Chapter 581 Joanne, Your Behavior is So Dangerous

After Wendy sent Freya out and came back, she found that the flowers in Joanne's garden were blooming well. She informed Martha and walked to the garden.

Joanne thought about it and did not go out to find Wendy. Instead, she watched a movie alone in the living room.

After resigning, Joanne was idle at home. When she was bored, she would clean up the garden. At this time, the flowers in the garden were blooming beautifully, and it was partly due to her efforts.

Wendy couldn't help thinking that she was a little envious of Joanne.

It was not because of the fact that Joanne could lead such a life.

It was because Joanne was so lucky that the person she liked happened to like her. They could to be together, and there was no resistance.

In contrast, she was an obvious tragedy.

No matter how beautiful the garden was, its space was limited. After walking around, Wendy found a place to sit down. Sometimes, she played with her phone, and sometimes she looked up at the night sky, which entailed bright moon and sparse stars.

She didn't know how long she had been watching before she heard the sound of brakes coming from the garage.

Wendy looked over and saw Brian coming out of the garage. She stood up and greeted Brian from far away. "Cousin-in-law!"

Hearing the voice, Brian came over and asked, "Why are you outside?"

"I just sent my cousin-in-law away. Now I'm hanging around in the garden." Wendy smiled, concealing the uneasiness in her heart. "Cousin-in-law, you've said that you have something to tell me-what is it?"

"It's about your work." Brian asked, "When will your internship end?"

"..." It turned out that it was not for Gavin's affairs.

Wendy could not judge her mood at the moment, and answered in a daze,"It won't be long. There are less than two months left!"

Brian asked again, "What are you going to do after the internship?"

Wendy lowered her head and pondered for a moment, before replying, "I want to continue my studies."

Brian narrowed his eyes and asked seriously, "Have you made up your mind?"

"Yes!" Wendy nodded hard, "I have thought it through for a long time! The things about medicine are very complicated, and a bachelor's degree just covers the surface of them. If I want to really understand this subject, I have to continue to study hard. Therefore, I must get a postgraduate degree!"

Brian smiled and said, "Do you have the confidence to pass the exam?"

"Of course!" Wendy smiled easily, and there was no sign of pressure on her face. "What I need to consider is another problem."

Brian hit the nail on the head. "You're considering studying abroad, aren't you?"

"I do have that idea." Wendy pursed her lips. "But I haven't thought it through yet. I may apply for a school in the United States, but there is also a possibility that I may stay in the current school."

Brian more or less knew about Wendy's strength. If she wanted to go to the United States for further study, many famous colleges would rush to get her.

Whether Wendy would stay Arlington depended on whether the people here were attractive enough to her.

"By the way-" Wendy called Brian, "Cousin-in-law, what on earth do you want to tell me?"

"Nothing else." Brian said, "if you don't want to take the postgraduate entrance examination, I would have arranged for you to work in the private hospital of Lambert Group."

Wendy widened her eyes,"The private hospital you said, is it the hospital where my cousin lived?"

Wendy had heard a saying in the hospital that among the doctors of Arlington, all wanted to enter the private hospital in the central ring, which was as luxurious as a five-star hotel instead of the A+ Hospital.

"That hospital not only has excellent medical resources but also has top experts in every department. The most important thing is that the environment is so good- doctors only need to see the patients with ease, and they don't need to worry about the relationship between doctors and patients at all."

Even Wendy's teacher-Dr. Oliver, who was renowned in the hospital, had revealed to Wendy that she had applied to that private hospital, but the threshold was too difficult to pass.

Now, Brian told Wendy that she could enter that hospital!?

Wendy's first reaction was, "Cousin-in-law, are you kidding me? According to my qualifications, it's impossible for me to get into that hospital!"

"The medical conditions are not very good now. We will all be worried if you work in a public hospital." Brian said, "I can arrange for you to enter our hospital. Of course, after you enter, you have to follow the experienced doctors' instructions in the department and study hard."

"Can I postpone it for two years?" Wendy said with a smile, "Wait until I finish my studies!"

Brian smiled and said, "Of course."

"Thank you, cousin-in-law!" Wendy clasped her hands together and acted like she was extremely grateful.

Brian looked at Wendy and finally did not mention Gavin to her. He looked at the time and said, "It's late, do you want to stay here for one night, or should I arrange a driver to send you back?"

"I have to a morning shift tomorrow, so I'd better go back. It's not convenient here." Wendy blinked her eyes cutely. "Moreover, it's not good for me to stay here to disturb you and cousin!"

Brian raised his eyebrows noncommittally and asked Winston to send Wendy back. Then he walked through the garden and went back to the living room.

Joanne was still lying on the sofa watching a movie. When she saw Brian coming in alone, she was surprised. "Have you seen Wendy?"

"She's going home," Brian said. "I've asked Winston to take her home."

Joanne suddenly fell silent, and after a while, she raised her head and said, "In the past... Gavin was the one who gave her the ride."

Brian sat down and took Joanne into his arms. "They are both grown-ups. Let them solve their own problems."

Joanne also knew that she should not intervene too much, so she said, "Well, didn't you say that you had something to tell Wendy? Did you tell her?"

"I want to arrange for her to work in a private hospital." Brian felt a little helpless. "I just told her, but she wants to continue her studies and is considering going abroad."

Joanne broke out of Brian's arms, and her face was full of surprise. "Wendy never told me!"

Brian raised his eyebrows. "It seems that she made the decision on the spur of the moment."

Joanne rested her chin on her hand and thought for a moment. "Something's wrong! Something must have happened!" She raised her head and stared at Brian. "Do you know anything?"

Brian kept a straight face and shook his head. "How would I know if even you don't know?"

Brian wanted to hide something, so Joanne naturally couldn't find anything unusual. She believed Brian's words so easily, but she didn't give up. "What about Gavin? Have you found anything wrong with Gavin recently?"

"No." Brian continued to deny, "He looks normal."

In fact, Brian was not completely lying. Gavin looked normal, but it was not difficult to find out that he was not as fond of joking as before, and his work was much more efficient.

It was a pity that these strange things had not been discovered by the secretary's office and the secretaries who had been with Gavin day and night, which was enough to show how good he was at hiding it.

Brian did notice it, but he would not point it out, nor would he tell Joanne.

Joanne still wanted to say something, but Brian touched her forehead. "There hasn't been anything wrong with them. Don't think about it anymore. Go to take a shower and sleep."

Joanne curled her lips and buried her head into Brian's arms. She sniffed hard and said, "You are the one who should be taking a bath immediately! Your body reeks of cigarettes and wine!"

Since she was pregnant, Joanne's nose had become much sharper, and her tolerance to certain odors had also declined to zero. So if there was a social engagement before returning home and the environment was not so simple and clean, Brian would open the window to let the wind that entered inside take the smell of his body away on the way home.

However, the force of the wind was limited, after all. When Joanne buried herself on him like this, it was inevitable for her to smell the remaining odor.

Brian circled Joanne naturally and asked, "Do you dislike me?"

Joanne pretended to be surprised. "I thought I concealed it well."

Brian squinted his eyes dangerously, and it seemed that he would assault Joanne at any time.

Just when Joanne was thinking about how to block Brian away, he lowered his head and kissed her lips.

"Um..."

Joanne subconsciously uttered and her teeth were unconsciously opened. Brian took this opportunity to attack deeper...

Joanne could not resist this kind of undeniable warmth. She unconsciously placed her hands on Brian's body and responded to his kiss.

Brian liked Joanne's reaction very much. However, he could not lose control because of it.

While he still had enough sense to control himself, Brian let go Joanne and looked at Joanne's confused eyes. His lips unconsciously rose. "Go up, or continue?"

"... "

Joanne's face was as red as fire clouds.

She knew that Brian did it on purpose, and he clearly knew that it was impossible to continue!

However, when they couldn't continue, the person who felt uncomfortable should be Brian!

Joanne suddenly became bold and looked at Brian affectionately. "What do you think?"

She apparently knew the answer, but she still gave the choice to Brian, which was simply a hint. If there was a possibility, she wanted to continue.

This was the same as drawing the fire to herself.

Brian's eyes were filled with danger. "Joanne, do you know how dangerous it is?"

"I know!" Joanne innocently raised the corner of her lips and emphasized word by word. "But, no." Her estimated date of birth was only a few days away.

Only then did Brian understand that it was not that Joanne was not afraid, but that she had enough reason to be fearless.

He gritted his teeth and retaliatingly kissed Joanne. However, Joanne did not resist at all, and she even dared to respond to his kiss.

The saddest thing was that his actions had to be stopped at a kiss.

When he finally let Joanne go, Brian was very reluctant, but Joanne seemed to be in a good mood. She stood up and looked at Brian with a smile. "I'm going back to the room."

Brian and Joanne went upstairs together. Brian went to the bathroom to help her with the water for a bathe, and fetched her pajamas. When handing them to her, he specifically told her, "Don't close the door." He was afraid that something would happen to Joanne in the bathroom, and he would have no time to rush in.

Joanne was also very obedient, and she made an "oh" sound. After entering the bathroom, she suddenly turned around and poked her head out to look at him. "Why did you ask me not to close the door? Do you have another purpose!?"

Brian narrowed his eyes and said, "If I really have other purposes, your behavior is equivalent to... causing a fire."

Joanne tilted her head. "I'm not afraid of you!"

She grabbed her pajamas, walked into the bathroom unhurriedly and took a bath leisurely.

Now that she had an amulet with her, she really didn't need to be afraid of Brian!

What Joanne didn't realize was that it didn't take long for her amulet to be useless...
