Chapter 730 I Fell in Love with You Earlier Than You Think

Gavin's attack was fierce and merciless, so Wendy could only take clumsy breaths. Occasionally, she would find an opportunity to inexperiencedly respond to Gavin.

However, her response could only lead to Gavin's more fierce attack.

Gavin could feel that Wendy was almost out of breath, but he didn't want to let go of her hands as if he had been obsessed.

After such a long time, he dared to say that he loved her and hold her in his arms. He didn't want to let go of her so easily.

"Uhh... Gavin..." Wendy said in a sobbing tone and in a hoarse voice because of being suffocated.

Gavin noticed that she was uncomfortable, so he left her lips. The hot kiss fell on the corners of her lips and on her cheeks...

Wendy suddenly felt that-

When Gavin kissed her, something profound and intense came out of his body and melted all over the ground.

Now it seemed to be love.

Wendy felt as if she had been accidentally fed a can of honey. The sweetness spread from the tip of her heart to the bottom of her heart, flowing along her blood vessels to her whole body.

She stared at Gavin for a while, then suddenly turned her head and kissed him on the lips. "I love you too."

After the offensive kissing, her lips became moister and plumper, like cherries that just got ripe on a branch. They silently lured people to taste them.

Gavin was tempted and lowered his head to pick the fresh cherries.

Unlike before, Gavin steadily and gently sucked her lips this time, as if he wanted to lead Wendy into another warm world.

Wendy finally learned to breathe. She raised her head to accept Gavin's kiss, wantonly feeling his breath, temperature, and close contact.

On the late autumn night, the air in Arlington was already pretty chilling, but the ward was so warm that it was almost able to melt chocolate.

Wendy felt that the kiss lasted for almost half a century. When Gavin let go of her, she looked at him in a daze and leaned against his chest, unwilling to move.

At this moment, Wendy felt that nothing else was important.

No matter how cold the weather was or how long the night was, it didn't matter anymore. Anyway, as long as Gavin was by her side, she was not afraid of the cold or the darkness.

It didn't matter that her right hand was seriously injured. Didn't Gavin say that her right hand could possibly be cured? As long as Gavin was by her side, she believed that there was still hope for everything.

It did not matter what would happen to them in the future. As long as she was with Gavin, she could have nothing.

Gavin touched Wendy's head and said in an extremely soft and gentle voice, "It's still early. Sleep for another while."

Wendy shook her head and held Gavin even tighter, as if she would not let go of him.

Gavin looked down at her while stroking her slender fingers. "What's wrong?"

"I don't think I can fall asleep." Wendy blamed it on Gavin. "It's all your fault. You have to be responsible."

Gavin smiled and kissed Wendy's forehead with his warm lips. "Okay, I'll be responsible."

Not only would he be responsible for Wendy tonight, but he would be also responsible for every moment in the rest of her life.

Wendy was somewhat surprised.

In her memory, it had been a long time since Gavin had promised her one thing so straightforward.

She raised her head, and looked into Gavin's dark and deep eyes in confusion. She couldn't help asking, "Why... why did you always lie to me before? I had already thrown caution to the wind when I confessed my love to you. Why didn't you dare to accept me?"

"..." After a long silence, Gavin said slowly, "We're not allowed by the ethics and laws to be together. Wendy, I'm afraid that I'll hurt you. Compared with the rumors, I'm even more afraid that I'll hurt you."

After enduring for such a long time, Gavin finally said it out.

Wendy blinked her eyes, and all the knots in her heart were unfastened.

It turned out that Gavin had done so for her own good.

He was afraid that rumors would hurt her, and he was afraid that she would not be able to bear the public's criticisms and accusations, so he overruled his heart with his head and refused to get close to her.

He might think that as long as he refused her, she could forget him. As long as she was sent abroad, she could start a new life.

He didn't ask her what she wanted, but insisted on being good to her with his own logic.

Wendy shook her head and said seriously word by word, "Gavin, in fact, I'm not afraid. I know what you're worried about, but I don't care about what others think of me."

"Who I like is my freedom. Even if I shouldn't like you, what can I do since I fall in love with you? As for how those who have nothing to do with me judge my feelings, I don't care at all. I never intend to live according to others' wishes."

Gavin looked at Wendy without saying anything. His eyes became darker and thicker than the night outside the window.

Wendy tilted her head and asked, "What's wrong?"

Were her words so difficult to understand? Gavin seemed not to understand.

He lowered his head and kissed Wendy. "Nothing. I just realized that I was worried too much."

Wendy couldn't help complaining, "It's good that you know it!"

Gavin smiled and pressed his forehead against hers. "Have you ever thought about what we should do in the future?"

"I've never thought about it." Wendy said frankly, "My father always says that the world is changing all the time, and that maybe one day when he opens his eyes, the world will be so different. We can make preparations for the future, but we don't have to worry too much."

It was because she had been affected by Conor's education that she dared to risk confessing her love to Gavin.

Gavin suddenly felt that Wendy's words fairly made sense.

He had been worried too much once, which led to Wendy's car accident. At the moment, he shouldn't make the same mistake.

"Okay." Gavin raised the corners of his mouth. "We won't think too much about it."

"Yeah, but we have to keep a low profile." Wendy looked very excited and said, "Let's try the secret romance!"

"Okay," he said and rubbed his forehead against hers, "it's up to you."

"You answer me one more question-" Wendy asked, "When did you fall in love with me?"

"Ahem." Gavin looked away and let go of Wendy, saying, "I have to go to work tomorrow..."

"Don't leave now!" Wendy quickly grabbed Gavin and rubbed herself against his chest. "Answer the questions carefully, or I won't let you go. If you dare to leave, I'll cry before you!"

Wendy was still as shameless as before, and Gavin still had a headache as before.

Gavin pressed his temples hard and began to doubt if his confession just now was the right decision.

"Tell me." Wendy half-threatened and half coaxed. "You have confessed that you loved me. What does it matter if you tell me when you fell in love with me? I won't laugh at you!"

Gavin gritted his teeth and said, "I told you, don't go too far."

Wendy blinked her eyes and said, "Oh, I remember you said that before, but I like to push my luck!"

Gavin raised his eyebrows and said in a somewhat dangerous tone, "Didn't you say you liked me?"

Wendy knew that Gavin did it deliberately. He wanted to change the topic, and maybe he could find an excuse to be angry with her.

Hehe, Gavin was too naive. How could she be so foolish?

Wendy shook her head and said with a smile, "I like you 'more'."

She deliberately emphasized the word "more", which made it impossible for him to be angry with her.

Gavin sighed and answered her question honestly, "I don't know."

Wendy was very dissatisfied with the answer and kept asking him, "On the island? I think so!"

She always remembered that Gavin had kissed her on the island.

If he didn't like her, why would Gavin kiss her? He couldn't be so bored!

Gavin denied it and said, "It should be earlier than you think."

Wendy was surprised. "So when?"

"... Maybe when I first saw you." Gavin kissed Wendy's lips, blocking her questioning and pestering. "Are you satisfied with this answer, huh?"

"Uhhh..."

Wendy's lips were blocked, and she couldn't say a complete sentence. She could only respond in an inexperienced way to show her satisfaction.

He fell in love with her at first sight.

The time was much earlier than she had imagined, and even better than she had imagined.

What reason did she have to be dissatisfied with the answer?

In the blink of an eye, it was already half past three in the morning. Gavin reluctantly released Wendy.

Wendy gasped and said, "You have to go to work tomorrow. Go to sleep."

"Okay." Gavin tousled Wendy's soft black hair. "Good night."

Wendy grabbed his sleeve and looked at him with puppy eyes.

Gavin obviously didn't understand her intention. He raised his eyebrows in confusion and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I let you sleep, but I didn't let you leave and sleep." Wendy patted her bed. "I think this bed is more comfortable than that bed. Are you interested?"

Gavin's face darkened, and he scolded, "Don't mess around!"

Wendy looked at Gavin innocently and said, "Hey, what are you thinking? I just want you to sleep with me. I didn't say that you could do anything to me!"

The blue veins on his forehead almost bulged out. "Wendy, don't go too far."

"If you sleep alone, I can't fall asleep. I can only watch you sleep." Wendy said in a reasonable and aggrieved manner, "The person who goes too far is obviously you!"

"..." In the face of her logic, Gavin was speechless.

Wendy smiled and kindly reminded him, "If you don't sleep now, it will soon dawn."

Gavin had no alternative but to lift the quilt and lie down.

Wendy had achieved her goal. She cheered in her heart, lay down, and rolled to Gavin's side like a ball.

Gavin warned in a deep voice, "Stay where you are."

Wendy was stunned. She carefully leaned against Gavin's chest little by little and whispered, "How about my current position?"

Obviously, she had achieved her goal but still complained. But Gavin couldn't do anything to her. He could only sigh in his heart.

What could he do to her?

They had already thrown caution to the wind. From now on, apart from loving her, he could do nothing to her.

Thinking of this, for some reason, Gavin actually felt very glad...
