Chapter 367 Have You Fallen in Love with Wesley?

rime Villas.

As soon as Joanne returned to the room, Martha urged, "Young Madam, go back to the room and lie down, please call us if you need anything."

Joanne's latest morning sickness scared Martha. At the moment she was just like Brian; they wished Joanne could lie on the bed all the time, fearing that she would suddenly feel so uncomfortable that she wouldnt even be able to speak.

Joanne smiled. "Martha, I'm fine today, you don't need to worry."

When she was about to show Martha how good she was that day, the phone suddenly rang.

Not registered, but Joanne would never forget that number, which was simply a nightmare to her.

She hurriedly picked up her mobile phone and went back to the room. Rowdy's voice came from a distance, "Going back to Brian, are you happy?"

Whenever she heard Rowdys voice, Joanne felt as if a poisonous snake were crawling over her feet, and a chill could be felt through the bone marrow to the rest of her body.

Despite being at home-and knowing that people around the villa were all arranged by Brian-so Rowdy could not approach her, Joanne was still scared.

However, no matter how scared, she could not let Rowdy notice it.

She raised her lips to pretend being at ease. "Of course Im happy. Only people with bloodstained hands like you can't live in peace."

Joanne determined that Rowdys hands had taken more than one life. For so many years, was there one night when he wasnt entangled in nightmares and couldn't sleep?

Rowdy laughed abruptly. "Joanne, you are still too naive-does Brian like you because of this?"

Joanne thought for a moment and understood why Rowdy said that she was naive-precisely because he had more than one life with his own hands, he could live in peace. His current status was built based on those lives; he had long been cold-blooded and numbed to it.

"Rowdy, you won't end well." Thinking Brian's father's life was one of those people, Joanne's voice revealed a bit of hatred.

"Were speaking of this...?" Rowdy smiled carelessly. "In a few years, you will know who is not going to end well-send Brian a message for me: I will not let you go so easily, neither Lambert Group. Brian should have died 14 years ago, and he was lucky to have lived so many more years. Now, he should prepare his suicide note, lest he thinks of the matter just before he dies and doesnt explain clearly, so that it wont be too late."

After being intimidated, Joanne was not afraid at all, and retorted coldly, "Rowdy, it is you who should prepare for last wishes. It's not just Brian; those you killed will not let you go!"

After speaking, Joanne hung up the phone, and carefully recalled the contents of the call. Apart from threatening her, Rowdy didn't seem to say anything else.

His purpose was nothing but to prevent her from living a peaceful life.

Because he hid himself in the uneasiness of his heart every day. Knowing that others couldn't be at ease, it would provide him with a kind of morbid satisfaction.

What a creep!

At ten o'clock, the door was pushed open. Joanne thought it was Brian coming back, and rejoiced for a while, but when she looked again, she saw that it was just Martha coming in with a bowl of soup.

Martha placed the soup on the table and saw through what Joanne was thinking with just a glance. "The young master hasn't returned home yet. You should drink the soup first. He should almost be back afterwards."

The soup was still hot, and Joanne never dared to eat anything that was too hot, so she asked Martha to put it aside to cool.

After less than ten minutes, the door was pushed open again. Joanne lowered her head and continued playing with her tablet, saying lazily, "Martha, I haven't eaten it yet."

"Martha" said nothing, and brought the soup over. "Why not?"

"It's too hot..." While speaking, Joanne suddenly realized that something was wrong. The voice she heard just then was not Martha's!

Looking up, it turned out to be Brian. She unconsciously put a smile on her face and fell into his arms. "Youre finally back."

Brian hugged Joanne and kissed her hair. "Missed me?"

Joanne did not deny nor admit it, then tilted her head with eyes looking bright. "Take a guess!"

No need to guess, Brian had already seen the answer from her surprised expression. He took a spoonful of soup and blew it. "Open your mouth."

Joanne obediently drank the soup and took the bowl. "I'll drink it myself. You can take a bath; Ive already prepared clothes for you."

Regardless of Joanne, who just drank the soup, Brian kissed her lips, "Thank you my wife."

Joanne pretended to be calm, and after Brian entered the bathroom, she couldn't help smirking while drinking soup.

If one thought about it, they had been married for almost a year.

But that feeling was still very much like the first love of adolescence described in books. Even if he just said some simple words, he could still easily touch her heart and make her secretly rejoice.

When Brian finished his shower and dried his hair, Joanne entered the bathroom to brush her teeth. They almost ended at the same time. Brian took Joanne back to the room and asked her, "Why did you look upset when I came back?"

Joanne knew that nothing could escape from Brians eyes, and honestly told him about the call received from Rowdy. She specially analyzed Rowdy's intention, and came to a conclusion, "There must be something wrong with Rowdy's mind!"

Brian said nothing. He took Joanne's mobile phone and said, "I'll get you a new phone tomorrow."

Joanne had guessed Brian's purpose and hesitated. "Do you also want to change my card?" Rowdy could still contact her if she only changed the phone but not the phone card.

Brian knew that Joanne's number had been used since high school. She didn't want to change it. So he hugged her and lay down. "Relax, Ill just change your mobile phone."

Joanne couldn't figure out what the use was to just change the phone, so she simply didn't think about it anymore and snuggled into Brian's arms. "What about the trouble you found for Rowdy?"

Brian looked at the time, then said, "After calling you, he may have gotten word of it. He might be venting his anger on some unlucky men under his control."

Although she didn't know what Brian did, once he made a move, Rowdy's loss would not be simple. Joanne rewarded Brian with a light kiss. "I want to know about Gavin."

Brian was silent for a moment before saying, "He, like most orphans in the United States, was sent to an orphanage as soon as he was born. The director said he only knew his mother was from Arlington. There was no more information aside from that."

Joanne said, "I can't imagine Gavin being an orphan."

Although Gavin always seemed to be quite careless, in fact, he was a very smart and calm person.

Joanne once wondered why he had to cover himself, and right then she might have learned the answer-Gavin didn't want others to know that he was an abandoned child, so he pretended to be frivolous. That way, even if others knew, they would think that even if he was abandoned, he still lived happier than most people.

But there was a question, Joanne couldn't figure out. "Why wasn't Gavin adopted? Because he's Asian?"

"He was cute when he was a kid, and he had adoption requests every day," Brian said, "But he didn't want to leave the orphanage."

"...He still wants to find his biological parents?" Joanne guessed.

"Actually, he never found them," Brian said, "I found for him once after I returned to Arlington. He got angry when he knew of it, and said that if I did it again, he would return to the United States and never return."

Joanne thought for a long time and sighed. "He just doesn't know how to face it."

"Maybe." Brian kissed Joanne's eyebrows and said, "It's late, go to bed."

Joanne closed her eyes obediently. Before long, she was fast asleep.

Brian hugged Joanne tight and also fell asleep.

Another place under the same night sky was not peaceful-

As Brian expected, at that time, Rowdy was furious.

Working with Mike was an important step for him to seize the market. His only competitor, Wesley, offended Mike, which was a godsend for him.

But when Mike arrived in Arlington, his plan was actually destroyed by Brian?

He rushed to see Mike and tried his best to save the situation, but Mike always kept a wait-and-see attitude and refused to make a decision to finalize the cooperation.

He patiently asked, "What did Brian tell you?"

"He said your background in Arlington is not clean, and he will send you to prison," Mike shrugged and said, "I chose to work with Wesley before because I knew he would never land in prison. And you, obviously, are not as powerful as him in Arlington, and I dont want an unstable partner. Otherwise, the person most affected after an accident would be me."

Mike asked him to prove that he could overpower Brian, or he could go straight to topple Brian to prove his strength.

After returning, Rowdy contacted Yuna directly.

As soon as the phone was connected, Yuna heard an angry voice. "You are crazy! What if I were with Wesley! Dont you think that he would suspect me!?"

"It's two o'clock in the morning. If you still were with Wesley, I would be very happy," said Rowdy.

Yuna sneered and asked, "What's the matter?"

"When Mike arrived in Arlington, he had already negotiated the terms of cooperation with me, but today Brian stepped in. I think that Mike will go back to Glasgow to find Wesley."

Before Rowdy finished, Yuna had already guessed the purpose of that call. "You want me to also destroy the negotiation between Wesley and Mike?"

"Wesley has Brian in Arlington, and I have you in Glasgow, and we are quite capable."

"Youre wrong," Yuna interrupted Rowdy, "Even if you are equal in strength with Wesley, Im not Brians opponent. Also, after what happened last time, Wesley will not let me see Mike again. I can't finish the task."

"You can't, or don't want to?" Rowdy revealed a warning in his tone. "Yuna, you would never said that before."

"You never told me to betray myself before!" Yuna retorted, facing the god in her heart for the first time, and her voice trembled with excitement.

Rowdy held his cell phone and remained silent for a long time. There seemed to be a coldness in his voice. "Yuna, have you fallen in love with Wesley?"

If she weren't in love with Wesley, Yuna would not resist it so much.

She had gone on an impure path, but her feelings were still pure, so she resisted any other purpose to have a close relationship with Wesley.

Yuna hesitated for a while. After some time, she found her own voice. "Don't guess randomly, I just hate you."

"Hate me, or hate yourself?" Rowdy smiled coldly. "Yuna, you made the lowest level mistake."

"...Really?" Yuna asked slowly, "What happens if I make such a low-level mistake?"

"You know more about Wesley than me. You can't always camouflage around him, so complete the task and come back as soon as possible. Otherwise, when Wesley finds out who you are, you will be dragged down by your feelings. There will be no good results."

"The worst result is nothing more than death," Yuna said firmly, "Now, I will never go back."

After that, she hung up.

She didn't know whether it was right or wrong to follow Rowdy at first, and she needed to stay with Wesley. If one day she found that she was wrong, she might still have a chance to make up for her mistakes.

Rowdy told her to go back, because he found that she, as a tool, was still sharp, but she was about to get out of his control.

If she went back, she would really die.
