Chapter 511 The Dubious Relationship Is Really Grievous

The arrangement plan of the hotel was selected by Freya on her own.

Actually, the planning team had prepared lots of alternatives according to different perspectives, ranging from simple and elegant to luxurious and marvelous, or from freshness to splendor.

Freya didn't care to overthink, and just chose an elegant and simple plan which she liked.

She really liked the style of the hotel and didn't want the design of the wedding to destroy its original beauty.

Secondly, as a model standing at the fashion frontier, she couldn't stand rustic rural styles in any case.

This arrangement might seem too simple to the elders and couldn't imply any status.

But it won the youngster's praise and admiration as expected.

Freya held Chris's arm and pointed at the lobby of the hotel, "I chose this design due to my parents' pressure. How do you like it?"

Very nice." Chris firstly appreciated her choice. Then he leaned over and whispered to Freya's ear, "There will be more praises when we return home tonight."

Praises...

Freya bit her tempting red lips and revealed some expectations through her eyes, "There are still eleven hours... before night comes~"

Just an hour had passed after Freya told Chris in the same tone that he could do everything he wanted to her after twelve hours passed.

At that moment, a spot in Chris's heart started to feel itchy as if something had swept by.

Freya was then emphasizing that there were still eleven hours to go...

There was no doubt that she did it on purpose.

Chris puckered his lips. "Freya, sometimes-time flies quicker than how we imagine." He meant she shouldn't be too daring.

Freya definitely understood Chris's warning, but... she wasn't afraid.

"For me-" Freya smiled glamorously as she replied, "The quicker--the better!"

Chris liked this Freya who was equally competent to him. He nodded and said, "Great."

"Well, could you leave the stickiness for when you're alone at home?" There came Gavin's reminding upstairs, "There are hundreds of people waiting for you on the second floor!"

The battle of intelligence and courage was temporarily over. Chris and Freya both quickly changed their expressions to step on the red carpet and walk upstairs.

The second floor was the largest guest hall. It was surrounded by transparent glass windows on all sides and was able to hold thousands of people. Not only could people see the beautiful view in the garden but also observe the busiest part of the city.

All the guests attending the wedding had been seated in the guest hall.

After Chris and Freya upstairs, Gavin informed the host through the interphone and a slow and gentle voice of a man was heard in the guest hall.

"The bride and the groom have arrived. Let's greet them with our blessings!"

Outside the hall, Chris signaled Freya to hold of his arm. Under the watch of hundreds of eyes, he led Freya on the red carpet and walked into the hall.

Those who sat close by the red carpet were all young men and women. They all held a bottle which could release colorful ribbons. Wherever Chris and Freya, they could hear cracking sounds and then colorful ribbons fell down from upon their heads. With cheers, the hall suddenly became incredibly joyous and noisy.

The long carpet was soon covered with colorful ribbons and both Chris and Freya arrived on the stage.

The man who was hosting their wedding was the most popular emcee back home. He had great fame and elegance and was acquainted with Freya since her Top Model beginnings. He wasn't surprised at all about Freya and Chris's wedding.

The emcee uttered some blessings and it could be seen from his words that he knew Freya pretty well. Instantly, someone asked, "Mr. Ji, did you know Freya when you were in Top Model? Did Freya and Chris start dating then?"

"Mr. Ji, tell us." Someone added to the inquiry, "It's not a secret when the bride started pursuing the groom, but they never said when the groom agreed to the bride's request. We're very curious about it!"

The story about how Chris and Freya got together was not beautiful. During that period, Freya almost lost her parents and Chris almost lost the chance to be with Freya forever.

About that memory, neither of them would like to mention it. So neither of them had clearly answered the question about how they got together or when they got together. The result of their ambiguity was that there were more than a dozen versions going around.

Mr. Ji wore a mysterious smile and answered smartly, "I don't know the accurate time when they started being together. But I can tell you with certainty is that during the competition, the groom went backstage to find the bride more than once. When he didn't go backstage, the groom would watch the bride on first row."

"Damn it!" Some people got excited, "Freya, your relationship with Chris began by then?"

Freya shrugged. "I won't deny it."

"Woo--" The people near the stage cheered.

Freya continued, "But I won't admit it either."

"Ay, Freya, there are things you don't dare to admit?" someone shouted, "I don't believe it. You must have learned Chris's negotiating skills now that you've been with him for so long!"

Freya leaned her head on Chris's shoulder, "His skills... You all want to learn as well? But, it seems that Mr. Scott only wants to teach me."

"They are bold in showing off their love." Some people covered their eyes. "I can't see it anymore. Mr. Ji, you should take over."

Seeing the situation getting out of hand, Mr. Ji stepped out in time and quickly got the situation back in control. Then he signaled the waitress to pass the microphone to Chris. "It's the wedding day. Let's hear what the groom wants to tell us."

Out of politeness, Chris simply appreciated all the guests and was about to put the microphone back when someone shouted, "Wait a minute, Brother Chris. I'd like to ask you a question."

Chris picked up the microphone again and signaled a "please," as a way to ask the man to continue.

As expected, the question was pretty stiff, "Brother Chris, how do you feel after being pursued by Sister Freya who is such a beauty? I want to experience it too!"

Chris smiled, "Don't even think about it. Although there are six billion people on earth, there is only one Freya."

The young man who asked the question looked as if he were about to cry. "Brother Chris, are you trying to tell me that I can't find a wife who is as beautiful as Sister Freya?"

"Yangyang, I'm not saying it against you." Chris's eyes slightly glanced through the hall. "I mean, anyone who wants to experience this feeling can stop dreaming."

Chris didn't look angry at all. But the warning in his tone directly went into everyone's ears.

Chris had been preparing for this warning for a long time.

It was true that Freya had pursued him and it was destined to be a joke to be told for eternity, but he didn't want to laugh at Freya because of it anymore.

The way to make them stop joking was to tell them that he didn't like to hear this kind of joke.

Those who sat in the hall were all bright and naturally understood Chris's warning. They all smiled and stopped talking about it.

Mr. Ji observed the situation and added a few blessings to end the segment. Then he announced the beginning of the wedding and informed everyone, "I heard that no one has dared to get Mr. Scott drunk in ordinary parties. Well, I think-today is a good chance for it."

In the midst of the resulting laughter, Chris led Freya down the stage.

Freya said in a voice which only she and Chris could hear, "In fact, I don't care about it. I've gotten used to it since college."

When they were in college, some boys had been nice to Freya but Freya only replied with one sentence, "Dude, there is someone I like and I've been pursuing him for quite a few years."

In the beginning, not all of them believed her words and they just thought it was an excuse to refuse them. Until then, Freya boldly pursued Chris, which shocked the entire school.

At that time, many people would tease Freya every time they saw her, "Has Chris given you a chance?"

So, Freya had already gotten used to it. Besides, it was true that she had pursued Chris for more than a decade. If they were bored and had nothing to talk about, they could joke about it as much as they liked. She could just laugh with them.

It was apparent that Chris's and Freya's thoughts were not on the same line.

Chris lightly said, "But I care."

Freya smiled, "Can I see it as you being protective of me?"

Chris looked resolute, "You are Mrs. Su now. If I don't protect you, who do you think deserves my protection?"

Freya couldn't help smiling. "Nice! I'll take the wine for you later!"

"..."

Chris desperately thought they would have the chance to enjoy a gentle and soft relationship for their entire lives only if Freya lost her memory.

In fact, when it really started, there were many people who would take the wine for Chris's sake.

The first table was definitely taken by Freya's parents and relatives, so the best men didn't interfere and just saw Chris toasting continuously with them.

The second table was taken by Brian, Joanne and a few good friends of Chris. All of them tried to get Chris drunk.

This was the time to highlight the importance of the best men.

Of the best men, Gavin was the most familiar with them. It took him a few words to stop the wine. So Chris only took a glass while Gavin took the rest of them.

The bridesmaids saw Gavin drinking the wine calmly and his handsome behavior, so they whispered to Wendy, "The more you look at Gavin, the more handsome you find he is. Don't you agree?"

There was suddenly a strange feeling in Wendy's mind when her expression still looked normal, "I think-you have seen him wrongly."

The bridesmaid stopped and then she smiled with some meaning, "We saw it when we were in the auditorium. You're pretty familiar with him, right? Are you developing a relationship?"

Wendy's heart ran wildly and could hardly express herself accurately, "He and I, just, actually almost had a fight..."

The bridesmaid shook her head, "It didn't look like that."

"Because..." After a moment of silence, Wendy still failed to make up a sentence.

By then, the table had been fixed. Chris led Freya to the next table. Gavin turned around and moved his chin in Wendy's direction. "Follow me."

"..." Wendy felt blank.

As expected, the maid pointed at Wendy's elbow, "Hey, are you still not admitting that there's something going on between you two?"

Freya wanted to smile but she just felt sad.

The worst state in a relationship had to be the feelings of doubt.

Dubious relationships were truly grievous-hadn't they heard about it?
