to himself that he might be able to talk about this matter after the operation.

If his operation was completed successfully and he could wake up as well, only then he could take the responsibility of being a husband and be qualified to get a marriage certificate with Wendy, becoming a legitimate couple with her.

What he didn't expect was that Wendy, who had always been careless, would also think of this.

It was a pity that she was not familiar with the domestic leave regulations.

Gavin rubbed Wendy's head and said, "It's the statutory holiday today. The staff at County Clerk Office is off work. We may need to come back another day."

"This is not an excuse." Wendy smiled. "I went to my cousin and he helped me solve this problem. Today, someone in the County Clerk Office will help us go through the formalities!"

Gavin raised his eyebrows. "What about your nationality?"

"Well!" Wendy looked relaxed. "It's all settled. You just need to go in with me to get the marriage certificate. You don't need to worry about anything!"

Gavin rubbed his temple.

He couldn't remember when his little girl had become so thoughtful during this period.

"She used to be quite careless. What happened to that?"

Wendy looked at Gavin and thought that he was hesitating. She couldn't help lowering her voice. "Gavin, I said that I want to be a real couple with you. When I said that I want to marry you, I wasn't asking for a wedding but a legitimate identity. Don't you want it?"

Gavin didn't say anything.

It would be completely a lie to say that he wasn't touched.

In this world, except for Wendy, he couldn't find another girl who would treat him so well.

Gavin looked at Wendy and stroked her face. "Have you really thought about it?"

Wendy nodded affirmatively. "I've thought it through, and I'm clear about what I'm doing. There's no need to think about it anymore."

Gavin took Wendy's hand and said, "Let's go in then."

The County Clerk Office was only opened for Gavin and Wendy. The formalities were done very fast.

In the end, they did their signatures and got two red certificates. Wendy became Mrs. Shen legitimately, and the spouse column on Gavin's documents was no longer blank.

There were some official words on the marriage certificate, which were just cliches, but Wendy read them word by word as if she had got some mysterious red treasure book.

Gavin couldn't help but smile. "Wendy, what's so interesting about this certificate?"

"I just think it's amazing!" Wendy leaned against Gavin, looking determined. "With this, you can't abandon me easily."

Gavin circled Wendy's waist and said, "Wendy, I will never take the initiative to leave you."

Wendy didn't say anything. She couldn't help smiling while her brilliant smile and the bright light in her eyes revealed the happiness in her heart.

Gavin rubbed Wendy's head. "Let's go."

Wendy was pulled while asking, "Where are you taking me?"
