Chapter 843 I Will Always Protect Her

Except for Brian and Joanne, as well as a few people who often came into contact with her, Romy almost didn't want others to hug her. Even if she accepted the strangers temporarily, she would cry soon.

But this time, when Emily hugged her, she did not protest or cry.

"Emily," Yuna deliberately asked, "if the baby always asks you to hold her, what will you do?"

"Then I'll keep holding the baby." Emily rubbed Romy's face. "I'll always protect her!"

Joanne smiled, soon took Romy back, and put her on the sofa.

Although Emily said that he could hold her all the time, he was still a child of limited physical strength. After half an hour, his hands and legs would be sore.

Romy suddenly became very obedient and didn't cry even when she was put on the sofa. Joanne asked Emily to watch her and walked to the French window of the living room with Yuna, wondering how to ask the question.

Yuna saw Joanne's hesitation and said, "Joanne, you can ask directly."

Joanne looked back at Emily, who was lying prone on the sofa and teasing Romy, and asked in a low voice, "Did Wesley say when to send Emily back?"

"..." Yuna was silent for a moment before saying, "It should be soon."

Joanne stroked Yuna's arm and said, "Will you be reluctant to part with him?"

Yuna forced a smile and said, "Emily isn't my biological son, but I've always regarded him as my child. It seems that he relies on me, but in fact, we huddled together for warmth."

"This child is good except that he doesn't have a good father," Joanne sighed softly. "I hope he won't be affected by Rowdy and can always be so artless and happy."

"In fact, I don't want him to go back." Yuna shook her head and continued, "He is still young, and he doesn't have a clear idea of what is right and what is wrong. I am afraid that Rowdy will take advantage of his talent."

"But, Yuna," Joanne said, "he is Rowdy's son after all."

Other than this sentence, Joanne did not know how to comfort Yuna.

"..." Yuna smiled helplessly and didn't speak.

At this time, Romy cried in a low voice. Emily hurriedly called Joanne. "Auntie Joanne, the baby seems to be unhappy!"

Joanne walked over and picked up Romy, saying, "It's time for her to change her paper diaper."

After Joanne changed her diapers, Romy fell asleep in Joanne's arms again. Martha and Simon also came back after lunch.

"Mrs. Lambert, you can go down and chat with Miss Xu." Martha said, "Simon and I will just watch Aiden and Romy."

Joanne went downstairs and saw Emily yawning on the sofa. She walked over and asked him, "Are you sleepy?"

Emily nodded. "I also want to sleep."

Joanne pointed to the second floor and said, "You can go upstairs and find an empty room to sleep."

"Okay." Emily rubbed his eyes and said in a daze, "Thank you, Auntie Joanne."

Only Joanne and Yuna were left in the living room.

Joanne didn't want to continue with those heavy topics, so she talked about her experience of pregnancy with Yuna.

At about three o'clock in the afternoon, Brian came back. Yuna got up sensibly and said, "I'm going back too." She suddenly thought of Emily. "I'll go up and wake Emily up."

"Yuna, you don't have to." Joanne stopped Yuna and said, "Let him sleep here, and it's okay for him to go back after waking up."

Seeing that Brian didn't object, Yuna didn't say anything else. She tightened her coat and walked out of the villa.

Brian took off his gloves and frowned slightly. "Is that little guy sleeping here?"

"Yeah, he was tired, so I asked him to go up to sleep." After hesitating for a moment, Joanne still said, "In fact, we should thank Emily today."

Brian raised his eyebrows and motioned for Joanne to continue.

"At noon, Romy suffered from the symptoms of asthma. At that time, I was chatting with Yuna, and Emily discovered it." Joanne was still a little scared. "If it weren't for Emily, I don't know what would happen to Romy now."

Brian glanced at the second floor and dismissed his plan.

He had wanted Simon to send the little guy back to Wesley.

At this time, Joanne's mobile phone rang. She answered the phone. "Wendy, what's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm just bored. I think I'm going moldy in the hospital..." Wendy said with boredom, "Cousin, I'm going to your house to play with Aiden and Romy for a few hours before going back to the hospital!"

"But I'm not at home." Joanne said, "Brian and I came out with Aiden and Romy."

Wendy was surprised and curious. "Where are you?"

Joanne did not know where they were, so she could only describe it in general, "We're on... the top of a mountain."

"It's cool!" Wendy immediately made a decision. "I'll go there too!"

Joanne looked at Brian and said, "Wendy wants to come."

Brian said, "Gavin knows this place. Let her find Gavin."

Joanne told Wendy what Brian had said and asked, "Should we prepare dinner for you and Gavin?"

"Of course!" Wendy said, "We'll be there soon!"

After hanging up the phone, Wendy immediately went to find Henry and asked with expectation, "Can Gavin be discharged from the hospital for a day? We'll come back tomorrow."

Henry checked Gavin's recent results and nodded. "There should not be a big problem. But to avoid any accidents, you must be back before tomorrow afternoon."

"No problem!"

Wendy ran back to the ward excitedly. Before she arrived, her voice had been heard. "Gavin, Gavin!"

Gavin was reading a document when he heard Wendy's voice. He closed the document and waited. Sure enough, the next second, Wendy pushed the door open and threw herself into his arms.

He put the document aside and looked at Wendy. "What makes you so happy?"

"Let's go find my cousin and cousin-in-law. They're on the top of a mountain, and it sounds cool. I want to go there, too! Besides, Henry also allowed us to stay outside until tomorrow afternoon!"

Wendy almost finished the long sentence without breathing. Her almond-shaped eyes were shining, and she couldn't hide her joy and expectation at all.

Gavin knew why she was so excited.

After he went back to the hospital last time, he didn't leave the hospital again. Every day, Wendy accompanied him in this place that was less than 60 square meters, so she had been long bored.

He lifted the quilt and said, "I'll take you there after changing my clothes."

Wendy nodded hard and brought Gavin a set of clothes. Without looking at it, he took off his hospital gown, about to put on the set of clothes.

"Gavin!" Wendy screamed and covered her face. "How could you take off your clothes in front of a girl?"

"Of course, I can't take off my clothes in front of other girls." After a pause, Gavin added, "But, you are my fiancee."

Wendy was stunned for a moment, and the sweetness lingered in her heart.

She removed her hands from her face and kissed Gavin with a smile. "Hurry up."

Gavin put on a scarf and took Wendy out of the ward, while the bodyguards naturally followed.

The sun had begun to set. After leaving the hospital, several cars drove up the mountain one after another.

On the top of the mountain.

Joanne saw that it was about time, so she said to Brian, "The equipment and ingredients are ready in Yuna's house. I'll go there to prepare dinner. You stay here and watch Aiden and Romy so that they won't cry when they wake up."

"Okay."

Brian took her coat and helped Joanne put it on. He watched her go out and then turned to go upstairs.

When he reached the second floor, Emily happened to push open the door and walk out. It was obvious that he had just woken up.

Emily had been a little dazed, but when he saw Brian, he completely woke up, straightened up, and said, "Uncle."

His voice was a little bit timid, and it was not difficult to tell that he was actually a little afraid of Brian.

Brian looked at him and said, "Thank you."

"Huh?" Emily blinked and looked at Brian in confusion.

Brian added, "Thank you for finding out that the baby was uncomfortable. If it weren't for you, the baby would have been in danger."

Emily chuckled. "I promised Auntie Joanne that I would take care of the babies! But why did the baby suddenly feel uncomfortable?"

Brian just said, "She is sick."

Emily tilted his head and walked up to Brian. "Uncle, I know an excellent doctor. I can ask him to treat the baby."

He looked serious and seemed to simply care about Romy.

Brian looked at Emily for a while and finally smiled at him and said, "No, I've gotten doctors for the baby. Auntie Joanne and the others are all next door. Are you going back?"

Emily nodded and waved at Brian. "Goodbye, Uncle."

He hopped downstairs. After playing for a while outside, he ran back to the villa. As soon as he entered the door, he smelled a burst of fragrance. He followed the aroma into the kitchen and found Joanne and Yuna.

Joanne was wearing an apron, just like Granny Helen usually did, and the fragrance came out of the pot in front of her.

Emily swallowed a mouthful of saliva. Then, his stomach growled.

Yuna touched Emily's head and asked, "Are you hungry?"

"Yes!" Emily took a deep breath and looked at Joanne with admiration. "Auntie Joanne is so amazing!"

Joanne had already made Steamed Chicken with Chili Sauce. She picked up a piece of chicken and sent it to Emily's lips. "Try it."

Emily took a bite and was too excited to speak for a long time. He licked his lips and raised his index finger wrapped in gauze. "Can I eat another one?"

"Of course." Joanne handed the chopsticks to Emily. "Sit down and eat."

Emily ate another piece of chicken and got satisfied. He closed his eyes and basked in the aftertaste, which amused Joanne.

Joanne thought that Emily would continue to eat, but the little boy put down the chopsticks.

She was confused and asked, "Are you full?"

"I can't eat them all by myself. I have to wait for everyone to eat together." Emily licked the corner of his lips and jumped over to hug Yuna's leg. "When can we have dinner, Auntie Yuna?"

"Soon." Yuna said, "When Auntie Joanne cooks the remaining dishes, and after Sister Wendy and Uncle Gavin arrive, we can have dinner."

"Will Sister Wendy come too?" Emily was happier, and his eyes lit up. "I'll go and see if she's here."

After that, Emily ran out of the door like a gust of wind and ran towards the parking lot.

At this moment, a white off-road vehicle entered the parking lot.

He couldn't see the persons in the car, so he wasn't sure if it was Wendy. He could only stand still and wait.
