At the foot of some mountain by the frontier of Cressington.
The sky was finally lit up. Yuna stepped on the brakes and the car which had run overnight in the darkness finally rested by the road side.
Yuna took a look at the driving record.
Five hundred kilometers.
She had escaped in the darkness driving throughout the night. When dawn came, she was already five hundred kilometers away from Wesley.
Well, it was actually not difficult to get away from the one you loved. Although she was in tremendous pain, the sun rose and set as usual.
Yuna looked at the road which surrounded the mountain and found no end to it. It was like the road of her destiny. No one would lead her. No one would tell her how it would be.
For several minutes, Yuna was in a blank until she suddenly recalled her grandma's death and the words Auntie Sun told her before she left.
Auntie Sun said that her grandma didn't blame her and believed that she did everything for a reason. She just hoped that she could have a good life.
She would live on, only for her grandma's sake. But the prerequisite would be that she could survive after her revenge.
Thinking about it, the blankness in Yuna's eyes gradually faded. It was replaced by great firmness.
She opened the backpack Kai had prepared for her and took out some water and a compressed biscuit. She roughly ate some of it and wanted to start the car again.
She couldn't waste a second because she wasn't sure whether Wesley would send someone to get her.
But the minute she tried the accelerator, a dazed and painful feeling struck her head hard.
For a short while, Yuna couldn't see or think anything clearly. She felt as if she would die the next second.
But a moment later, all the discomforts disappeared like in the past and everything went back to normal.
There was one thing for sure; she suffered the pain and the dizziness for a longer period.
Yuna held the driving wheel and pressed her head with her hand.
If she didn't guess wrongly, those feelings had to be side effects from the car accident in Arlington. But she never wondered how serious they were.
But it didn't matter. After she caught the one who killed her grandma, her health would not matter anymore. She could die.
Thinking about it, Yuna forgot about the discomfort. She stepped on the accelerator and the car ran on the endless road again.
Cressington was a second line city which was quite far from Glasgow. It was the place where Rowdy temporarily resided. If Wesley sent someone to stop her, she had to get to Rowdy's place and ask him to get help. Thus, she could smoothly go back to Rowdy.
An hour later, the warm sunshine had driven away the morning coldness. The dew started to evaporate. The whole land was heated by the sun, eventually becoming extremely hot.
Yuna's car drove to the downtown area of Cressington and stopped in front of a casino.
She walked out of the car and went directly inside. The waiter by the counter saw her and asked smilingly, "Miss, good morning. Are you here to play chess or cards?"
Indeed, on the surface, it was only a normal club.
Yuna placed her backpack on the counter. Her cold eyes met the waitress' eyesight and said, "Who's in charge here?"
The woman stopped and felt cold behind her back.
The place had welcomed many respected and powerful men; she used to think that she had seen a lot of the great scene. But the woman in front of her... how to describe it? She seemed harmless, but those sharp eyes seemed to cut everything through and it was frightening.
The waitress called the manager right away.
After a short while, a middle-aged man in suit and leather shoes rushed out from an office. Yuna observed his appearance and behavior. He was normal, only having the shrewd look of a normal businessman. He wasn't one of Rowdy's followers who should be cruel.
She coldly stared at the manager. "I'm not looking for you. The one above you."
In normal days, the club's affairs would always be handled by this manager. No ordinary person knew there was a big boss behind who handled everything else.
The manager was curious about Yuna's background. He carefully observed her and thought she wasn't one of Rowdy's followers.
It was known to all that Rowdy's men were famous for their bloody cruelty. But that young girl, fierce as she was, she looked like a good person.
The manager considered Yuna as a policewoman undercover so he just smiled. "Miss, I'm the manager here and I'm also the one in charge..."
"I hate nonsense!" Yuna narrowed her eyes. She lifted her foot and kicked the manager out.
Seeing the situation, the waitress hid herself under the desk. The manager who fell on the ground screamed. When he wanted to stand up, Yuna quickly reached out and stepped on his shoulder.
No one knew how Yuna used her strength. She looked so easy while the manager under her foot couldn't move a bit.
"I have an emergency. Call the person in charge out!" Yuna's foot stepped deeper and the manager's scream got louder. She was satisfied and continued, "Or I'll let you have a try at how it feels to live in the department of orthopedics in a nearby hospital."
"Who the hell are you?" The manager was about to cry.
"There is no need for you to know." Yuna added pressure on her foot, "Call the person in charge now!"
Before the manager asked, someone had already rushed over-
A man who was a little over thirty. He had a strong body and short hair. There was a scary scar between his eyebrows and had tattoos of a dragon and a tiger... Yuna was satisfied.
However, the man's expression was quite against his temperament.
"Yuna, right? My name is Wang Hu. They all call me Brother Hu. You can just call me Tiger." Wang Hu warmly welcomed Yuna and looked at her up and down. "Brother Rowdy called me last night and told me that you escaped from Wesley's men and possibly try to look for me in Cressington. I waited for you for all night!" After a pause, he seemed to have something else to say, "It's... really unbelievable. The strongest girl under Brother Rowdy's tutelage has this appearance."
Yuna had another name in Rowdy's group. To others, the name was even more mysterious than Rowdy's. It was because they always just knew the name and what she had solved recently. But they had never seen her and she had never been to any party.
If her status as a spy beside Wesley hadn't been exposed, they wouldn't have even known her real name.
In their imagination, Yuna should be like Angelina Jolie in Mr. & Mrs. Smith who was gorgeous, cruel and daring.
But in fact, Yuna looked quite natural and innocent.
"Give me the phone." Yuna ignored Wang Hu's gaze and coldly reached out her hand, "I want to get in touch with Rowdy. But I would be discovered as soon as I turn on my phone."
"Okay!" Wang Hu gave her his phone and suddenly recalled something, "Well, the password is..."
Before Wang Hu told her the password, Yuna had easily cracked it and dialed Rowdy's number.
The call was soon connected and there came Rowdy's voice, "Yuna?"
"..."
Only Rowdy would call Yuna with that endearing name. Not even her loving grandma had called her like that.
There was a time when Yuna was happy because of those two words, thinking she was different from the others in Rowdy's mind. Rowdy was nicer to her than to the others. She had hoped that he would fall in love with her, dreaming that she would spend the rest of her life with him.
At that time, her crazy obsession made her lose her sanity and good judgement. She had never questioned whether there was any other purpose behind his sweetness.
After carefully thinking about that, Rowdy might have been simply taking advantage of her. He used her obsession, giving her some care to make her his obedient weapon.
When she had seen through all that, it was already too late. At the cost of losing her grandma.
Yuna slightly took a deep breath and maintained her regular tone, "It's me."
Rowdy who was on the other side of the phone released a long breath. "You got out successfully."
Yuna pretended that she didn't want to talk about it anymore, "I'll talk about it with you later when I'm back in Arlington."
"Okay." Rowdy's voice revealed his care. "You can rest at Wang Hu's place for half a day. I'll send someone to pick you up. I heard that Wesley was looking for you. But don't worry. I won't let him find you."
Yuna slightly uttered "um", which had no sign of happiness or sorrow. Then she hung up and gave the phone back to Wang Hu.
Then Wang Hu finally recovered from the shock after seeing how his phone password had been so easily cracked. He gave a room card to Yuna. "According to what Brother Rowdy said, I prepared a suite for you on the top floor. You can have a rest there. None of Wesley's followers will find this place."
"Thanks."
Yuna took over the card and went directly upstairs without glancing at Wang Hu for a second.
To be honest, the suite Wang Hu prepared for her was pretty nice, with a wide cozy bed and an excellent view. Besides, the bathroom and the rest of the accommodations were the best. There was nothing to be particular about.
But she was not in the mood to enjoy.
She pushed in the card to get the electricity. Then Yuna casually threw the bag onto the bed and quickly shut the curtain.
The bigger the window was, the more possibilities there were for her to get shot. It was for the best to stay low-key in her current situation."
The room lost the natural light and was suddenly trapped in darkness. Yuna stood there in a blank for quite a while. Then she realized that she should take a shower first.
She poured out the stuff from the backpack out and found a suit of comfortable and convenient clothes.
She had to admit... Kai had the potential to be a woman's friend.
After a short bath, Yuna threw herself in the bed.
She really escaped from Wesley's hand.
But she didn't feel as if she had escaped from a disaster, not to mention the lucky feeling and happiness.
She missed Wesley a lot and she wanted to know, was he happy or angry after finding out that she was still alive?
