Dangerous?
Yuna really didn't react, and sought those two words over and over again several times before finally understanding what Milo meant-
In some ways, Rowdy and Wesley are extremely similar.
For example, their enemies are probably no less than anyone else.
They are on high alert whenever they step out of the house, especially when they are in the car.
Once a person is confined to a compartment, their space to move around becomes very limited and they can easily be targeted from a high point outside.
If you are not careful, you risk spilling blood and giving your life away.
Just now, Yuna lowered the car window like that, if someone outside was aiming at Rowdy, she was tantamount to helping the other party and pushing Rowdy to his death.
That was why Touko had warned her that her actions just now were too dangerous.
Yuna admitted that it was indeed dangerous.
The most crucial thing was that she didn't want anything to happen to Rowdy at this time.
Because of his childhood upbringing, Rowdy was more alert than the average person, even if someone aimed at him, he would react quickly.
Instead of aiming at him, he may not always get a hit, but he will spook the snake.
Once something happened on the road, Rowdy would definitely turn back.
If Rowdy changed his mind, no matter if it was Yuna or Brian and Wesley's plans, they would all go down the drain.
Taking another step back, Yuna wished that she could personally avenge her grandmother's death.
Even if it wasn't her, it would still be Brian or Wesley to end Rowdy's life.
This matter, Yuna did not want to bother others for the time being.
As Yuna thought about it, the atmosphere in the carriage was already stiff and cold.
Of course, it's all because of her.
It was only logical that she should take on the role of lightening the mood.
Yuna looked at Rowdy and sincerely apologized, "I'm sorry, I didn't control my emotions, it was my negligence just now."
"It's good that it's okay." Rowdy's tone softened quite a bit as he looked at the necklace around Yuna's neck and asked, "Yuna, you mind this a lot, don't you?"
"... "Yuna was like hearing the coldest joke of the century, silent for a moment, not answering but asking, "I thought my reaction was already obvious, so it's not enough?"
"But, Yuna--" Rowdy's words changed, a touch of harshness added to his tone, "If it wasn't for a weak heart, why would you mind so much?"
"Don't say I'm vain, the question now is - you doubt me." Yuna was not so easily diverted, following Rowdy's routine of questioning him, "If you believe me, why would you hang a miniature explosive|bomb around my neck? Have you ever thought about what I would do in case something happens?"
In case something happens and the bomb is not under Rowdy's control, Yuna can only die.
Wesley probably hated her to the bone when he realized she was undercover.
However, Wesley didn't do that to her.
So, with that said, Rowdy's so-called liking and love might just be words.
Rowdy also knew that accidents could happen at any time.
However, compared to the accident, she was more afraid that Yuna would be snatched back by Wesley.
This means of defense, although somewhat extreme, is the method that can best guarantee that Yuna will not fall into the hands of Wesley.
He had to do it.
Despite thinking so, Rowdy still didn't dare to face Yuna directly.
He avoided Yuna's line of sight, his movements clearly permeated with emptiness, but his voice was all cold and hard,"As long as you stay by my side all the time, as long as there aren't any accidents at the cocktail party, you'll be absolutely fine, and there won't be any accidents!"
Yuna knew that Rowdy was warning her.
What he meant was that she should not go close to Brian and Wesley, and even more so, she should not act rashly.
Otherwise, what awaited her was a nightmare - much more than just death.
Even if she didn't fear death and torture, for the sake of the child in her belly, tonight, she had to be cautious again and again.
What she had to know, however, was that at a time like this, she could never remain silent.
To Conrad City, silence is a form of weakness.
She must say something.
Yuna bottomed out, the smile at the corner of his lips a few points colder, his voice mixed with a complex and difficult to understand emotion, "I know."
Rowdy could hear that in addition to anger, there was also deep disappointment in Yuna's voice.
But he wasn't going to explain, let alone change that.
After tonight, as long as Yuna didn't have any abnormalities, in the future, he would never be defensive towards her again, and she could make whatever compensation she wanted.
But definitely not before tonight.
Yuna clutched the necklace pendant on her collarbone, knowing very well in her heart that it was impossible for this thing to be detached from her neck before tomorrow came, and that the threat to her life was with her like a shadow.
Rowdy has already hardened his heart, if he can't get her, he must destroy her.
She mustn't do anything rash.
In such a situation, if Brian and Wesley were also unable to do anything, tonight, she could only retreat and find a way to transfer the collected information first.
Speaking of that information, Yuna felt vaguely strange again in his heart.
Rowdy is so vigilant, knowing that she will meet Brian and Joanne couple tonight, when she went out, he surprisingly didn't search her at all, not to mention didn't ask her to go through any inspection equipment.
He can't be forgetting.
What Yuna was curious about now was whether Rowdy had other means, or whether he wanted to keep an eye on her at all times at the reception site?
However, whatever Rowdy was planning to do, it was useless.
You know, she was the best at keeping little things to herself, whether by hand or by machine, and as long as she didn't want to, they couldn't possibly find out her secrets.
The problem now was, how was she going to give this information to Joanne when she arrived at the reception?
She needed to get out of Rowdy's line of sight and have a few minutes alone with Joanne before she could transfer the information.
But who could buy her those few minutes?
Since her grandmother's death, Yuna's mind was only on the matter of revenge, and she rarely helped Rowdy on missions anymore.
She's been out of blood and violence for too long, and today she's about to find her old, fearless self in a flash.
Yuna was purely lying when he said he wasn't nervous.
She knew better than anyone else that even if she couldn't completely get rid of Rowdy's control today, tonight's action was about her future fate.
She wanted to get out of the dragon's den, she wanted to have the baby, and tonight, she had to do everything right.
She'd been through so many intense battles that she shouldn't have much trouble improvising tonight.
The car was extremely soundproof, and at this point, there was only silence in the compartment.
Rowdy ghostly inclined his head to look at Yuna, she pursed her lips and looked outside, her eyebrows slightly drooping down, but her gaze was still permeated with the sternness and vigilance that a trained person should have.
Yuna looked like she was in silence, her whole person presented a state of letting go, but Rowdy knew that her inner thoughts were never as simple as the surface.
But, looking at it like that, it's not much to look at.
Yuna didn't reveal any traces, Rowdy didn't raise any suspicion, he looked at the road outside and calculated that it shouldn't be far from the hotel.
Unsurprisingly, five minutes later, the black Land Rover pulled up in front of a grandly decorated hotel.
Five-star hotel, a grand and high-profile building, imposing stand in the middle of the downtown, but it is difficult to pick a very quiet location, coupled with the garden outside, this is just like a paradise in the center of the downtown area.
The lighting effects outside the hotel were obviously well-designed, with warm and bright lights that made the whole hotel flow and look grand.
The hotel adapted student saw a car stop, busy ran over to pull open the car door, made a "please" gesture to Yuna inside, and said politely, "Ma'am, welcome to our hotel."
Rowdy had already gotten out of the car from the other side of the door and walked over, signaling Yuna to take his hand.
On this kind of occasion, Yuna didn't want to bother with Rowdy about what had just happened.
She glanced at Rowdy and finally took his hand.
Rowdy lowered his voice just enough so that only he and Yuna could hear and asked, "Nervous?"
Yuna felt that Rowdy's question was strange, and smiled in disbelief, "What's there to be nervous about?"
"It's right not to be nervous." Rowdy also smiled and said meaningfully, "There are a lot of our people at the reception, not just me, they will protect you as well."
Yuna's heart chilled, but it was only for a second, she immediately reacted and said with a smile, "That makes me feel relieved."
The smile at the corner of Rowdy's lips became deeper, he turned to take Yuna's waist, and the two of them immediately presented a very intimate state, and entered the reception site together.
Five minutes later, a black sedan pulled up in front of the hotel.
The hotel manager recognized the license plate number at a glance and hurriedly greeted them, opening the car door with the waiter on one side.
Afterward, Brian and Joanne got down from the car.
The manager smiled so much that he could barely keep his mouth shut and said, "Mr. Lambert, it is truly an honor for you to attend our reception! Tonight, we can fulfill any request you and Mrs. Lambert have, I'll bring you in!"
"Thanks."
Brian is very gentlemanly to outsiders, but not intimate.
He walked over to Joanne, who almost naturally took his hand, and the two of them walked into the reception together.
Brian has a miniature earphone in his ear, and a rice-sized walkie-talkie is sewn on the inside of his pocket towel, and he motionlessly swept around the entire reception site, and was about to ask something when Wesley's voice came out of his ear:
"Rowdy and Yuna have already arrived, and if I'm not mistaken, they should be going through the security check."
Brian's brows furrowed slightly, "The security check, isn't it affecting Yuna?"
"That's right." Wesley said, "That's why I need you to come up with a plan."
