Chapter 1166 - A Strong Skill (2)

Dolly knew that Wendy was so smart that she must have guessed what she was going to say.

She was surprised by Wendy's calmness.

She still remembered that when she initially talked to Wendy about this matter, Wendy reacted greatly, almost crying into a tearful person.

But now, Wendy's reaction was calm and collected, obviously having accepted that which she was about to say.

That's good, she has one less thing to worry about.

The boulder on Dolly's heart finally fell to the ground, she breathed a sigh of relief and slowly said, "Wendy, I'll go back to Australia tomorrow and go through the divorce procedure with your father."

"..."

Wendy had long guessed that Dolly was going to say this to her, but when she heard it with her own ears, her breathing still inevitably stopped for a moment.

Her mom and dad are getting a divorce, and the family she's lived in for over twenty years is falling apart.

From this moment on, she never had a complete home again.

She had cried about it, but she wasn't a teenager under the age of eighteen anymore, and some changes in her life, even if she couldn't accept them, would still happen when they were supposed to.

Just like the matter of Dolly wanting to divorce Conor, even if she doesn't want to, Dolly and Conor won't care about her feelings anymore.

She's a grown woman, and her parents think that there are some things that she should learn to digest on her own.

And she does get to digest all the good and bad, her mom and dad can rest easy ...

Despite thinking so, Wendy could not restrain her eyes from reddening.

Thankfully, she has also learned to control her tears.

Wendy stubbornly held in her tears, her voice as usual, and nodded her head, "Okay, I know. Mom, thank you for telling me."

Dolly knew that no matter what, Wendy was ultimately sad in her heart.

She hugged Wendy and softly apologized to her, "Wendy, I'm sorry, your father and I, had to do it."

"It's okay, I understand." Wendy hardened a smile, "Mom, I've grown up, I respect you and dad's final decision, and I'll take care of myself, you don't have to worry about me."

"With your words, mom is relieved." Dolly stroked Wendy's back, "Wendy, mom believes in you."

"Uh-huh!"

This sound, Wendy was very hard, as if she wanted to use this way to tell Su Yun Kim - she was fine.

Dolly let go of Wendy, looked at Gavin, and urged, "Gavin, help us take care of Wendy."

Gavin nodded, and there was a touch of reassuring certainty in his tone, "I will."

Dolly finally completely put her heart down and smiled, "You guys have a good rest, I'll leave first."

Wendy suddenly reacted, wiped the tears from her eyes and jogged two steps to keep up with Su Yun Kim's pace, "Mom, I'll see you off."

Dolly did not refuse, letting Wendy hold her hand as mother and daughter walked out of the suite together.

Only after entering the elevator did Dolly slowly ask, "Wendy, is there something else you want to say to me? If you are trying to persuade me ..."

Without waiting for Dolly to finish, Wendy smiled and shook her head, "Mom, you've misunderstood, I really support you and dad's decision, you guys carry out your own decision despite yourselves, I won't try to undo anything."

Dolly looked at Wendy, as if she didn't heaven believe her words, and confirmed, "Really?"

"Well, really!" Wendy nodded her head vigorously, "I figured it out, even if you and dad get divorced, you guys are still my mom and dad, you guys still love me as much as before, to me, most things won't change much because you guys get divorced, you guys aren't upset, so what's there for me to be upset about? Besides, it's one of those unexpected situations in life that I have to learn to accept and deal with!"

The elevator doors slid open slowly just in time.

Dolly walked out with Wendy and said with relief, "Wendy, you've really grown up."

The former Wendy, far from being so understanding, was only all stubborn.

Once something happened that was contrary to her wishes, she only had the trick of stubbornly insisting on it.

But now, there are many things that she can not only look away from, but also maturely think away from.

This was a big step forward for Wendy.

Dolly was relieved.

Dolly had always been very strict with Wendy, and only on rare occasions would she praise Wendy.

Now being praised by her like this, Wendy in turn was a little uncomfortable, biting her scarlet lips and looking at Su Yun Kim in embarrassment.

Dolly smiled and continued, "I should thank Gavin for this."

Although Wendy is married to Gavin, and couples should not be divided into what you and I, however, there are some things that she still does not want Gavin to take advantage of!

She skimmed her lips, a touch of reluctance jumping between her brows, "Mom, what does it have to do with Gavin if I've made progress?"

"Because it was Gavin who taught you to grow up." Dolly still smiles, "Wendy, if there was no Gavin, you would probably still only use stubbornness to solve problems until now."

Wendy rubbed the tip of her nose in thought, and very reluctantly realized that Su Yun Kim was right.

Because she fell in love with Gavin, she grew up overnight and learned to hold back and hide her feelings.

Because Koshikawa is sick, she learns to handle things in a calm and collected manner.

Because of her marriage to Koshikawa, she began to adapt to another identity and learn how to be a qualified wife.

Although it seems that the results of the last item are not too obvious now, the signs of her growth along the way do all have Gavin's imprint.

Well, this ... can't explain it any better.

Wendy simply shrugged, "Who told him to marry me, it's his obligation!"

"You ah--" Dolly shook her head and looked at Wendy helplessly, "are relying on Gavin to favor you!"

"Hehehe!" Wendy laughed quaintly and took Su Yun Kim's hand, "Mom, since you and dad are just friends as lovers, after your divorce, you should also hurry up and find someone who spoils you!"

"..."

Dolly didn't say anything, her smile stalled for two seconds, unable to put together a happy look even if she wanted to fake it.

Wendy froze, suddenly realizing - she had said the wrong thing.

She panicked and apologized, "Mom, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned it!"

"It's okay." The smile slowly returned to Dolly's face, "Wendy, after so many years, I've already accepted the fact that Gavin's father passed away, I don't really mind you guys mentioning it."

"... "Wendy looked at Su Yun Kim, her voice soft, "Although you have accepted the truth, however, you are not willing to be with someone else, right?"

"It's not that I'm unwilling, it's that I can't do it anymore." Dolly sighed helplessly, "What can I do? I have loved the best person, there is no way to love anyone else anymore." Saying this, she looked at Wendy, "Wendy, you should understand this feeling, right?"

Wendy froze, then nodded.

Yes, she understood the feeling well.

Gavin inherited his father's disease, and she experienced the same emotions as Dolly.

The difference was that she was luckier, Koshikawa was eventually resuscitated and she didn't lose her lover to the disease.

In those days when she accompanied Gavin to do the treatment again and again, she dreamed countless times that Gavin left her alone, he left her alone and left the world alone, and in the following days, she lived alone for many, many years.

That's right, she didn't choose another lover.

Because she had loved Gavin, because she had loved the best person and had the best love, the door of her heart had been automatically closed and locked, and there was no second person who could walk into her heart.

Dolly's feelings after all these years are the same as hers, right?

Wendy hugged Su Yun Kim and said softly, "Mom, I want you to be happy."

"I will." Dolly smiled, "Wendy, you have to believe that even if I don't have a lover, I can still give myself happiness in my own way."

"Well, I believe you!" Wendy looked at Su Yun Kim with a smiling face, "Mom, never forget that you still have me and Gavin!"

The smile on Dolly's face became even more pronounced as she nodded, "Mom will always remember."

Dolly and Wendy have already walked to the entrance of the hospitalization building.

Dolly let go of Wendy's hand, looked at her and said, "Alright, you go back to accompany Gavin. I have an early morning flight tomorrow to return to Australia, I won't be able to visit you guys for a few days, so pay more attention and make sure to call me if anything happens."

"I remember." Wendy was still smiling, "But, surely nothing will happen. Mom, don't worry about handling your own affairs, we'll wait for you to come back!"

Dolly didn't say anything else, walked to the parking lot and got in her car to leave the hospital.

Wendy also turned back and headed for the suite.

Inside the suite, Gavin realized that he could no longer look at the documents at all, but instead glanced at the door of the room from time to time, wondering to see when Wendy would be back.

Ten minutes later, Wendy finally pushed open the door to her room and returned from outside with a bounce.

Gavin lifted the quilt almost by reflex,"Wendy, how are you?"

Wendy spread her hands and instead looked at Gavin strangely, "I'm fine, why are you asking?"

Gavin didn't quite believe Wendy's words and carefully sized her up, but found that Wendy didn't seem to be lying.

Her eyes were no longer holding tears, and she had a huge smile on her face instead.

This time, it shouldn't have anything to do with her heartlessness.

Regarding Dolly and Conor's divorce, the little girl really wanted to open up.

Gavin also sighed in relief and stretched out his hand towards Wendy, "Come over to my side."

Wendy became even more puzzled and sized up Gavin, "What are you doing?"

"Listen." Gavin did not use a commanding tone, instead, he very gently coaxed Wendy, "Come here, I have something to say to you."

Wendy cocked her head and thought, "Okay."

She bounced towards Gavin, not expecting that as soon as she got close, she was clutched by his hand and her whole body was pulled into his arms.

Wendy was already not sad, but, feeling the warmth of Gavin's embrace, her eyes were suddenly a little red again ...
