Chapter 854 Yuna, Come with Me for a Checkup

Wesley left the villa with Yuna and Emily. A car was waiting at the door.

The driver opened the door of the back seat, and Emily nimbly climbed up.

Wesley got in the car from the other side, sat down, and glanced at Emily. "Are you practicing Taekwondo?"

From the way Emily got into the car, he learned that Emily was practicing a kind of ancient martial Taekwondo which was of great aggressiveness. Without beautiful moves, it was aimed at knocking down the opponent.

Emily nodded and answered obediently, "Dad said that I could protect myself as well as the people I wanted to protect by practicing Taekwondo, so I'm practicing it!"

Wesley asked, "Did your dad tell you why you should learn to protect yourself?"

Emily's sparkling eyes suddenly darkened. "Dad didn't tell me, but I know."

Because his dad... had many enemies.

His dad hid him in the United States so that those enemies would not know of his existence and he would not be in danger.

After a long time, Emily looked at Wesley and asked worriedly, "Mr. Mu, are you my father's enemy?"

The little boy's eyes were full of struggle and expectation, and it seemed that he was waiting for Wesley to say no.

However, Wesley was indeed at daggers drawn with Rowdy. This was a fact that couldn't be overturned.

Wesley moved his hand and finally raised it to touch Emily's head. "I won't hurt you." The grudge between him and Rowdy had nothing to do with this little guy.

Emily looked down, and his long eyelashes covered his great disappointment in his eyes.

After a long while, Emily whispered, "Mr. Mu, I will protect you. I will ask Daddy not to hurt you, Auntie Yuna, Auntie Joanne, the babies, and many others."

Emily didn't ask Wesley who had done something wrong between Mr. Mu and his daddy.

When he was in the United States, his nanny would occasionally talk about his daddy with the bodyguards.

They thought he couldn't understand, but in fact, he could.

Yuna's heart ached. She hugged Emily and tried to divert his attention. "Emily, it will be your birthday in a few days. Do you remember?"

Emily thought about it and nodded. "I do!"

As soon as he finished speaking, he broke free from Yuna's arms and crept to Wesley's side. "Mr. Mu, can I ask you a favor?"

Wesley looked at the little boy and said, "Out with it."

"Can you send me back after my birthday?" Emily's black and round eyes were filled with expectation as if it were his last wish.

Wesley was quite surprised. "Do you know that I'm going to send you back?"

Emily said in English, "I can feel it."

Wesley knew that it was not good to be soft-hearted to this little guy, but he couldn't help agreeing. "Okay."

Emily's eyes lit up. He got up and kissed Wesley, saying, "I'm starting to like you a little bit. Come on!"

Except for Yuna, no one dared to take the initiative to kiss Wesley.

Wesley didn't expect the little boy to be the second one.

What was even more unexpected was that he didn't hate to get close to this little boy.

It was as incredible as him falling in love with Yuna. It should be noted that this little boy was Rowdy's son.

When he was having this wonderful feeling, the car stopped.

Emily saw several private helicopters outside and exclaimed, "Wow! Have we arrived at the heliport?"

Yuna also had doubts. "Aren't we driving to the hospital?"

"It's too slow and not safe." Wesley's explanation was simple and straightforward. "We'll go there by helicopter."

Emily cheered and jumped out of the car. "Mr. Mu, you are so cool. I like helicopters!"

Yuna had taken Wesley's private helicopter before, and everything inside was still the same as before.

There was a separate office area on the helicopter. As soon as Wesley got on the helicopter, he entered the area. Yuna took Emily to sit down randomly.

After a while, the helicopter took off.

Emily unfastened his seat belt, looked around curiously, and occasionally went to disturb Wesley.

Time flew. Soon, the private helicopter landed on the heliport of the hospital's roof.

Emily jumped down, and the cold wind made him scream, "Help, Auntie Yuna!"

Yuna walked over and buttoned Emily's coat. She turned around and asked Wesley, "Where is Gavin living?"

Wesley said, "He's living two floors below."

They entered the elevator and went down two floors. The shiny door, made of stainless steel, slid open, and Emily was the first to rush out.

There was only one door. Emily even didn't have to ask which ward Gavin lived in. He ran to poke the doorbell and tilted his head to the surveillance camera. "Sister Wendy!"

Wendy thought she had seen wrongly. She ran out and opened the door. It was really Emily, Boss Hayes, and Yuna who were standing outside.

She picked up Emily happily. "Why are you here?"

"Hehe!" Emily rubbed Wendy's face with a smile. "I'm here to see you and Uncle Gavin!"

Wendy gave Emily a kiss and greeted Wesley and Yuna. "Come in. We just finished breakfast."

Wesley walked in front of Yuna and pushed open the door of the ward. He saw Gavin lying on the hospital bed, with a pale face showing his frailty.

"When I heard the little boy's voice, I guessed it was you." Gavin sat up and smiled. "Don't worry, I'm fine."

Wesley asked, "Have you thought it over? Are you going to have an operation?"

Gavin nodded. "I've long thought it over. How are you and Brian? Is everything going well?"

"Not bad. There's nothing too troublesome." Wesley said lightly, "Rowdy is not capable enough."

"In any case, you have to be careful. Rowdy is not capable enough, but he is sinister enough." Gavin said, "You don't have to worry about me. Wendy and I can handle it."

"..." Wesley didn't speak.

At this time, Henry and Noah came in to measure Gavin's body temperature and some other data. They also asked him a few questions and required detailed answers.

"Sister Wendy." Emily asked in a low voice, "Are they Uncle Gavin's doctors?"

"Yes." Wendy nodded. "Do you know what the attending doctor means?"

Emily nodded. "I know."

Not long after, Henry and Noah left, and Emily quietly followed them out of the ward.

Noah had been talking with Henry about Gavin's condition. He inadvertently found that there was some noise behind him. He turned around and found that it was the little guy in the ward.

He signaled for Henry to pause and turned to look at Emily. "What's wrong?"

Emily took out a lollipop from the pocket of his coat and handed it to Noah. "Here you are."

Noah took the lollipop and rotated it in his hand. "Why did you give this to me?"

"Please cure Uncle Gavin," Emily said. "I still have a lot of lollipops in my house. If you can cure Uncle Gavin, I'll give you all my lollipops."

Noah smiled and squatted down to look at the little boy. "Why do you want to do this?"

"Because Sister Wendy likes Uncle Gavin very much." Emily tilted his head and added, "Sister Wendy is very sad because Uncle Gavin is ill. So I hope that Uncle Gavin will get better!"

"I will try my best." Noah put the lollipop into his pocket. "Go back to the ward. Don't run around."

Emily thought that Noah had promised him, so he bowed to Noah very politely. "Thank you, Doctor!"

He turned around and hopped back to the ward as if he had completed an important mission.

Yuna soon noticed that Emily was in a particularly good mood after coming back from the outside. She couldn't help asking, "Emily, where did you go?"

Emily whispered, "I asked the doctor to cure Uncle Gavin, and he promised me!"

Yuna quickly understood something and did not know how to respond for a while.

When Emily went out, Gavin told them that no doctor was sure to cure him.

Noah promised Emily just because he didn't want to let a child down.

At this time, Gavin handed two documents to Wesley and said, "Help me take them to Brian. You're so busy. Just go ahead."

Wesley glanced at Yuna and said, "I am in no hurry. I have something else to do."

Yuna suddenly had a bad feeling. "Something else?"

Wesley said, "I'll take you to have a checkup."

All of a sudden, Yuna remembered that Joanne had reminded them to do a checkup, as well as the subsequent regular checkups according to the doctor's arrangement.

That day, Wesley had something to do, so she had escaped.

Wesley had never mentioned it after going back, so she thought he had forgotten it.

It would have been good if he had forgotten it. Why did he suddenly say that he would take her to have a checkup?

Yuna felt as if she had been thrown onto the top of a snowy mountain. She felt chilly from head to toe instantly.

However, she couldn't panic. As long as the checkup was not done, she could continue to hide the truth.

"Aren't you very busy these days?" Yuna said, "You can go to work first. As for the checkup, it doesn't matter if it's delayed for a few days."

She didn't want Wesley to know the cruel truth. She didn't want him to suffer from the same things as she did.

Wesley said, "I'm not busy now."

Yuna was choked and used her last move. "Have you made an appointment? Generally, you need to make an appointment for this kind of checkup."

"I don't need it." Wesley clutched Yuna's hand and said, "Let's go."

Yuna was unwilling to move, and froze on the spot.

Wesley noticed that something was wrong with her. He gazed at Yuna sharply and asked, "Are you afraid?"

Yuna denied it immediately. "Why should I be afraid?"

Yes, she was afraid. It was the first time in her life that she was so scared.

"Since you are not, come with me."

Wesley dragged Yuna out with determination. Yuna struggled several times but failed.

In the ward, Wendy looked at Gavin and said in wonder, "Why do I feel weird?"

"Yep." Gavin said, "Yuna is a little weird."

"Sister Wendy." Emily tugged at Wendy's sleeve. "It will be my birthday in a few days. Can you celebrate it with me?"

"Sure." Wendy asked, "What present do you want?"

"I want you..." Before Emily could finish his words, his ear had been pinched by Gavin. He screamed, "Ouch, it hurts..."

Wendy patted Gavin's hand and said, "What are you doing? Let go of Emily."

"Kid, how dare you want my fiancee?" Gavin dragged Emily onto the hospital bed and said, "Come up. I'll spank you!"

Emily explained with a crying face, "I just want Sister Wendy to celebrate my birthday with me..."

Only then did Gavin realize that Emily had not finished his words.

He let go of Emily embarrassedly. "That's okay. You can go down now."

Emily angrily put his hands on his hips. "You are also a bad man, humph!"

"Huh?" Gavin raised his eyebrows and reached out to tickle Emily.

"Ah! Haha..." Emily let out a cry and then fell on the bed while giggling, trying to fight back against Gavin.
