Chapter 800 Will You Come to See Me If I Admit That I Am Childish?

"I want to see you."

These five words were like a soft fist, slamming into Yuna's heart.

Instantly, Yuna's heart melted and she almost cried on the phone.

However, she could not be so emotional.

She still had something very important to do. She could not reveal her feelings like this.

Yuna took a deep breath and pretended not to have heard this remark. She directly continued, "Tell Gavin that Rowdy wants to kidnap Wendy."

As if he had not heard Yuna's words, Wesley asked, "What?"

Yuna thought that the signal in the old city was not good, so she repeated it clearly. "Rowdy wants to kidnap Wendy!"

"I can't hear you clearly." Wesley's voice sounded leisurely.

Yuna finally understood. "Wesley, are you doing this deliberately?"

Wesley laughed and said, "Yep, so what?"

"You... you're so childish!" Yuna was so furious that she felt like climbing out of Wesley's phone and beating him up.

Unexpectedly, Wesley did not deny it. Instead, he asked, "Will you come to see me if I admit that I am childish?"

"..." Yuna suppressed her anger. "I'll say it again. Tell Gavin to protect Wendy. Rowdy doesn't intend to let her go!"

Wesley's voice became cold and aloof again. "Why are you telling us this?"

"..." Yuna was speechless for a while.

Wesley did not intend to let Yuna go. He urged her leisurely, "Yuna, answer me."

He said this in a very confident tone as if he had already guessed the answer, but he had to hear Yuna saying it out loud.

In a trance, Yuna thought that Wesley had discovered her secret.

She could not expose herself any longer. Otherwise, Wesley might really find out the real purpose of her returning to Rowdy.

"I don't want to see Wendy getting injured." Yuna said firmly, "Wesley, I did it for Wendy. It has nothing to do with you."

"Really?" Wesley said with a sneer, "Yuna, don't let me find out you're lying."

Yuna held her breath and hung up.

She covered her chest with her hand, only to find that her heart was beating faster than before.

"Damn it, Wesley isn't a charm, but a curse!"

Yuna rushed into the bathroom, washed her face with cold water and finally calmed down.

She dried her hands, deleted the call record and leisurely went downstairs.

Kim was sitting on the carpet in the living room and fighting intensely with Emily in the game.

Yuna walked over and quietly slipped the phone back into Kim's pocket, saying, "I'll accompany Emily now. Go and do your work."

"Okay." Kim handed the gamepad to Yuna. "Then I'm leaving."

Yuna smiled and continued playing games with Emily as if nothing had happened. It was not until Kim stepped out of the door that she glanced at him from the corner of her eyes.

Kim didn't seem to notice anything unusual.

Yuna breathed a sigh of relief. At that moment, Emily cheered, pointed at the LCD screen and said, "Auntie Yuna, I won!"

"Again." Yuna adjusted her sitting posture and looked at Emily. "I'll defeat you this time."

"Humph!" Emily raised his chin. "I'm not afraid. Let's begin!"

In the living room of the Kent family's old residence, a new round of fighting quietly began.

In the villa area tens of kilometers away, Wesley put down his mobile phone, with a smile on his lips.

Perhaps, Joanne was right. The reason why Yuna back was not that she believed in Rowdy. On the contrary, she knew who killed Granny Wallace.

In this case, the arrangements he had made at present were all right.

Next, all he had to do was to force Rowdy into a corner and ask the latter to send Yuna back.

He dialed Gavin's number and told him what Yuna had said.

Wesley had long warned him about it, so Gavin was not surprised. Instead, he was curious about another thing. "How could Yuna dare to contact you from Rowdy's house?"

"She used Kim's phone." Wesley thought for a moment and said, "Kim probably didn't know about it."

Gavin frowned. "Did you expose Kim's identity when you answered the phone?"

"..." Wesley didn't want to answer such a stupid question and he turned to ask, "How many people shall I send?"

Gavin was a patient. It was unrealistic to rely on him to protect Wendy.

However, Wesley had a lot of men under his command.

"Brian has arranged for someone to come over and live downstairs with Noah. Wendy is very safe now." Gavin smiled and said, "You... you'd better worry about Yuna."

Wesley openly accepted Gavin's teasing. "Since it's none of my business, I'll hang up."

Gaging from Wesley's tone, it seemed that he was in a good mood.

While Gavin was still surprised, he heard Wendy's cry from the bedroom.

He put down his phone and walked into the bedroom. "Wendy, what's the matter?"

"The fortune bag that my parents left to me!" Wendy poured out everything in the bag. "I remember that I put it in the bag. Why is it missing?"

Gavin went over and held Wendy's hand. "Don't look for it."

"No, it's very important. I must find it." Wendy's delicate brows furrowed due to her anxiety. After a while, she suddenly felt that something was wrong. She raised her head and looked at Gavin in surprise. "Did you put it away?"

"Yeah." Gavin tried his best to divert Wendy's attention. "You often use this bag. I'm afraid that you'll lose the fortune bag, so I put it away for you."

The more Wendy thought about it, the more confused she became. "Why didn't you tell me? Where did you put it?"

"..."

Gavin was in a dilemma.

If he told the truth, he would have to tell her about her parents' identity, as well as the dangers that she was currently facing.

However, he didn't want her to live in fear.

In order to safeguard Wendy's happiness, he arranged for the people sent by Brian to live downstairs.

"Why do you have so many questions?"

Gavin frowned, held Wendy's face and kissed her on the lips. He didn't answer her question and stopped her from saying what she planned to say next.

"Uhh..."

Wendy didn't respond for a moment. She took a few steps back and fell on the bed. Gavin's slender body pressed down on her.

She blinked and looked at Gavin helplessly, forgetting about the fortune bag. Her mind was only filled with Gavin's warm and sexy lips and his firm and warm chest...

Thinking of that, Wendy could not help swallowing hard.

Gavin was amused and teased her. "What are you thinking about?"

Wendy blurted out, "About you."

When she realized that the answer was too blunt, Gavin was already smiling at her. He looked at her and said, "Don't think about me. I'm here."

His voice was low and sexy, like a kind of drug that could make people intoxicated. Wendy was so dazed that she heard only half of what he said. She closed her eyes subconsciously and waited for something.

Gavin looked at the girl's obedient and expectant look, and the last string of control in his brain suddenly snapped. He kissed her passionately.

After a long intimate session, both of them forgot about the fortune bag.

Gavin stroked Wendy's face and said, "I have to go to the company."

Wendy pursed her red and plump lips. "Can I go with you?"

It was true that bringing Wendy along with him was the best way to protect her.

"Of course." Gavin got up and also pulled Wendy up. "Let's go."

When they went downstairs, Wendy found that there were several people following them. They were all young men in their 20s and 30s, dressed in lightweight black clothes and black pants, as well as cool camouflage boots. It seemed that they knew Gavin.

Wendy held back her doubts. After getting in the car, she continued to observe and found that those people were driving behind them.

She poked Gavin and asked, "Who are they?"

"Bodyguards." Gavin said briefly, "They will follow us whenever we go out in the future."

"Well, cool!" Wendy was excited and immediately, she asked in confusion, "But, do we need bodyguards?"

"For the sake of safety, no matter if we need them or not, they will follow you in the future." Gavin knocked Wendy on the head. "Get used to it. Don't think about shaking them off."

Wendy reluctantly said, "OK."

When they arrived at the company, Gavin and Wendy came across several old shareholders. Gavin introduced Wendy to them out of courtesy. "My girlfriend."

"Well." The old shareholders nodded with a smile. "We all know her."

Wendy was surprised for a moment and then realized that the gossip about herself and Gavin had once been a hot topic. Not to mention the shareholders, she was sure that there was no one in the whole Lambert Group who did not know her.

It had been a totally wrong decision for her to go to the company with Gavin!

She decisively held Gavin's hand.

Gavin looked back in confusion. "What's the matter?"

"I'm not going up." Wendy said, "I want to go back to the apartment!"

Gavin saw through Wendy's fear at a glance. He pulled her into the elevator and said, "You stay in my office and you won't run into anyone else."

It seemed very safe there.

Wendy bit her lip, nodded reluctantly and followed Gavin upstairs.

As soon as they entered the office, the telephone on Gavin's desk rang, followed by Brian's voice.

"Gavin, come to my office."

"Okay." Gavin hung up and turned to give Wendy a kiss. "Wait for me to come back."

Wendy nodded obediently and strolled around Gavin's office, observing his daily work environment.

Outside, Gavin directly pushed open the door of the president's office and went in to ask, "Why are you in such a hurry to see me?"

"Come here." Brian said, "It's a call from Wesley."

Gavin thought of something and tapped on the phone with interest. "Wesley, did you find something?"

"There is indeed a clue in the fortune bag left by Wendy's parents," Wesley said.

"What clue?" Gavin asked, "Is it the address of the Kent family's base or the map?"

"I'm not sure for now." Wesley said, "That jade bead was made through a casting process and there's a memory card hidden in it. But after so long, the memory card is damaged. We can only know what the contents are after it has been repaired."

Brian said, "It should not be difficult for you to repair the memory card."

"Yes," Wesley said, "Gavin, help me prepare some things and send them to my villa. I need them to repair the memory card."

"You go directly to Dui Fang's studio. He has everything there and he can also be your assistant." After a pause, Gavin added, "But, do you need to keep your trip a secret? If Rowdy finds out your trip to Dui Fang's studio, he can basically guess that you are trying to find the clues."

"There's no need to keep it a secret." Wesley said leisurely, "Let Rowdy know. The more detailed, the better."
