Yuna held the quilt and turned around, thinking that Wesley had to be very angry.
He had ordered that she had to die but she escaped.
For Wesley, it would be equal to challenging his authority, which was absolutely intolerable.
But she had escaped. So Wesley couldn't do anything to her.
Thinking about it, Yuna closed her eyes. Before falling asleep, she gently whispered,
"Goodbye, Wesley."
The moment she decided to be Wesley's woman, Yuna had prepared to leave him someday. She clearly knew that she and Wesley had no future.
The day had finally arrived. But she had promised herself that she couldn't be sad for too long.
Besides, what she was about to face was more than an emergency. She had to put away the terrible emotions as soon as possible in case Rowdy would suspect.
As for Wesley and her, they'd better... never see each other again.
While thinking, Yuna slowly fell asleep. Before she lost her consciousness, a teardrop fell from her eye. She firmly closed her eyes and made the tear untraceable.
Nobody would ever know she had cried for Wesley...
Yuna didn't sleep for too long. She automatically woke up at noon and then she heard the doorbell ringing.
She cautiously took out a gun from the bag and held it to the door. She asked with full alertness, "Who is it?"
"It's me, Wang Hu." Wang Hu's excited voice went through the door. "The person sent by Brother Rowdy arrived and I've got your lunch ready. You see..."
"I know." Yuna sounded quiet, and she didn't put the gun down. "You can leave now. I'll go downstairs later."
"Okay, see you soon!" Wang Hu's voice sounded normal. Then he left.
Yuna heard Wang Hu's steps as they went farther and farther. After she was assured that there was nothing to be worried about, she put the gun behind her waist, pushed the door open and walked out.
The man sent by Rowdy was called Quintin Grant, who was deeply trusted by Rowdy. Rowdy once said that he believed that Quintin was the only one who would never betray him.
All those years Quintin had been following Rowdy, and he was always valued. Since he was being sent there to get her, it was pretty simple for Yuna to see what Rowdy thought.
To be frank, Rowdy was still suspicious of her. He sent Quintin to pick her up, which could not only assure her safety but also let him check if Yuna had changed her mind.
At the first sight of Yuna, Quintin doubted. "Didn't you escape from Wesley's followers? Why didn't you get hurt?"
Several years back, Quintin and Yuna had been trained by Rowdy together. From the first time they met, they had always given each other a hard time.
Since they were both of great help to Rowdy but they had an awful relationship, they used every chance they had to ironize and suspect each other.
Their strengths were similar. But Quintin couldn't possibly win against her in quarreling. So Quintin was definitely looking for death.
Yuna didn't answer. Instead, she asked Quintin, "You think I should get hurt?"
Quintin coldly smiled, "I know who Wesley is. You couldn't possibly get away from him safely and completely."
"For you, it's impossible. But for me, it's not too difficult." Yuna reasonably waved her hand. "I just escaped from Wesley's grasp without much effort."
"It's impossible!" Quintin's eyes were sharp, as if they would burn and expose Yuna's true face. "Yuna, there has to be something fishy!"
Yuna smiled. "Quintin, I hate people like you the most. In your mind, the things you can't do can never be finished by others. If someone succeeds, you think it was thanks to some trick."
After a pause, Yuna helplessly glanced at Quintin. "Okay, I admit I used a trick. But it's a trick you can't learn-"
Quintin didn't want to lose. "You don't dare to tell me?"
Yuna shrugged, "I seduced one of Wesley's followers. At last, he found that he really didn't want me to die, so he let me go." Yuna carefully looked at Quintin and gave him a desperate eye, "Beauty and loveliness are inborn. You... are too awful. You will never understand it for the rest of your life."
"Yuna, don't try to annoy me with those words." Quintin delivered a new phone to Yuna. "I will keep my eyes on you. You'd better be careful... don't give me the chance!"
"You should be careful too." Yuna said with contempt as she unwrapped the phone, to later throw the old one to the garbage can. "I hear that you haven't made any progress recently. Maybe you'll be a dead man before I reveal something."
The minute she finished her words, the new phone was turned on. Yuna slid a new SIM card and shook it in front of Quintin's eyes. Then she put on an innocent smile to say, "Thank you."
Then she walked directly to the diner to enjoy her lunch.
She forced herself to adjust her emotions in order that nobody could see anything strange from her reactions. It seemed that things were going well. Even if Quintin suspected her, he had no proof.
But it was undeniable that Quintin would get in the way of her plan. If she had the chance, she had to get rid of Quintin first.
After lunch, Quintin took her to the helicopter which went back to Arlington.
Arlington was not far from Cressington, so it only took them less than two hours to land on a private hardstand.
Yuna got out of the aircraft and saw Rowdy waiting for her in a nearby distance at the first sight, just like that time many years before.
That time, after she finished her training, she was assigned a task which would be finished with several seniors. It was a tough task and Rowdy reminded her in advance that it didn't matter if she failed as long as she tried her best.
However, while fulfilling the task, she had some unknown power and smoothly finished it.
When they went back to the base, she got out of the plane and saw Rowdy instantly. He was standing near and smiling at her as if he specially waited there for her successful return.
By then, her happiness was even bigger than how she felt after finishing the task. She even felt it was worthwhile to get hurt during the mission.
But her heart was completely dead at the moment. She wanted to slap herself every time she remembered the excitement and joy she had back then.
Rowdy walked over and looked at Yuna. "What's wrong?"
Yuna remembered she shouldn't let others see her calmness. But it was fine since she had an excellent excuse.
With a blink, Yuna's eyes turned red. She lowered her eyes, not saying a word.
Rowdy seemed to have understood something. He softly embraced her and said, "Don't be sad. Your grandma wouldn't want to see you like this."
Yuna nodded while still choking. She got out of Rowdy's arms and looked at him with those watery eyes. "Take me back, okay?"
Her expression looked just like the time when she was accidentally saved by Rowdy long ago, full of trust and dependence.
Rowdy wiped off the tears on Yuna's face and his voice sounded particularly gentle. "All right."
He took Yuna back to the old house of the Kent family.
Looking at the quaint house, Yuna suddenly remembered Wesley.
The Hayes Family's old house had a style that was very different from that of the Kangs, but it had the same style when it came to respecting the older generation. Once stepping in, you could feel the respect the current host held for the previous generation.
Amazingly, Wesley and Rowdy were both cruel and bloody.
"Yuna?" Rowdy quietly observed Yuna but his tone was considerate. "Do you need to rest? I can ask someone to arrange a room for you."
"No. I had enough rest this morning." Yuna sat on the couch. "Don't you have questions for me? You can ask me now."
Rowdy's deep eyes stopped on Yuna's face. Her slightest movement couldn't escape his eyes.
He asked, "I received a message that Wesley locked you up. How did you manage to escape?"
Yuna smiled. "Wesley has a follower he trusts the most whose name is Kai. I never knew when I would need his help, so I maintained a good relationship with him. Wesley ordered him to finish me but he couldn't do it in the end and released me. It's possible that I wouldn't have escaped successfully on my own, so it's all thanks to him."
Rowdy stopped for a moment. "He likes you?"
Yuna shrugged and smiled candidly. "Love is blind. He might be severely punished by Wesley when he goes back. But it's none of my business."
Rowdy was apparently satisfied with her reaction. He nodded and asked, "Yuna, what plans do you have next?"
"I only have one plan-to kill Wesley." Her eyes were full of hatred. "I will do everything, if that helps in avenging my grandma, even dying."
"Don't be like this." Rowdy held Yuna's hand. "I will help you."
Yuna's eyes were reddened and she asked blankly, "Can we kill Wesley?"
"We can if you want." Rowdy took out a piece of tissue and passed it to Yuna. "Stop crying."
Yuna lowered her head and covered her eyes with the tissue.
No one saw the cruelty in her eyes.
After a short while, Yuna lifted her head. "Wesley sent people to chase me?"
"I heard something of the sort." Rowdy's eyes turned cold. "Do you still like him?"
"How is that possible?" Yuna coldly hummed, "He murdered my grandma. I want to kill him thousands of times. Like him? Am I crazy?"
"Yuna, don't get excited." Rowdy pressed Yuna and comforted her in a low voice. "Trust me, I'll do your grandma justice."
Yuna covered her eyes and tears flowed out from between her fingers.
Rowdy would do her grandma justice?
Ha, she was there to seek justice for her grandma from Rowdy!
