In the Kent family's old residence.
"What?" Rowdy held the corner of the table and his knuckles whitened until it looked as if the bones were about to break through his skin. "Say it again!"
Two of his men had come back, still in their blue uniforms.
They told Rowdy in trembling voices, "Just when the security guard finally allowed us in, Wesley and Gavin came back with their men. We failed to sneak into Gavin's apartment. Later, Wesley said that he has the item, so you can go and look for him."
In the end, Rowdy could not hold in his anger and overturned the solid wood table -
"Bang-"
The table and the tea set on the table fell to the ground and shattered into pieces, with a loud sound.
The two men hurriedly lowered their heads. "Brother Rowdy, we're sorry!"
Yuna and Emily were in the room on the second floor when they heard the loud bang. Emily was shocked, but he soon calmed down and looked at Yuna in confusion. "Is Daddy angry again?"
"Don't be afraid." Yuna carried him to the sofa and said, "I'll go down and have a look. Don't run around."
He nodded and after Yuna left the room, he slowly closed his eyes. His long eyelashes fluttered twice and his eyes, which should have been innocent and happy, gradually dimmed...
On the first floor.
Yuna looked at the mess on the ground and went straight to the two men. "What's going on?"
They cast a glance at Rowdy. Seeing that Rowdy did not stop them, they tSimon Yuna the whole story.
They had to be cautious. After all, it involved a very sensitive topic-Wesley.
Everyone knew that Rowdy hated to hear the name Wesley mentioned, especially when Yuna was present.
Unexpectedly, after listening to them, Yuna did not react violently when she heard Wesley's name being mentioned. She just confirmed with them. "Did Wendy's parents really leave some clues?"
"We can't be 100% sure." They were still cautious with what they said. "However, we had indeed planned to look for this clue and then Wesley told us that... the item was with him."
Yuna looked at Rowdy and silently signaled him to ask what the next course of action would be.
Rowdy abruptly stood up and his chiseled face was gloomy and looked extremely cruel. "It must be due to their brother-and-sister love affair which forced Wendy's adoptive parents to reveal Wendy's identity, so that the clues left behind by the two international criminal police would be discovered by Brian!"
The more he thought about it, the more reluctant Rowdy became. He threw a vase which was on the shelf.
"The vase is not a clue left behind by Wendy's parents. What's the use of smashing the vase?" Yuna unintentionally added fuel to the fire. "Also, let me remind you, that if you hadn't worked with Blake to deal with Gavin, Wendy's adoptive parents would probably have kept Wendy's identity a secret forever, and what was left behind by Wendy's parents would never have appeared in the world."
In other words, Rowdy himself was to be blamed for all the consequences that he was suffering from recently.
Rowdy gave Yuna a sharp look. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, it's useless to be angry. You'd better think about how to remedy it." Yuna said, "You're not calm enough now. Let me list two possibilities for you."
Rowdy said in a low voice, "Say it!"
Yuna calmly analyzed, "First of all, Yuna's parents didn't leave any clues. Wesley is just trying to scare you and make you panic. Your reaction now indicates that you have fallen into Wesley's trap."
Rowdy narrowed his eyes and stared at her with a murderous look. "How did you reach such a decision?"
Yuna did not panic and she continued to explain.
"Because after the car accident, Wendy lived in the welfare institution for a few days."
"At that time, Wendy's parents spent so much effort to find the clues. If they really left the clues to Wendy, the international criminal police could have sent people to take away the clues during the days when Wendy was in the welfare institution."
"But if that was the case, our base would have long been exposed. However, two decades have passed and our base is still fine. Therefore, I suspect that Wendy's parents did not leave any clues."
It was a reasonable analysis.
Rowdy finally looked less gloomy and his tone also softened. "What's the second possibility?"
"The second possibility is that Wendy's parents really left some clues and Wesley does have the clues." Without waiting for Rowdy to lose his temper, Yuna continued, "But two decades have passed and the clues will not go unscathed. We can make some preparations, but there is no need to panic."
Rowdy gazed at Yuna gloomily for a long while and then he slowly opened his mouth and said, "No matter what the truth is, we can solve it in the same way."
Yuna's heart skipped a beat and she suddenly had a very bad feeling. "What way?"
"To kidnap Wendy," Rowdy said. "If her parents left some clues, I believe that Gavin will trade the clues for Wendy. If Wesley lied to me, we can use this little girl as a trade-off to get something else from Brian."
"I don't agree." Yuna said in a high pitched voice. "You can deal with Wesley, but you can't hurt Wendy!"
Rowdy smiled and approached Yuna. He looked down at her and asked, "You're so worried about Wendy, but don't you care about Wesley at all?"
"Are you insane?" Yuna looked unhappily at Rowdy. "Wesley is my enemy. I can't wait to kill him. Why should I care about him?"
Rowdy smiled with satisfaction. "Very good."
Yuna's tone suddenly became cold. "I'll reiterate this. Don't test me again in the future. I don't like it."
Then, she turned around and went upstairs without looking back, hiding her shock and surprise well beneath her expression of hatred.
She knew what Wesley was like. He was not the type to engage in a psychological warfare by saying empty words.
That was to say, Wendy's parents really left some clues and they were now in Wesley's hands.
Brian must have been concerned about Wendy's safety, so he handed the clues over to Wesley. In this way, would they relax their protection of Wendy?
She still had to find a way to inform Gavin about ensuring Wendy's safety.
Back in the room, Yuna sat on the sofa and thought of another thing.
The base of the Kent family was currently under the sole charge of Larry. If Brian destroyed the base, he would only ruin the forces behind Rowdy, instead of Rowdy himself.
Given some time to recover, Rowdy could still come back again and continue doing his evil deeds.
However, if the Kent family's base was destroyed, plus all the evidence of Rowdy's crimes, not to mention Brian and the police at home, even the international criminal police who had been keeping an eye on Rowdy would definitely take action.
Rowdy would be overwhelmingly destroyed only when he was between the hammer and the anvil.
At present, she was the best candidate to collect all evidences of Rowdy's crimes.
Of course, it was very risky. If Rowdy should discover what she was up to due to her carelessness, what awaited her would be endless torture and death.
However, she was doomed to die at any time.
She chose to make a bet in this round!
"Auntie Yuna!" Emily stretched out his hand and waved it in front of Yuna. "Did Daddy scare you? I'm going down to have a chat with him!"
"Emily," Yuna stopped him and said, "I'm fine. Your daddy is in a bad mood now, so you'd better not go down to find him."
"Okay." The little boy tilted his head and looked at Yuna in a cute way. "Then are you in a good mood?"
Yuna smiled and said, "I'm in a good mood as long as I see your face."
The little boy threw himself into Yuna's arms and hugged her happily. "Me too! Auntie Yuna, I like you. I think you're the second mommy that God gave me!"
She held the lovely little boy in her arms and her heart melted for a moment.
Emily lost his mother when he was born. If Rowdy was arrested, he would also lose his father.
Emily was only four years old. How would he live in the future?
"Auntie Yuna, I want to live with you in the future." The little boy snorted unhappily. "Daddy is not a gentleman. He always loses his temper. I don't want to live with him!"
"Okay." Yuna stroked his head and held his little hand. "Let's go. I'll take you downstairs to eat."
"Yeah!"
Emily happily followed Yuna downstairs. The housemaid had already prepared dinner, which consisted of vegetables and meat and was very sumptuous. In addition, she also prepared a glass of warm milk for Emily.
"I don't want to drink milk." The little boy grabbed the corner of Yuna's clothes and pleaded with her. "Auntie Yuna, could you please help me drink it?"
The little boy really did not like drinking milk, since he was a baby. Yuna came up with a compromise. "Milk provides nutrition for you. But if you really don't like it, let's go halves, okay?"
"Okay." Emily climbed up the chair and poured out half of the milk for Yuna. He clinked his glass against hers and said, "Cheers."
He held the glass with both hands, frowned and finished the milk in one gulp.
Yuna picked up a piece of braised pork for him and said, "Good boy, let's eat."
After the meal, Yuna played games with Emily in the living room. During their game session, she suddenly felt nauseous and rushed to the bathroom and vomited.
Rowdy happened to pass by. He went in and looked at Yuna with a frown. "Are you not feeling well? I'll call the doctor."
"No." Yuna rinsed her mouth. "Recently, I have an upset stomach. Occasionally, I feel like vomiting. I must have eaten something at today's dinner, which caused my upset stomach, but I feel much better after vomiting."
"Are you sure you don't need to see a doctor?" Rowdy still looked worried.
"I'm really fine. There's no need to see a doctor."
Yuna back to the living room, picked up the game control and motioned for Emily to continue playing.
Emily walked over and stroked Yuna's face. "You're not feeling well. You'd better listen to Daddy's advice and see a doctor. I'll accompany you."
Yuna burst into laughter and pointed at the TV screen. "Watch it."
She operated the controller flexibly and won the game in less than half a minute.
Emily was finally relieved and nodded. "All right, let's continue playing!"
Rowdy saw that there was nothing unusual about Yuna, so he didn't take it seriously and went out with his men to handle some affairs.
Yuna thought that she had just eaten something bad, so she forgot about it in the blink of an eye.
