Chapter 753 Brother Wesley, Hurry Back

The doctor had said that the old wound on her head was a time bomb for Yuna.

Once it exploded, the consequences would be too ghastly to contemplate.

Yuna had thought she would be lucky enough for the bomb to be in the know of her plans after staying in her head for that long, delaying the explosion until she killed Rowdy.

The bomb obviously had plans of its own. It was about to explode in front of Wesley.

Yuna clenched her teeth and covered her swollen head, trying to swallow the unbearable pain.

She decided not to go through the risky treatment and returned to Rowdy in order to avenge her grandmother. Everyone misunderstood that she was crazily obsessed with Rowdy.

She had put in so much effort to win Rowdy's trust, but she still had not had the time to do a thing...

She had to hold back the pain and keep her cover.

It turned out she had underestimated the power of the "bomb" and overestimated her endurance.

The heavy pain was like a heavenly net, covering her tightly. No matter how much she gritted her teeth, she couldn't stop her tears from coming out...

Wesley was left in a daze for half a minute.

He had seen Yuna when she was calm, ruthless, and charming.

However, she had never seen her in such a fragile state.

Yuna was like a small beast riddled with wounds at the moment. She curled up on the bed and was incapable of fighting back.

At a glance, he could only see the weakness and paleness that she had no time to hide.

Was it his rudeness that left her so weak and pale?

Wesley's hand trembled. He held Yuna's shoulder and asked, "Yuna?"

"..."

Yuna was completely unable to hear Wesley's voice.

The pain on her head was getting more and more intense. She couldn't wait to stick her head into the pillow and then lose consciousness forever.

That way she would no longer have to endure that overwhelming pain.

A trace of panic flashed across Wesley's eyes, given that Yuna didn't respond. He forcefully turned Yuna's face his way and said in a trembling voice, "What's wrong with you?"

Yuna looked at Wesley in a daze. There was no sign of vitality in her eyes, as if she would die at any time.

"Yuna!" Wesley's heart tightened. He ordered, "Answer me!"

"..."

This time, Yuna neither obeyed nor disobeyed him.

She closed her eyes powerlessly. While lost in a haze, she seemed to have heard the call of death.

Speaking of which, if she died right then and there, not only would it be worthless, but also too dramatic. It wouldn't be pleasant at all.

The only thing worth celebrating would probably be that Wesley was by her side.

As she thought of this, a contented smile appeared on Yuna's pale lips.

Wesley didn't notice this at all.

He considered countless possibilities as he looked at the almost unconscious Yuna, all of which left him confounded and panicking.

He only knew that Yuna had to be hale.

He had not told her everything. She had to be well.

Wesley casually found his home clothes and used them to dress Yuna. He picked her up and said, "Hold on. I'll take you to the hospital."

While in a daze, Yuna felt that her face was pressed against Wesley's left chest. She was even able to heart Wesley's distressed heartbeat.

Was Wesley nervous about her?

Perhaps this realization made Yuna feel gratified, or the pain had messed up her reason. She grabbed Wesley's clothes and complained with a tearful and pitiful tone, "Wesley, it hurts..."

"Hold on." Wesley held Yuna tighter. "We'll arrive at the hospital soon."

Yuna tilted her head and buried her face in Wesley's arms. His breath was fully integrated with hers, and she gradually felt relieved.

As far as she recalled, that was the first time he had acted that gentle with her.

She would probably not have any regrets if she were to die that way.

Wesley opened the door, placed Yuna in the back seat, and took a cushion so she could use it as a pillow. Once he tried to move to the driver's seat, he found that Yuna was still clutching at his clothes tightly.

He gently took her hand away and said in an unprecedentedly soft voice, "Don't be afraid. We'll go to the hospital now."

Yuna seemed to have heard it. She obediently put down her thin hand, letting it drop quietly.

Wesley got out of the car, went back to the driver's seat and started the engine. The black car cut through the dark night and sped toward the hospital like a hurricane.

His face was darker than the night.

There was clearly something wrong with Yuna.

She had hit her head in the car on the way back to the villa from the hospital that day, and it did look painful. However, he had thought she was pretending and warned her not to be making things up.

After that, Yuna quieted down. He felt that something was wrong, but she then returned to her usual appearance when he returned to the villa.

That is why he didn't take it seriously.

If he remembered correctly, Yuna had also knocked her head when they had gone upstairs a while before, and then she ended up in such a state.

Was Yuna hiding something from him?

Wesley stepped on the gas and rushed to the hospital at full speed. The pain in Yuna's head had lessened before he arrived.

Yuna weakly opened her eyes; she felt that the atmosphere in the car was too depressing.

Was it because of her sudden headache?

She managed to sit up, thinking about what Wesley had told her while she was in a daze. "Hold on. I'll take you to the hospital."

Yuna looked out of the car window subconsciously. It was indeed the way to the private hospital.

She could not allow Wesley drive her to the hospital.

Otherwise, everything she had hidden from him would be exposed.

Yuna patted the back of the driver's seat and said, "Wesley..."

Her voice still sounded a little weak.

"Lie down," Wesley ordered in a deep voice, "Hold on a little longer. We'll soon get to the hospital."

"I'm fine," Yuna said weakly, "It's so late. Don't go to the hospital. Let's go back."

Wesley certainly didn't believe it. "It didn't seem that you were fine just now."

"I'm fine now, really!" Yuna explained in a hurry, "I felt uncomfortable because it's the sequela of the training I went through in the past. I'll be fine after the pain goes away. Let's go back. Don't go to the hospital."

Yuna had been trying to run away since she was taken back to the villa by Wesley.

She was eager to go back?

Wesley noticed that something was wrong, and asked sharply, "You have been working undercover around me for so long, but you never had such symptoms. Why did it suddenly appear now?"

"I..."

Yuna was still thinking about how to explain, but Wesley interrupted her coldly, "Are you hiding something from me?"

"No," Yuna subconsciously denied. "I'm telling the truth! Wesley, don't waste time. Let's go back."

No matter what she had to pay, she couldn't let Wesley discover her secret!

"Whether you're telling me the truth or not, the doctor will tell me the answer."

Wesley didn't show any sign of turning the car around. The black car was like a cheetah running in the forest, rushing to the hospital regardless of anything.

The uneasiness at the bottom of Yuna's heart quickly began to spread, but there was nothing she could do.

While she was as anxious as an ant in a hot pot, she noticed the car behind them from the rearview mirror.

Others didn't know, but she clearly knew that it was Rowdy's car, although she didn't know when it had begun following them. It was obvious that he was planning to pick her up.

Wesley had always been quite defensive. Why didn't he notice that Rowdy was behind him this time?

Anyway, it was an opportunity for Yuna.

Not only could she get rid of Wesley's control if she jumped out of the car, but she could also keep the secret this way.

Yuna looked at the driver's seat. She could see Wesley's cold and handsome profile from her viewpoint, which made her heart skip a beat.

She opened her mouth and called, "Wesley..."

Maybe that would be the last time she called Wesley by his name.

Wesley didn't notice the underlying meaning in Yuna's voice. He looked back at her unhappily and said, "Didn't I tell you to lie down? Lie down!"

Yuna didn't speak, quietly finding the handle of the car door with her right hand.

Wesley caught a glimpse of Yuna's movement and realized what she was going to do. He subconsciously stepped on the brake and shouted, "Yuna!"

Yuna pretended that she didn't hear him. She made up her mind, pushed the door open and decisively jumped out of the car.

Although the car had already slowed down, she still unavoidably scratched her arms and calves after she jumped out; she could even feel warm blood soak her clothes and pants.

She didn't have time to care about it and quickly got up. Rowdy's car just stopped beside her, and the door beside the passenger's seat had been pushed open for her.

She couldn't help looking back at Wesley. For a while, she thought she had an illusion.

She saw Wesley standing by the car door, still in the posture of chasing after her. The street lights lit up his look of great shock and disbelief. She didn't know if there was anger or heartbreak in his dark eyes.

The dim yellow light stretched his lonely figure, stiff and disappointed.

When they inadvertently met each other's eyes, Yuna felt as if her heart had been stabbed viciously by a knife. The sharp pain overwhelmed her, roaring and drowning her in the deep sea of pain.

She had a feeling that Wesley's pain was no less than hers at that moment.

"But, how could it be possible?"

Wesley would only be angry if she ran away. Why would he be sad?

Yuna made up her mind, sat in the passenger's seat, and decisively said, "Let's go!"

"Yuna!"

Wesley called a person's name in such a frenzy for the first time in his life, but that person didn't care about him at all; she didn't even look back at him.

There were still a lot of answers he needed to hear from Yuna. He couldn't let her go!

Wesley got in the car. As soon as he started the car and was about to chase after Yuna, Rowdy's men drove their cars over and blocked his way. He could only watch Rowdy's car drive farther and farther away through the windshield.

His cell phone rang when he was thinking of a way to deal with this. It was Kai's call.

Once he answered the phone, Kai said in a hurried voice, "Brother Wesley, hurry back! Rowdy was informed that you were outside, so he took people to the villa in person. He wanted to take Yuna away while you were not here! Jay and the others are no match for Rowdy. Hurry back!"

"..."

Wesley didn't speak.

Yuna had noticed that Rowdy's car was following them as they drove to the hospital, didn't she?

That was why she had been so decisive to jump out of the car.

But he was actually worried that she would get hurt.

He really was... a joke.

After not hearing Wesley's reply for a long time, Kai couldn't help suspecting he had not gotten through. He looked at his phone screen, which showed that he had indeed been talking to Wesley.

"Brother Wesley?" Kai asked in doubt.

Wesley said slowly, "Yuna is gone."
