Chapter 211 Confession of Chris (1)

At the end of this competition, Freya's achievement was still quite great, ranking first steadily.

Candy was quite satisfied with her performance. After the media interview, she patted Freya on the shoulder and said, "Tonight, you can go anywhere you want to celebrate!"

"Forget it," Freya learned lessons from last time, and said, "some things are enough to go through once. Send me home. We can celebrate until I win the championship."

Candy looked around. "By the way... Where is Chris? He just showed up."

Freya clenched her cell phone and said proudly, "Who cares about him!"

In fact, she also wanted to know where Chris went, but she refused to call him.

She was rejected by him indifferently once last week. It was enough!

How could Candy not know that Freya affected indifference? But it was a virtue not to speak out even if she saw it through. She opened the door and pushed Freya to sit on, "Then I'll send you back to your apartment."

When the black business car reached a side road and was about to turn, a car suddenly rushed out and blocked their way.

"Squeak-"

"Squeak-"

Two screeching braking sounds rang almost at the same time, and Candy and Freya almost fell because of inertia.

Candy slapped on the steering wheel. "Damn it! Can you drive? Can Rolls-Royce run so amuck?"

She rolled up her sleeves and was about to get out of the car to argue. Suddenly, the door of Rolls-Royce's driver's seat opened. She uttered an "eh" and silently opened the central locking.

Freya in the back seat couldn't see the situation clearly, and she just wanted to make a fuss. "Candy, go down and get him! Daring to stand in your way, he's bored of this life."

Candy just coughed.

Freya still did not know what the situation was. Suddenly, the door was pulled open from the outside, and the cold wind whistled in.

Thinking that they met highwaymen, she subconsciously shrank into the car but was caught by a hand that came through the door.

The familiar touch made Freya instantly reflect who he was.

"Chris!" She looked at him incredibly. "What are you doing?"

"Get off!"

Finishing saying, Chris pulled Freya out without any explanation.

Seeing that she was about to be dragged down, Freya asked Candy for help. "Candy!"

Candy shrugged. After watching Freya go down, she locked the door and waved to her. "Goodbye." And then she started the car and drove it away.

Freya knew that she was a bad friend. After standing firm, she depressingly looked at Chris and said, "What on earth do you want to do?"

During this period, Chris was somewhat strange, sometimes cold and sometimes hot to her, like an abnormal air conditioner that sometimes heated and sometimes cooled. With the frequent exchange between ice and fire, everyone would be sick, okay?

"Come back with me!"

Chris pulled open the door of the passenger seat and stuffed Freya into it. He started the car and drove to the place where he lived.

Freya took a while to react, deliberately took a deep breath, and tightly covered her chest with both hands, "Chris, what are you going to do to me?"

But Chris did not look at her, just said coldly, "Fasten your seat belt."

"Ew," Freya said, "Boring."

But she didn't ask Chris to stop or take her back to her apartment.

Taking advantage of Chris's initiative to come to her, she just had the chance to ask him what on earth he was doing during this period of time.

Chris drove the car back to the underground garage of his apartment and directly went upstairs from the first floor underground.

His apartment was spacious but also cold. Freya looked around and found that it was the same as before without a little feeling of home.

Freya still wore the clothes of the show. Feeling a little cold, she pulled Chris's clothes and said, "Give me your coat."

Chris had already endured a whole night, and suddenly turned to stare at Freya as if to see through her with his eyes.

Freya suddenly felt colder, but she remembered that "people had to try his best, even if he was doomed to failure".

She chested out and said, "What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen such a beautiful woman with such a good figure?"

Chris fiercely pressed Freya against the wall.

Freya gazed at him. "Let me go! We're nothing. How could you do this to me?!"

They were nothing...?

Chris was stunned as if he were hit by something. The anger in his eyes disappeared. He looked at Freya and he looked panicky. "Freya..."

He touched Freya's cheek.

"Pah", Freya ruthlessly shook off Chris's hand. "Don't call me Freya! You want me to go and find someone else before, and now you take me back to your house. What on earth are you going to do? Can you make up your mind? If you can't, then don't mess with me. It's none of your business if I end up with Aaron or Travis!"

Chris's facial expression immediately became frightening. "I told you to stay away from Aaron!"

Freya scornfully smiled and said, "The question is, why I should listen to you? Who are you to me?"

Joanne's words suddenly rang in Chris's mind. "Freya only listens to people close to her, and they are someone who has a very clear relationship with her, such as her good friends, relatives and so on."

If he wanted Freya to listen to him, did he really have to say that sentence first?

"Be my girlfriend." Chris stared at Freya, saying the sentence that Freya had fantasized about countless times without warning.

Freya was stunned.

Without knowing why, she didn't feel any ecstasy at all. Just like when Chris said to her, "We're not impossible", she just thought that Chris was not right.

Without a confession, he wanted to change their relationship directly. What made Chris think she would say yes?

"You've said that to lots of women, haven't you?" Freya said with a smile, "Want to make me one of your exes?"

"Do you still mind that I played cold and hot with you some time ago?"

Chris got to the point. Freya said coldly, "Hum, so what? Who can tolerate you being sometimes cold and sometimes hot?"

"Do you really have no idea?" Chris wished to stick a word "stupid" on Freya's forehead.

"I'm not a mind reader. How can I guess?"

"The revelation of your relationship with Joanne has already aroused controversy," Chris said, "if someone exposes that we're also connected, do you think you will be inundated with rumors and speculation or not?"

Freya was startled for a moment. It took a while for her to understand what Chris meant.

It turned out that Chris was afraid that she would entangle in negative gossip, so he did not have any contact with her in public.

No wonder he refused to send her to the company before the competition started. She asked why, but he just scolded her for being stupid.

No wonder he did not meet her at the backstage when he showed up in the first airing of the competition. Now thinking about it, if Chris went backstage to see her, she must have been pushed out of the circle of other contestants, right? Moreover, Kaylee, who did things to her shoes, might even do something worse to her.

No wonder he didn't celebrate with her. No wonder just now at the television station, he looked around with a look in fear of being spotted.

He took the key to her house, probably just wanted to see her when she came back after the competition.

Freya's voice lowered. "Why didn't you tell me at first?"

"At first, you didn't know the darkness and rules of the circle, so you wouldn't be afraid," Chris said.

Freya was speechless.

Indeed, if Chris told her at first, she would only laugh at Chris's overcautious and indecisiveness. On impulse, she might even take the initiative to speak out her relationship with Chris.

However, she was criticized for having the background just because she got along with Joanne. After that, she finally learned that gossip was fearful.

Everbridge Group was the chief sponsor of Top Model. If it came out that she had a close relationship with Chris, not only her qualifications, but also her current achievements would be questioned.

Even if she could win the championship under questioning, it would be said that her championship was a result of pulling strings. At that time, she would not get fans, but anti-fans.

It was not good for her career development when she was under such questions and public reviews at her debut.

Chris did take consideration for her, but she only thought that he didn't like her so much, thought that he was an abnormal air conditioner which was sometimes cold and sometimes hot.
