Chapter 450 I Don't Mind Giving You Some Guidance

Joanne thought for a while, then she shook her head and said, "We'd better not, you know?"

After a pause, she continued her analysis, "According to Gavin and Wendy's personalities, there should be a step-by-step process for them to walk into a relationship. Now they are in a hazy and beautiful stage. If we suddenly go and tell them that they like each other, they will be scared. It would be better if we just leave them alone. After the chaos continues for some time, they will be aware of their feelings for each other."

Brian looked thoughtfully at Joanne for a while and said, "The saying 'being stupid for three years after pregnancy' doesn't apply to my dear wife."

Joanne smiled and asked, "Are you praising me?"

"Yes." That time, Brian was frank and straightforward, without hiding his admiration.

"Oh." Joanne couldn't help smiling and said, "Thank you for that!"

As soon as her voice died down, a gust of wind blew past her cheeks; it lifted her black hair, which made her smiling face in the sun more charming than ever.

It impressed Brian. He held Joanne's shoulders to make her turn around, then he lowered his head and kissed her on the lips.

Joanne was surprised, but she reacted immediately. With a smile, she opened her mouth in response to Brian's kiss.

Since the day she was discharged from the hospital, the most intimate act between her and Brian was nothing more than kissing.

Even so, Brian still kissed slowly with gentleness, as if he had practiced all his movements hundreds of times, which sometimes made Joanne wonder if she was a porcelain that couldn't bear any impact.

She had told Brian, "I don't vomit anymore and I have a better appetite than ever. I'm getting heavier. Dr. Hans also says that I'm fine. You don't need to be that careful."

Brian just ignored her words and said, "Dr. Hans also says that your case is rare, and there is still a possibility of a relapse."

In that case, he had to be careful to prevent any accidents from occurring.

As for what he would suffer, it was not on his list.

Brian didn't use to be that careful, which over time made Joanne come up with the idea of teasing him.

However, Brian not only took care of her all the time but also restrained himself. Every time when they kissed each other, he had stopped in time to avoid embarrassing her or lose control of himself.

Just like then, although he couldn't help kissing her, he could still release her in time, preventing his mind from being under the control of any other things.

Therefore, she had never gotten the chance to tease him!

Joanne gnawed her lower lip with her eyes on Brian, and after a while, she suddenly realized that they weren't at home but on an island!

"An island, a detached chalet, a quiet night... aha," she thought, "Maybe tonight is a chance for me, isn't it?"

While Joanne was still pondering, she suddenly heard Brian's low voice. "Joanne, don't look at me like that."

In his eyes, she was gnawing her plump lip with childlike innocence, while her bright peach-blossom-like eyes were blinking and rolling with inimitable charm that he found attractive.

"She is teasing me," he thought.

Joanne noticed that Brian's eyes were burning with desire, the result she had been looking forward to. She tilted her head and intentionally asked with a smile, "Love, what's wrong?"

Her childlike and fascinating look disturbed Brian's breathing. However, he could do nothing but hold her in his arms with love and desire, while whispering to her,

"Don't go too far. You're expected to deliver in two months."

He meant that she wouldn't have many chances left to tease him like that.

Joanne didn't get Brian's point at all. She counted with her fingers and said, "One, two, three... well, there are still 60 nights. What a long time, right?"

"There are only 60 days left in 300 days," Brian narrowed his eyes and said, "So, that's fine with me."

"..." Joanne didn't expect Brian to think like that and suddenly felt a chill on her back.

At that moment, Brian was like a beast that had spent 300 days in hibernation to strengthen his body. Once he went on the offensive, in the end...

Joanne didn't dare to think about it anymore and made a hollow laugh. As if she were performing the Fast Mask-Changing Show, with a serious look on her face, she instantly said, Let's continue talking about Gavin and Wendy..."

Outside the chalet on the shore.

After placing her baggage in the chalet, Wendy couldn't wait to rush out of it, and she ran into Yuna and Wesley.

She had met Yuna before. Although she didn't know her well, at least she made her acquaintance.

In contrast, Wesley, as well as his face, was new to her.

It was a stunning face that was different from Brian's and Gavin's. His chiseled facial features looked cool with a mysterious dark aura; dangerous and charming, which were eye-catching while not easy for others to approach.

Wendy thought, "He's so damn handsome! If only I could have a boyfriend like him!"

Gavin tutted when he noticed Wendy's fangirl expression. Without figuring out his inner feelings, he strode over to stand between Wendy and Wesley.

He pretended to introduce them to each other and said, "Wesley, she's Joanne's cousin-Wendy." With that, he looked at Wendy and said, "Come on. You should call him Uncle Hayes."

Wendy,"..."

Yuna burst into laughter. She glanced at Wesley and said, "Brother Wesley is not very young, but he's not as old as to be her uncle... isn't he?"

"Oh, I didn't mean that Brother Wesley was old." Gavin glanced at Wendy critically and pretended with a serious look. "She is still too young to be polite, and I was asking her to show her respect!"

Wendy ignored Gavin and waved to Wesley. "Brother Wesley, my cousin and brother-in-law mentioned you. We finally meet!"

Wesley was very surprised by the young lady's good manners. He nodded, giving Gavin a glance and said to Wendy, "Since you are Joanne's cousin, I'll treat you as Brian's sister. If anyone dares to bully you, just come to me. I know very well how to teach a lesson."

Wendy nodded happily and made a threatening gesture toward Gavin. "Did you hear that?"

With hands in his trousers' pockets, Gavin snorted with disdain, then he turned and walked away.

Not only did he hear it, but he also knew that Wesley had said that on purpose!

He thought, "I was just asking Wendy to call you uncle. How come you want to teach me a lesson?"

It was the first time for Wendy to realize that Gavin could easily get annoyed. She caught up with him and said, "Gavin, stop. I want to have a word with you!"

Gavin just ignored her. As Wendy chased him, he quickened his paces. That way, the two soon walked away, with Wesley and Yuna left far behind.

Owing to his long legs, Wesley could stride, and not long afterward, only Yuna was left behind. She ran over to him while shouting, "Uncle Hayes!"

Frowning, Wesley stopped there. He turned around and stared at Yuna, with a dangerous look on his face.

Yuna touched her nose and said, "What's wrong? Wendy is about the same age as me. Since she's supposed to call you uncle, so am I!"

Wesley turned his lips into a meaningful smile. With an indescribable evil look on his face he said, "I don't mind, only if... you call me like that at night."

At night... calling him uncle...

Yuna thought, "damn! What an evil man!"

Yuna shoveled a pile of sand with her toes and kicked it toward Wesley. With a blushing face, she roared, "fuck off!"

Beyond her expectation, the wind was blowing to her face with the sand, and as she roared, it filled her mouth.

"Pooh!"

Yuna quickly wiped her face clean while spitting out the sand, feeling rather crestfallen.

She thought, "damn! Wesley, you buster!"

After seeing Yuna's discomposure, Wesley handed her a bottle of water and said, "Clean your face."

Yuna was too mad to take care of her face. She took a mouthful of water, and when she was about to spit it out, she came up with an idea. Then she turned her head toward Wesley-

"Mineral water offensive!

Wesley reacted very quickly and before Yuna spat, he dodged in time. However, due to the blast of wind, the mineral water spray splashed across his face.

Although he didn't suffer from mysophobia, he could never tolerate being touched by what others spat out.

All of a sudden, Wesley looked sullen with his eyes angrily fixed on Yuna. "You must have a serious death wish, right?"

Yuna sneered and said, "Anyway, you pick on me all the time!"

She had demanded an end to their after-work affair, but Wesley simply stated that she was dicing with death. What's more, instead of promising what she had wanted, he tormented her in various ways every day.

She finally realized it was impossible for Wesley to give what she wanted, just like he wouldn't let her go once her cover was blown.

She thought, "In that case, I still have the chance to take revenge. Why not? Nobody said I can't fight back when Wesley bullies me, right?"

Wesley cleaned his face and said with a feigned smile, "Yuna, you have a lot of nerve."

"It's all thanks to you, Brother Wesley," Yuna shrugged with a smile and said, "Thanks to working for you, I became experienced, and I've learned a lot. By the way, I've gotten much more nerve."

A faint smile crossed Wesley's lips as he said, The day before yesterday, you told me that you wanted to end our relationship, didn't you?"

Since he had told her not to mention it anymore, Yuna had thought that there was no hope. She wondered, But now, why does Wesley mention it himself? Is he going to promise me?"

Yuna nodded at once and said, "Yes!"

Wesley said, "Tell me how experienced you are now, and what you have learned from me. I'll consider promising you based on that."

Yuna hadn't expected that Wesley would be that nice. She looked at him in bewilderment and asked, "What on earth do you want to know?"

"I'm wondering." Wesley walked up to Yuna and looked down at her. "If you're more experienced in intimacy and learned a lot about it. Have you?"

Yuna knew well that Wesley could never be that nice.

However, she thought, "Do you think such a question will scare me?"

Yuna calmly rolled her eyes at Wesley and said, "I feel sorry for you because you got it wrong. I learned about it long before. You should have at least seen how fish swim even if you haven't enjoyed fish. Now that you ask me about it, I don't mind giving you some guidance tonight."
