Chapter 772 Formidable Members in the World of Public Display of Affection

Gavin went to the private hospital and took the report of his examination which had been carried out last week.

After leaving the hospital, he made an appointment with Noah and met him at a coffee shop near the mall.

The warm sunlight in late autumn shone in the coffee shop. Noah was wearing a soft white shirt and sitting on a gray fabric sofa. He behaved gently and elegantly, and his temperament and the coffee shop surprisingly went together.

Gavin walked over and handed his examination report to Noah.

Noah opened the file bag and raised his chin at the position opposite him. "Sit down, please."

"No," Gavin said, "I'll pick up Wendy."

Noah adjusted the spectacle frame and nodded to show his understanding.

Gavin and Wendy had experienced so much, and they could finally be together aboveboard. It was patient enough of Gavin not to grow two wings and fly to Wendy now. How could he be in the mood to sit down and drink coffee with him?

Noah read Gavin's examination report while thinking about that. After he finished it, he suddenly wore a serious look.

"What's wrong? Is there any change in my situation?" Gavin couldn't hide his uneasiness in his tone.

"Your illness... I'm afraid you can't keep it a secret anymore." Noah sighed and put the report back into the file bag. "You'd better consider telling Wendy about your illness so that she can be mentally prepared."

Before seeing Noah, Gavin had been ready to take a chance to hide his illness, since he had thought that it wasn't so serious that he couldn't hide it.

But Noah's words crushed the last chance.

He suppressed the fear that was rising from the bottom of his heart and looked at Noah. "You..."

"I'll try my best."

Noah knew what Gavin wanted to ask and also knew what the answer he wanted to hear was.

However, he could only answer him truthfully, "Gavin, your illness still depends on surgery and western medicine. What I can do is to help you take care of your body, delay and control the exacerbation of your illness, and to let you have the operation in the best state so that the operation can be successful as much as possible."

Gavin lowered his eyes. "I'm already very grateful to you for trying your best."

Noah patted Gavin on the shoulder and said, "Arrange an appointment with your attending doctor for me. I want to know more about your illness."

Gavin sent Henry's contact information to Noah and left the coffee shop in a trance.

If these misfortunes had happened before he met Wendy, he might have been able to accept them calmly.

But now, he was afraid.

He was not afraid that he would die, but that Wendy would be sad. He was afraid that he would leave her alone in this world. He was afraid that she would not be able to accept the fact that he was sick and died.

"Special Assistant Gavin," the driver suddenly said, "shall we go to the mall to pick up Miss Moore?"

Gavin came to his senses, changed his mood, and asked the driver to drive.

Just now, Joanne called Brian and said that they were about to finish shopping. It should be just the right time for him to pick up Wendy now.

When the white Land Rover drove to the entrance of the mall, Brian and the others were pushing Wendy out, but Wendy didn't seem to be very happy.

Gavin got out of the car. He walked over, squatted down, and looked at Wendy. "What's wrong?"

Wendy said with a frustrated look, "If you came later, I would have been tortured to death."

Gavin cast a look at Brian and Chris. Thinking of the two men's crazy love for their respective wives, he vaguely understood something.

He held Wendy's face and kissed her on the forehead. "Are you feeling better now?"

They were standing at the entrance of the mall. Also, it was time to get off work, so there were many young people coming in and out.

Gavin's affectionate kiss in public attracted countless people's attention. Soon, someone recognized them and whispered, "They seem to be Gavin and Wendy! A handsome man and a beautiful woman. What a good match! No wonder Blake kept making trouble. She must be jealous!"

"Well, the two of them seem to be devoted to each other, and their appearances complement each other. I'm really envious!"

Wendy had once thought that she would never have a chance to hear such comments. Now that she heard them, her cheeks became as red as fire.

She lowered her head and did not dare to look at Joanne and Freya. She pulled Gavin's sleeve and said, "Let's go home."

"Okay." Gavin naturally took the wheelchair's handles from Chris and said, "We'll go back first."

He pushed Wendy to the car as if there were no onlookers present. When he arrived at the car door, he didn't ask the driver for help. He first carried Wendy into the car and then put the wheelchair in the trunk.

As long as it had something to do with Wendy, no matter whether it was serious or trivial, he would do it himself.

Watching the white Land Rover slowly drive away, Freya solemnly announced, "Congratulations to another two formidable members joining the world of public display of affection!"

Joanne couldn't help laughing and took Brian's hand. "Let's go back."

Brian held Joanne's trophies of her shopping with one hand and held Joanne with the other hand, got in the car, and left for home.

Chris asked Freya, "Are we going home too?"

Freya was still not satisfied and refused to leave. "There is another shopping mall next door. I still want to go shopping."

"You have been shopping for a long time. Go back to rest first." Chris was really afraid that Freya and the child in her belly would feel tired, so he coaxed her. "I will accompany you to that shopping mall tomorrow."

Freya thought about it and decided to compromise. "Alright."

"Good girl." Chris kissed Freya on her lips, opened the door, carefully helped her into the car, and went home.

The first to reach the home were Gavin and Wendy, who lived downtown.

As soon as he pushed Wendy into the elevator, Gavin received a call from Daisy. He had thought it was about work. When he picked up the phone, he heard Daisy say,

"Special Assistant Gavin, I have something to tell you. I have a friend who runs an account of entertainment gossip, and he happened to take photos of you and Miss Moore at the entrance of the mall. He wants to ask if he can post the photos?"

"Sure."

Gavin almost did not think about it. Then he hung up the phone and told Wendy about it.

Wendy blinked her eyes in confusion. "Why did you agree?"

Gavin's reason was simple and straightforward. "Because I'm happy."

What had happened in the past three days had made him realize how valuable being aboveboard was.

Now, he and Wendy finally had nothing to worry about. It was meaningless to conceal those photos.

Wendy looked at Gavin suspiciously. "You did it on purpose, right?"

Gavin pushed Wendy into the house and picked her up from the wheelchair. Wendy struggled and said, "It's so close. It won't be a problem for me to walk."

Gavin raised his eyebrows and said, "It's so close, so it won't be a problem for me to hold you in my arms."

Instead of letting go of her, he held Wendy tighter.

Wendy subconsciously put her arms around Gavin's neck, and a subtle sweetness spread all over her heart. She pursed her lips and smiled, burying her face into Gavin's chest.

Gavin put her on the sofa and answered her question. "You're right. I did it on purpose."

"..." Wendy looked at Gavin helplessly and sweetly. "Childish."

Gavin pressed his head on Wendy's forehead and said, "I want the whole world to know that we are dating, which is really childish."

His charming eyes and brows were so close. Wendy took the initiative to kiss his lips as if she had been bewitched.

Gavin took the opportunity to suck Wendy's lips and took the initiative to deepen the kiss.

Since he could hardly hide his illness anymore, he would leave her more beautiful memories when Wendy didn't need to worry about him.

In the evening, some photos where Gavin kissed Wendy's forehead and carried her into the car were posted by a gossip account. In less than 30 minutes, it quickly became a hot topic.

At the same time, there was also the news that Blake had been detained. It was said that it was Dolly who had filed a lawsuit against her.

After taking a shower, she lay comfortably on the bed and browsed the hot topic with the tablet. The more she browsed, the more confused she became. She poked Gavin and asked, "What about that guy surnamed Kang? He's the person behind the scenes. But why hasn't he been involved until now?"

"While planning this matter, Rowdy was always sure that he would be able to escape unscathed. Blake was unaware of that, and she was completely used by him." Gavin said, "Now the consequences which should have been borne by the two of them are borne by Blake alone."

Wendy nodded as if she was reflecting on life.

Gavin turned around and looked at Wendy in leisure. "What are you thinking about?"

"I think that the brain is a good thing. I really hope that Blake has one." Wendy's tone was very sincere.

Gavin knew that Wendy was mocking Blake, but she looked so sincere, as if she was showing consideration for Blake.

He smiled and kissed Wendy on her lips.

Sometimes, this little girl was really more adorable than anyone else.

Wendy voluntarily opened her mouth and responded to Gavin's kiss. She carefully kissed his thin lips, which didn't taste like food, but it was more fascinating than any delicacies.

Gavin just wanted to kiss her, but this little girl seemed to be bewitching him. He couldn't let go of her as soon as he touched her.

Was it a good thing or a bad thing?

Wendy opened her eyes secretly and saw Gavin close his eyes. His usually knitted brows were natural and flat at this moment. He looked handsome and charming. Taking a closer look, she could see that he was intoxicated with the kiss.

Wendy was willing to give everything just for the sake of his devotion and intoxication at this moment.

Wendy closed her eyes, hugged Gavin's waist, and constantly responded to him.

Gavin gradually couldn't control himself, and the more he kissed, the more intoxicated he became.

Seeing what had happened last night was about to repeat itself, Gavin woke up in time and let go of Wendy.

Wendy's eyes, which had been clear, were blurred and confused. "We... can..."

Last night, they hadn't known the truth, so Gavin didn't take the last step out of protection for her.

However, Dolly had personally confirmed that they were not related by blood. What else did he have to worry about?

Gavin pushed aside Wendy's hair on the corner of her forehead and said, "Fool."

Wendy became even more confused.

Gavin held his rapid breathing and said, "Your wounds haven't healed yet and will be affected." He lowered his voice and breathed slowly in Wendy's ear. "For the first time, I don't want you to have a bad impression."

Wendy couldn't help blushing. She got into Gavin's arms and grabbed his clothes to calm her breath.

Gavin stroked Wendy's hair and said, "Go to sleep."

"...Good night." Wendy's voice was as low as a mosquito's, and after saying that, she immediately closed her eyes.

Gavin gave a kiss on the top of her head. "Good night."

It wasn't that he didn't want her.

However, he didn't want it to be so fast.

For him, Wendy was the best gift that God had given him. Of course, he would wait for her to recover completely before leading her to explore the strange world and give her the best experience.
