Chapter 459 Chris's "Breakfast"

Freya was not the sort of timid person who would easily run away from trouble. She kicked the quilt aside vigorously and said, "Right now!"

She washed up as fast as she could and then followed Chris to the coast.

In the early morning, the sea breeze with salty smells felt mild and pleasantly cool.

Freya stretched herself, pretending to be relaxed and asked, "What are you going to talk with me about?"

"Freya." Chris turned around to look at Freya and asked in a calm tone, "How did you feel while being together these days?"

Freya began to ponder. Those months, Chris and her had been very compatible.

They worked hard, and when they were at home, they always stayed together and snuggled up to each other. Most of the time they were very happy.

Even if they quarreled, it didn't last long because Chris would often seek to reconcile with a sudden kiss, after which they would continue enjoying their time together.

Sometimes, they gave each other surprises, and that made them happy for days.

Days like that were happy for Freya and she couldn't deny it. She nodded and said, "I felt good!"

Chris suddenly said, "After our wedding, we will still be the same as before. It won't change much. You see?"

It still seemed cloudy to Freya, and she said, "...Go on."

"I know what's worrying you." Chris said in a leisurely manner, "Life will change if we get married. But the changes won't prevent you from living a life like it used to be. After the wedding, you will still be Freya, and you can do whatever you want. If you don't want to bear the so-called family responsibilities, you can count on me."

"..." Freya didn't want to admit that she was touched, but she felt warm at heart.

In the past 25 years, her parents had given her complete freedom, and she had been living a carefree life at liberty, thus she was very afraid of being tied down.

However, marriage and family was a kind of shackle, and that was why she became anxious before their wedding, even deserting.

Not only did Chris not blame her, but also told her that she could count on him if she didn't want to face or handle the responsibilities.

"Chris." Freya rubbed her eyes, and it seemed that she was laughing and crying at the same time. She said, "I think I am very irresponsible!"

Marriage and family were related to both of them, but she sneaked away at the critical juncture. She thought, "It's irresponsible of me to do that, isn't it?"

"It doesn't matter. I'm with you." Chris touched Freya's head and said, "Go back with me and attend our wedding. The rest is up to me. If you don't want your life to change, it won't. But there is one thing we need to talk about."

Freya felt a sense of foreboding instead of being moved. She asked cautiously, "What is it?"

"About your leaving without telling me." Chris looked more and more serious. "Freya, we will be man and wife, and we'll spend the rest of our lives together. If there is anything wrong, you should frankly talk with me, instead of going to a place without me. In case of..." With that, he paused.

Freya tentatively asked, "What?"

Chris sighed and continued to say, "Have you ever thought of the chance of you having an accident?" He sounded serious, and worried as well.

Freya suddenly realized that when Chris could not find her, he was much more worried and even frightened, other than angry.

However, even so, Chris didn't mean to blame her at all.

Thinking about his position, if it were Chris who had suddenly disappeared and made her worried, she would have lost her temper, let alone talking with him in a calm mood.

The more Freya thought about it, the more ashamed she felt. She lowered her head and said, "I see. I did wrong."

Freya was a tough person who would not easily apologize. Chris's anger, which he had been holding back, was extinguished by her rare good attitude. He sounded cold but not angry anymore.

"Just this once."

Realizing that he had let her off, Freya breathed a sigh of relief and said boldly, "By the way, why aren't you angry? You must think that we will spend our lives together, and anger will destroy us!"

Chris gave Freya a cool glance, snorting slightly. He said, "If I get angry each time you do wrong, within years, you will anger me to death."

Freya,"..."

She knew that she was in the wrong. She jumped on Chris's back with coquetry and said, "Carry me back and I'll give you a real surprise!"

"Surprise?" Chris smiled and said, "I think I'd better forget about it."

Even so, Chris reached out to hold Freya and carried her back to the chalet.

Satisfied, Freya hugged Chris's neck from behind while resting her chin on his shoulder. She slightly tilted her head toward him, with her lips and his ears nearly touching.

Somehow she wanted to play a prank on him, so she gently breathed and whispered, "Dear..."

Freya was not clingy. Aside from particular situations, she had never called Chris in that intimate way.

Chris had more or less seen through Freya. He tried to warn her and said, "Stop it!"

However, Freya didn't do as he asked. Instead of stopping, she became even more excited. Chris could only control his breathing and tolerate it.

Back at the chalet, Chris closed the door and put Freya down almost at the same time. Then he pressed her against the door, gazing at her with his seemingly lake-deep dark eyes that were going to possess her and said, "As you wish."

Freya raised her eyebrow and gave Chris a provocative look. "Come on."

Without a word, Chris cupped Freya's chin and kissed her lips, while Freya calmly opened her mouth to respond.

It seemed that the two were in a rivalry, and they tangled themselves up all the way into the room...

That was the so-called "giving up their hatred with a kiss."

What had happened between them before, or what was happening outside then, was none of their business.

At that moment, they only had each other in their eyes.

In the restaurant by the sea.

Except for Chris and Freya, the other six people were all waiting for breakfast in the restaurant.

Wendy checked the time, wondering that even if Freya and Chris were fond of sleep, they should have woken up by then. She volunteered to ask them to have breakfast with them and said, "The more, the merrier."

Gavin tutted and quickly stopped Wendy. He said tactfully, "They will come if they are hungry."

"But they may oversleep." Wendy was very simple, so she didn't get Gavin's point at all. She said, "I'll go and wake them up. Anyway, they are not far from here."

Gavin felt vexed, deciding to make himself clearer, then he said, "Today is the weekend. It's okay if they don't have breakfast. Besides, maybe your cousin is now enjoying his 'breakfast'! Don't go there to disturb them. Just stay here!"

"..." Wendy became rather confused-"My cousin is enjoying his 'breakfast'. What did he mean?"

She thought, "The breakfast at the restaurant isn't ready yet. There are only my cousin and his wife in their chalet, right?"

With that, Wendy suddenly realized something, and her little face blushed at once. She picked up the cup, lowered her head and took a swig of coffee.

She thought, "It's so embarrassing. I won't do it again!"

"We'll go back tomorrow morning, right?" Yuna asked with interest, "What's your plan for today?"

Hearing that, Wendy subconsciously looked at Gavin.

Although she didn't think highly of him, she knew that it was wise to follow his advice when it came to having fun, so she waited for him to speak with a longing look.

Gavin noticed Wendy's gaze directed at him. He snorted inwardly with pride and waited for a while to enjoy being expected. When he was about to speak, he was surprisingly interrupted by Wesley-

Wesley said coldly to Yuna, "You are going to a place with me today."

Yuna asked in bewilderment, "Do you mean that I can't stay with Joanne or the others?"

Wesley smiled and said at leisure, "Yes. You can't."

Yuna,"..."

After breakfast, Chris and Freya did not show up. Gavin and Brian left with their men. Yuna, who thought she was unlucky, could only follow Wesley as he asked.

Wesley took Yuna to the coast, where there was a yacht waiting for them.

"Go." Wesley pointed to the yacht and said, "And, turn off your phone and give it to me."

"Before that, can I call my grandmother?" Yuna said, "I have been on the island for so many days, and I only called her once."

Wesley checked the time and said, "No, you can't. We need to hurry. It's just a call. You can call her after you return." With that, he reached out to Yuna.

Yuna pursed her lips and reluctantly handed her phone over.

The moment she handed her phone to Wesley, she felt the phone vibrate. It seemed that there was a call, but Wesley quickly hung up.

Yuna almost got mad. She shouted, "Why did you hang up? What if it was something very important?"

"Nothing is more important than what I'm going to tell you." Wesley turned off Yuna's phone, placed it in his pocket and said, "Get on the yacht!"

Yuna didn't know what she had missed, nor did she know that her family in Glasgow had undergone sweeping changes. Under the threat of Wesley, she boarded the yacht.

Soon, the yacht bore away and sailed toward an unknown direction.

Yuna stood on the deck and looked at the boundless sea. All of a sudden, she felt dizzy, and immediately after that, the familiar tingling sensation hit her.

It was like countless knives having been thrust into her head at the same time, and everything in front of her eyes suddenly became blurry as if there were mosaics. Before she could clasp her head in her hands, all the symptoms disappeared.

If that happened only once, she could call it accidental. However, that had happened time and again, and she realized that there had to be something wrong.

Somehow, Yuna had a bad feeling.

It wasn't because of her physical problems. She knew that her life was about to experience a misfortune...
