Chapter 757 Possessed by Wendy

Gavin calmly told Brian the whole story. Finally, he made a conclusion.

"Rowdy knows himself well. He knows that he is no match for you and Wesley, so he found a breakthrough first."

Brian lowered his eyelids and thought for a long time. Then he asked perfunctorily, "Did Yuna take the risk to come to you just to tell you about this?"

"Yes," Gavin replied with the same feeling, "I'm surprised, too."

Brian asked, "Did Wesley ask Yuna why she helped us?"

Gavin was stumped by this question for a while. He raised his eyebrows and thought for a long time. Then he said meaningfully, "This is what I'm thinking. Wesley finally found Yuna. He should have no time to ask her such a question."

"..." Brian ignored Gavin's hint and went straight to the point. "What are you going to do?"

Gavin smiled. "Why did you ask the same question as Wesley did?"

With this, his smile gradually faded, but he still maintained a relaxed and natural look. "I don't have any plans. If Rowdy really wants to hurt me, I just have to deal with him. When there's a fight, there's a way out. When there's a wolf, there's a gun. There's nothing to worry about."

"You've been with Wendy for a long time."

Brian was not questioning him but calmly telling a fact.

"Yes." Gavin didn't deny it, and then his tone grew doubtful. "How did you know that?"

"Your attitude is obviously influenced by Wendy," Brian said, "if you two have just been together, Wendy won't have such a big impact on you."

Thinking of Wendy, Gavin smiled, and there was a spell of indescribable softness in his smile.

Some people said that a happy person would have some kind of light on him. It was bright but not dazzling, gentle but powerful.

Brian saw this kind of light on Gavin.

"Perhaps... it was not a completely wrong decision for Wendy and Gavin to be together."

"There's one thing I'm curious about-" Gavin asked, "Since Joanne had already guessed what happened between me and Wendy, why were you keeping silent? You... don't you intend to stop me and Wendy?"

Brian glanced at Gavin and said, "Joanne just wants Wendy to be happy."

Gavin was stunned for half a second, then he smiled and said, "Thank you."

"Take good care of Wendy," Brian said, "don't worry too much about Rowdy. I won't let him do whatever he wants."

Gavin nodded, went back to his office, and began to deal with his work.

For so many years, because of Brian, he had always regarded Rowdy as an opponent. He could not be more familiar with Rowdy's style and tricks.

No matter what tricks Rowdy used on him, he didn't care as long as these tricks didn't hurt Wendy.

The only thing that worried Gavin was that if the matter between him and Wendy was exposed, he might not be able to hide it from Dolly anymore.

He didn't know if Dolly could take such a big blow.

However, even with this concern about Dolly, he was still selfish and unwilling to give up Wendy.

He must have been possessed by Wendy.

After getting off work in the afternoon, Gavin didn't delay for a minute and hurried back to the apartment without a stop.

Noah had just finished brewing the medicine in the afternoon and brought it to Wendy.

Unfortunately, Wendy hadn't woken up in the afternoon, so Noah and Gavin could only face each other.

Wendy was very fond of Noah's gentle look when he was wearing glasses. Gavin had never liked him, and Noah could also feel Gavin's deep hostility.

For a moment, the living room was filled with embarrassment.

Out of courtesy, Gavin still greeted Noah. "Take a seat. What would you like to drink?"

"Mineral water, thanks." Noah's style and manner were as gentle and elegant as ever.

Gavin took a bottle of mineral water from the wine cabinet and was about to head back. Suddenly, he felt dizzy, and his brain seemed to have been emptied, leaving nothing but cold and stiff paleness.

Then, he felt a sharp pain, and all his strength was drained in an instant. His grip loosened, and with a "bang-" sound, the whole bottle of mineral water fell to the ground.

Noah's eyes darkened behind his glasses. He walked over and came to a conclusion as soon as he saw Gavin. "You're sick."

Gavin held the wine cabinet weakly. When the pain subsided, he said, "Don't tell Wendy." It was like a warning or a request.

"You're really strange." Noah couldn't help laughing. "I'm a doctor, and I think my medical skills are not bad. Shouldn't you let me treat you?"

"..."

Gavin didn't say anything.

Henry had been focusing on studying his disease for more than 20 years, and his professional attainments were impressive. Nonetheless, he couldn't do anything about it, so he didn't want to make things difficult for Noah.

Noah saw through Gavin's hesitation at a glance and said, "Are you seriously ill?"

At this point, there was a noise in the room. It was likely that Wendy had woken up.

Gavin subconsciously held Noah's shoulder and pushed him to the wall. He lowered his voice and said, "I warn you, don't tell anyone."

Noah gracefully adjusted the delicate frame of his glasses, and then suddenly grabbed Gavin's wrist, pressing his artery with his fingertips. At the same time, he ordered, "Don't move!"

He didn't need Gavin to take a strict sitting or lying position. His face changed after a rough diagnosis.

Noah glanced at Gavin in surprise. "Your health is already so poor, and yet you can still pretend to be a normal person. Your acting skills are very good."

"..." Gavin deeply felt that Noah was really a person who needed to be beaten up.

At this moment, Wendy changed her clothes, pushed open the door, and walked out. She saw Gavin press Noah against the wall, but Noah clasped Gavin's wrist.

One had an outstanding temperament, and the other had handsome facial features. The two had the same aura. Coupled with their seemingly intimate and strange posture, it was easy for people to imagine.

Wendy thought that she had seen wrongly. She rubbed her eyes hard and found that it was true.

She bit her finger in a dilemma. "What... are you doing?"

Almost at the same time, Noah let go of Gavin, and Gavin also took back the hand on Noah's shoulder.

Gavin turned around and said lightly, "Fighting. Can't you tell?"

Wendy glanced at the drinks on the wine cabinet and said, "Can't you do it somewhere else? It's easy to knock down the drinks there. They're all filled with glass bottles and are easy to break..."

"Those are all my favorite drinks!"

Noah was speechless.

So was Gavin.

There was the same speechless look on the two equally good-looking faces. Only then did Wendy realize that she shouldn't have such a reaction.

Wendy blinked and asked, "Well, why did you fight?"

Gavin tidied his sleeves and said lightly, "No reason. Come here and take the medicine."

Since Wendy had taken the medicine last time, the bitter black soup had been waiting for her at noon and in the afternoon every day. Her taste buds were numb. She obediently said, "Oh." Then she walked over, closed her eyes, and drank a big bowl of medicine at one gulp.

Although her tongue had gotten used to this smell, she still wanted to throw up.

Gavin took a piece of prune and fed it to Wendy. He stroked her back and said, "Hold on."

It took Wendy a lot of effort to fight back her desire to throw up. She looked at Noah with a crying face and asked, "Dr. Sanchez, how much more do I need to take?"

"You don't have to take it tomorrow," Noah said, "from tomorrow on, you shall apply the medicine for a period of time, and then go to take an X-ray. After that, we'll see the situation and make a decision."

As long as she didn't need to take medicine anymore, Wendy would even be willing to lie in a pile of medicine, let alone apply it!

"Okay!"

Wendy breathed a sigh of relief and agreed with great force.

"That's all for today." Noah glanced at Gavin. "I'm going downstairs."

Gavin stroked the arm of Wendy, who was only wearing a sweater. "It's getting cold. Go back to your room and put on another coat. Don't catch a cold."

Wendy happened to feel a little cold. She nodded and slipped back to her room.

Gavin looked at Noah and said, "Dr. Sanchez, I'll see you off."

When they reached the door, Noah took the initiative to ask, "Are you going to tell me about your condition?"

"Unfortunately, I don't have that plan," Gavin said coldly, "you just need to help Wendy recover her hand. As for me, you can pretend that you don't know anything."

Noah smiled and said, "Even if I cure Wendy's hand, do you think she will be happy if anything happens to you?" He seemed to think of something and continued, "Don't worry. With one more patient, I will waste more energy at most, and it won't distract my attention on Wendy."

At this moment, Wendy had already put on a coat. When she came out of the room, she saw that Gavin was still standing at the door. She was confused and asked, "Eh? Isn't Dr. Sanchez gone yet?"

"You go down first." After speaking to Noah, Gavin immediately closed the door, turned around, and looked at Wendy as if nothing had happened. "He told me about your situation."

Wendy pursed her lips and said with a smile, "I think I'm in good condition now! Although Dr. Sanchez's medicine is bitter, my hand doesn't hurt at all. I feel that it will surely recover!"

Gavin stroked Wendy's head.

"As long as Wendy can be happy, I am willing to do everything."

In the evening, Wendy suddenly said that she was hungry. Gavin went downstairs to buy her night snack and went to Noah's house by the way.

Noah asked directly, "Have you checked it? Do you know what kind of disease you have?"

"No, all I know is that I inherited the disease from my father," Gavin said.

"Excuse me for asking," Noah asked hesitantly, "how... is your father now?

"When I was born, my father passed away." Gavin handed Noah a file bag. "This is my father's medical record."

Most people only had a dozen pages of medical records or even fewer.

But Gavin handed him a thick stack.

Noah had an intuition that Gavin's illness was very tricky.

"Let me have a look," Noah said, "if I find out anything, I'll contact you."

Gavin nodded. "Thank you."

If Noah remembered correctly, this was the first time that Gavin sincerely thanked him.

Gavin had thanked him politely because he had done rehabilitation treatment for Wendy before, but he felt that Gavin was hostile to him.

"This time is really rare."

Noah smiled and said, "You're welcome. You're Wesley's friend. I should help you. But are you sure you're hiding it from others?"

"Don't let them know for the time being," Gavin said, "there's been enough going on lately."

Gavin was most worried about Wendy.

Rowdy wanted to make the matter of him and Wendy public, which couldn't affect Wendy.

But once Wendy knew that he was ill, she would be completely crushed as if she knew that her hand could not recover.

He promised to make Wendy happy. He didn't want to see her sad face.

"I got it."

Noah didn't persuade Gavin.

Anyway, according to the current situation, even if Gavin wanted to hide it, it wouldn't last long.
