Chapter 423 Wesley's Hunger

Wesley calmly glanced at Yuna, not surprised at all.

"Someone must have told you about my injury. And you will certainly come here, right?"

Yuna felt embarrassed and asked, "Wesley, what makes you think so highly of yourself? Why are you so narcissistic?"

Wesley smiled and said, "Because you adore me."

"..." Yuna wondered if there was any patient that was more annoying than Wesley.

Yuna tried to choke down the urge to vent her anger on Wesley, then she intentionally asked, "How many enemies do you have in Mexico?"

"I was shot by Rowdy's men yesterday," Wesley said indifferently as if it was nothing, without looking at Yuna.

Yuna felt more nervous and said, "This is the second time he has wanted to kill you. Why?"

"Yesterday, I undercut him," Wesley said in an indifferent way, as if undercutting Rowdy was a piece of cake.

Yuna swallowed and said, "He could never imagine that you'd offer 120,000."

Wesley gave her a meaningful smile and said, "Actually, I offered less than 110,000."

That was the key point. Yuna felt if her heart would jump out through her throat. "Why? 120,000 is enough to make us lose money!"

"Is she feeling sorry for Rowdy?" he thought.

Wesley sneered in his mind and thought, "Well."

He gave her a teasing smile and said, "I was told that Rowdy would offer less than 120,000. Now that he wanted to start a price war, I was glad to join him because I can afford the loss just as he can. Even in his dreams, he could have never imagined that he would lose if he offered such a shameful low price like 110,000."

"..."

"..."

"Mr. Mu..." Yuna thought he was mad and asked, "If his offer of 110,000 is shameful, what can I say about your lower price?"

"The remark you used to say, that is-I have money to burn, right?" Wesley looked at Yuna at leisure and asked, "Any comments?"

Yuna shook her head like a rattle, thinking, "How dare I make comments?

"But, is Wesley telling the truth? Did he hear about Rowdy's offer, or did he... take advantage of me?"

Yuna calmly watched Wesley, thinking deeply.

If Wesley was conscious of her real identity, he would guard himself against her. However, from Wesley's look at that moment, she didn't see anything.

What's more, he dared to take her home and sleep with her.

According to Wesley's usual style, once he found out that she was undercover, he would end her life right away or make her life a living hell. He was unlikely to accept her feelings for him, let alone build up intimacy with her. What he hated the most were lies and betrayal.

If so, maybe she was just feeling guilty and scaring herself. "Wesley doesn't know who I am, how could he take advantage of me to mislead Rowdy?" she thought.

Yuna temporarily calmed herself down, then she looked at Wesley only to find that he didn't pay attention to her at all. He was speaking fluent German on the phone. "Is there a batch of goods from Rowdy going through your channel to Poland tonight? ... Nothing, do me a favor and sink the goods."

After a pause, Wesley turned his lips into a meaningful smile and said, "He started the war. Take it easy, you can say that I did it and you have nothing to do with it. He knows the rules and won't give you a hard time."

Hearing that, Yuna grabbed the bottom of her coat. As Wesley glanced at her, she subconsciously relaxed her grip, trying to force a calm face. Then Wesley said, "I'm hungry."

"Oh." Yuna was thinking about another thing.

Wesley frowned in dissatisfaction and said, "Oh?"

Wesley's cold voice made Yuna come back to her senses. She stood up at once and gave him a flattering smile. "Ah, Mr. Mu. What do you want to eat? I'll buy you some."

"No." Wesley said, "There is a restaurant in the hospital. Ask the waiter to bring me some."

Yuna did as he said. 10 minutes later, the waiter took the lunch there, which shocked Yuna-Mexican chicken rolls and corn pone.

There was something that Wesley hated in the food. "He will kill me if he sees these!" she thought.

Yuna asked the restaurant to send her other food, and then they took a Mexican tortilla soup and roasted beef there. Although Wesley didn't hate them, they were not palatable to him. He took a single bite and asked Yuna to take them away.

Wesley never kept what he hated because he didn't want to see it. After throwing away the beef and the soup, Yuna tentatively asked, "Mr. Mu, may I get you some other food?"

"No." With that, Wesley made a call. The language he spoke on the phone sounded like Spanish, the official language of Mexico, which was new to Yuna. When he hung up, Yuna still didn't understand a single word.

15 minutes later, Jay went into the ward with a plastic bag in hand, looking rather surprised. He said, "Mr. Mu, a Mexican sent this here and said that... you ordered it, right?"

The guys guarding the ward racked their brains but couldn't figure out why Wesley ordered that raw beef and green peppers.

Wesley replied, "Oh," then said, "Leave it here."

The implied meaning in his words was "go away". Jay put it down and quickly went out.

Yuna was surprised as well. She kicked the plastic bag and asked, "Mr. Mu, are you... going to eat raw food?"

Wesley glared at Yuna and asked, "Do you think I'm a beast?"

Yuna shook her head at once and said, "Mr. Mu, you misunderstood me!"

While in her mind, there was little difference between Wesley and a beast!

Wesley gave her a softer look and said, "Whatever you do, I want the ingredients in the bag cooked in 30 minutes."

Yuna realized that Wesley was asking her to cook for him.

However, she had only been an assistant in the kitchen! She had never cooked!

Looking at Yuna's embarrassed and hesitant face, Wesley said, "You have 29 minutes left."

"Mr. Mu..." Yuna gave him a crying look and asked, "Can I say that I can't do it?"

Wesley narrowed his eyes and said, "Of course you can."

"..." Yuna couldn't believe that Wesley was so kind.

Then she heard Wesley continued saying, "Only if you 'satisfy my hunger' in another way."

It took Yuna a while to get Wesley's point. She gnawed her lips, thinking, "I'm open for business, not for sale." Then she picked up the bag and said, "I'll cook!"

Yuna would not dare to deliberately make dishes that were unpalatable or laced with poison, because Wesley could see through her. If she dared to do that, she would have to feed him as well as satisfy his desire.

The kitchen in the ward was well-equipped. Yuna rinsed the rice to cook it, then she washed and cut the ingredients.

She had been her grandmother's assistant in the kitchen since she was a kid, so she was skilled at washing and cutting the ingredients, so it didn't take long before she finished preparing to cook.

What was difficult for her was the cooking. But fortunately, she had seen it since she was a kid so she didn't act with confusion.

The first dish was stir-fried beef with green peppers, which was the easiest for her. The dish didn't look appealing and tasted light, while in Yuna eyes, it didn't look terrible and was edible.

The second dish was boiled cabbage, and the third one was several fried eggs, followed by a soup cooked with needle mushrooms and lean meat. After more than an hour, Yuna took the three dishes and the soup to Wesley.

Wesley lay on the bed watching Yuna bustling around.

In fact, it was beyond his expectation that Yuna could manage to cook those dishes for him.

He knew that Yuna's only cooking skill was boiling water, and he had wanted to embarrass her. What's more, he had intentionally said in front of her that he wanted to sink Rowdy's goods.

He had expected Yuna to be as restless as an ant on a hot pan with a helpless look on her face.

"But, did I fail?" Wesley thought.

Yuna didn't notice what Wesley was thinking. Since he couldn't use his left hand, she took him a pair of chopsticks and a soup spoon, as well as a bowl of soup. Then she sat by the bed and took a bite of the boiled cabbage.

However, she grimaced at once.

She coughed and had a glass of water. "Mr. Mu, you'd better not eat this dish."

The beef tasted light so she added much more salt in the cabbage, without expecting it to be that salty.

What was more unexpected was that Wesley firstly tasted the cabbage. Yuna had thought that he might overturn the table and ask her to redo it. To her surprise, he ate it without a word.

That gave Yuna a wonderful illusion-"Maybe the dishes are not bad."

While Wesley couldn't believe that he had eaten these things-the overcooked beef, the burnt fried eggs, the salty cabbage, and the light soup, which tasted like oily boiled water.

It was the most unpleasant meal he had ever eaten. It was even more disgusting than the roasted beef and corn pone that the restaurant had just sent.

However, he ate them all. And he dared not tell her that he had a unique feeling for those dishes.

Maybe the feeling had something to do with Yuna.

Yuna didn't enjoy the meal. As soon as she felt full, she laid down her chopsticks. Then she looked at Wesley in bewilderment and asked, "Mr. Mu, how are you able to finish your meal?"

Wesley didn't answer her but asked, "What do you think?"

Yuna blurted out, "Because you're starving. Hungry dogs will eat dirty pudding, right?"

Wesley clenched his fist and tried his best to resist the impulse to strike Yuna's head with the chopsticks in his hand.

He gave her a meaningful smile and said, "You got it."

Meanwhile, Yuna was serious as she said, "Well, let me search for some good Chinese restaurants nearby. Maybe we can ask them to prepare lunches and dinners for us..."

Wesley took Yuna's cellphone from her hand and locked it in the bedside cupboard, then he said, "From now on, you have to cook lunches and dinners for me."

"Why?" Yuna widened her eyes and asked, "Don't you think it's disgusting?"

"That's OK." Wesley seemed to not care about it at all and said, "I'm the hungry dog that will eat dirty pudding."
