Chapter 507 We Get Married (2)

Chris stopped for a moment and began to recall the past.

Freya bought Joanne a cup of yogurt when she was in high school. As a result, he told Freya both his contact information and schedule, from then on, Freya would frequently visit him.

He remembered that he scolded Joanne for that. However, he simply smiled and said, "Freya says she wants to marry you, and that she would definitely marry you. In that case, she'll know about your schedule sooner or later. It doesn't matter if she knows now or in the future, does it?"

He simply regarded it as a joke that Freya would marry him back then.

However, it became a reality today. Freya was in a wedding dress he had gotten customized for her.

He had specially chosen Freya's favorite brand alongside its chief designer, it was all to give her a tailored wedding dress with superb craftsmanship and elegant style.

Owing to her career as a model on the catwalk, Freya nailed the look on the wedding dress.

It fitted Freya well and outlined her curvy body. Both Its elegant style and Freya's charm made her look really unique.

Freya's beauty at that moment could be described as... breathtaking.

Chris could only gaze at her, all the while feeling indescribably moved.

He thought he had been ignorant, like those who had spent too much time and energy to reach their happiness through a rough path instead of an easy one.

If he knew that when Freya put on a wedding dress for him and his soul would tremble in happiness, then he would've hugged her hard when Freya confessed to him for the first time, instead of pushing her away.

To his relief, Freya had been waiting for him at the end of that path although he had once made the wrong choice.

Chris smiled and walked toward Freya with firm steps.

Freya stood up and fixed her eyes on Chris who looked more handsome than ever at this very moment, without paying attention to those behind him.

Freya prided herself in seeing the world and holding a big picture of it. However, upon seeing Chris focusing on her with flowers in his hands, she felt her heart racing as if it was about to jump out of her throat.

All the others in the room were quiet at that moment, only the sound of Chris's steps could be heard. They could all feel the couple's excitement.

Joanne and Brian looked at each other and smiled tacitly. The others could also feel their romance besides Chris and Freya's excitement.

Chris stopped in front of Freya, then, he handed her a bouquet of white roses and reached out towards her.

Freya took the bouquet with one hand, and held Chris's hand with the other. The two smiled more brightly as they gazed into one another's eyes.

Gavin finally went into the room when he was finished dealing with the girls outside, he then said, "It's time to hit the road."

Chris walked in the front with Freya, while Brian and Joanne walked hand in hand at the back for fear that she might bump into the crowd.

Joanne whispered to Brian, "I heard that Wendy and those girls are guarding outside as the 12 barriers. How did you reach here in such a short time? What on earth happened?"

Brian leisurely replied, "Those 12 barriers were broken as soon as Gavin told Freya's friends that he could arrange for them to meet their idols."

"..." This was definitely within her expectations.

Joanne only looked at Brian, not knowing what to say.

By now, Chris had already gone downstairs with Freya.

Upon looking at their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. Norris managed to stay calm while Mrs. Norris was about to cry.

Although Freya and Chris were already husband and wife in the legal sense, but for them, when Freya put on a wedding dress and walk out of the house today, this meant that their only daughter was going to marry in the truest sense of the word.

Freya walked up to her mother. "Mom, don't cry."

Mrs. Norris wiped her tears. "I'm just too happy." With this said, she gestured for Freya to lower her head and then closed the bridal veil for her.

It seemed that Mr. Norris had a lot to tell Chris. However, he simply patted his shoulder and said, "Go."

He wanted to tell Chris to take good care of Freya; he wanted to tell him about her likes and dislikes; he also wanted Chris to never to let his daughter down in the future.

However, Mr. Norris realized that it was unnecessary to say all this, because Chris had always made Freya happy.

He would love to see his daughter find her happiness earlier since he knew he would leave him one day.

"Dad, Mom," Chris said solemnly, "We're leaving."

Chris and Freya left the house hand in hand, followed by the young gentlemen and ladies. Then, the two got into a Rolls-Royce Phantom limousine, while the others separately got into their cars. After that, dozens of luxury cars ran toward the church downtown.

They reached the church at 11:30 a.m., precisely when their wedding was scheduled to start.

Mr. Norris helped Freya get out of the car and gestured for her to hold his arm as they had rehearsed, all the while after Chris went into the church with his groomsmen.

Freya smiled and held her father's arm affectionately. "Mr. Norris, are you extremely reluctant to part with me now?"

Mr. Norris responded, "You're not going to marry into a place on the other side of the earth. Why should I feel that way?"

"Anyway, I'm going to get married today." Freya turned and gazed at Mr. Norris. "Aren't you going to miss me?"

Mr. Norris simply said, "No! I'm happy to see you get married because you're always making a mess at home!"

"Well, well." Freya buried her head in her father's shoulder. "I don't want to leave you and mom, that's why I'll definitely come back and see you as long as I'm free. Take it easy. Don't miss me too much!"

Mr. Norris managed to hold back his tears and patted Freya's head. "Let's go. Be serious."

The church gate opened as the symphony of Wagner's Wedding March played.

Through her bridal veil, Freya saw Chris standing upright on the other end of the red carpet, his smiling eyes were focused on her as if he was saying:

I'm waiting for you.

Freya slowed down and solemnly stepped forward with her heart filled with joy and expectations, it was either because of seeing Chris's soulful eyes or hearing the Wedding March that filled up the entire church.

Wendy followed Freya with the other bridesmaids and began to ponder amongst themselves.

She had never dreamed of a wedding. However, at this moment, she couldn't help but wonder whether there would be a man she would love who would be waiting for her on a red carpet, just like what happened to Freya.

Gavin's face sprang to Wendy's mind.

Wendy felt surprised as she blinked, almost as if she just woken up from her dream, trying to get Gavin out of her mind.

She thought to herself, "damn, why am I missing Gavin at this crucial moment? I'm asking for trouble!"

"It's stupid of me to have done that." With this closure in mind, Wendy managed to focus her attention on the wedding.

Mr. Norris had just reached Chris with Freya in tow.

Mr. Norris solemnly placed Freya's hand in Chris's palm, he then patted Chris on the back of his hand. "Chris, I'd like to entrust my only daughter to your care. You're not just taking her hand from mine."

Chris smiled. "Yes. Freya has lived a happy life with you for the past 25 years. I'll take care of her for the rest of my life. Dad, you have my word. I won't let her down, she will be as happy as ever."

Mr. Norris nodded and waved his hand. "Go ahead."

Freya held Chris's arm and walked up to the pastor with anticipation.

The pastor asked the bridegroom and the bride whether they wanted to be bonded for life after reading out the wedding vows.

Freya smiled and said without hesitation, "I do!"

Chris also responded without missing a beat after he was asked the same question, "I do." He sounded firm although his voice wasn't as excited as Freya's.

The pastor nodded and looked at the guests in the church. "Do you want to remember this moment for them?"

They answered in unison, "We do!"

The pastor asked, "Who allowed him to marry her?"

Mr. Norris stood up and said solemnly, "They held this wedding as the bride wished. She married her groom with the blessings from her mother, our friends and relatives, and me."

Chris took Freya's hand for the vow. Freya also did the same according to the customs.

It was time for them to exchange wedding rings.

Gavin and Wendy took the rings to the groom and the bride. After they exchanged the rings, the pastor said, "You may kiss her!"

The young guests in the church began to yell as soon as the solemn ceremony ended. Chris lifted Freya's bridal veil, only to find her cheeks blushed from either excitement or shyness.

In Chris's eyes, his wife, Freya, was the most stunning beauty in the world, regardless of what had made her blush at that moment.

"Freya!" The crowd yelled, "Watch out for his kiss! Haha!"

Chris glanced at the young girl who was yelling and then said, "Zhou Qi? I heard that you want to be a designer in Everbridge Group, but your father wants you to help him with his businesses. Is that true?"

Zhou Qi got Chris's point and said, "Freya, just ignore me. I don't want to run a company or things like that. I just want to work as a designer in Brother Chris's company..."

Chris gently kissed Freya as the others all burst into laughter.

He saw her joy as well as his happy face in her eyes when he stopped kissing Freya.

The two had just experienced the most exciting time of their lives.

Freya suddenly approached Chris and embraced him again. "We got married!"

Chris laughed as he put his arms around Freya's waist. He replied in a soft and contented voice, "Yes, finally."
