Chapter 750 Yuna, I Once Give You a Chance (2)

In the private hospital...

Gavin called Wesley because Wendy had asked him to.

After hanging up the phone, he told Wendy, "Yuna is fine. Wesley took her back."

Nothing could happen to Yuna now that she was in Mr. Mu's home, right?

Wendy finally felt relieved. She smiled and said, "Let's go back."

Back at the apartment building, Wendy found that Joanne and Freya had come, as well as Brian and Chris.

"Why are you here?"

Wendy was greatly surprised. If it weren't for the fact that the injury on her right leg hadn't completely healed yet, she would have rushed to Joanne and the others already.

She had been breathing in the smell of disinfectant for more than half a month. Now she finally got discharged from the hospital, but since the morning, Chris and Joanne had not called or visited her at all. She thought that they had forgotten about her.

Joanne came over and touched Wendy's head. "Now that you're out of the hospital, we will definitely celebrate for you."

Only then did Wendy notice that Brian and Chris were carrying stuff in their hands, which seemed to be vegetables and seafood.

There was nothing wrong with the ingredients. The amazing part was that they were actually in Brian's and Chris's hands!

When the two of them were not married, they were the two most handsome men in Arlington. They were the dream lovers of countless girls!

But now, they were helping their wives carry things like those normal husbands who accompanied their wives to go shopping in the supermarket.

The Charming Princes are going to walk down the aisle?

But then again, except for Joanne and Freya, there was no other woman in the world who could make these two men go down the aisle, right?

Thinking of this, Wendy didn't think it strange anymore.

Gavin pushed Wendy and said, "Let's go upstairs."

After Wendy was hospitalized, Gavin hadn't gone back to his apartment. Fortunately, the auntie came to clean it regularly, so the apartment stayed clean and tidy.

Wendy's bright almond-shaped eyes were full of expectation. "Cousin, what are you going to cook for us?"

She had missed Joanne's cooking skills for a long time!

"There are so many people, so we can eat hot pot," Joanne said, "and I'll make you soup."

Wendy nodded and looked at Joanne pitifully. "I'm hungry..."

"Give me an hour."

Joanne carried the ingredients into the kitchen, and Brian naturally followed her. It seemed that he wanted to help Joanne.

After putting the stuff down, Brian tilted his head and said something to Joanne. She smiled at him, and he slowly rolled up his sleeves. His slender and well-proportioned arms were slowly exposed, and every movement of his was extremely charming and was a feast to the eye.

Freya stretched out her hand and waved it in front of Wendy. "What's so attractive to you?"

"My cousin and cousin-in-law," Wendy said, "they're really good-looking! Just like the popular online saying, they're a perfect match for each other!"

Joanne and Brian did not just look like a perfect match.

The most touching part was the tacit understanding between them.

It seemed that they knew each other's thoughts with just one look or one action.

They were born to be a couple.

If they were not together, it would be very strange for them to end up with anyone else.

Freya laughed. "When others are 10 years old, they are still playing with mud. But your cousin has fallen in love with Mr. Brian. It would be strange if they aren't destined to be together!"

Wendy was speechless.

Brian and Joanne could not hear what the people outside were talking about at all, but it had no effect on their tacit understanding.

When Joanne had gotten the ingredients of the hot pot ready and finished cooking the soup for Wendy, Brian had just cleaned all the vegetables, seafood, and meat.

The two of them worked together, and the timing was just right.

Joanne checked Brian's work and found that both the vegetables and the seafood were extremely clean.

Brian asked calmly, "How is it?"

"Great!" Joanne tiptoed slightly and planted a kiss on Brian's lips. "You're about to become an expert in cleaning vegetables."

Cleaning vegetables was Brian's most recent hobby.

Occasionally, after he got home from work, he would happen to run into Joanne preparing dinner. Then he would go into the kitchen to help.

However, his focus was never on washing the vegetables, but on Joanne, who devoted herself to prepare dinner for him.

As long as he was with Joanne, doing anything was the same for him.

"Alright," Joanne said. "Help me bring out the hot pot, and then we can start to eat."

When Brian was carrying the soup pot, he took the opportunity to peck Joanne's lips. Then he raised the corners of his mouth with satisfaction and took out the pot.

The whole apartment was filled with the fresh fragrance. They all enjoyed the feast. By the end, Wendy sighed and said, "It would be better if Boss Hayes and Yuna could also come."

Joanne's action of filling the bowl with soup paused-"Why would Wendy mention Yuna for no reason?"

She looked at Brian with doubt in her eyes.

Brian held Joanne's hand and motioned for her not to worry. He said in a low voice, "I'll tell you after we're back home."

Aiden and Romy were at home. Although Iris and Martha were there to take care of them, Joanne still couldn't help worrying about them. In addition, with the matter of Yuna, she asked to leave before she had time to eat the fruit she bought.

Freya was still in the early stages of pregnancy. At the critical moment, Chris was always very nervous. He claimed that Freya needed to rest and left with Brian and Joanne.

Before going out, Chris and Joanne reminded Gavin at the same time, "Take good care of Wendy."

Gavin said, "Don't worry. I will do my best to fulfill all her requests."

Gavin normally acted casually, but the promise he made was absolutely trustworthy. They finally left without any worries.

Only Gavin and Wendy were left in the apartment.

Wendy held her chin leisurely and looked at Gavin with a smile. "You just told my cousin that you would grant all my requests."

"Uh-huh." Gavin sat down leisurely. "What? Do you have a request now?"

Wendy's beautiful almond-shaped eyes were full of love. "Give me a kiss."

Gavin was very happy to satisfy such a request-

Outside the door, Joanne, Brian, and the others had not entered the elevator yet.

Behind the door, Gavin had already held Wendy in his arms. He lowered his head and kissed her lips. The breathes of the two were twisted together, and their lips and tongues were tightly entangled, as if they wanted to integrate themselves into each other and never part.

Joanne had been thinking about Yuna. As soon as she got in the car, she couldn't wait to ask Brian, "What happened? Why did Wendy suddenly mention Yuna?"

Brian generally told Joanne about the whole process of Yuna coming to find Gavin and running into Wesley, who took Yuna back to his villa by force.

In the end, Brian added, "Now, Yuna is still in Wesley's villa."

Joanne didn't expect that so many things had happened over the past few days. It took her a long time to find her voice. "Will Yuna leave again?"

"She wanted to leave in the morning, but was discovered by Wesley," Brian said. "From now on, her decision doesn't matter anymore. It depends on whether Wesley is willing to let her go or not."

Joanne asked cautiously, "Then-will Wesley...?"

"No." Brian knew Wesley too well and said without hesitation, "Since he has taken Yuna back to the villa, it's unlikely that Wesley will let her go, unless something unexpected happens."

"There'd better be no accidents. Rowdy is not a good person, and it's not good for Yuna to go back to him." While speaking, Joanne suddenly looked at Brian with affection, and there was a smile in her eyes. "Sweetie..."

Brian was too familiar with Joanne's habits. He knew what she wanted without guessing.

He took the initiative to kiss Joanne's lips and stopped her from finishing her words. He coaxed her softly, "Good girl, it's not the right time."

Joanne wanted to visit Yuna, but just this morning, Yuna had infuriated Wesley.

According to Wesley's style, he wouldn't let go of Yuna easily. Yuna's situation was not clear yet.

It was not a good time to see Yuna.

Joanne pestered Brian and continued to ask, "How long will it take?"

Brian tried his best to comfort Joanne. "Wait until I contact Wesley, huh?"

Joanne knew that if she could see Yuna, Brian wouldn't stop her. Since he asked her to wait, it could only mean that it was really inappropriate to see her now.

She could only agree depressedly. "Okay."

At the moment, she could only pray that Noah could cure Wendy's hand and that Yuna would give Wesley enough trust that she wouldn't run away again.

Later, Joanne completely understood a sentence.

"Occasionally, things in our lives go contrary."

In the villa...

An afternoon passed by quickly. Yuna slept for a while, and it was late at night when she woke up.

Although the lights were on in the room, it was quiet all around, which made Yuna feel unusual.

She hoped... that Wesley was around.

Even if Wesley didn't say anything good to her or completely ignored her, she still hoped that he would be here. As long as she could see him, she would be satisfied.

She did not want to be alone on such a dark night.

While she was thinking, with a click, the door was pushed open, and Wesley's tall and straight figure slowly entered the room.

Yuna widened her eyes and looked at him in surprise. She couldn't look away for quite a while.

Was it a coincidence, or was it possible that... he could read her feelings?

The last possibility made Yuna totally confused. She shook her head and drove those confusing thoughts from her mind.

Her heart and Wesley's were not even in the same place. How could they be connected?

Wesley came over and unlocked Yuna's handcuffs. He ordered, "Go downstairs and eat."

Yuna stretched her sore wrist and looked up at Wesley. "Are you going to handcuff me like this every time you go outside?"

"So what?" Wesley asked coldly, "Do you have a problem with it?"

"Absolutely!" Yuna complained, "It feels awful..."

"You asked for it." Wesley said coldly, "If you didn't try to escape, maybe I would consider letting you moving around freely here."

Yuna looked at Wesley with a conflicted look. "Can we start over from the morning?"

If she had known that she couldn't run away and that she would be handcuffed, she could guarantee that she wouldn't try to escape again!

However, Wesley misunderstood Yuna's meaning. He looked at Yuna with an ironical look and asked, "Do you want to run away again?"

Yuna was speechless.

It was done. Why did she have an ominous feeling?
