Chapter 307 Brian, I Want a Divorce (2)

At 7 o'clock in the evening, Brian's car was parked in front of the Junsheng Hotel.

The doorman greeted him and opened the door for Brian. He said politely, "Mr. Lambert, good evening."

Brian slightly bowed, stepped into the hotel, and followed the waiter to the private room on the 4th floor.

Unexpectedly, Oscar had arrived long ago, and he was the only one in the large private room.

Rosalyn did not show up. Had Gavin made a wrong guess?

In any case, Brian relaxed his vigilance.

"Mr. Lambert, sit." Oscar gestured to the waiter to pour the wine for Brian. The waiter nodded a little, and the delicate goblet was quickly filled with a quarter of the red liquid.

Brian took off his coat and handed it to another waiter. After he was seated, Oscar raised a toast at him. He smiled and sipped his drink to show his courtesy.

Oscar watched him put down his goblet, lifted the glasses, and gave two waiters some money as tip. "You are no longer needed here."

After having worked in that place for a long time, the waiter naturally understood Oscar's meaning. He nodded and gave his thanks, then quickly left.

That move had a deep meaning. Brian shook the red wine in the cup. "What does Mr. Evans want to talk to me about? Is it inconvenient for others to hear?"

Oscar smiled. "I have carefully read the information of Lambert Group. Although the current situation is not very optimistic, I believe in Lambert Group' foundation and Mr. Lambert's strength. This is why I reconsidered to support Lambert Group' loan.

Speaking up to that point, Oscar deliberately paused. Brian clicked his cup to his and sipped the wine, and said slowly, "But you did not sign the loan. What's your concern?"

"I don't have any concerns." Oscar smiled, and the eyes behind the lens looked fierce as he continued, "I just have a request."

Brian stopped shaking the red wine in the cup, and looked at Oscar coldly. "Please say it."

Oscar thought for a moment and stood up. "Mr. Lambert, why don't you talk to Rosalyn."

The door of the private room was suddenly pushed open, and Rosalyn, who came with sunglasses, walked in. Oscar nodded to her and left the private room.

In the elegant and spacious private room, there were only Brian and Rosalyn.

Brian was only slightly surprised. "Miss Rosalyn, what do you want to talk to me about?"

How important is Southern Union Bank's loan to you now? Rosalyn did not answer but asked.

"Very important," Brian bluntly said, "because of the funding problem, Lambert Group' share price has fallen. Many projects have been stalled, and new cooperation can't be discussed... Without that loan, Lambert Group will soon face bankruptcy."

Rosalyn sat down, and stared at Brian with her beautiful eyes for a moment. "I can help you get this loan."

Brian said with an unclear smile. "I know." He paused briefly to say, "what do you want?"

"I want-you!" Rosalyn smiled and bluntly said, "Now you are trapped. What other valuable things do you have except yourself?"

Brian's unfathomable eyes were cold. When he was about to say something, Rosalyn opened her mouth first,

"Don't rush to reject me," Rosalyn lit a cigarette, "I'm not asking you to divorce Joanne. I know that this is impossible. I only need you one night. Tomorrow morning, Southern Union Bank's loan will go to Lambert Group' account."

"...Why did you become like this?" Brian looked at Rosalyn as if he were looking at a poor lost lamb.

At the beginning, he decided to support Rosalyn for her appearance and acting skills, but more because she was different.

At that time, her hard work and persistence made her different compared with other female artists who had just debuted together with her. He once thought that Rosalyn would always remain proud and become a different artist in the chaotic entertainment circle.

But after all, she was dyed in that dyeing tank.

"You don't know why?" Rosalyn smiled bitterly, "Brian, I became like this today, all because of you!"

While talking, Rosalyn suddenly lost control. "Because of you, I am desperate to take work, I even think about the roles when I eat. I honed my acting skills, thinking that when I shine on the international stage, I would be worthy of you. But what about you? You are married, and you tell me that you love that woman!"

Brian looked calm. "I told you at the beginning that there is no possibility between us."

"Ha..." Rosalyn suddenly laughed.

Yes, Brian had clearly told her that she would always be his friend, his company's artist, but-

"But I don't want it!" Rosalyn almost crushed the goblet in her hand, "you don't even give me a chance and you got married. What am I supposed to do?"

Brian had never thought about a relationship with Rosalyn besides being friends. How could he give her a chance? In addition, the unclear attitude was the reason that really hurt and was disrespectful for her.

Brian was about to say something, but looked at the cigarette on Rosalyn's hand and looked at her crazy look; Brian knew that she was not the Rosalyn he first knew.

There was no need to explain it.

He got up and was ready to leave. However, at the moment he stood up, he turned around and felt dizzy without warning.

He subconsciously held the table, so that he did not fall down awkwardly.

He closed his eyes, trying to make himself sober, but the feeling of dizziness was getting more and more serious. His reason and consciousness were being swallowed inch by inch.

He was not sick; how could he suddenly become like that?

Brian looked at Rosalyn with a last effort. She still sat in the chair with her attitude unchanged. It was not unexpected for her to see his sudden situation.

They added something to his wine!

Brian's hands clenched into fists, and the nails fell deeply into the palm of his hand. Only the pain of hurting the skin could keep him awake.

"Rosalyn, what do you want?"

Rosalyn came over and gently supported Brian. Her well-maintained hand touched his face. "Tomorrow Lambert Group will be fine, you can rest assured."

What she wanted to do was self-evident.

Brian looked fierce, she slapped away Rosalyn's hand. Get out!

Rosalyn was pushed back two steps. After standing still, she suddenly laughed and made a phone call. "The drug has kicked in, come in."

Brian guessed who Rosalyn had just called, and saw the knife on the table. The person who entered was exactly Oscar.

Oscar came over and helped him. "Mr. Lambert, let's go."

Brian squinted. In the next second, he had already picked up the knife and pointed to Oscar's throat,"I don't care what you and Rosalyn are up to. Stop now, I can let you go."

"Even if you really dare to kill me, trust me, now you don't have that strength."

Oscar suddenly sounded fearless. He gently grabbed Brian's hand which held the knife. Brian tried to struggle, but found that he was getting more and more weak.

Rosalyn came over and took the knife from his hand. "No more talking, take him away!"

Brian felt more and more dizzy, and he had lost all his strength. He thought of making a call.

But the phone was in his coat pocket. Though he could get it, he was not able to see the screen clearly.

Rosalyn and Oscar took Brian away from the hotel fearlessly, and no one on the road noticed anomalies.

In such a place where entertainment occurred every day, there were many guests who were drunk and needed someone to support them every day. Brian looked like he was drunk, so the waiter didn't ask about too much.

Out of the hotel, a cold wind breezed near his face; Brian was a bit sobered up. He held Rosalyn's hand. "You are not afraid of being banned?"

Rosalyn smiled and said. "No, I'm not. Even if you don't ban me after you wake up tomorrow, I will be banned one day."

When she was trading with Rowdy, she had already put everything out.

After getting in the car, Brian gradually lost his senses, and felt heavier and heavier on his head.

Before the moment he lost his consciousness, Joanne's face emerged in his mind; he unconsciously whispered her name,

"Joanne..."

Rosalyn did not hear it for a while, so she asked Oscar, "What did he say?"

Oscar heard it clearly, but he was hesitant to say. "It seems that he was calling his wife's name."

Rosalyn's face changed, and the beautiful face was twisted like a snake.

But in the next second, all her grievances turned into a sneer-

He was still thinking about Joanne at that time.

Oh, he would never know that it was Joanne's idea.

An hour later, the car was parked in front of a villa in the suburbs. Rosalyn first got off the car to open the door. Oscar then sent the drunken Brian to the master bedroom on the second floor.

Looking at the unconscious man on the bed, Rosalyn smiled, closed the door and turned to say to Oscar, "Thank you."

Oscar took off his glasses. "I don't want you to just thank me after helping you so much."

"I know," Rosalyn said, "You can rest assured that someone will send things to your apartment tomorrow. However, take it easy and don't ruin your good future."

Oscar smiled and gave a meaningful look at the smoke in Rosalyn's hand. "Say that for yourself."

Rosalyn's face changed. What do you mean?

"Don't pretend," Oscar touched his chin while looking at Rosalyn's cigarette case. "You're obviously smoking something, why don't you admit? Don't worry, I won't tell your secret. We can do it together."

The broker did not notice that, but Oscar had already noticed?

Rosalyn stared at Oscar, but the young man had already waved his goodbyes and turned around to go downstairs.

After a long while, Rosalyn calmed down and returned to the room.

Brian was lying in bed, falling asleep, without the coldness and alienation of normal days. He was more like a person who was tired and resting at home.

Rosalyn had an illusion that Brian had always been there and was living with her.

She sat down on the bed; then she leaned down, falling on Brian's chest.

It was the first time she had been this close to him since she had known him and loved him for so many years, and he did not push her away.

She was already satisfied deep down in her heart.

Rosalyn reached out and greedily hugged Brian. She didn't know if it was too loud or Brian was too alert. He moved and seemed to wake up, and his voice was weak.

"Joanne?"

Rosalyn did not dare to make a sound, but hugged him tightly. Brian was not conscious enough. Maybe he mistakenly regarded her as Joanne, so he hugged her.

But at the moment when he touched Rosalyn, Brian suddenly found out that something was wrong. He opened his eyes and saw the woman lying on top of him.

He frowned and tried his best to push Rosalyn away, who fell down without warning.

He supported himself to stand up, but didn't expect to run out of strength. So his whole body fell on the bed again.

Rosalyn climbed up and looked at Brian sadly. "Are you this reluctant to approach me?"

Brians eyes were as cold as a knife. Get out!

Rosalyn pulled down his tie. "I advise you not to waste your efforts; the efficacy will only become stronger and stronger, and you are not able to leave here until tomorrow."

She took the clothes into the bathroom, and Brian opened the quilt and sat up for a while. After he gradually gained a little strength, he got out of bed without hesitation.

But the strength was not enough for him to go twenty steps, and he fell against the room's door.

At the moment before he blacked out again, he saw the clock on the wall showing ten.

At that time, Joanne was waiting for him to go home...
