Chapter 424 I'm in Charge of You And All about You

"Hungry dogs will eat dirty puddings..." She thought.

Yuna realized that she shouldn't have said that; Wesley wanted to pay her back!

"Well, I'll cook! Anyway, I'm bad at cooking!" She thought.

...

In the afternoon, when Wesley was sleeping, Yuna walked gingerly to the beside cupboard and wanted to take out her cellphone to contact Rowdy.

Wesley wanted to sink Rowdy's goods; she had to inform him of it.

Due to her false information, Rowdy lost the chance to cooperate with the Mexicans. If Rowdy sustained another loss that night, he would make her life hard in the ensuing days.

She opened the drawer; before she could find her cellphone, Yuna's hand was grabbed.

From the familiar strength and touch, Yuna could tell it was Wesley without looking. She turned and saw Wesley deeply staring at her. He asked, "What are you looking for?"

Yuna felt nervous, but then she thought, "It's my cellphone, why do I need to be guilty!?"

Miss Xu stroked her hair with confidence and said, "I'm looking for my own cellphone!" She stressed the two words "my own" deliberately.

Wesley gave her a look that was saying "I see", then he indifferently locked the drawer and threw the key out of the window.

Yuna widened her eyes and came to herself after a long while. She angrily said, "Wesley, why do you lock my phone in it!?"

"I'm in charge of you, as well as your belongings." Wesley didn't think it inappropriate at all and asked as if nothing had happened. "What's wrong? Don't you think so?"

"Nonsense! I need my cellphone!" Yuna was nearly driven crazy. "Don't you know that people today can't live without a cellphone!?"

Wesley threw his cellphone to Yuna and said, "There is no password. You can use it as you wish."

"..." Yuna was stunned.

She thought, "Are you kidding me? How dare I call Rowdy with your cellphone?"

Seeing Wesley's look as if he had shown great kindness to her, Yuna forced a smile and asked, "Brother Wesley, do I need to say thanks to you?"

"Yes." Wesley pretended to be serious and said, "As you said, my cellphone is much better than yours."

The implied meaning of his words was that he was offering Yuna a better experience, so she had to thank him.

"..."

Yuna clenched her teeth, taking a slow breath to ease her anger inside and managed to choke down the urge to hit Wesley with the cellphone.

"Flying all the way from Glasgow to see Wesley was totally wrong!" Yuna thought.

"Wesley's injury is none of my business. It's him, not me that has been injured. Why do I worry about him?"

From what she knew from Wesley, as long as he was alive, he would torment her in thousands of ways which could make her want to die. "Why did I ask for it!?"

Yuna turned her back to Wesley and said, "I'll go back to Glasgow tomorrow!"

"Yuna, who do you think I am? Do you think you can come or leave here as you wish?" Wesley warned her.

Yuna wasn't that easy to surrender. She shouted with disdain, "I have my personal freedom. I can go anywhere I want. It's none of your business!"

Wesley didn't get mad but smiled. "Try it."

"I'm not afraid of you! I'll do as I like!"

With that, Yuna stood up to rush out of the ward. At the very moment, Wesley picked up the bedside phone on the wall and called Jay who was guarding outside.

Yuna passed the parlor aggressively and pushed open the door of the ward. Two guys immediately stopped her and said, "Miss Xu, Brother Wesley said you are not allowed to leave for the moment."

"Whatever he said!" Yuna's words were full of rage. With that, she began to fight with those guys.

Although she was a Korean boxing master, those guys were good at combat; besides, they were experienced because they had lived through a welter of blood and bullets. Being no match for them, she was caught soon.

The two young men awkwardly said, "Miss Xu, you'd better stay here. Brother Wesley... You know him better than us."

"Is he the only one who can lose his temper in this world!?"

Yuna struggled; the two didn't want to hurt her and lightly held her arms, but they split the injury in her right hand by accident. She frowned; before she cried out, the blood had flowed out.

Jay asked the two guys to stop and sent Yuna back into the ward. "Brother Wesley, Miss Xu is here."

Wesley wasn't surprised at all that Yuna was there again. He laid down the glass, glancing her at leisure and saw the blood on her hand at once. He suddenly said in a cold voice, "What happened?"

Jay felt nervous and said, "They fought with Miss Xu. Her hand hasn't healed yet. They didn't mean to hurt her... I'll call the doctor right now!"

Before Jay leaving, Wesley tore down the bedside phone and called the doctor's office. Jay became more nervous and said, "Brother Wesley..."

Wesley gave him a cold glance and said, "Go away! Do you forget the rules?"

Jay clenched his teeth and said, "I see!"

He walked out of the ward and pointed at the two guys who had hurt Yuna. "Go downstairs and run 10 kilometers."

Jason was shocked; he asked, "Are you serious? Who's Miss Xu? Why does Brother Wesley punish us for her!?"

"Did you hurt your brain when playing online games?" Jay glanced Jason with disdain and said, "Not only was Miss Xu told about Brother Wesley's injury in no time, but also did she come here from China. Who do you think she is?"

Jason got his point at once, blaming himself for not being sagacious, then he went downstairs to run laps.

In the ward, there seemed to be a kind of awkward atmosphere.

Yuna stood there, feeling angry; Wesley coldly stared at her and said, "Come here!"

Without looking at Wesley, Yuna slowly stepped to the sickbed. All of a sudden, he gently held her right hand and pressed the wound to stop it from bleeding.

All her angry broke into pieces; she surprisingly looked at Wesley's charming fingers, unable to hold back her unique feelings for him.

She had been injured many times; most of the time, she had dressed the wounds herself; even when she was seriously injured, she had always been alone in the ward to recover.

No one had ever pressed her wound to stop her from bleeding.

However, when Wesley did that way, she felt that... she didn't deserve it.

Yuna's sense of reason told her that she should withdraw her hand.

While her sensibility asked her to continue enjoying the way he cared about her, even if it was just her wishful illusion.

She obeyed her inner desire.

Half a minute later, the Spanish-speaking doctor and nurse went into the ward and asked Yuna to sit on the sofa.

Yuna subconsciously looked at Wesley and found that he had let go of her hand. With the usual cold look on his face, he said, "Did you hear what the doctor said? Sit on the sofa!"

The skillful doctor bandaged Yuna's wound within minutes, then he asked her not to get wet and left the ward.

Yuna watched them leaving and thought, "Maybe... I can go with the doctor."

Thinking of the young men outside who were strong and combative, Yuna gave up that idea.

"It's not safe outside," Wesley suddenly said; he seemed to have seen through Yuna. "Don't go anywhere."

After being in a daze for a while, Yuna asked, "Do you mean that... there are Rowdy's men outside?" With that, she proudly gave him a smile. "Wesley, you're worrying about me."

Wesley sneered and said, "You'd better not cause me any trouble. If you are caught by his men..."

"Will you rescue me?" Yuna interrupted Wesley, while her beautiful eyes were full of expectations.

"..."

"..."

"What do you think?"

Wesley didn't say he wouldn't rescue her. However, from his disdain, Yuna could see that he was laughing at her for her wishful thinking and that she had overrated herself.

All of a sudden, Yuna felt like her heart was being soaked into the freezing water, then it got colder and colder.

She tried to behave in an elegant, chic way and said, "I'll stay here, and they can't catch me!"

Wesley was silent; he ignored Yuna and began to deal with some emergency affairs on the computer.

Yuna cleared away all her disappointments and lay down on the sofa.

Without using a cellphone or going out, she couldn't get in touch with Rowdy to tell him that his goods would be in trouble.

However, she wasn't worried at all; instead, she felt more than relaxed.

In that case, even if Rowdy questioned her about it one day, she would have sufficient reasons to justify herself.

She had turned a blind eye to most of Rowdy's businesses; however, she had always frowned upon his narcotics business.

She knew well how those would harm a person. She thought, "It's a good idea to sink them into the sea, then fewer people will be harmed."

By the way, she respected Wesley because he had never set foot in the narcotics business.

Wesley, a stubborn, domineering and callous man who would end a person's life as he liked, had never set foot in that business, even if he had many convenient channels and it could profit him a lot.

"Wesley, have you seen The Ghost?" Yuna suddenly asked.

Wesley didn't look away from his computer screen and asked, "What's that?"

"A romantic film." Yuna said, "It says that a kind person like the hero in it will go to Heaven after death, while a bad guy will be dragged into Hell by devils."

Wesley disapprovingly smiled and said, "Do you mean that I'll go to Hell after I die?"

"No, just the opposite." Yuna smirked as she looked at the ceiling. "I think you can go to Heaven."

"..."

Yuna continued saying, "You are not so upright, but you are not a bad guy, because you have never committed heinous crimes. When one of Kai's men's mother was sick, you gave him money and helped cure her. You're indeed a kind man, and the angels will take you to Heaven."

Beyond her expectation, Wesley was listening. After she finished her words, he asked with interest, "How about you?"

Yuna's beautiful eyes dimmed at once.

She thought, "As for me? I've been working for Rowdy, but I've never thought if I'm doing wrong or right. Maybe I'll be dragged into Hell by devils, right?"

"Whatever, that will only happen after I die. Now that I'm alive, I'd like to have a fantasy."

Yuna solemnly said, "I will hold your legs and go to Heaven with you. Brother Wesley, I wish you won't kick me away."

Then Yuna kept speaking, and Wesley listened while working. Afterwards he didn't hear clearly what she was saying and occasionally replied "oh".

Yuna didn't care whether Wesley was bored or interested; she just kept talking.

After a while, the ward sank into quietness. Wesley looked toward the sofa-with a pillow in her arms, Yuna had huddled herself up and fallen asleep.

He took a blanket and got out of bed, then he lifted his arms to place the blanket on Yuna.

Yuna held the blanket, then she turned over and slept deeper.
