Chapter 421 Missing Wesley Like Crazy

Yuna was stunned when she saw who was at the door.

It was not Wesley. She became disappointed at once, but she was relieved that it wasn't Wesley. Otherwise, he would ask her why she was in his apartment, and she wouldn't know how to answer him. If she explained to him that she felt so sleepy so she had a rest there, Wesley would just give her a cold smile.

Aunt Helen became stunned as well.

With nothing to be done in the old house, she went to Wesley's apartment every two days to clean up his room, like changing his bedding and sorting his clothes.

It was her first time to see a woman in his apartment then. However, she wasn't surprised to see Yuna there.

Aunt Helen smiled naturally and said, "I'm here to do the cleaning for Wesley."

For a moment, Yuna didn't know what to say. She made a dull smile and realized that Aunt Helen was explaining to her.

Well, she wasn't the hostess of the apartment. The one who should feel embarrassed to be there was her, and the one who should give an explanation should also be her.

"Oh, Aunt Helen, actually I'm..."

Before Yuna finished her words, Aunt Helen noticed the carelessly wrapped gauze around her hand. She ran over to her and asked in surprise, "Are you injured?"

"Two groups of guys clashed in the bar on Changxing Road. I tried to calm them down but got injured by accident."

Before Yuna could continue explaining why she was there, Aunt Helen took her hand and made her sit down on the sofa. "From the gauze, I can tell that you didn't take good care of your wound! That's too bad. Let me dress the wound for you again."

Aunt Helen took out a medical kit and skillfully dressed Yuna's wound. She said, "Wesley used to get injured many times. I often dressed his minor wounds. Afterward, he was busier and busier with his work. Every time he came to see me, I found him either injured or busy. I have looked after him since he was a kid, and I used to miss him when I hadn't seen him in a long time. But now, I realize that it's OK because it means that he is fine."

Yuna knew that Aunt Helen was worrying about Wesley's safety. Indeed, Wesley was always in danger; maybe someone was making a plan to end his life.

However, Aunt Helen was getting old. No matter what the fact was, Yuna didn't have the heart to tell Aunt Helen, so she tried to comfort her and said, "You don't need to worry about him. He has many guys to protect him. He will be fine."

Aunt Helen smiled and carefully bandaged Yuna's wound, then she asked, "Are you hungry? I'll cook for you."

Yuna didn't want to bother Aunt Helen and shook her head. At the very moment, her stomach rumbled beyond her expectation. Aunt Helen gave her a smile to indicate that she got her point, then she stood up and walked into the kitchen.

After a while, the phone in the living room rang. From the number, Yuna knew that it was Wesley calling. She didn't have the courage to answer the phone and took it over to Aunt Helen.

Wesley knew that Aunt Helen would go to his apartment at noon, so he was calling to ask her to find a document in his study and hand it to Kai.

Aunt Helen knew little about documents, so she said on the phone, "You may talk to Miss Xu about it."

Wesley asked in a rare surprising voice, "Is Yuna in my apartment?"

"Yes, she said that yesterday something went wrong in the bar on Changxing Road. After she handled it, it was too late so she slept in your apartment. She got injured. Just now, I dressed the wound on her hand."

As for the last thing, Aunt Helen revealed it intentionally.

As Aunt Helen expected, Wesley said, "Put her on the phone, please."

When she took the phone, Yuna felt a little frightened. She timidly said, "Hello?"

"What happened in the bar on Changxing Road?" Wesley asked in a serious tone, and it was difficult to tell how he felt.

Yuna briefed him on what had happened, but she didn't mention her injury. In the end, she said, "As for the police and the press, it's all fixed. Everything will be fine. Trust me."

"..." Wesley was silent.

Yuna thought that he had hung up. She was about to hang up but heard him ask, "What about the injury to your hand?"

Wesley had wanted to know how Yuna got hurt when he asked her to answer the phone, without expecting that she wouldn't mention it at all, so he directly asked about her injury.

Yuna was temporarily at a loss, trying to tell what Wesley's feeling was from his words, but she saw nothing from his official, routine tone. Then she flatly said, "Tian Zhen wanted to hit Hua Ge. I stepped forward to stop Tian Zhen and got injured by the broken beer bottle in his hand. It's nothing."

Wesley said with the same tone, "I see."

Yuna felt relieved that she didn't take the initiative to think Wesley was worrying about her. From Wesley's tone, she couldn't hear any of his worries for her.

Despite that, she was loath to hang up.

In total, she hadn't heard Wesley's voice for about five days. In her mind, even if she couldn't see him, to hear his voice more was just as well.

Therefore, Yuna asked with an embarrassing voice, "By the way... when will you come back?"

"..." Wesley didn't answer her right away, which made Yuna suddenly realize that her question could be easily misunderstood. So she said at once, "Mr. Mu, don't mistake me. I'm not missing you. I only..." She was so anxious that she bit her tongue, and she had to stop talking.

"Damn, it hurts!" Yuna thought.

At that moment, Wesley began to speak in a joyful voice. "How much do you miss me?"

"...I only want you to come back soon. I'm busy like crazy!" Yuna was almost driven mad.

"Are you missing me like crazy?" After a while, Wesley continued as if he became benevolent. "Now that you are so miserable, I'll be back as soon as possible."

"..." Yuna knew well that the more she tried to explain, the more Wesley would intentionally mistake her. She squeezed her eyes shut and hung up, cursing Wesley in her mind. "You'd better never come back!"

Yuna's words turned out to be nearly a prophecy. Just a bit more, and Wesley would never be back.

After the call, Wesley adjusted his schedule because he wanted to return that night.

Gavin, who had been there with him, opened his mouth in surprise and said, "Seriously? If we return tonight, we'll have to leave as soon as we sign the contract. I want to stay longer with the beauties in Mexico!"

Wesley glanced at Gavin and said, "You can go back when you're tired of it."

"Forget it, I'll go with you." Then Gavin sighed. "Joanne is in the latter period of her pregnancy. Now I'm busier than our boss. To tell you the truth, after she got pregnant, the one who has suffered the most is me. Ah!" he said with a tearful look on his face.

With an indifferent voice, and a look on his face that was saying "it's so unnecessary", Wesley asked, "Does anybody... listen to your grievances?"

His precise words hit the nail on the head, which almost made Gavin sad to death.

He rubbed his hands and tried to fight against Wesley. "Isn't it shameful for you to disdain a single man like me? By the way, have you slept with Yuna?"

"..." Wesley didn't either admit or deny it.

Gavin took it as Wesley's acquiescence and decided to make fun of him. He smiled and said, "You're so quick. Tell me, why are you so quick? The other day, weren't you so perturbed that you chose to get drunk?"

Gavin would never forget how Wesley looked when he said that he liked Yuna after he got drunk.

Although his hidden history was dug out, Wesley wasn't anxious at all. He calmly said, "I think you are quicker than me."

"..."

Gavin felt like a mouthful of blood had gotten stuck in his throat and almost spewed out.

Gavin thought, "Damn! What I said didn't mean that you're bad in bed! By the way, I'm not quick. I... am great."

Gavin poked Wesley with his elbow and intentionally said, "From the current situation, Yuna will leave you one day sooner or later. Listen, if you get Yuna pregnant, she may be frank with you for the baby boy's or the baby girl's sake and betray Rowdy to stay with you. "

"A baby?" Wesley thought.

Wesley couldn't deny that Gavin had come up with a good idea.

However, he wouldn't speak it out.

"Do you think I need to use such a vile method?"

With that, Wesley walked toward the gate, leaving Gavin an upright figure.

Gavin couldn't help complaining. "You said it as if you have rarely used that way!"

In fact, Wesley was good at using vile methods. He had guessed that Rowdy would ask Yuna to inquire about his offer. He told her that he was going to offer 120,000, but he actually offered less than 110,000, which made him beat Rowdy, whose offer was 110,000. That way, he won over the cooperation, leaving Rowdy so angry that he almost jumped off the mountain.

After signing the contract that evening, Wesley would lose a lot of money.

However, he wasn't unhappy at all. It seemed that seeing Rowdy lose, instead of making a profit, would make him happier.

The process of signing the contract was smoother than Gavin had thought. After that, he and Wesley hurried straight to the airport with several guys.

The airport was built on the outskirts of the city; they had to get there through a long ghat. Since it was late at night, Gavin had to be vigilant, while he asked Wesley in a teasing tone, "Rowdy wants to kill you. Do you think he will do so when we are abroad?"

As soon as his voice died down, with a "Bang-" sound and then a crashing sound, the glass window of their car broke into pieces.

Wesley and Gavin got down almost at the same time, each holding a pistol that was already loaded.

Wesley's men surrounded his car at once and began to fight back.

However, their opponent's car had a bulletproof shell, and they were outnumbered; they couldn't hold on for long.

Seeing that, Gavin called Brian for help, but he was told that they had to wait at least 30 minutes for their assistance.

He and Wesley were able to hold on for 30 minutes. He loaded a pistol to the fullest and handed it to Wesley, saying, "As usual."

They had lived through a welter of blood and bullets and had a high degree of tacit understanding. They worked together and eliminated many of Rowdy's men.

After all, their enemies outnumbered them and they were masters of driving. In a moment, there were two cars approaching from both sides out of their car, trying to sandwich it.

The cars rubbed against each other and made harsh noises. Gavin realized his disadvantage, thinking that they had to get out of the situation, otherwise they would end in death.

He opened the window to jump on their car, and then he jumped on one of the cars that was trying to sandwich theirs.

If he killed the driver to stop the car, Wesley would easily eliminate the other guys in it, thus making it possible for them to get out of the dilemma.

Rowdy's men were quick to react; they constantly shot at the roof. Gavin avoided the bullets, then he broke the driver's window with his hand and shot the driver dead.

The car was stopped; Wesley's car managed itself out of the dilemma. However, Gavin, who was static on the roof and could be clearly seen, had been aimed at.

Wesley noticed that and aimed his pistol at the guy who was aiming at Gavin.

"Bang-"

"Bang-"

With the sounds of gunshots, two bullets flew out; one bullet came out of Wesley's pistol and shot the guy that was aiming at Gavin.

The other one shot Wesley.
