Chapter 329 Leave Cruel-heartedly (1)

Brian hugged Joanne tightly and kissed her passionately, completely ignoring the feelings of Joanne.

Joanne only felt the pain on his lips like she had lost a layer of skin. She frowned and Brian's action paused.

Then, he let go of her, and ordered her concisely, "Go back."

Of course he was not asking her to go home, but to go back to the ward. The meaning was that as long as Joanne went back, he could pretend that nothing happened.

Joanne shook her head. "Brian, don't act like this."

She finally made the determination to make a decision, which was about to be defeated by Brian.

Brian frowned and didn't want to talk to Joanne anymore. He was going to take her back to the room, but at this time, there were two knocks on the door, which were gentle and in rhythm.

Joanne was very clear about who was knocking on the door. She touched the doorknob, twisted it, and pushed it back. The white door was opened and Shawn was standing outside.

She said, "Someone came to pick me up," which meant that she would not go back.

Brian looked at Shawn outside the door, and sneered. "Him?"

Shawn took Joanne's bag. "Joanne, let's go."

Joanne answered, "Okay," and was about to go outside. But Brian quickly grabbed her and then pulled the ward door closed.

Seeing that the door was about to close, Shawn promptly reached out and blocked it, and the door was slowly opened again.

Brian looked irritated and stared at Shawn. "Get out!"

"I will," Shawn pointed to Joanne, "but I will take her away."

Brian sneered a little and then threw a fist at Shawn.

In front of him, no one had ever dared to say that they would take Joanne away.

Shawn did not expect that Brian would suddenly hit him, so he had no time to dodge it. Then he was punched by his fist and tasted blood.

It was the first time that Joanne saw Brian lose control. After she reacted, she stopped them by standing in between them and then pushed Brian into the ward.

Brian broke away from Joanne and pushed her against the wall. "Go back to the room!"

He didn't want to accidentally hurt Joanne when fighting Shawn.

Joanne instantly understood what Brian was going to do and she shook her head. "Don't..."

"Joanne, stay back." Shawn licked the blood at the corner of his mouth without any fear. "I have always wanted to punch him."

Brian smiled coldly, well, he also wanted to fight him for a long time.

They were almost the same in their physique, and both were arrogant and not willing to step back. The war was going to begin.

Joanne did not want either of them to be injured, not to mention that Brian's stomach pain must not have eased and his right hand still dripped with blood. But she could not stop him.

After thinking about it, Joanne rushed out to pull Shawn. "Let's go!" She used her eyes to signal Shawn to stop.

Shawn looked at Joanne's pleading eyes, then looked at Brian, whose face looked gloomy like a ferocious beast. He rubbed his mouth with his hand and left with Joanne.

He was not afraid of Brian, but it was very clear to him that once he started, Joanne would certainly come to stop them. Brian did not know that Joanne was pregnant, so he would use all of his strength. Then Brian would take the chance to beat him while he was protecting Joanne.

A wise man knew when to retreat!

"Joanne, come back!" Brian was mad, but the anger could not cover the pain in his voice.

Joanne knew that he had to have a stomachache, and she paused her steps. Shawn squeezed her hand. "Don't look back."

The softer she was, the harder Brian would be.

Joanne gritted her teeth and went to the elevator cruel-heartedly. However, she then heard Brian's voice from behind. "Do you think you can go?"

Joanne looked at Shawn subconsciously and received his glance indicating to her that it would be fine.

Then, Shawn stopped and turned back. He smiled and provoked Brian. "Your bodyguards don't dare to stop the people being escorted by the military, do they?"

Yes, the reason why he came so late was that he went to his uncle to ask for help. Otherwise, even if he was good at fighting, he couldn't deal with Brian's well-trained bodyguards.

Brian understood that Shawn was well prepared. If he couldn't stop it, Joanne would be taken away today.

Joanne just saw that Brian's eyes became cold. She suddenly felt a chill on her body. When she came back to her senses, Brian was already walking toward them in anger.

He was like a screaming beast, with a murderous and chilling coldness, and his face was gloomy and cold, like a storm was brewing, which made people unable to discern his physical discomfort.

Only Joanne knew that he was enduring.

But the pain was so severe, how long could he endure it?

Joanne had not figured out a way to stop these two men. Shawn had pushed her back and confronted Brian.

A close fight was inevitable.

Shawn was usually modest and courteous, and he was steady while working. It was not easy to tell that he was good at fighting. During the fight, each of his moves was fierce and crucial.

What made Joanne even more surprised was Brian. He was obviously also a good player in close combat, and he was also merciless with his fists.

Fighting back and forth, their strength was almost equal, and no one was taking advantage of the other.

In the end, Shawn punched Brian in the ribs, perhaps in the stomach. Brian frowned and retreated a few steps, his face going pale suddenly.

Joanne's heart was tight, and she wanted to support Brian subconsciously. However, before she took the first step, doctors and nurses rushed to the scene and at Shawn.

Shawn looked at Joanne with a complicated look. He finally did not say anything and went to help Brian.

The attending doctor looked at Brian's pale face and bloody right hand, and yelled at Shawn, "This is a hospital! Have you figured out the situation!"

Shawn's face just was punched by Brian, and he didn't know when his mouth had been injured. When he spoke, he was terribly hurt.

He pressed his thumb to the corner of his mouth, shrugged, and smiled. "Your patient made the first move."

"You-!" The doctor was so irritated.

"Forget it," Joanne pulled the hand of Shawn, "let's go."

Shawn pressed the elevator button, but he still needed to wait for a while.

"Joanne!" Brian pushed away his doctor and nurses, staring at Joanne coldly. "I will say it one more time, come back!"

Joanne looked at Brian, and almost at the same time, the elevator door slid open.

The doctors and nurses arrived, as well as Gavin. They... would take good care of Brian.

Shawn had already entered the elevator, and Joanne also retracted her gaze and followed the pace of Shawn.

Brian's face changed greatly, and his pupils sharply contracted. "Joanne..."

This time, there was no anger in his voice, no order, only panic.

It was very clear to him that if Joanne left this time, then it would be extremely difficult to see her again.

Joanne's heart was tight, and she suddenly felt a heartache, but she still went into the elevator cruel-heartedly.

Brian suddenly lost control and rushed over while enduring tremendous pain in his body, then the elevator door slowly closed without any mercy. The gap was getting smaller and smaller, and his hopes became more and more vague...

Joanne looked at Brian from the crack in the doors and saw the great pain and despair in his eyes.

There was such an instant when she wanted to give up, and wanted to rush out to tell Brian everything. She did not want Brian to suffer while she was suffering the same pain.

But before she could do so, the elevator door closed. At the last moment, she saw Brian suddenly fall to the ground.

Joanne's heart was lifted up, and both hands subconsciously to try to open the elevator door, but she couldn't, and the elevator began to descend slowly.

She couldn't get out nor go back...

She crouched up against the elevator door, buried her face, and closed her eyes, letting the tears spin in her eyes.

Shawn sighed and held onto the shoulder of Joanne. "There are doctors and nurses there, he will be fine."

Joanne now remembered and turned to look at the wound on Shawn's face. "Do you need to take care of this?"

"I will be fine after I get back and use some medicine." Shawn touched the wound on his face and raised his lips and smiled. "Rest assured, he is a patient, how hard could he hit me?"

"I'm sorry," Joanne was full of guilt, "I apologize to you for him."

"Don't be silly," Shawn said, "I helped you hide so many things from Brian. If he finds out about it later on, he would punch me sooner or later." He paused, suddenly remembering something. "By the way, why were you so anxious to ask me to pick you up? He is now in need of someone to take care of him, are you really willing to go?"

Joanne took out her mobile phone and looked at it and said that she was waiting for Rowdy to call.

"Rosalyn is so smart, it is impossible for her to not know that cooperating with Rowdy is destroying herself. Do you really think she will have a relationship with Rowdy?" Shawn did not believe it.

"Rosalyn certainly won't," Joanne licked her lips, "but if Rowdy wants to use her, he will use special methods to make her compromise."

"Special methods?"

Joanne nodded. "Think about it, Rosalyn is now the most expensive one among the younger generation of Chinese actors. Her star journey is promising. As long as there is no negative news, her future is boundless. Rowdy may have something that can ruin her. So she had to work with him."

Shawn sighed. "Who said that the celebrities only had fine moments?"

However, since she had spoken about the celebrity, he thought of Freya again and asked Joanne if Freya had contacted her.

Joanne shook her head. "Not recently. She only contacted me once or twice after she left. Sometimes Uncle Norris doesn't know where she is."

"She even didn't know such a big thing happened between you and Brian?" Shawn shook his head helplessly. "This damned girl, she only knows to please herself."

"It's better if she doesn't know." Joanne said, "She could only be worried."

While talking, the elevator arrived on the first floor.

When Joanne was just about to step out, the phone suddenly rang, and she subconsciously looked at the number with no name, only a string of numbers.

This number was her nightmare, she couldn't forget it.

Seeing that Joanne was crumbling, Shawn also realized something and asked, "Rowdy?"

Joanne nodded.

Shawn held onto Joanne's hand. "Go to my car and pick it up."

They walked out of the elevator, and there were bodyguards of Brian on the outside. But there were more young soldiers wearing military uniforms. Under the shock of the soldiers, the bodyguards could only watch Joanne being taken away by Shawn.
