Regardless who Yuna really was, when she was working for Wesley, she was dedicated and wholehearted, and never went against Wesley's will.
That was the first time she didn't obey him. Like an unbridled horse with no restraints, determined to go somewhere else.
Wesley didn't look happy about it. He walked to the backseat and opened the car door abruptly, staring at Yuna menacingly.
Yuna couldn't stand his "torturing look" and explained, "It's not very convenient for me to live here..." Actually, she just wanted to stay away from Wesley.
Wesley seemed to see through Yuna's little tricks and asked with a sneer, "Where will you be staying then?"
"Just a hotel." Seeing that Wesley was calm, Yuna kept going, without a worry, "Can you ask your people to pack my belongings? I will call Kai and ask him to help me find a hotel."
"Kai is not helping," said Wesley coldly, "he went back to Glasgow."
"..." Yuna tried to pull off a smile. "I can book the hotel myself. Can you..." She just wanted Wesley to ask his people to help her pack. But before she could finish her sentence, Wesley suddenly held her in his arms and took her out of the car.
She subconsciously put her arms around his neck, but then she realized that it was quite inappropriate and she let go of her hands, trying to get away from him, "Wesley, what are you doing!?"
...
"Wesley, let me down!"
...
"Believe or not, I will break your leg with my walking stick!"
If it was in the past, Yuna would not dare to threaten Wesley like that. But recently, she had even confessed to him that she had fallen for him. Compared to that, threatening him seemed trivial. The worst case scenario would be Wesley telling her to get the hell out, big deal.
"Shut up!" No one dared to talk to him like that.
Yuna met his gaze, intimidated. She shut her mouth, thinking that maybe she could later try to run away.
Wesley had been holding her, gray-faced all the way to the bedroom on the second floor before he threw her on the bed.
Without any gentleness, the way he threw her on the bed didn't hurt Yuna. She retracted subconsciously, grabbing a blanket as a defense. "What do you want?"
She confessed, he rejected. Okay fine, she was cool, without resentment and complaint, because she wasn't allowed to and she had no grounds to hold a grudge.
However, she could choose to stay away from Wesley, right?
Wesley looked like a millennium iceberg. "Before leaving Arlington, stay here and don't play any tricks."
"No!" Yuna rejected without hesitation. "I'm staying in a hotel!"
"Yuna," Wesley looked murderous with his coldly brooding eyes as he spoke, "Bargaining with me, huh? You wanna die?"
Yuna had been familiarizing herself with Wesley for a long time, but she still couldn't face his glare. She turned away and said, "I'm not bargaining with you. I'm just getting my freedom back!" It was pitiful enough that she was rejected. She didn't want to lose her freedom.
"Pfft." Wesley sneered. "A person who needs a walking stick to walk. What kind of freedom do you want?"
Yuna was pissed. She glared and said, "What do you mean? A temporarily disabled person deserves no freedom?"
"Spill more bullshit and you will be grounded in this room." Wesley was, obviously threatening Yuna to get her to compromise.
Yuna was so angry that her cheeks turned red, but her hands were tied. After all, he was the great Brother Wesley, and she was just a nobody.
Seeing that Yuna finally gave up, Wesley left her room.
Kai did go back to Glasgow. But even if he were still in Arlington, he couldn't let Kai book a hotel for Yuna, and he definitely couldn't let Kai accompany Yuna days and nights in a hotel as he had done in the hospital.
A guy and a woman, in a hotel. He didn't want think about what could happen.
"But if there were no people guarding her in the hospital 24/7, who knew what Rowdy would do to her? Has she thought about it?"
"She was hit by a car and broke her leg. Did she hurt her brain too?"
......
That way, Yuna was forced to live in the villa.
However, it wasn't as bad as she had imagined.
The next day, when she woke up, Wesley had already left. She had her breakfast and lunch in her room, and the rest of the time, she was either sleeping or playing online games. She felt so good not seeing Wesley.
At around six o'clock, the sky darkened. The helper came and knocked on her door. "Miss Xu, dinner is ready."
"Oh, have it sent to my room please." Yuna was so caught up in the game that she wouldn't even look up. Faintly, she heard the sound of the door being opened. But she was too absorbed in the game that she didn't react.
Not until a chill approached did she suddenly realize that something was wrong. Raising her head, she saw Wesley.
"Why are you back so early?" Yuna was surprised and repulsed at the same time.
"If I didn't come back this early, how would I know that you were living here so well?" Mu Si stared at Yuna's computer screen, with an unknown emotion.
"I can only stay here. Why can't I be comfortable and have fun?" Yuna closed her computer. Looking at Wesley, she grinned and said, "You thought that I would be depressed and look miserable here, right? Pfft, I'm not an idiot. Only an idiot would feel sad because of you!"
To prove that she was doing well, Yuna decided to eat downstairs.
The stairs of the villa were round-shaped, which made it more difficult for a temporarily disabled person like her to get up and down the stairs. Wesley was right behind her, so she swore to herself that even she fell, she would need to fall down gracefully and non-embarrassingly.
But still, she needed to be careful. Or else, she would probably need to stay in the hospital for another month, looking hideous and embarrassing.
In the end, Wesley couldn't stand Yuna's outrageously slow speed. He grabbed her walking stick, threw it aside, then held her up with arms on her waist.
Yuna was accustomed to his sudden moves, but when his breath lingered in her nose, her heart was beating like crazy.
She didn't want Wesley noticing any weirdness of hers. She turned away, and enjoyed Wesley's 'service' like as if it were for granted.
Seeing that view, the helper wasnt surprised at all. She served them their fill of soup and rice, and stood aside.
Wesley was always decisive and intimidating. But Yuna had to admit that he seemed like he had been born with the knowledge of manners and courtesies in his blood. Even when he was having a meeting with the head of a mafia group, who may bang the table and make all the sounds, he never made a sound when he was eating, nor was there any sound of clicking or clashing with the plates and cutlery.
Plus, with his outstanding chiseled features, he always seemed to be the unique one among all the people. With his intimidating charisma, he was incredibly charming.
In private, watching him eat was a visual treat.
Yuna looked at him for a few seconds, then forced herself to withdraw her sight. She had already fallen into it. She couldn't let herself go deeper. Otherwise, she would not be able to pull herself out when she had to leave.
After dinner, Sir Mu went back to his room to take a phone call. Yuna had a hard time coming down so she was watching TV on the couch in the living room.
The helper sent her a plate of fruit and asked her if she had recovered well.
"It's been okay." Yuna had a grape. "I won't be needing a walking stick in a week I guess."
The helper nodded in agreement, then said, "It should recover well. I made the meal according to the recipes given by Mr. Mu. It was nutritious."
"Thank..." Before Yuna could say the last word, she stared at the helper inconceivably. "Wesley writes recipes?" That was shocking. Not shocking in a sweet way, but in a terrifying way.
"Of course not." The helper smiled. "Mr. Mu specially asked someone to customize it. He just gave it to me and asked me to cook based on it."
......
"Mr. Mu is very attentive to you," said the aunt.
"...I was hit by a car because of him, he should be thoughtful." Yuna forcibly stopped herself from putting too much thoughts into that. "Plus, the earlier I am cured, the earlier I can work for him."
"Yeah, he did this because he wants me to continue working my ass off for him, not because he cares about me."
Although she convinced herself, she was muddled. She had no idea how she got back to her room. Then, Rowdy called. She picked it up after it had rung three times.
"It's unlikely to cooperate with Mike. Now, someone is going to make a deal with Wesley. Find out his offer."
"..." Yuna wasn't listening at all.
"Yuna?" Rowdy was irritated. "What are you doing!?"
Yuna snapped back to reality and said, "Find out his offer, then?"
"I'll contact them, and will make an offer that's ten percent lower than Wesley's," Rowdy said.
"You'll compete with them by wasting money?" Yuna was slightly surprised. "I thought you said it was stupid."
"Wesley isn't the kind of opponent we have encountered before. This is the only way," Rowdy said, "Remember, you must lure him into taking the initiative to tell you his offer. If you ask for it, he would suspect you."
"I see." After a pause, Yuna continued, "I need to tell you something."
...
"You asked me to go get Wesley. You actually were asking me to seduce him, right?" Yuna ridiculed herself. "The truth is you gave me too much credit for it. He doesn't like me, at all. If you're trying to pull this trick off, you might as well just ask somebody with big boobs. That might work."
"..." Rowdy was silent on the phone for a long time. "You told him you liked him?" he said, with unclear emotions.
"...Yes." Yuna looked up at the ceiling. "Unfortunately, this big fish couldn't be hooked."
She hung up the phone, then turned on the computer and continued to play games calmly.
She had played that game for many years. Also, she was one of the top players in her server. But for the past six months, she was so busy dealing with Wesley that she didn't have time for leveling up. So, it was time for her to grab more game experience and catch up with those guys who teased her.
She failed in the game of love. At least, she needed to win on the computer game!
At that moment, Yuna had yet to realize that she would be betrayed by that game in the far future.
