Chapter 1358: Unmoving Match (2)

Joanne felt that if she stayed any longer, Daisy would be sold by her sooner or later.

She decided to go home.

Brian had something else to do in the afternoon, so he didn't keep Joanne and sent her downstairs.

Winston parked his car in front of the company and when he saw Brian and Joanne come out, he was not in a hurry to get out of the car.

According to his usual experience, Brian and Joanne would have to get tired of each other for a while anyways.

Joanne saw the car, turned around and stopped, signaling Brian to go back, "No need to send, Winston is waiting for me."

Brian looked at Joanne as if he didn't hear her words, "Don't mind me, you get in the car first."

Joanne pursed her lips and smiled, deliberately flirting, "We're already an 'old married couple', we don't need to come to this trick, right?"

Brian didn't care what old married couple, nor did he care that this was the company's main entrance, he lowered his head and kissed Joanne,"Be obedient."

A few interns came back from outside after lunch, saw Brian and Joanne, curiously stopped to look and covered their mouths again and ran all the way away.

The intern had probably never seen Brian like this.

Joanne did not expect Brian to come this way, her face "swish" red, at a loss for words, looking at Brian.

Brian raised his eyebrows and threatened Joanne with great pleasure,"Do you want to continue?"

Just, no, think!

Joanne decisively covered her mouth and fled to the car, letting Winston drive.

Brian watched Joanne's car disappear out of sight before he turned around and headed back to the office.

By this time, Lu's internal chat group had exploded.

The receptionist and the interns all sent a message to the group, announcing that Brian and Joanne kissed in front of the company, with full sweetness and envy!

Daisy slyly came out to join in the fun, "Normal. If I were a man, I wouldn't be able to help it!"

A bunch of people in the employee group were discussing heatedly, but only Aunt Nyla hadn't made a sound.

Although no one in the group said, but, she knows if she does not do something, she and Brian's "scandal", will not break.

Joanne, ignorant of everything, just returned to Dingya Lodge.

Iris hadn't left yet and was in the living room playing with the two little ones.

Joanne changed her shoes and walked in, picking up little Romy and kissing her, "Baby, is the porridge at noon good?"

Little Romy blinked her big clear and clean eyes, her soft hands cupped Joanne's face and kissed Joanne as well.

Joanne knew that this was probably just Romy's subconscious reaction.

Still, she was more than willing to believe that Romy was telling her that the congee at noon was delicious.

Iris said laughingly, "All ate and cried."

The confidence that Joanne had just built up in her heart was shattered in an instant, looking at Iris unexpectedly, "Why are you crying? Does it taste bad, or are they not used to eating it?"

"Neither." Iris smiled mysteriously, "I was afraid they wouldn't be able to digest it, and fed it very slowly, but Romy didn't agree, and wanted me to keep feeding it on and on to make it work, so it was finished in tears. Oh, when I finally finished eating, Romy even came over to pick at the bowl to look at it, and even Aiden looked at me with a look of anticipation, as if asking me if I had any more."

Joanne breathed a sigh of relief and hugged Little Aiden and kissed him, "Good boy, I'll boil it for you to eat at night."

She went upstairs, put her bag away, changed her clothes, and went back downstairs to find the two little ones.

When Romy saw Joanne from afar, she stretched out her hand and called out in a petulant manner, "Ma Ma--"

Joanne walked over and hugged the little one, "Good boy, mommy is back."

"Uh-huh." Little Romy snuggled into Joanne's arms, grasping Joanne's collar, smiling with extra satisfaction.

Little Aiden also climbed to Joanne's side in three times, he didn't want Joanne to hold him, and obediently sat beside Joanne, holding the bottle to drink.

Iris looked at this scene and thought to herself, if Brian was there, this picture would be perfect.

Thinking of Brian, Iris tentatively asked, "Joanne, you went to the company, how was it?"

Joanne didn't think that Iris was deliberately calling her to the company, and even more so, Iris's question was a test.

She smiled and said succinctly, "Brian was a bit busy, so I came back first."

"Oh ...," Iris nodded and asked after him as if he didn't mean to, "There's nothing else, is there?"

"No." Joanne shook her head and looked at Iris curiously, "Mom, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing, I casually asked." Iris didn't move and smiled, powdering her nose, "It's good that it's nothing."

What the old lady is most afraid of now is in case something happens to Brian and Joanne.

The fact that they're okay is the best thing.

In the evening after seven o'clock, Brian came back from the company, Joanne and Iris happened to be feeding the two little ones congee.

Romy holding a bottle of milk to drink water, when bored, smashed the bottle of water on the ground to play a couple of times, but his eyes are firmly fixed on the bowl in Joanne's hand, "wow wow wow" screaming, wanting Joanne to feed her.

In comparison, Aiden was much more civilized, Iris fed him a mouthful, he obediently ate a mouthful, chewing and swallowing slowly, living like a little gentleman.

When Iris signaled him to open his mouth, he obediently opened his mouth for Iris to check if he had swallowed the porridge.

Iris happily touched Little Aiden's face, "Our Aiden is so good!"

On the other side, Romy made a strong effort to pick at Joanne's hand, staring at the bowl in Joanne's hand, it was as if she wanted to jump headfirst into the bowl, letting out a contented sigh as she ate.

Joanne looked at the two little ones and suddenly felt a sense of accomplishment.

If at this time, Brian offered to let her stay home full time with the two little ones, she thought that she would not refuse.

A little later, after the adults had finished dinner as well, Iris left and Brian played with the two little ones in his room.

Joanne came out of the gym after doing yoga just in time to hear the doorbell ring.

But who could it be at this late hour?

Simon was more alert, signaling Joanne not to go out and said, "I'll go take a look first."

Joanne nodded and poured herself a glass of water, "Good."

She finished half a glass of water when she saw Simon leading Aunt Nyla in.

Aunt Nyla knew when she came here that it was inevitable that she would come here and run into Joanne.

In fact, she actually stored a little bit of selfishness to come and see Joanne.

The first time she saw Joanne, Aunt Nyla quickly sized Joanne up.

The Joanne in front of her was not quite the same as she had imagined.

For a time, Aunt Nyla thought that women who stayed home with their children could only be unkempt, with unkempt hair and little image to speak of, and couldn't possibly have the sophistication and resourcefulness of their workplace counterparts.

But Joanne proved with facts that she was wrong, and very wrong.

Joanne was dressed in a simple and elegant housecoat without any fancy accessories, thus looking exceptionally high-class.

Her hair was meticulously groomed without a hint of frizz, and her whole person seemed extra gentle because of it.

She wore no makeup, and in her veiled state, her skin was fair and clear, with a warm, hydrated glow, and her face was flushed and natural.

Aunt Nyla suddenly felt that the Creator fabricated Joanne just to tell the world what it means to be a proud daughter of heaven, what it means to be naturally to pure beauty.

She wore exquisite makeup and came with a fighting mindset, in order to achieve nothing more than this effect of Joanne's plain face.

This "competition" has not even begun, Aunt Nyla felt that she has already lost.

Aunt Nyla's bottom disappeared quite a bit, and greeted Joanne in a regular manner, "Good evening, ma'am."

"Hello, Secretary York." Joanne smiles, "You're here to see Brian?"

"Ah, yes." Aunt Nyla handed over a document, "This ... was supposed to be something Assistant Qin was going to send over to Mr. Lambert, but Assistant Qin had some temporary business, so I sent it over for him. By the way, where is Mr. Lambert?"

"It's upstairs." Joanne had no intention of inviting Aunt Nyla upstairs, pointing to the sofa in the living room, "You've had a hard run, sit down and rest for a while. Oh yeah, do you like water or drinks?"

"Water." Compared to Joanne's calm and comfortable, Aunt Nyla was already a bit unsteady, taking the warm water handed by Joanne, "Thank you."

"You're welcome." Joanne sat down opposite Aunt Nyla and looked at Aunt Nyla, "Other than delivering this document, does Secretary York have anything else?"

"Oh, nothing much." After thinking about it, Aunt Nyla still put a delicate handbag on the coffee table, "This is a small cookie I baked during my weekend off, I want to give some to you guys to try, I hope you like it."

Aunt Nyla just wanted to tell Brian that there are far more women who can cook than just Joanne.

And she will.

Moreover, she didn't do any worse than Joanne.

Joanne of course didn't notice Aunt Nyla's hidden little thoughts, took the cookies and smiled, "Thank you."

Aunt Nyla didn't dare to offer to meet Brian.

Because she knows that Joanne is not that easy to deal with, and at this time of the year, it is impossible for Joanne to let her go to see Brian, unless she has some serious work excuse.

In the end, Aunt Nyla gave up on making excuses and stood up, saying, "Ma'am, then I'll go back first."

"I'll give you a ride." Joanne asked very thoughtfully, "How did you get here?"

"I ... "Aunt Nyla said with some embarrassment, "My car was sent for maintenance, so I came here by taxi."

She did it on purpose.

She purposely took a taxi over, if Brian was willing to send her back, then on the way, she would have the opportunity to get even closer to Brian.

Unexpectedly, the plan was actually intercepted by Joanne.

Joanne still didn't think much about it, simply considering for Aunt Nyla, said, "This is a suburb, it's not very convenient to take a taxi, and you'll have to wait for a long time for an appointment, so I'll ask the driver to give you a ride."

After thinking about it, Aunt Nyla didn't refuse and picked up her bag to say goodbye.

Joanne politely sent Aunt Nyla out, and at the end, she turned around to go back to the living room, and as soon as she looked up, she saw Brian with a light smile on his face.

He stood on the stairs and looked at her with a very satisfied gaze, as if he was appreciating Joanne.

Joanne approached Brian step by step, "How long have you been watching the play?"
