In the study, Brian and Wesley sat face-to-face on the two single sofas.
Rolando felt the most comfortable. He occupied the long sofa alone and could make any kind of posture he wanted.
Rolando had always been indulgent, so his posture was naturally like that of a young master.
However, when he was facing Brian and Wesley, his tone was unexpectedly strict. "Regardless of anything else, let's assume that Rowdy will be attending the banquet with Yuna. Let's discuss whether Wesley will take action or not."
No one spoke, and the big study was quiet.
Rolando hated silence the most. He glanced at Brian and Wesley and urged them to talk.
Brian was not the person involved, so he had no position to speak. He naturally turned his eyes to Wesley.
Wesley's eagle-like eyes were no longer as sharp as before. He lowered his head slightly and said word by word, "I don't want to miss this opportunity."
This was an opportunity to save Yuna.
Wesley couldn't convince himself to give it up.
Rolando rubbed the tip of his nose with his knuckle thoughtfully and nodded. "Wesley, I understand how you feel. But have you ever thought about the consequences if our operation fails after we take action?"
Once Wesley decided to confront Rowdy head-on, there would be a fierce fight at the banquet.
This matter would not only have a bad impact on Arlington but also bring a lot of trouble to Wesley and Brian.
Wesley certainly wouldn't mind such trouble if he could successfully save Yuna.
But what if their operation failed?
Not only would Brian and Wesley get themselves into trouble, but also Yuna would suffer miserably.
It seemed that it was too hasty to decide to take action immediately.
Brian and Wesley were well aware of the pros and cons.
Wesley just couldn't convince himself to give up the opportunity in front of him, let alone do nothing.
"Brian, Wesley, we can't rush it." Rolando looked very calm and said slowly, "We should take our time to think about it and make a proper plan. Not only will we not miss this opportunity, but also we and Yuna will be safe."
Brian and Wesley both knew that Rolando's suggestion was the wisest choice.
The reason why Brian did not say it out loud was that he knew Wesley too well.
Wesley must be struggling to decide if he should gamble on everything and try his best to seize this opportunity. As long as he could save Yuna, he could lose everything.
If Wesley still wanted to go all out, it would actually be meaningless for Brian to say the so-called wise choice.
If Wesley could still stay rational and weigh the pros and cons, he would naturally make the same choice as Rolando without the latter's reminder.
Therefore, Brian was just waiting.
He was waiting for Wesley to make a choice.
Wesley knew very well that once he made that so-called wise choice, it meant that he might give up the only chance at present.
He was silent for a long time. Then, he looked up at Rolando.
Chief Taylor arranged for Rolando to come over just to exchange information with Brian.
Rolando could have just let it go.
Since he was here, it meant that he had a plan.
Wesley said slowly, "Rolando, I want to hear your advice first."
"Alas-" Rolando sighed in disappointment. "I knew I had to come on stage."
Rolando knew that Brian and Wesley both had emotional concerns at this time. As an outsider, he was the most suitable person to make plans.
Rolando adjusted his posture and looked at Wesley seriously. "On the day of the banquet, it's not that you can't take action, but that you can't act casually."
Wesley looked at Rolando and motioned for him to continue. "What do you think I should do?"
"It's very simple." Rolando said lightly, "You need to get prepared to take action first. On the day of the banquet, if there is a chance, and you are sure to succeed, don't waste this opportunity. Just take it and bring Yuna back."
Hearing this, Brian faintly reminded Rolando, "You should know clearly what will happen at the scene and what the aftermath will be if we confront Rowdy head-on."
Rolando gave Brian a reassuring look and said, "I know that, of course. But if you're sure that you can save Yuna, we don't have to worry about that. Just leave it to my dad! Of course, you may get into some little trouble, but I believe that you can handle it!"
The other two were speechless.
Brian and Wesley looked at Rolando, and both of their expressions became a little strange.
Rolando didn't expect that they would react so calmly, which was not within his expectations.
Young Master Bell got furious. He slammed on the table and said, "I'm making my dad bear the consequences, not you. Can you give me a response? If you don't play along, how can we cooperate in the future, huh?!"
As soon as Rolando finished speaking, there was a knock on the door. It was neither too fast nor too slow and sounded quite rhythmic.
Rolando had always hated being disturbed, especially when he was in a bad mood.
He almost flipped the table and shouted impatiently, "Who is it?"
Brian glanced at Rolando lightly, and there was already a hint of anger in his voice. "It's my wife. Dare you to shout again?"
"It's Joanne?"
"It's her?" Rolando suddenly became listless and hurriedly said, "Go and open the door! But why were you so mean just now? Do you think you're great to have a wife?"
Brian calmly retorted Rolando. "I'm better than you, a single man." After that, he turned around and walked to the door.
Rolando was stunned by that.
"Do I deserve to be laughed at for being single?
"Wesley is also not married, is he?"
Rolando looked at Wesley in a complicated mood. When he was hesitating about what to say, Wesley had already said first, "Don't look at me. I have a child."
Rolando didn't say anything.
He deeply felt the tragedy of being single.
On the other side, Brian had opened the door.
He was right. It was Joanne outside the door.
Joanne hesitated outside and finally asked Simon to knock on the door for her.
Brian took the tray and looked at Joanne with a frown. "Why didn't you go to rest?"
Joanne pursed her lips and said, "I don't feel uncomfortable now. It's too boring to lie in bed. By the way, have you made a decision?"
"Not yet." Brian rubbed Joanne's head. "I'll tell you at noon."
"Okay, I'll prepare lunch for you!"
Joanne nodded obediently and was about to turn to go downstairs.
"Joanne," Brian stopped Joanne and said firmly, "leave that to the chef. Rolando is not picky. He will eat whatever he gets."
Joanne couldn't help smiling. "I see. I'll leave you to the guys now."
Brian took the coffee back to the study and put the tray on the tea table. "Joanne made it."
Rolando relied heavily on coffee. When he smelled the fragrance, he felt refreshed. He picked up a cup and took a sip. It was almost the same as the coffee he had tasted in the coffee shops abroad.
"Hmm, it tastes so nice." Rolando sighed with satisfaction and patted Brian on the shoulder. "How did you manage to marry such a good wife?"
"It's not about how." Brian said lightly, "It's that the man she married is me."
The implication was that he could marry Joanne because it was him.
There was probably no hope for the others to get Joanne.
"Hey!" Rolando looked at Brian contemptuously. "Anyway, she is already yours. You can say whatever you want."
Brian glanced at Rolando and said, "Get to the point."
Rolando took another sip of coffee and looked at Wesley.
He had said what he needed to say, and the key point now was Wesley.
If Wesley did not make a decision, what they talked about would be meaningless.
Brian also picked up the coffee and looked at Wesley.
This decision was related to what happened to Wesley next, so he had to wait patiently.
Wesley slightly lowered his eyes. It was unknown what he was thinking.
After a long time, he slowly raised his head and said, "Rolando, we'll do as you say."
Rolando was stunned for a long time before he dared to believe that Wesley had really decided to listen to him.
He sighed again, pulled up his coat, put on a very handsome posture, and said, "This can only mean one thing- in terms of intelligence, I'm very likely to crush you!"
Brian and Wesley tacitly ignored Rolando and continued to discuss some details.
Rolando looked at the two people sitting on both sides of him and could not help complaining, "You have no sense of humor!"
In fact, he didn't know that Brian and Wesley had already thought of his so-called most rational choice. But for various reasons, one of them didn't want to say, and the other couldn't.
Rolando's role here was very subtle. He just acted as a spokesperson and urged Wesley to make this choice.
Now, Wesley had made his choice.
Rolando's mission was complete.
While Brian and the others were discussing the details, Joanne was busy in the kitchen downstairs.
She had heard that Brian did not allow her to work lest she would catch a cold, but she still wanted to cook a few dishes for Wesley and Rolando, who had rarely come here.
The chef cleaned and prepared the ingredients, and Joanne was only in charge of cooking them.
When all the dishes were done, the soup in the pot boiled and emitted a strong fragrance, which gradually filled the whole kitchen.
The chef couldn't help sighing. "Mrs. Lambert, since you married Mr. Lambert, it seems that we no longer need to do our job."
Simon smiled and checked the time. It was just the right time for lunch. He said, "I'll go up and call Mr. Lambert and Mr. Wesley."
Joanne didn't know if Brian had finished talking with Wesley, so she stopped Simon and said, "I'll go."
She took off her apron and handed it to Simon before she walked out of the kitchen.
At this time, Brian and Wesley upstairs had just finished talking.
Rolando stood up and stretched. "I'm so hungry, Mr. Brian. Are you going to entertain me?"
Brian looked at the clock on the wall. By then, the chef should have prepared lunch.
He then stood up and said, "Let's go downstairs to eat."
Wesley didn't move and suddenly said, "I want to go and see Aiden and Romy first."
Before Brian could speak, Rolando had come over and asked, "Who are Aiden and Romy?" Then, he suddenly recalled that Brian had already been a father and asked, "Brian, are they your legendary twins?"
