Chapter 1104 The Purest Soul

Yuna really didn't know how to answer, so she changed the topic abruptly and asked, "Emily, are you very concerned about Uncle Gavin?"

"Hmm?" Emily shook his head decisively without thinking. "No!"

Yuna breathed a sigh of relief. "Since you aren't concerned about him, why don't we..."

She wanted to say, "Why don't we talk about something else?"

As long as it had nothing to do with Gavin's condition, she could tell Emily everything.

However, before she could finish her words, Emily suddenly interrupted Yuna and said, "Auntie Yuna, I'm more concerned about Sister Wendy!"

Yuna didn't say anything.

Only then did she remember that Wendy liked Emily very much while they were at the top of the mountain.

Coincidentally, Emily also liked Wendy very much. He kept calling her sister in a soft and sweet manner.

Yuna clearly realized that there was no way that she could avoid the topic of Gavin's condition.

Since she couldn't avoid it, she decided to tease the little boy first.

Yuna looked at Emily and said, "Emily, Wendy is married to Gavin. They have become a family. If you're concerned about Wendy, it also means that you're concerned about Gavin!"

Emily tilted his head and thought for a moment. He then denied Yuna's words directly. "That's not right!"

"No?"

Yuna was more or less surprised.

In her impression, Emily had always been very firm. He would always take her side and take whatever she stood for as his position, which had never changed.

For the first time, Emily denied Yuna's words so directly.

The more Yuna thought about it, the more curious she became. She couldn't help asking, "Emily, what did I say wrong?"

Emily still tilted his head and looked very cute with a serious look. He said reasonably, "When I was at the top of the mountain, Sister Wendy told me that everyone is independent, even if they get married! Therefore, I'm concerned about Sister Wendy, but it has nothing to do with Uncle Gavin at all. Humph!"

Yuna looked at Emily's posture. The little boy seemed to be defending his position to the end.

She had a hunch that she couldn't defeat this little boy in their discussion.

Yuna could only wear a considerate look. She nodded, stroked Emily's head, and suddenly set up a trap for the little boy. "I get that. You just don't want to admit that you care about Gavin, don't you?"

No matter what question Yuna asked, Emily always answered everything without reservation.

As soon as he heard Yuna's question, Emily nodded defenselessly and gave Yuna a very positive answer. "That's right!"

Sure enough, the boy just didn't want to admit it.

Yuna stroked Emily's head a few times and showed a satisfied smile.

Emily immediately noticed that there was something wrong with Yuna's smile.

"Hmm?" He was confused. After staring at Yuna and thinking for a while, he finally realized that he had been tricked by her.

"Auntie Yuna, this is not cool!" The little boy protested, holding Yuna's thigh persistently and shaking it back and forth. It seemed that he was trying to express something.

Yuna knew the little boy very well.

She knew better than anyone that Emily wasn't trying to express anything.

He didn't expect that she would expose what he was thinking, and the little boy just felt embarrassed.

Yuna grabbed Emily's hand and hugged him. She smiled and said, "Okay now. Don't get nervous. I won't tell Gavin."

Emily blinked and said, "It's a deal. You can't go back on your word!"

Yuna imitated Emily and promised him with a pinky swear.

She didn't mention Gavin's condition at all. She thought that after such a scene, Emily would slowly forget what he had asked just now.

It turned out that Yuna had underestimated Emily.

After making a pinky swear with Yuna, the little boy pursed his lips and changed the subject. "Auntie Yuna, you haven't answered my question yet!"

Yuna was stunned and knew that her wishful thinking had failed.

She couldn't help but sigh. "So there's no way that I could avoid talking about this."

Seeing that Yuna didn't speak for quite a while, Emily looked more and more confused.

He stared at her and cautiously asked, "Auntie Yuna, is there something that you can't tell me?"

"No." Yuna subconsciously denied it. In order to cover up her guilty conscience, she continued, "Emily, I just... don't know how to tell you."

Emily tilted his head and thought for a moment. Then, he acted like an adult again and said word by word, "Just tell me!"

Yuna was impressed by Emily's quick thinking. She couldn't help smiling and said, "Emily, in fact... I'm not very clear about Gavin's physical condition."

"Huh?" Emily was a little disappointed. He fiddled with his fingers and said in a low voice, "I thought you knew."

"I'm sorry." Yuna shook her head apologetically. "Your daddy doesn't allow me to inquire about Gavin. I don't know anything about him."

"What? Do you mean that Daddy knows about Uncle Gavin's situation?" Emily was about to jump up as he talked. "I'll ask Daddy about it then!"

"You can't do that." Yuna grabbed Emily and told him seriously, "Your daddy will be mad."

"I know that Daddy will be very angry..." Emily pursed his lips, lowered his head, and said, "But I really want to know how Uncle Gavin is doing..."

Seeing Emily like this, Yuna couldn't bear to disappoint the little boy.

It just so happened that she knew what kind of answer Emily was looking forward to.

She couldn't bear what Gavin was suffering for him, but she could picture a beautiful scene on his behalf.

Yuna smiled and changed the subject. "I can guess Gavin's physical condition!"

"Really?" Emily's eyes widened slightly. He suddenly jumped over and grabbed Yuna's hand, his eyes full of expectation. "Auntie Yuna, how did you guess it? Can you tell me about it?"

"How did I guess it? It's a little complicated. You may not understand." Yuna smiled mysteriously and continued, "But I can tell you!"

"Okay. I'm listening!"

Emily nodded hard and waited seriously for what Yuna would say.

Yuna analyzed calmly and said, "Think about it. Gavin is such a responsible person. If his physical condition had not improved, he would not have agreed to marry Wendy. Since he is married to her, it means that he must have started getting better, and he will recover soon!"

Rather than a guess, it was more like an expectation of Yuna.

In fact, Yuna knew the truth better than anyone else. It was very likely that the reality was the opposite of what she had guessed.

Gavin's condition might have reached an irredeemable level.

It was very likely that Wendy had requested for the wedding on the first day of the New Year because she didn't want Gavin to have any regrets in the last days of his life.

This was in line with Wendy's character and style.

Gavin was a perfectionist. He would not allow himself to return to the hospital the day after his wedding, but Wendy would not mind that.

Judging from the persistence of Wendy for Gavin, Yuna could conclude that to Wendy, it didn't matter how she and Gavin would go through the crisis after getting married.

She just wanted to be a legitimate couple with Gavin.

In this world, some people would take their feelings more important than anything else.

Thinking of this, Yuna couldn't help smiling. She didn't know whether she was comforting Emily or herself.

It was undeniable that Yuna's answer fully met Emily's expectations for Gavin.

After hearing Yuna's words, the little boy jumped up excitedly and looked at her with bright eyes. "Auntie Yuna, is it true?"

Yuna didn't blush or feel embarrassed. Instead of answering, she asked, "Emily, think about it - when did I ever lie to you?"

"I don't need to think about it!" Emily blinked his eyes and suddenly said, "You did lie to me!" Then, he fiddled with his fingers and said, "But this time, I believe you!"

Yuna was amused by the little boy. She touched his head and asked, "Why would you choose to believe me this time?"

Emily thought for a moment and really didn't know how to explain it to Yuna, so he could only correct himself. "In fact, I believe in Uncle Gavin."

The reason why the little boy believed in Yuna's analysis was completely based on his trust in Gavin.

He believed that Uncle Gavin would take good care of Sister Wendy.

If he wanted to take good care of someone, the premise was that he had a healthy body.

According to this inference, Emily firmly believed that Uncle Gavin must have recovered.

Therefore, he believed Yuna's words, which was no different from believing in Gavin.

After figuring out the little boy's logic, Yuna didn't know how to react. She didn't know whether to be sad or glad that the little boy was smart.

Nevertheless, it was already her greatest fortune to successfully cope with the problem he had asked.

Emily wrapped his arms around Yuna's neck, snuggling his thin body in her arms with a bright smile in his eyes. "Auntie Yuna, I'm very happy."

Yuna touched Emily's head and looked at him. "Are you happy because Gavin has recovered?"

"Yeah!" This time, Emily didn't hesitate. He nodded hard and admitted, "As long as Uncle Gavin recovers, Sister Wendy will be happy. I hope that everyone can be happy."

If it were someone else who said that, Yuna might doubt that person's sincerity.

However, she would never doubt Emily.

Emily said that he hoped that everyone would be happy, so that must be what he believed in his heart.

In Yuna's mind, there was no other soul purer than Emily's in the world.

This pure soul had a deep blessing for Gavin.

She hoped that as Emily had said, Gavin would get better. She also hoped that he would take good care of Wendy and grow old with her.
