Chapter 76 Have You Two... Got It Done Already?

Mr. Norris unfroze Freya's credit card and consented to grant her two years' time to play havoc in the modeling industry. If she achieved no success then, she would have to go back to work at Norris Group obediently.

Freya agreed on these above-mentioned terms. But she did not say yes to giving up on Chris.

Thus, she had to be on a blind date with the son of Uncle Clark.

"Dad, you do think that after I have a blind date and meet a handsome guy, then I will think no more of Chris, don't you?" Freya walked into the cafe shop as well as talked over the phone, "Not a chance! As I have told you before, I want nobody at all except Chris!"

She poked at the screen and hung up the phone. Then the waiter walked up to her and said, "Welcome, do you have reservation?"

"I..." Freya looked around the beautifully and luxuriously decorated cafe shop and caught sight of a familiar figure all of a sudden.

It was Travis!

This wastrel on the Earth actually was dressed in a suit of formal clothing today, who looked good and who actually held pretty a sort of awesomeness belonging to the young talent.

Freya walked over and sat on the opposite side of him randomly. "Such a coincidence."

"You are here." Travis called the waiter over and gave the menu to Freya, "What would you like to drink?"

Freya flipped out the menu smilingly. Her motion was frozen two seconds later.

Uncle Clark's son... Travis.

Travis was not surprised to see her here at all and ever said to her, "You are here."

She realized something all of a sudden and raised her head. She could not even utter clearly and smoothly, "You, you... Travis, you, are you the legendary son of Uncle Clark who just returned from overseas and who was of striking appearance?"

Travis smiled. "Well, why? You still don't know the one you are going to have a blind date with is actually me?"

Freya shook her head confusedly. "I have no idea about it. But, since it is you, it will become easy."

Travis took a sip of espresso and said, "Whys is it easy? Tell me."

"Na, from my father's perspective, he would hope that I can take you down and you would be the one who dealt with the management of Norris Group in later days. Then he could rest assured." Freya shook off her carry-on purse and rested her head on the table without paying any attention to her posture. "But you have known it all along. I want nobody except Chris."

"Before I came here, I was still worried about whether my blind date would yearn for my beauty or not. If by chance he tells my father that I took his fancy and then my father would definitely force me to be married to him. However, since you are my blind date-then I will not be worried that these above-mentioned situations will happen."

"What if I told you that, I actually would not refuse getting married to you?"Travis placed his good-looking hands on the coffee mug randomly, "Freya, there is no possibilities between you and Chris. Our families are of equal ranks. You know me well and I don't hate you either. If we got married, it would be such a great help to each other's family business. After your father got retired, I would help you take care of Norris Group and you would do whatever you like, the same way as you did currently. It is not improper for us to do so, isn't it?"

It was the first time that Freya had seen such a conscientious Travis, who was completely different from what he was when he drove the cool racing cars and hit on the beauties with large breasts. She felt a bit unfamiliar with him.

She stretched her hands to the front of Travis and shook them up. "Are you still the prince of the nightclubs? To sacrifice your marriage for the sake of your family's interest is not compatible with your personality which is unrestrained and unruly."

Travis smiled in a self-ridicule way. "Freya, for people like us, the marriage is born for the family's interest. We can be particular over our eating, clothing, housing, and transportation. We can enjoy all the most luxurious things in the world. But for our life. partners, they are exceptions. We have to be married to the counterparts who are of mutual benefits to us."

"Then you can look for other rich girls from other families," Freya said, "for the enterprises whose strength are much more enormous than Norris Group, they can be found everywhere in A City. Why do you pick me out?"

Travis knocked on the table ponderingly. "Freya, how should I explain it to you-I don't like them. Their characters have been set to be gentle and generous right from the start. They speak in soft voices, which I can't stand."

Freya raised her enchanting smile and cupped her cheek with her both hands. "Then do you like me?"

"Yes, I do." Travis glanced at Freya and said, "Your looking is impeccable. Your body figure is of the first-class level. Moreover, you also have long legs which I like most. Plus, you are outgoing and passionate. Why should I dislike you? But, I like Norris Group more."

Freya uttered an "fuck" and felt like giving Travis a kicking.

She had been so familiar with Travis. So she knew that the first half of his sentence was purely a joke. But for the latter half, it was a great truth.

She pulled herself together and assumed a stern countenance. "Travis, I really can not give up on Chris, unless he was married to somebody else."

"But I would still advise you to consider getting married to me." Travis carried out his analysis for Freya item by item. "First and foremost, there is no possibility between you and Chris. If you were married to me, then you could give up on him. Otherwise, you would suffer a complete loss. Secondly, I am capable of taking care of Norris Group well for you, you could continue playing the gangsters in the name of Young Madam from Qin Family in the future. You would not need to worry about the things you hate. After all, you were under my protection. Thirdly, I look that handsome. You really would not take me into your consideration, would you?"

"Puff..." Freya laughed so hard that her shoulders shuddered continuously. A short while later, she stared at Travis in a solemn way. "What should I do?" "Travis, you are so handsome. The conditions and terms you have listed out are so tempting. But I... I really aren't enticed."

"You are so stubborn." Travis signed and said, "In this case-I only have to try going after you, don't I?"

"Ah?" Freya opened her eyes wide open. After she came to her senses, she could not help herself cursing him. "Travis, you actually go back on your own words. We have agreed on being great mates to each other for life!"

"Have you not heard of the saying? There exists no pure friendship between a man and a woman, let alone being good mates. Unless one was willing to play the fool and the other one would rather die than say their feelings out. But I could not refrain from saying my feelings out. If without any practical actions carried out, how could I live up to my aura of being a master of hitting on girls?"

Freya was speechless.

Till the time when Freya left the cafe shop, she still felt confused.

Regardless of the fact whether Joanne was at home or not, she drove directly towards Prime Villas and consequently saw the cupcakes which Joanne had baked.

"Let me have a cake first to get over the shock." She swallowed a cupcake, took Joanne's hands and sat in the living room. "Where is your Mr. Brian?"

"He is sleeping." Joanne pointed upstairs and said, "Why did you ask about him?"

Freya told Joanne about what'd happened this afternoon and stressed the fact specifically that Travis actually had planned to go after her, which had gone too far!

Seeing her surprised look, Joanne could not help herself laughing. "For the people who have gone after you over that many years, if the number was not one thousand, it would be eight hundred at least? Wouldn't it? Why are you acting like an old maid who had just got her first suitor?"

"I just feel that me and Travis... we are in a relationship of being good mates to each other." Freya shook her head. "He should not like me, neither should he go after me. We should be good friends only."

Joanne smiled, went to the refrigerator and got a cup of ice cream for Freya, "Freya, you have taken people and this world as too innocent things, because you have lived according to your own instinct all along and you have been living too simple a life. You thought that Travis only took you as a good friend due to the fact that he had protected you in the nightclub, while in normal times, he had been drinking and eating with you, without any move that was too excessive towards you. However, what you had forgotten was the purpose Travis had held while approaching you first."

Back to the time when they were in the club, Travis approached Freya with the intention of developing a One-Night-Stand relationship with her.

"Knowing that you liked my brother, so he had been by your side in the identity of a good mate temporarily. Now he found out that it would be of mutual benefit to both Norris Group and Clark Enterprise if he was married to you, then he consequently let the cat out of the bag, which was also a normal thing," Joanne continued, "so there is nothing to be surprised about for you."

Freya nodded and stared at Joanne smilingly. "As expected, You are an experienced person. Hey, how does it feel to be married to someone you like?"

At first, Joanne was at a loss. Then she pounced upon Freya and covered Freya's mouth up. "Did Shawn tell you that?"

Freya nodded and showed her protests while articulating vaguely. Joanne warned her before letting go of her. "Brian is at home. Don't talk carelessly."

Freya nodded again. After getting her freedom back, she gave Joanne a despising look. "You have been against our comradeship. You don't even tell me about this astonishing thing."

"The reason for me to do so is that I was afraid that you would give it away and then Brian would know it then." Joanne felt rather distressed. "After all, it is not an honor to have been falling in love with other people secretly for more than ten years."

"Well? In this case, You have fallen for him since you met him for the first time, haven't you?" Freya counted in her heart with her fingers, "A total of fourteen years already has passed from the time when you were aged at ten till now... Hey, Joanne, whereby could you make fun of me that I had been going after your brother for so many years in usual times? You, you, you actually did that earlier than me!"

"I did that earlier than you for less than a few years. We are just the pot calling the kettle black!"

Freya thought for a while and said, "So it is." Then she dug out a spoon of ice cream and put it into her mouth. She realized something all of a sudden, smacked her mouth and had a look at the ice cream box, "It actually was the authentic 'Abel Hand Made Ice Cream'! How did you get it? You are so awesome!"

"Not me," Joanne answered, "it was Brian who had hired someone to handmake them."

"It was not a piece of cake to send for Abel from the US." Freya eyed Joanne up and down. "Something must have happened between you two!"

Joanne raised the corner of her mouth. "What is it even something has happened between us? While living under the same roof every day, it would be abnormal if nothing happened."

This talk was rather evocative. Freya drew closer to Joanne meaningfully, "Have you two... did it? Have you already got it done?"

After meditating for quite a long time, Joanne gave out an answer solemnly, "The water is almost boiling."

Freya had known Joanne too well! She understood all as soon as she heard the answer. She covered her mouth and smiled contentedly. "Joanne, you keep fighting! You strive for taking Brian down and then you will be my lady boss for life!"

Joanne took a sip of the milk tea mingled out by herself.

As for being Freya's lady boss for life, well, she was actually pretty interested in it.

Brian had been sleeping until over four o'clock that afternoon. Then he finally went downstairs. Freya just left then. And Joanne bent over to collect the empty fruit bowls and leftover cupcakes on the tea table.

He asked, "Had Freya been here?"

He walked soundlessly. His question which had come unexpectedly startled Joanne. She handed the trashes over to Martha and replied with a "Hum". "She just left."

Brian placed one of his hands in the pocket of the trouser. Due to the fact that he had just woken up, he looked completely leisurely and lazy which could not be described clearly with simple words. He intended to walk away as soon as he heard her out. Joanne stopped him, "I have baked some cupcakes and I will get them for you!"

He did not like sweet snacks. Rarely did he touch these things at normal times. However, the moment when Su Jiana's voice died away, she had already sneaked into the kitchen and then walked out holding a piece of cake.

"Try it." The smile on her face was much sweeter than the sweet snacks.

Brian got the cake over and said, "You are unaccountably solicitous. Do you have something to discuss with me?"

Besides the professional knowledge, Joanne admitted to herself that without other outstanding skills, she could only take pride in her own cuisine cooking and bakery. She had tried the cake of today out as soon as it was freshly baked. The cake was soft and delicious, which was no less than the ones Brian had tasted in those Five-Star restaurants which he had frequented.

She just wanted... him to try the cake out and that was it. Why did he think that she was unaccountably solicitous?

However, since he had already thought so, then she indeed did have something to discuss with him-

"Then I will tell you directly. There is one thing that I would like you to help me with."

Brian raised the tip of his brows and said, "Tell me."
