Chapter 844 Do You Have an "Unspeakable" Purpose?

Gavin and Wendy left the hospital and soon drove on a mountain road.

The long and winding road seemed to go on forever, and only their car was running down the road. Wendy couldn't help wondering why her cousin-in-law brought her cousin to the wilderness.

If it weren't for the fact that this road was relatively flat and wide and appeared like a proper road, she would think that Gavin brought her here for an "unspeakable" purpose...

An hour later, a security checkpoint appeared in front of them. Nearly ten young men in black uniforms were guarding it, which made people feel relieved and scared at first sight.

Gavin rolled down the window. One of the bodyguards recognized him and greeted him with a smile. "Special Assistant Gavin, it's been a long time! I heard that you've been in hospital recently. Are you feeling better now?"

"Much better, thank you." Gavin asked, "Are Mr. Brian and Mr. Mu back yet?"

The bodyguard thought for a moment and said, "Mr. Brian came back at three or four o'clock, while Mr. Mu just came back."

Gavin nodded, started the car, and drove onwards.

Wendy leaned back and took a deep breath.

Gavin was confused. "What's wrong? Are you tired?"

Wendy looked ahead and did not answer. "So my cousin and cousin-in-law are really here..."

"If they're not here, why did I drive you here?" Gavin frowned and turned to look at Wendy. "Wendy, what are you thinking?"

Wendy coughed to cover up something, and she pointed to the front and said seriously, "Drive carefully! I won't let you drive if you look at me again! You are a patient, and you shouldn't have driven!"

The point was that she couldn't let Gavin know what she was thinking!

"Even if I'm a patient, you can't drive." Gavin decisively said word by word, "In the future, you mustn't touch the steering wheel again."

Several months ago, Wendy picked a car in Chris's garage, and a few days later, she had a car accident.

Afterward, Gavin was still frightened when he saw cars of the same brand and model.

So, as long as he could control Wendy, she must not touch the steering wheel again!

Wendy held her cheeks and looked at Gavin curiously. "Does it... cast its shadow on you?"

He narrowed his eyes and admitted frankly. "Yes, it does. You..."

"I will shine and expel the shadow!" Wendy interrupted Gavin and said excitedly, "After we go back to the hospital tomorrow, you give me the car key and I'll let you see my driving skills!"

Gavin glared at her and refused without hesitation. "Don't even think about it!"

"..." Wendy still wanted to gain a chance for herself, but the car had already reached the top of the mountain.

Her eyes lit up, which was not too much to describe her feelings now.

Even after racking her brains, she did not expect to see such a picture on the top of the mountain. Every building was magnificent and unique, with the view of nature as its background. It was a spectacular and wonderful picture.

Also, it was an unreplaceable picture!

She was wrong! She was not in the wilderness but a paradise!

Wendy couldn't wait to open the door, so she got out of the car in a hurry.

The cold wind howled and pounced on her. It was like a sharp knife, about to pierce into her skin. However, at the same time, it also carried the chill exclusive to the mountain. No matter how cold it was, she felt it pleasing.

"Sister Wendy!" She heard Emily's voice.

Wendy followed the voice and looked over. It was really that little guy.

She walked over and pinched Emily's cheek. "Why are you here?"

Emily tilted his head and said, "Auntie Yuna, Mr. Mu, and I live here!"

"I know that." Wendy smiled and added, "What I mean is, why are you outside on such a cold day?"

"I'm waiting for you." Emily blinked his innocent eyes. "Auntie Yuna told me that you and Uncle Gavin would come. I wanted to see you as soon as possible."

Wendy's heart melted. She took out a big lollipop and handed it to Emily. "This is for you. Take me to Auntie Yuna."

Emily nodded obediently and led Wendy and Gavin to the villa. As soon as he entered the house, he shouted, "Sister Wendy and Uncle Gavin are here!"

Gavin frowned and grabbed Emily. "Little guy, wait a minute."

Emily looked at Gavin blankly and asked, "Sir, what's the matter?"

"You call her Sister Wendy, but why do you call me Uncle Gavin?" Gavin emphasized. "We're an unwed couple."

Either Uncle or Brother was just a form of address for Emily. He could not understand the subtle difference between them.

He blinked innocently and said, "Sister Wendy is still very young, so I call her sister. And what does an unwed couple mean?"

"An unwed couple is..." Halfway through his words, Gavin suddenly realized that the little guy was not good at Mandarin Chinese, so he couldn't understand the meaning of "an unwed couple".

Gavin gave up explaining and knocked on Emily's head. "Do you mean that I'm old?"

Emily thought for a moment and pressed his thumb's nail against his index finger. He made a gesture meaning "a little bit" and said, "Not very old!"

So the little guy meant that he was indeed older than Wendy, didn't he?

Gavin tut-tutted. "I'm going to send you back to Rowdy!"

Emily widened his eyes and asked curiously, "Huh? Sir, do you know my daddy?"

"..."

Gavin was choked by Emily's question and didn't know how to answer him.

He didn't want the child to know the grievances between them and Rowdy.

Coincidentally, Joanne came out of the kitchen and said, "Get ready. It's almost time for dinner."

Yuna took out her mobile phone and said, "I'll call Wesley and ask him when he'll be back."

"There's no need to call," said Gavin. "Just now, the bodyguard told me that Wesley was back. He must be dealing with something in the club."

Yuna replied with an "oh" and took back her phone. Unconsciously, she frowned slightly.

Wesley was back, but he didn't even inform her.

Joanne dried her hands and said, "I'll go back to see Aiden and Romy."

She returned to her villa, only to find that Wesley was actually here. She was surprised and then felt that it was just right.

She walked to Wesley and said after thinking for two seconds, "Wesley, I think I should tell you something."

Wesley glanced at Joanne and asked, "What is it?"

"I chatted with Yuna this afternoon." Joanne said, "I found that Yuna is most worried about Emily now."

"That little guy is not her family." Wesley frowned and asked, "Why does she care so much about him?"

"Yuna told me that she had always treated Emily as her own son." Joanne asked tentatively, "So, do you know what to do?"

"..." Wesley thought for a moment and said, "You mean, Yuna and I should give birth to a child so that she'll divert her attention to her biological child?"

"Ahem!" Joanne no longer cared about the courtesy and shook her head with a smile. "I heard from Brian that you started a technology company, and everything in the office are high-tech products. Now I think... you also have a very high-tech mind."

Wesley rarely showed a look of confusion. "What do you want me to do?"

"Don't you want Yuna to stay?" Joanne said, "Then you have to reassure her!"

Right now, Brian and Martha came down from upstairs with the two little guys in their arms. Joanne didn't care whether Wesley understood or not and went to hug Aiden from Martha's arms.

It was obvious that Romy had just woken up. She kept yawning and clenched her fist beside her lips as if she was ready to lick it at any time.

Martha looked outside and said, "The wind is too strong. Mrs. Lambert, go and have dinner. I'll take care of Aiden and Romy."

Joanne nodded. "We will be back soon."

When they walked out of the villa, a gust of cold wind blew. Brian naturally held Joanne in his arms. "Are you feeling cold?"

Joanne rubbed her hands. "I won't feel cold when you're with me."

Brian completely forgot Wesley, who was following them. He provided Joanne a shelter from the wind and took her into the villa.

Wesley looked at their backs and seemed to gradually understand what Joanne had just meant when she said "reassure Yuna".

She meant that he should let Yuna believe that he would handle everything properly, just like Joanne believed that Brian would provide her shelter from the wind and rain.

He seemed to... know what to do.

Everyone finally arrived, and they were ready to have dinner.

Just now, Emily was clearly about to drool, but at this moment, facing a group of adults, he instantly behaved well. He sat upright and was determined not to be the first to eat.

Two seconds later, he suddenly remembered. "Auntie Joanne, where are the babies? What will they eat? Won't they be hungry if they don't eat?"

"They will drink milk." Joanne picked up a piece of steamed chicken with chili sauce for Emily. "You liked this the most just now. Eat quickly."

Emily didn't quite understand but still nodded. When the adults started to eat, he picked up his chopsticks and took a bite of the chicken.

Wendy and Emily enjoyed this meal the most.

After the meal, they chatted in the living room. The manager of the club came in with a bunch of keys and said, "Special Assistant Gavin, your and Miss Moore's house is ready."

Gavin took the keys. Wendy couldn't help but come over and asked, "Where do we live?"

The manager said, "It's next door to Mr. Lambert and Mrs. Lambert, not far from here."

Wendy couldn't be more satisfied. She thanked the manager and came over to rub Emily's face. "Do you want to sleep with me tonight?"

Emily almost subconsciously looked at Gavin and saw him narrow his eyes and give him a dangerous signal.

He hurriedly shook his head and said, "I, I, I want to sleep with Granny Helen. She will be scared if she sleeps alone!"

Wendy deliberately said, "I will be scared too. Don't you feel worried about me?"

Emily pointed at Gavin and said innocently, "Uncle Gavin will feel worried about you..."

"Puff..." Wendy was amused by the little guy. She rubbed his hair and said, "Well, I'll not tease you."

Again, Emily secretly glanced at Gavin, and when he didn't receive any danger signal, he was finally sure that he was safe.

He took a deep breath and then slowly exhaled, looking as if he had just survived a disaster.
