Chapter 775 Don't Worry. We're All By Your Side!

In the year when Joanne and Freya both went abroad to study, the rumors about Brian and Rosalyn were everywhere, and Chris also changed his girlfriend a few times.

Joanne was secretly out of love, while Freya was openly out of love. The two of them hit it off with each other and did a lot of crazy things together.

However, no matter how crazy they were, they just went on a trip to Europe without a plan. Or, they drove a car to a completely strange place, and even if they got lost, they still ignored it and continued to move forward.

Even during her saddest time, Joanne never dared to go to Brian. Freya dared to confess her love over and over again, but she never dared to propose directly.

Freya had been used to the fact that her confession was rejected.

But if her proposal was refused, it was very likely that Mr. Norris would really not recognize her as his daughter.

Joanne and Freya didn't even dare to think about it, but Wendy just said it calmly, as if it was as easy as saying that she wanted to have dinner with Gavin.

Joanne had to admit that she was shocked by Wendy, who was just a little girl.

Freya was greatly touched. On the road of love, she finally met a female warrior who was braver than her.

Wendy stretched out her hand and waved it in front of Joanne and Freya. "Cousin, Cousin-in-law, what's wrong with you? Why are you so shocked?"

Joanne came to her senses and asked in a daze, "Wendy, why do you have such an idea?"

"There's no special reason." Wendy shrugged and replied, "I just wanted to do it all of a sudden."

Joanne and Freya said at the same time, "Just all of a sudden?"

"Yeah." Wendy looked excited. "Gavin... Well, he can restrain himself and tries to give me a perfect experience. Of course, I have to give him an unforgettable experience! Courtesy demands reciprocity, and then we can have a long-lasting relationship! Besides, if I propose, Gavin will definitely agree."

Joanne and Freya finally understood that the reason why Wendy was so fearless was that she had nothing to worry about.

Back then, if Joanne had gone to find Brian rashly, she might have been embarrassed to find that Brian no longer remembered her.

At the same time, even if Freya had the courage to propose to Chris, Chris would definitely refuse her.

Wendy didn't have these concerns. Even if she found it interesting to propose to Gavin on the spur of the moment, Gavin would still cooperate with her, accept her proposal, and then lead her into the wedding hall.

In a way, Wendy was actually lucky.

Joanne smiled and said, "Since you have made up your mind, I will support you."

Wendy was so happy that she almost jumped up. She looked at Freya excitedly and said, "Cousin-in-law, what about you?"

"Since Joanne has agreed, of course I'll support you." Freya said, "Tell me about your plan."

"Well, it's a simple plan!"

Next, Wendy told them her proposal plan in detail. After that, she said proudly, "What do you think? Is my plan great?"

Freya asked in doubt, "Are you sure you can outsmart Gavin?"

"Gavin is very smart. Ordinary people can't fool him. I admit it." Wendy tilted her head. "But I'm not an ordinary person!"

Joanne couldn't help bursting into laughter.

Wendy became embarrassed then. She touched the tip of her nose and honestly said, "In fact, I just thought of an idiom that Connell had taught me: too worried to be calm."

She might not be able to fool Gavin usually.

But this time, as long as Noah cooperated with her, she was confident that she could outsmart Gavin!

Speaking of Connell, Freya couldn't help asking, "I haven't heard any news of Connell these days. Where did he go?"

"After my mother held the press conference, I contacted Connell once," Wendy said, "but it was his assistant who answered the phone. He said that Connell was on a business trip abroad and it was not convenient for him to answer the phone, so he asked me to make another call after Connell returned from abroad. I owe Connell a thank you, but I haven't told him yet."

Others might not know, but Freya was very clear that Connell really liked Wendy. But in the end, he was also the one who helped Wendy and Gavin stay together.

That guy probably felt that he was very great while regretting it so much that he went abroad to relieve his sadness.

"Let's not talk about Connell." Freya brought Wendy's business up again. "Let's discuss your plan. Since you have decided to carry it out, let's design a perfect plan to shock all men!"

"Okay!"

Wendy soon forgot about Connell, and discussed with Joanne and Freya to perfect her proposal plan.

In the afternoon, Gavin got off work together with Brian and made a phone call. Sure enough, Wendy was still at Prime Villas.

"Let's go together." Brian said, "I have something to ask you."

After getting in the car, Brian pulled down the baffle between the front and back seats for the sake of sound insulation. Then he asked Gavin, "How are you?"

Gavin didn't need to hide it from Brian anymore. He said honestly, "I went to have a check-up some time ago, but the result was not ideal. Noah said that I might not be able to hide my illness anymore."

Brian was most concerned about Wendy. He frowned and asked, "Do you think that Wendy can accept the fact that you're ill?"

"I don't know." After a pause, Gavin shook his head. "Maybe not."

Wendy could be carefree and optimistic about many things.

However, this had something to do with his life. If Wendy knew that he would not live long, Wendy was very likely to completely collapse.

Now, Gavin only prayed that he wouldn't be too daunting when his illness worsened. At least, he didn't want to scare her.

Brian said, "The doctors we've invited for you will come to China tomorrow. They will monitor your condition together with Henry. Aunt will come back soon after dealing with the business in Australia. Don't worry. We are all by your side."

The last simple sentence warmed Gavin's heart.

Gavin said with a smile, "Thank you."

This period might be the final stage of his life.

If so, his only regret was that he failed to fulfill his promise to accompany Wendy for the rest of her life.

Because he knew Brian, he had no other regrets.

Not long after, the car stopped in front of the villa. Brian and Gavin got out of the car and saw Chris's car driving over.

Brian was not surprised at all. Since Wendy was here, Freya would definitely not stay at home alone.

After Chris got out of the car, the three of them walked into the house together. Martha and Mrs. Wu just came down with awakened Aiden and Romy in their arms.

Brian took off his coat and picked Aiden up from Martha. When the little boy saw him, he replied with a "hmm" and turned to lean his face against his chest. He yawned as if he still wanted to sleep.

Brian adjusted the little boy's posture to make him feel comfortable and asked Joanne, "Didn't mom come over today?"

Joanne said, "Mrs. Megan invited her out to play mahjong at noon. It's already so late, so she probably won't come."

"Playing mahjong is not as important as our two little babies." Iris came in with several bags of various sizes. "Mrs. Ye suddenly had something to do and left after two hours of playing mahjong at noon. Then Mrs. Megan and I went shopping, and I bought a lot of winter clothes for Aiden and Romy."

After putting down the bags, Iris found that Wendy and Gavin were also there. She smiled and said, "You two kids, I knew that you would be together."

Wendy held Gavin's hand and said with a bright smile, "Auntie, you're right."

"Since you're all here, I will cook for you in person." Iris pulled up her sleeves and said, "What do you want to eat? Just tell me. If I cannot cook any dishes among them, the chef can definitely cook!"

All of them ordered the dishes one by one. Iris kept the dishes in her mind, walked into the kitchen, and asked the chef to do the dishes she could not cook. Then she started to prepare the few dishes that she was good at.

Because of the division of labor and cooperation, dinner was soon ready. The whole family sat around the table and had a lively meal.

"Gavin, I heard that you received a letter from one of your female fans today." While they were eating, Joanne tilted her head to Brian and asked with a smile.

"Gavin, what did you hide from our Wendy?" Seeing Joanne's look, Freya took the opportunity to make fun of Gavin.

The others followed suit. Wendy pretended to be unhappy with a serious look.

On the contrary, Gavin openly took out a letter from his coat. The letter was yellow in color, which made it look like a serious letter.

He raised his hand and pinched Wendy's face, putting the letter in her hand.

The reason why he did this was naturally to tell everyone that he would tell Wendy everything, especially about other women.

Wendy opened the letter, read it and actually laughed. She even said, "So cute."

Joanne and Freya looked at each other. "Well, let me check it for you."

Wendy handed it to Freya.

"Gavin, fine. Your fan is pretty serious. Look at the address, 'Dear Gavin."

Joanne's interest was piqued when she heard that. "Freya, what's the content?"

Freya returned the letter to Wendy. "She is a serious fangirl of Gavin. She doesn't seem to have a crush on Gavin and just supports him and Wendy. She hopes that they can be together forever. Finally, it's from Yang Xinting and Jian Xiaodan."

"Wow, a reasonable fangirl." Joanne gave Gavin a playful look. "Other two men don't have such reasonable fangirls."

As soon as she finished speaking, Brian and Chris couldn't help coughing.

"Let's eat." Brian stretched out his big hand and touched Joanne's head.

All of them began to eat in high spirits again.

As soon as Joanne finished the soup, Romy suddenly burst into tears. She walked over and picked up the little girl, teasing her. "Are you hungry too?"

"Hmm," the little girl answered, feeling wronged. She looked at Joanne with her eyes like black grapes covered with a layer of mist.

Joanne coaxed her daughter tenderly. Martha happened to prepare the milk. Joanne took it and tested the temperature. It was just right, so she felt at ease and fed it to her daughter.

The little girl was really hungry. She bit the teat and sucked hard. After a short while, a quarter of the bottle of milk was empty.

Brian came over and was about to pick up his daughter. "I'll feed her. You go to eat."

"No, you can eat first." Joanne smiled. "At this speed, it will take less than five minutes for Romy to finish the bottle of milk."

As if she had understood Joanne's words, Xiang Yi suddenly burst into tears, loosened the teat, and stopped drinking milk.

Joanne almost did not react. She put down the bottle and coaxed the little girl. "What's wrong, baby?"

Of course, Romy wouldn't answer, and she was crying more and more fiercely.

Brian smiled and said, "She heard you speak ill of her."

Joanne was shocked. "No." She didn't speak ill of Romy just now, did she?

"Or she wants me to hold her." Brian reached out his hands. "I'll try."

Joanne dubiously handed her daughter to Brian. Sure enough, the little girl stopped crying.

She glared at the girl. "I would rather believe that she heard me speak ill of her. Anyway, children don't have a good memory!"

Brian finished feeding his daughter milk and handed her back to Joanne. The little girl had stopped crying, and she stayed in her mother's arms and hummed in a childish voice. She seemed to be in a good mood. Joanne was finally relieved.

Freya, who was sitting in the dining room, looked at Joanne and Brian. Suddenly, she hoped that the little baby in her belly would grow up and come to this world soon.

Wendy also held Gavin's hand.

Originally, she hadn't had any special feelings for children. Of course, she liked such lovely kids as Aiden and Romy, but she never thought of having children of her own.

However, when she saw Brian and Joanne coaxing their daughter together, she suddenly looked forward to having children with Gavin in the future.

Gavin saw the longing in her eyes and kissed her hair.

He might not be able to satisfy some of her wishes.
