Chapter 740 There Is Always Worse Luck

Yuna laughed indifferently and said, "What's the difference between your logic and the unreasonable collective punishment?"

She didn't seem surprised at all that Gavin was Wendy's brother.

Rowdy couldn't help suspecting if Yuna had already known about it.

If that was the case, Brian and Joanne would definitely know it. Would they watch Gavin and Wendy be together in violation of the ethics?

Or could it be that he couldn't believe all of Blake's words? Was there any unknown truth behind the kinship between Gavin and Wendy?

Many thoughts were on Rowdys mind. But in fact, what Rowdy really wanted to know was that if the love between siblings, which was forbidden by the secular world, was exposed, would Gavin break down?

Yuna was so familiar with Rowdy's look when he was plotting against someone that she knew that nothing good would happen.

She said word by word, stressing and warning, "If you hurt Wendy, I won't just watch. Don't blame me for not telling it to you in advance."

After that, she went upstairs without looking back.

After the news of Wendy's car accident came out, she had always been worried. She could take this opportunity to see Wendy.

Yuna suddenly remembered that the last time she had sneaked to the private hospital to see Joanne, she was stabbed by Wesley.

"This time... I won't be so unlucky, right?"

Later, Yuna understood a sentence that life was full of twists and turns, and there was always worse luck!

The following day, in the private hospital.

Joanne took the two little guys to the hospital to get vaccinated. After that, she came to see Wendy.

The little guys were curious about the new environment. They shook the head, looked around, and finally lost interest in it. Then they turned the head and buried the face in Joanne's arms, kept humming and looking at Joanne from time to time. They looked so cute.

Wendy really wanted to hug two babies, but her right hand was weak. She could only play with Romy for relief.

Joanne suddenly remembered something and asked Wendy, "What did Dr. Sanchez say to you? Is he sure about your situation?"

Wendy curled her lips and showed a happy and bright smile, "He said he should be able to help me! He went back to Glasgow to get something. When he returns, I'll be discharged from the hospital!"

Freya was confused. "Dr. Sanchez wants you to be discharged from the hospital for treatment? Where will you live? Who will take care of you?"

She was pregnant, and Joanne had to take care of the two little guys. Obviously, they both were not suitable to take care of Wendy.

In a trance, she had already got the answer.

As expected, Wendy said, "I will live with Gavin!"

Joanne touched Freya's arm secretly and said with a smile, "Well, Gavin can take care of you."

Wendy smiled mysteriously and continued, "Cousin, Cousin-in-law, I'll tell you another piece of good news. I think Dr. Sanchez can cure my hand! As a doctor, we usually don't tell patients that 'I promise to cure you'. That's why Dr. Sanchez didn't give me a 100% negative answer."

"That's great!" Freya thought for a moment and said, "I feel that I have heard many pieces of good news recently. It is amazing!"

Freya was pregnant, and there was hope for Wendy's hand to recover... They both indeed sound good.

Joanne said in agreement, "I really hope there is such good news every day."

After all, it was not convenient for Joanne to stay in the hospital for a long time with the two little guys. So before noon, she and FreyOriont home with Aiden and Romy.

On the way, Freya hesitated for a moment and said, "Joanne, do you think Wendy and Gavin have..."

"Actually, I feel the same as you." After a pause, Joanne added, "It's hard to say."

After all, Gavin and Wendy looked normal for the time being.

If they guessed right, since Gavin and Wendy didn't say it, they probably didn't want others to know.

In this case, theyd better pretend that they didn't find anything.

"If Gavin and Wendy really..." Freya didn't dare to continue and asked Joanne uncertainly, "What do you think we should do?"

"Actually, its the business of Wendy and Gavin." Joanne said, "Although we are their relatives, we can't understand their feelings, so... let them do it."

Freya understood the hidden meaning in Joanne words.

They truly loved each other, but they couldn't be together, which was as painful as to be pierced in the heart by thousands of arrows. People who didn't personally experience it couldn't feel it.

The reason why Gavin and Wendy couldn't be together was that there was a barrier of kinship between them.

If they had the courage to break through this barrier, what rights did anyone else have to intervene?

After all, if the same thing happened to them, they might not have the courage to do so.

"Okay." Freya stroked her lower abdomen while saying, "I'll pretend that I didn't notice anything and let nature take its course."

Joanne looked at Freya's movements and smiled. "How do you feel after being pregnant?"

"It feels amazing," Freya said excitedly, "but I still don't dare to believe that there is a child growing up in my belly."

"When I found myself pregnant, I felt the same as you." Joanne touched her daughter's tender face. "When you can feel the existence of the baby, you will get used to it."

Freya said with great satisfaction, "I seem to be already able to feel its existence!"

Next, Joanne told Freya some dos and donts during pregnancy, and the two of them had fun with chatting.

Back home, Aiden and Romy had already fallen asleep. Martha helped settle the two little babies down and cut fruit for Joanne and Freya.

Before Freya had time to eat, she had received a call from Chris, who asked her where she was.

"I'm not home!" Freya said very straightforwardly.

"Didn't I tell you not to run around?" Chris said, but without the tone of blame. He asked softly, "Where are you?"

"Im with Joanne in her house." Freya asked angrily, "I didnt run around, did I?"

"No, but you have to be careful."

Chris had to say the words "be careful" countless times a day. Freya was tired of hearing it, but he never seemed to get tired of saying it.

Joanne sat next to Freya and ate fruit quietly. Even if she couldn't hear Chris's words, she could guess what he had said to Freya. Looking at Freya ask angrily, she couldn't help laughing.

Hanging up the phone, Freya said with disgust, "I did not expect your brother to be so wordy before!"

"Well, he was not so wordy before." Joanne deliberately emphasized, "On the early stage of my pregnancy, during which you were still wandering abroad, it was my brother who was responsible for taking care of me. At that time, he didn't talk so much either."

Freya pondered for a moment and asked Joanne in a low voice, "When you were pregnant, did you have an impulse to make Mr. Brian suffer?"

Joanne shook her head. "I still want to live. I don't dare to be so impulsive."

Having been married for such a long time, Joanne had finally realized the fact that she would never be a match for Brian. If she won once in a while, it must be because Brian let her go deliberately.

To make Brian suffer?

She was lucky enough not to suffer a lot.

"I've been very impulsive recently." Freya looked at the ceiling in confusion while saying, "I don't know why."

"You don't have to think about the reason." Joanne betrayed her brother just like that. "No matter how youre going to make my brother suffer, I believe he will be happy. I think this is a good opportunity for you to take revenge on him."

Before they got married, Chris had really made Freya suffer a lot, hadn't he?

Now Freya was not only freed from the suffering, but she was also pregnant with Chris's child. Chris might not even be willing to have harsh words for her, let alone make her suffer.

Freya had suffered for ten years. If she didn't avenge herself now, when would she do it?

Freya and Joanne gave their high fives. "Ill do it!"

Only then did Joanne realize that she seemed to have caused trouble to her brother. She coughed and told Freya, "Don't tell my brother that I told you so."

Freya smiled and said, "Don't worry."

While Freya was thinking about how to make Chris suffer, Yuna was also thinking about how to see Wendy.

After thinking for some time, Yuna decided to take action tonight.

Rowdy was a moody person. She didn't know when he would make the relationship between Wendy and Gavin. Of course, the earlier she informed Gavin to make preparations, the better.

After dinner, while Rowdy was not paying attention, she drove straight to the hospital.

Almost at the same time, Gavin made a call to Wesley.

Wesley happened to be done with his business, so he picked up the phone and asked directly, "What's the matter?"

"Yeah," Gavin said, "I need you to do me a favor."

Wesley said expressionlessly, "Say it."

"I have something to do in the company, so I have to work overtime," Gavin said, "Can you help me take dinner to Wendy from Moonlit Dine?"

Wesley frowned and said, "Why dont you ask the restaurant to send dinner directly?"

"I'm worried," Gavin said, "so if you have time, do me a favor."

In the past, Gavin was free and unrestrained. He did not even care about a living person, let alone a simple dinner.

But now, he didn't even feel at ease to let an outsider take a meal to Wendy. How dare he order him around!

"Unpromising."

Despite that, he still went to the Moonlit Dine.

When he arrived at the Moonlit Dine, Yuna just arrived at the hospital.

At this time, Wendy was alone in the ward. When she was idly watching a movie, she suddenly felt that there was noise from the door.

"Is Gavin back?

"It's impossible. Gavin clearly said that he had something to do temporarily and had to work overtime.

"Could it be that he planned to give her a surprise?"

Wendy was still imagining when the door was opened unexpectedly. She saw a familiar face that she hadn't seen for a long time.

She had thought that she would never see the person again for the rest of her life, who was said to make a great difference to Boss Hayes.

Wendy didn't know how long she had been in a daze. Maybe it was only one minute, but she felt as if a century had passed.

When she managed to come to her senses, she called out, "Yuna?"

Yuna said directly, "I'm looking for Gavin. Isnt he here?"

Wendy shook her head. "He is working overtime today, so he won't come back so early..."

Yuna frowned. After thinking for moment, she decided to wait for Gavin.

Wendy looked ignorant. Maybe she didn't even know Rowdy. If she reminded her to be on guard against Rowdy, she would probably be in a daze.
