Chapter 1257 Watching Yuna Die

Rowdy had never seen Emily sick before.

He admitted that his first reaction was one of utter panic.

He had promised Emily's mother that he would let Emily grow up healthy and carefree and would not let Emily get involved in his affairs.

Now, not only did he fail to keep the promise he made, he also failed to take care of Emily.

He had already owed Mu's while mother, causing her to leave this world in her best years, could it be that now, he still wanted to apologize to her?

Rowdy felt that there was something blocking his chest, for a while, he could not breathe, and his mind was messy.

Milo followed Rowdy in, seeing Emily curled up on the bed like this, he was inevitably distressed, looking at Rowdy with difficulty, pondering what to say.

But before he could speak, Conrad City suddenly burst out--

"Where is Dr. He!" Rowdy looked angrily at the servant standing fearfully outside the door and roared, "Didn't I explain that he should keep an eye on Emily?"

The maid walked in and explained in a trembling voice, "Dr. He actually came, but, Emily wouldn't let him into the room ..."

"... Tell him to come over within ten minutes!" Rowdy smashed his fist through Emily's nightstand with a "bang" and said through clenched teeth, "Otherwise, he'll never have to come!"

Although Yuna couldn't catch Rowdy's emotions, she had never seen Rowdy angry, and she realized that when Rowdy got angry, it was so scary.

She was a little scared, but deep down, she longed to be close to Rowdy.

She struggled a bit, but walked into the room and stood next to Consuelo, trying to calm him down.

As it turned out, she still overestimated her position in Rowdy's heart.

Before she had a chance to speak, Rowdy glanced at her and said coldly, "There's nothing for you here, go back to your room and stay there."

Yuna cowered for a moment, but in the end she didn't dare to say anything and obediently answered, "Good."

Milo then followed Yuna out, leaving only Rowdy in the room, and Emily, who was pretending to sleep with his eyes closed.

Rowdy walked over to the bedside and looked at Emily, "Everyone else has left, you can open your eyes now."

Mu pouted her lips and reluctantly opened her eyes and looked at Rowdy.

Rowdy's gaze was temperatureless, and his voice was cold as he warned, "Emily, you're hurting yourself."

"I want to see Auntie Yuna." Emily didn't even care what Rowdy said, gripping one corner of the pillow, her gaze so firm that it was almost stubborn, "Daddy, if I never see Auntie Yuna again, I'll hate you!"

"Emily, where is Yuna her ... so good that she deserves you to rely on her so much?"

Rowdy looked at Emily, his gaze filled with incomprehension.

At this moment, he didn't know if he was asking himself or Emily.

However, this wasn't a problem for Emily at all.

The little guy blinked his eyes, looked at Rowdy fixedly, and said seriously, "I haven't seen my mommy, but, I think Auntie Yuna is even better than my mommy." After a pause, he continued, "If I can, I hope to live with Auntie Yuna forever."

"..."

Rowdy has never thought of living with Yuna forever, but ...

Rowdy didn't think any further, his hands quietly clenched, gritting his teeth, "You don't need to think any further, Yuna doesn't have this kind of idea at all! She only wants to return to Wesley's side, she doesn't want to accompany you at all!"

He wanted to convince Emily not to have any more illusions about Yuna.

But Mu's thoughts were on a completely different track-

"If going back to Uncle Hayes can make Auntie Yuna happy ...," Mu didn't hesitate, "I can let her go back, I can not live with her!"

Rowdy frowned and couldn't help but ask, "Why?"

When you like something, you have to buy it back or find a way to take it for yourself.

Isn't it the same when you like someone?

If the one he liked wasn't by his side, but was tossing and turning under another, even if she was happy, what did it mean to him?

Emily didn't answer Rowdy's question and spoke in a tone that became very disappointed, "Daddy, you don't know how to love someone at all."

"... "Rowdy looked at Emily with an obscure gaze, but ultimately said nothing.

Emily was relaxed and continued as if nothing had happened, "I want to see Auntie Yuna, if you don't promise me, I won't eat even if I starve to death!"

Rowdy had wanted to convince Emily to forget about Yuna, but Emily had circled back to the topic in a few words.

Rowdy had a bit of a headache, but he didn't know how to respond.

Just then, Dr. Ho arrived.

Dr. He knew that Emily might need him at any moment, so he didn't go far and kept hanging around.

As soon as Emily saw Dr. He, she immediately got under the covers and protested loudly, "I don't want an injection, I want to see Auntie Yuna, I want Auntie Yuna!"

Dr. He looked at Rowdy with difficulty, "What should we do?"

Rowdy frowned and walked over to the bedside and directly pressed down on Emily to prevent him from moving, turning back to order Dr. He, "Give him a nutritional injection!"

"I don't want it!" Mu cried, struggling up, "Let go of me, let go of me!"

Kent Rui had been ruthless, no matter how much Emily struggled and cried, he didn't let go of Emily while ordering Dr. He, "Hurry up!"

Emily had an idea, bit on Rowdy's arm, Rowdy let go of him in pain, he naturally broke free smoothly, tumbled down from the bed, and ran into the bathroom to unlock the door in a puff of smoke.

His movements were too fast for Rowdy to react.

In the end, Rowdy couldn't even care about the teeth marks on his hands and angrily walked over and knocked on the door, "Emily, open the door!"

Emily crossed her arms inside the bathroom with an equally forceful air, "I don't want it!"

Rowdy's patience was wearing thin and knocked twice more, threatening, "Don't think that there's nothing I can do if you lock the door behind you!"

"Don't think that just because you can open the door, there's nothing I can do!" Mu dragged over a shelf to block the door and ran to the window herself, stepping on the bathtub to climb up to the window, "If you dare to come in I'll jump off!"

Milo was downstairs in the courtyard, just in time to see Emily poking his head out, startled, and hurriedly shouted, "Emily, don't!"

The other henchmen also saw Emily, and for a while, those who went to move things moved things, while others came over and pulled their hands into a net, ready to catch Emily.

Milo ran up to the second floor like a gust of wind, not being able to catch his breath, directly pulling Rowdy who was ready to kick the door,"Brother Rowdy, Emily is above the window, don't be impulsive!"

Rowdy's movements lurched, and only then did he realize that there was really nothing he could do with Emily.

Milo knocked on the door and tried to persuade Emily, "Emily, don't hurt yourself. If you have any problems, come out and talk to your daddy face to face, okay?"

"I don't have a problem, I'm just looking for Auntie Yuna!" Mu said, "If you guys promise me, I'll go out!"

"... "Milo really had no choice and looked at Rowdy, "Brother Rowdy ..."

Rowdy remembered Emily's words just now - if Emily could never see Yuna again, he would hate him.

This child held too many expectations for Yuna.

Rowdy felt that what he should do now was not to stop Emily from seeing Yuna, but to pinch off Emily's expectations of Yuna.

If he watched Yuna die with his own eyes, in the future, Mu wouldn't be able to hold onto Xu You, right?

Rowdy raised his eyes and said to Emily inside the door, "I promise to send you to see Auntie Yuna."

Milo looked at Rowdy unexpectedly, "Brother Rowdy?" This decision, it's a bit hasty!

Mu Si was looking for Yuna's location, if they sent Emily over at this time, if Wesley found out, it would be tantamount to guiding Mu Si to find Yuna.

Rowdy was a cautious man, there was no way he would allow this to happen.

Milo wanted to say something, but before he could, Rowdy raised his hand, signaling that he didn't need to say anything.

Rowdy continued to coax Emily inside the bathroom, "I'm true to my word, others can prove it for you, can you come out now?"

Mu slid down from the window and opened a crack in the door to look at Rowdy, "Are you telling the truth?"

Rowdy nodded, "Of course it's true. However, you have to go down to eat first."

Emily obviously had little trust in Rowdy and stared at him suspiciously, "What if you're lying to me?"

"Where did you get so many questions?" Rowdy frowned unhappily and looked at Emily, "Say any more and I'll change my mind immediately."

"..."

Regardless of whether Rowdy was lying or not, this was an opportunity for Emily, and there was at least a fifty percent chance that he could meet Yuna.

Mu was willing to gamble once.

The little fellow immediately pulled open the door and ran out, moving a little hastily, so that only after two steps he went black before his eyes, and his little body just collapsed on the floor.

"Emily!" Rowdy reacted quickly and immediately picked Emily up, looked to Uncle Nelson and yelled, "What are you waiting for, come and take a look!"

"Should have fainted from lack of stamina." Uncle Nelson walked over and lifted the covers, "Put him on the bed|first."

With this dizziness, Mu slept for more than two hours before waking up, and it was already almost dark.

Someone had fed him water, his lips weren't so dry and happy anymore, and with a needle in his hand, nutrient solution was being infused into him a little at a time.

Rowdy had been sitting by the bedside to keep watch, and when he saw Emily open his eyes, he immediately called for the porridge to be brought over and had it fed to Emily.

Emily just took a sip of water, pushed away the porridge that had been brought to his lips, and looked at Rowdy and asked, "Daddy, do the words you just said still count?"

"..."

Rowdy's mood was a little complicated.

He finally realized just how much Mu didn't trust him.

No matter how successful he was in other areas, he undoubtedly failed as a father.

But it was no wonder, perhaps, that he had never been a proper father.

Otherwise, Emily wouldn't have relied on Yuna so much but refused to give him half of her trust.
